Хорошо
- + Весьма компактен. Достаточно яркие и четкие снимки получаются. Главный плюс - ручные настройки, если наловчиться то фото получаются замечательные. Хорошая стабилизация и оптика. Хороший 6 кратный оптический зум. Элементы питания и карта памяти есть везде и не дорого.

- + Снимает замечательно,многовато шумов на ISO400,но это не заметно
- - Пластиковый корпус,если носить без чехла - сотрётся,особенно при активном использовании.

- + в сравнение с другими фотоаппаратами в данной ценовой категории - мои снимки всегда получаются лучше - уж ничего не скажу на проф.языке, но это моё наблюдение ...

- + Отличная макросьёмка. Хороший оптический зум, достаточно большое разришение фото. Отличные фото крупным планом особенно портреты, хоршая насыщеность фото и цветопередача. Достойное видео. Не смотря на размеры и достаточно неплохую оптику очень экономичный.

- + 1.Неплохо снимет видео.
3.Стабилизация работает нормально.
3.Достаточно экономичен ~500 снимков без подзарядки (без вспышки, естественно) - - 1. Очень шумная матрица, шум заметен даже при ISO=80-100
Успел сделать около 6000 снимков, пока окончательно убедился, что камера не стоит своих денег. Удовлетворительные снимки получаются только при ярком свете на улице. Считаю что эта модель не золотая середина и лучше брать более дорогую G9, а при дефиците денег самые дешевые Canon с матрицей 1/2,5

- + В автомате - вполне даже прилично. В ручных настройках можно наловчиться, не придирешся. С внешней вспышкой ночные снимки не хуже. Видео для такого класса очень порадовало, как и зум, и стабилизация, меню и особенно энергоэкономичность...

Много режимов, которыми рекомендую пользоваться для достижения более лучшего качества. - - Довольно большой размер.

Протекает. При заявленных 10 метрах, потек на глубине 5 см. Положил на 20 минут в ковшик с водой. И все фотик отказался работать.А в целом не плохой

Купили мы данный аппарат в мае 2013. Возможность использовать под водой выдалась только в августе во время отпуска, поэтому и отзыв пишу по прошествии времени.В общем, хорошая камера. Конечно, фотографии по сравнению со снимками нашей "зеркалкой" хуже, но на то это и "мыльница". Это небольшой недостаток. Зато видео FullHD-качество замечательное! Единственный минус при работе зума, его звук слышен на записи при воспроизведении. Но если поверх видео накладывать музыку, то всё хорошо.Водонепроницаемость на высоте!!! Снимали и в бассейне, и в аквапарке, и в море. Никаких протечек!На противоударность не проверяли.Цветопрередача хорошая, стабилизация тоже. Подводное видео яркое, цвета насыщенные.Брали камеру именно для подводного видео, справляется на 100%. Но также хорошо снимает не только под водой. А уж качество съёмки природы при естественном дневном освещении просто замечательное.В режиме фото аккумулятора хватает надолго, при съёмке видео меньше. Заряжается за пару часов. Используем в нём карточку Transcend на 32GB, даже видео на неё умещается очень много.

this was a GREAT camera! i say great because i had a problem with the battery door not closing after a while and contacted 'canon' who told me about their 'loyalty program'. Do NOT under any circumstances use this program. they said they'd fix my camera for $89-, $100 total with s/h. the tech on the phone was Awesome and very knowledgeable.. they said id have it back in 2wks tops. 3 wks later and still no camera, i called to see if there was a problem or it was lost in the mail. they told me they weren't going to fix my camera and i could pick another from their site or use a credit. woulda been nice of them to Contact me to tell me this, bc i would have told them to send the camera back to me. i was Not pleased. i explained i didnt have time to research another perfect camera that fit All of my needs as this one did (and took me 2 months to research) so i asked them to find one compatible, equal and send me that. They sent me a crappy $150 camera that didnt have any of the features my original camera did and was Heavy, tho it did look alot like my old camera..it also was broken. when i called and had them replace it they also sent me a bill saying i had to pay another $100 for it. So i called once Again, they sent me out another of the same cheap camera, which was when i realized it was Not equal in features or cost to my original camera. I sent them letters, calls and feedback.. all to no avail. i ended up giving the crappy camera to goodwill. all i can say is Do Not use the Canon Loyalty program. but this was an Amazing camera that took incredible Macro shots.

Fantastic pictures and I have read that this camera has developed an almost cult-like following which have driven the prices up for this gem of a camera. But it is well worth it as I don't think cameras nowadays are made with the same quality as this model was. Bought mine years ago and is still working the same as it did when it was new.

Perhaps it is me as a techno-phobe - quite possibly - but it seemed this $500.00 camera was shipped with a memory card so small it only held 10 photos and I had to replace it. Is that the case? If so, this would have been good to know as an ALERT before I departed for my international travel.

Haven't owned this in 3 or more years. It was a good working camera, but the latch on the batteries
kept coming lose or breaking off. This happened with two Canon's. I'm happier with my smartphone camera now.

Today it is very unusual to find a camera of pocketable shape and size that has an optical viewfinder. The Canon A720IS came out seven years ago when some small cameras still had them. It is fortunate that some are still available in the used-camera market. When the light permits, the 2.5 inch screen is good for framing photos, although it does not have the pixel density and resolving power of the screens in newer cameras. The optical viewfinder is small but it zooms and is a godsend when the light makes use of the screen impossible. The camera takes good photos so long as one does not wish to blow them up to poster size. Eight MP are not enough for that. The color is amazingly accurate and so is the automatic white balance.

Great camera. I somehow lost my original camera so I bought the same one (used) for a fraction of the cost through Amazon and have zero complaints.

Book was delivered within 10 days of ordering it. It came to me in the condition that the seller described. this camera is good for traveling and not having to have professional quality pictures. The zoom feature is limited. If too far away from the main subject of the picture, it will turn out very small, and may not be a picture worth taking. But, for an everyday camera, it is a good buy.

Agree with the camera webpage reviewer as this camera takes top quality pictures for an 8 meg camera.
Full featured for auto or manual control.
Small enough to fit in front jean pocket (not skinny jeans, real jeans) to take to events.
6x zoom is adequate but many newer cameras have much more power.
Only bad and it's a BIGGIE is the battery door latch breaks. Seems to be a problem on a lot of these cameras. Have to tape it to keep ti close and make contact fro the battery to work. Not good at all as he latch design is too small and thin plastic.
Nice, but there are many newer Canon cameras as small with higher meg, more powerful zoom, and later processors for a good price worth spending money on. I would not buy if price over $30.

I wanted a camera that wouldn't blur kids and dogs in motion. Got a great price on this as "used still in the box." Came very poorly packaged, as a matter of fact the box split open as I walked from post office to car, the camera hit the ground but fortunately wasn't damaged.
I like the zoom function and I like the separate viewfinder which is invaluable on bright sunny days. It is quite light, which surprised me, I expected something more substantial for the price. I find the controls too small to be comfortable, and the icons on the setting wheel are also small, therefore hard to read.
So far I haven't explored any functions aside from the automatic. This is for two reasons, as I said the controls are a bit too small to be easy to use. And the instructions in the booklet are not at all helpful. I'll probably need to find someone who knows how to help me out.
It does take outstanding picture, though.

I don't suppose this is available any more, but it's a great case, and it fits the camera it was designed to fit perfectly, with room for spare batteries and memory cards. It was a gift, given together with a Canon A520 I believe, which is a great camera. Also not available any more.

Best fitting, best protecting case for any camera ever. Quick to use, multiple strap/belt options and room spare card and batteries. Perfect.
