I have had this camera since 2007.
It has recorded pictures from all over the world.
2 years ago I bought a Sony Cybershot DSC HX200V
for a London/Paris trip. However, the Sony is too heavy
for me to carry walking ,riding busses, trains & subways.
The larger Sony stayed home & this small reliable camera
of 7 years continues to be my camera of choice for travel.
It has a viewfinder & lcd screen. It uses batteries. It takes
really nice pictures that I download to Windows &
fix as needed. My back thanks me.

I've owned cameras that were far more expensive, but this is the only camera I've owned that I ever fell in love with. It fits easily in a pocket, but yet it has features that will satisfy a sophisticated photographer.
And people love the photos I've taken with this camera. As far as I can tell, Canon has not produced a better camera since this one - I've owned two Canon cameras since, but this one is by far the best.
This camera has a viewfinder, which I love. I wonder why so many cameras don't have them any more. You can't see LCD displays in bright sunlight.

Great camera although the shutter lag is SLOW! ..otherwise, good point and shoot. I gave it only one star though, not because of the camera, but because of the PRICE!
People, I bought this same camera brand new in 2007 on Ebay when it was a current model. It cost me around $270, which was in the typical price range for this same camera at that time. (around $300)
So tell me how come it is now worth TWICE the price? Why I should pay that much more for a model that is outdated and no longer supported by Canon? Seems like a huge and unjustified mark up to me.So my advice is - buy one of the current models of Canon or comparable cameras with updated features and save yourself from being ripped off, until or unless this offering drops into the under $300 range... This camera - although a great little point and shoot - ought to be CHEAPER because it is an outdated model, not more expensive. !!!!!

I love this camera. It's a little large for my purse, but has extra features that make up it. I always carry it in my overnight bag.

I purchased this camera in 2008 and I'm still using it in 2013. It just works. I produces good images. It has held up to years of bouncing about in my purse. The viewfinder is low quality, but it's usable in bright sunlight. For the reasonable price I got it for ($199.95) I think it has been fantastic. I keep thinking about replacing it, but it works so well I can't justify replacing it. I like the fact that it takes AA batteries. It's so nice to be tourist and know that if your battery gets low, you can get more at the nearest drugstore. Yeah ... the flash is slow to recycle ... good NiMH batteries will help you with that.
I suspect nobody is buying this camera anymore, so this review is a bit pointless. I suppose this is just my own "thank you" to a camera model that has served me so well.

Thisz is now an outdated camera but was excellent in its time, by todays standards it will be to slow to go from one shot to the next plus tha small plastics were unstable and broke.- the supplier was fine.

My husband wanted a camera to use for his trail cam, so he could look at the pictures on the TV. This is the same camera I have, which came with an AV cord to enable this. We each have the same camera now, and just one AV cord. Perfect.

Bought this to bring on a recent safari so I could pack extra battery pack and sd cards for my canon powershot G9. It all fitted perfectly. Also offered good protection to my camera which was chucked about a bit in the land cruisers.

Needed it since my 2005 Canon S 80 does no accept any of the newer cards.It is O.K. Difficult to find in local stores like Best

We had an older digital camera that we passed down to our 9-year old son, but the memory card was going bad. Because it is an older camera, it required the standard 2.0GB memory card. This works perfectly.

I would have definitely gave this 5 stars and maybe a bit unfair of me to give it 4, but I just felt that it could be a little smaller. I am not a photography buff or aficionado but this is a true point and shoot and pics come out unbelievable with no effort.....Love this camera and its ease of use!! You can not go wrong with this camera!!

This is the ideal camera bag for my canon powershot. The small front zipper compartment holds 2 spare batteries and a card.

An excellent case that fits the G9 perfectly and gives plenty of protection. Pocket has space for spare batteries, filters and cards. Only draw back is having to fold the strap carefully to get case to shut. Pity the postage was a bit expensive.

We loved this camera, and would still be using it if the battery case latch (plastic) had not broken. Even with it broken we tried using rubber-bands to hold it closed so we could keep using this camera. It takes great pictures and has great manual controls. After about 3 years of use, it did develop hot spots (pixels that were always white), but I was able to use CHDK (Canon Hacker Development Kit--from online sources) to highlight and remove the bad pixels from the pictures. Need to get another Canon SX150 or 260HS to replace this awesome camera.

This camera case was purchased at the same time as the camera and it was delivered quickly and the size and description was very accurate. Well done Amazon.
