I ordered this camera right before we went to Europe. I quickly read the user's guide and was able to figure it out with ease and I'm not a camera buff! Takes great pictures. I am still reading and learning more about what it can do. Would hightly recommend it for people who like to point and shoot like me.

HAVEN'T USED IT THAT MUCH YET BUT AM TAKING A VACATION WHICH WILL GIVE IT A GOOD WORKOUT...SO FAR SO GOOD.

Just took the camera on vacation, no complains, the camera meets all my expectations. The larger zoom comes in handy and the overall size of the camera is perfect for traveling.

It has very clear picture.Just one improvement:The flash light: It forces my finger to move out when it pops up. And it has error message when the flash light is slightly blocked (by my finger). I have to restart the camera again. This is very annoying.

The Canon Power Shot SX260 HS, is everything that consumer reports said it was and then some! The cameras ability to reach out for a closeup is incredible. I work in the cities and jungles of Southeast Asia and I truly regret not having this camera on the first 7 trips as it also doubles as my HD video recorder. I love the of this camera. It had features usually found on SLR cameras. Live the ease of use, the clear crisp pictures and that you can take pictures in the dark.

I am so happy with this camera. I am older and have issues with shaking hands. this camera allows me to take great pictures!

I just recently bought this camera and am very impressed so far, it has all the features I was looking for and most importantly takes a great picture whether taking a normal shot or when zoomed in at its optical max of 20x.

It takes pretty decent photos for a compact digital camera. I'm very happy with it. Its zooming ability is truly magnificent. I've managed to take some amazing photos of wild birds, night blossoms in the moon light, etc. A wonderful camera.

I am by NOOO means a professional photographer. I am a scrapbooker, and like to take pictures simply, without 100 lenses, filters, ISO adjustments, and other complicated stuff. The modes on this camera are AMAZING. The face smoothing feature is great (makes me look like a model-oh yeah!), the color swapping is awesome, the zoom works great, and the red is actually really pink, which I like better. This is the BEST camera for easy users who don't want to spend their trips adjusting and fiddling with lenses.

I needed a camera for my Digital Imaging class that would take great pictures but not break the bank. The Canon SX260 has exceeded expectations and kept me shooting after I got my A. I can't imagine a better camera at this price point.

LOVE this camera. Chose it over the SX280HS and I'm so glad I did. Takes beautiful pictures at a great price!!

It is compact easy to handle, takes movies too, so far photos have been real clear and printed real well, good for trips.

I've had this camera for a few weeks now and nearly everything is wonderful.My minor annoyances are: 1) I regularly use a Gorillapod and on my old camera (Canon PowerShot SD850IS), I could leave the little attachment part screwed in all the time. On this camera, it screws in right on the hinge of the battery/SD card door. Bummer. 2) I don't find the labels on the settings dial second-nature yet. P mode versus Av mode? What's that overlapping-circles icon for again? Luckily, descriptions pop up on the screen if you leave the "hints" turned on, but I'm looking forward to the day when I don't have to think so hard about getting to the settings I want.The menu navigation is a little different than my old PowerShot, but easy to figure out and use. So far, I'm pleased with the new features, though I haven't been able to try them all yet.Overall this is a great camera and I'm anticipating many years of happy use!

I didnt like this camera, I love canon so when me last one broke I bought this one. The first problem is the flash..... cause it comes out in the right part so when someone is taking the picture it jams.Also the protection of the lense broke, pretty bad qualityAfter a few months the camera can still take pictures but without the screen it's just a shot in the dark..

So far I really like this camera. Have not learned yet how to work all the functions but the pictures print out beautifully. Am very pleased with this product.

Another great point and shoot camera from Canon. My wife carries this in her purse for pictures of the kids. It takes great pictures and I like the GPS feature.

I could not be more pleased with this camera, as my wife loves it and it takes great quality pictures and video. It's also easy to use and figure out the advanced features. Plus when using the 20x zoom, the stability is very good. Not perfect mind you, but as close as you can get.I did a lot of research before this purchase and this camera beats out the more expensive travel zooms models: Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS20, Sony Cybershot DSC-HX20V, and especially the Nikon Coolpix S9300. Don't let the smaller 12.1 megapixel number fool you. It doesn't matter unless you plan to print a poster-board picture at full HD... I don't think you want to. The video is maybe a little better on the Sony, but the Canon still delivers great full HD 1080p video and overall it is the best pick.

I bought this camera after reading the reviews on a travel site. It's not too heavy and convenient for taking great pictures when I'm travelling. I love the optical zoom! I was able to take a great picture of a humming bird in my garden without getting too close and the clarity was good.

Compact and easy to keep in my purse for whatever picture moment should arise. The picture quality is great. Easy to use.

The zoom on this camera is very nice. The clarity of pictures and video are really great. I thought this camera had a way toemail from the camera but I was wrong in thinking that the "GPS" function did this. The GPS idea is kinda dumb. But I do like the camera and would recommend it. One tip...do not let Cannon have the opportunity to send you marketing email...They go way overboard on daily junk mail...

I am very happy with the camera. The flash is in an awkward position, as others mentioned, but not that bad. I wish it had come with a more in depth paper book. I did download what I thought I needed but a smaller book to take with me is what would have been better as I'm not too good with the newer technology and need reminders.

This camera is almost exactly what I wanted, and takes great pictures. I am a field biologist and it use it for all my photography needs while in the field. The zoom is very powerful, and it has all kinds of fun setting to play with. Activating the GPS option is a bit awkward, and it wears down your battery fast. But under the right situations it could be a useful tool.

I am just a mom who wants cri!sp, clear pictures of my kids. This camera gets gorgeous outdoor shots. Sometimes the indoor shots don't come out well, I'm not sure why. And there is a pause between clicking the button and the actual picture snapping, which sometimes means missing that perfect shot-bc little boys don't sit still!
