Very disappointed with this camera. I have a Canon EOS 6D and I wanted a backup camera. This camera has great features, but the AF feature is awful. It does not focus very well and for someone that has taken many portrait shots, I'm horrified at the results. About 90% of the shots are not focused where I focused the camera. After having this issue, I went online and there are many issues regarding focusing issues. Canon should be ashamed to release a camera that is this faulty. I will be contacting Canon today!

Replaced my Canon T1i and this is superior in nearly every way. Particularly useful is low light performance and fast focusing speed, not to mention speed for rapid photo sequences. The touchscreen grows on you. Expensive, but worth it if you are upgrading from earlier canon bodies and already have APS-c lenses so don't want to go to full frame.

Brilliant camera. I was originally looking at the 6D, but got recommended this at almost half the price (from the guy in my local camera shop, oops), and found it on here even cheaper! Very pleased with my decision, I've had some cracking pictures already, here's to many more!

Purchased four of these for a high school yearbook program and they work great and the students love their new capabilities. Good investment.

This camera has all the bells and whistle that I could wish for and more my only critisism is the driving instructions that come with it the small paper manual gives all the basics but due the the size and vast amount of information that is trying to be put across meeans that the font size is very small and difficult to read and the spine is not strong enough for the book to last vey long more informative but still does not seem to cover everything particularly well and the int(this is typical Canon) the software version is not much better. The software packages supplied might be very good but finding out how to make the best of it is dreadful certainly not intuative and it would not work on my windows XP although it claimed to and having look at he internet I'm not the only one to find this. This is a shame and lets down whaqt is an exceptional camer especiallyn the hand held night shot mode which so far has been brilliant.

This camera is awesome. It's a great value for your money. One of the best things is it focuses on the fly while you are taking movies, which is generally unprecedented. I could rave about all sorts of cool features it has, but I'll just say I love that the viewing screen is not only fully articulated so it will adjust to the angle you are shooting from, but it is also a touch screen.

Far more eloquent people have articulated reviews than I, so I'll leave it at that.

I have only had it a few weeks, but I've already shot a short film with it, and I have to say I'm in love with this camera. The picture is so clear and it's so easy to focus and pull focus, and the touch screen is so helpful, because I don't have to figure out what dial or button needs to be used to do what in the menus. I haven't used the auto-focus yet, but after all the research I did before buying it, I know it has a great autofocus for filming if you don't want to focus yourself. The flip screen is very useful as well, so I can put the camera on a tripod in a place I can't really fit in to film and I have no problem seeing or working with the camera even though I'm in front of it instead of behind it.

I'm a beginning film student and this was my first major investment in a camera, so even with all the research, I was somewhat nervous of the purchase, but I am not disappointed at all. I couldn't be happier with this camera!

This camera is not user friendly at all. I have tried so hard to figure it out but it is completely useless.

Love it! I've been a videographer for years, but I'm just getting into DSLR video. So far, I'm liking the experience. With the right lenses, the continuous focus in this camera produce great looking video.

Absolutely love this camera. I purchased this as an upgrade to my T3i which I was able to sell in less than a week. Love the pictures and options. The wifi is very nice too so you don't have to carry around a remote, just use your phone. Great work Canon!

I bought this for mainly video work. All I can say is big time hollywood look to my videos with 1/3 of the cost of the big time full cinema cameras. If you are looking for a pro level indie film camera that keeps your budget around $1000....look no further.

Like others, the battery that came with the camera was not usable. It would not take charge after charging overnight. Otherwise, I think I will like the camera. I will have more time to use it this weekend.

The camera is simple to use and the pictures are great.

Best money spent !!! I've owned a few point and shoot cameras and take a lot of shots with my iPhone but this is so much more fun and rewarding. If you're a beginner set it on auto and let the camera make all the adjustments and when you get a little more experienced you can take control of features one at at time until you set all the parameters for the shot. You can't go wrong with this one.

I treated myself to this DSLR recently to try and get back into photography, and so far have been very pleased with it.
The controls are well laid out and generally easy to use, and the camera feels good to hold. The hand grip part is a good size, and the overall weight of the camer feels good.

The camera performs well in a variety of different light and contrast situations. The sensor does an excellent job of focusing and capturing the image.
I have been very pleased with the quality of the pictures.

There are some great features such as the touch screen which makes changing settings very easy. Its a responsive screen and the layout of functions on the screen is good.
The wifi feature is also good making transferring pictures, changing settings or taking pictures whilst remote from the camera a breeze.
The built in flash is obviously not as good as a separate flash, but works well enough and provides excellent fill-in flash and can also be used to trigger external flashes.

The lens I got with my kit was the 18-135mm and this seems a pretty good all rounder and is the one I use the most. Its nice and quite and focuses quickly and the optics seem to be pretty good quality judging from the results.

The only negative I would say is the provided strap is not comfortable, look at other options and you'll be much more comfortable.

After one month of use, I have found the camera to be everything that has been advertised about it. Easy to use and wonderful picture quality.The touch screen window and menu selection is an absolute joy.
A light year leap over my old 60D. Being a crop body camera, it may have its limitations for a pro, but very few for a hobbyist. I considered moving up either 6D or 7D, but then I would have to give up my walk around lens (15-85 mm) and decided to purchase this camera. Zero regrets.

I love this EOS 70D, it's my first time to use such professional camera, simple to use, photos are beautiful. and I love the wireless function, it is pretty easy to copy my favor pic to cell phone and also using my cell phone to control the camera: edit and delete or remote control...etc function.

Coming from a T2i the image quality is excellent (specially in low light). Colors are very bright but of course can be turned down for a more natural look if you desire. Viewfinder AF works extremely quick coupled with either USM or STM lenses and it also works under very dimmed lightning, very impressed. The camera's overall performance is fantastic, shot to shot is very fast even using the built in flash it doesn't hiccup.Now to Dual Pixel AF I have nothing to compare this to, so needless to say i think its the greatest thing since sliced bread. It works as advertised, very quick and precise, specially with STM lenses. With USM it works very well, but you can still see it hunt for focus sometimes. I do not shoot video very often, but i do find Dual Pixel AF very useful when shooting macro because i can get the camera in very tight spaces with no need to look through the viewfinder. I moved up from 60D to 70D. Both are really fine cameras for the price range, but the 70D is a substantial step up from the 60D. If you have a 60D it will serve you well, but when you are ready to move on and do not want to shell out huge bucks for a pro camera, the 70D is an excellent choice.

I carry my DSLR's like most people carry a point and shoot. This camera is holding up well and giving me great shots. I love all the additional light I get in with this one compared to my t4i.

perfect camera. great pictures. controls are a little compicated as I am moving from a 10D which is 10+ years old

This product is amazing. The product is a great camera for everyone. It is not difficult to use at all. It can be used for multiple scenarios. Nature shots, family photos, vacation photos, and many more. This camera has excellent quality. It is a light weight camera not heavy at all. It also makes you feel very professional. It is a DSLR capable of recording video in excellent 19 megapixels. Overall a camera with a lot of quality.

I Really Really like it, The quality of pictures is close to the 5D at halve the price. Viseos and pictures are awesome.. I traded up from a T3I to the 70 D. It takes such good shots its scary, and much easier to use than the 5D, Especially, the WIFI, and the fast shooting, i am a amatuer thats pictures look professional, I totally recomend it to the novice shooter!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For a hobbyist photographer like myself, this camera has been absolutely amazing. Wife and I are discussing buying a second body only so we can both play around with it as we've been fighting over who gets to shoot when we go out. = )
