Super speed
Pros
Simple instalation but when prompting to connect da cable then only connect, before that instal da cd with internet connection must when instaling.
Software conrol panel i like da most, we can scan 1document in document mode, da next one if photo we need not to change settings like epson, just click da photo mode thats it.
All da modes wil be visible in single panel.
Super speed 6to 8 seconds for 1paper.
Cons
Nothing i recognise.
If ADF feature there then somemore better.

Stopped working after 9 months
Updated review after 9 months.
It has stopped working. It does not power up when connected to laptop or any USB power source. I am trying to contact Canon for warranty.

Drivers installed easily on Windows 10. Drivers could not install on Windows 7. Also your computer needs to have disk port run installation CD.
Pro: No need for external power supply. Picture quality is good. Easy to handle and operate. Multiple pages PDF, editing image options are there.
Cons: Could Not install on Windows 7 machine.

Great scanner. Do not connect scanner to pc before install driver
Product working as it should. I was a bit sceptical after reading some of the negative reviews, but bought it anyway and fortunately I recieved a working product.
Followed the advice of one of the reviews here suggesting to first install the drivers from the cd, and only to connect the scanner after the driver pop up says so. Everything went smoothly. Satisfied with my product.

Got faulty product
Received a faulty product. Was not working. Then contacted local Canon service center & got is replaced with a new one, under warranty. The replaced one is working fine as of now. There was an option for replacement from amazon, but didn't opt for that as I was in doubt if the replacement product could have also come faulty.

Many online say Buttons on scanner not working. I to face the same problem.
Scanner is good but issues with buttons. Buttons on scanner does not seem to work. Checked online for solution. Many have reported this problem but was unable to find solution. If any body can help me sind a solution to this and if button are functional later on I may increase rating to 4. Till I find a solution rating is not more than 2.

Fishy deal from Cannon.
It came well packed without any scratch but it failed to work with Windows 7 laptop, Windows 10 laptop and Mac mini. On each machine it gave error "Cannot Communicate with scanner". I miss to check review comments else would not have bought it. Now I am stuck with it as there is no refund option.

Don't Buy this
Hi, this I've not used after bought 15 days, now I've installed quality of scan output is extreme, but every time we need to unplug and connect the cable if we scan after 15-30 min break means, it shows scanner not connected, once unplug and connect it works, it's terrible, i can't return this due to not used 15 days and return period was over.

Waste of time and money
Don't waste your time in this product. Have been loving canon products for years but this is an utter disappointment. Bought the product installed properly, but couldn't connect to the pc even a single time. Showed error unable to communicate with the pc. Tried installing on both win7 aswell as win 10 . Got the product replaced, same issue with the replacement, returned it back, reordered the same issue with the third scanner aswell. No telephonic support from canon,they ask to bring the machine to the service centre.Searched many forums, the problem is universal, but no solution available. Result Lot of time wasted.

Function and quality are as expected. Produces clear scans at lower resolutions. Setup for the scanning app was fairly simple through the Canon website. The single USB cable for data and power is a lost less mess on desk than an extra power cable.

Unable to Scan giving Error Code
After purchasing the scanner worked very fine for 4 months after that when going for scanning it says:-
cannot communicate with scanner for these reasons:
scanner is turned off
usb cable disconnected
please check and try again
scanner driver will be closed
code:2,156,33

DONT BUY
Scan quality is crap, its sluggish. Scan a book or a page from the book and you would know what I am saying. Legitimate photo scan is good. My recommendation on the same budget Epson v39 perfection. I would go for that one

4800 DPI is Super Detailed!
4800 DPI mode is available only in ScanGear mode. You need to type the DPI yourself. The output images are incredibly sharp and very very high resolution. Love it.

Good scanner
I like the scanner. Very easy to use and store, comes with the stand for vertical storage.
My major disappointment was when I found it won't work with smartphones. Other than this issue, this is a good product.

Good scanner without external power - missing copying to USB option
Installation was no issue, just follow the instructions. I followed online installation instructions.
It would be good if the scanner had a USB port to copy the scanned files.
