I'll keep it as brief as I can and also try to address some of the points raised in other reviews:

Sound - is fantastic, I owned a pair of p3s and these have a bigger soundscape (due to the larer drivers I think?) warm and natural with plenty of texture and precision. Acoustic/rock/classical music sound incredible.

Active Isolation - As good as my Wired Bose Quiet Comforts, it does affect the overall sound quality, so use the active isolation only when you need to. The additional environment 'pass-through' settings are very useful. Office - allows you to hear nearby conversations etc. City - You can hear nearby traffic and crowds. Plane - knocks out everything. One additional note is that I found the Pxs have a natural amount of passthrough when making calls - minimising the YEAH, I'M JUST ON MY WAY NOW...WHAT? YEAH IT WAS CRAP scenarios.

Build - Oozes quality, leather ear pads will soften nicely a little after wearing for a few days. Hinges and headband look and feel very well made. Would've liked a hard case included, but the soft one looks pretty classy.

Fit/ weight - Some reviewers complained about the the fit after a few hours, I had a little ache on the top of my head (I have a little ridge at the top of my skull), I just loosened the fit and not had the problem since. Would've like the headband cushion to be a little bigger and softer - I have a pair of beyerdynamic DT770 Pros which have a better headband imho.

Ease of Use - iOS app installed and updated the firmwear on my Pxs in about 15 minutes (no fuss at all). Controls responded as expected, nice and responsive. Auto power off and mute etc is handy - you might need to choose one of the 3 settings for it to behave predictably on your head - no biggy.

Ich hab den Kopfhörer jetzt seit geraumer Zeit im Einsatz und ja dieser Kopfhörer muss auf alle Fälle eingespielt werden, steht ja auch in der Beschreibung. Die Soundqualität verbessert sich nach einiger Zeit doch sehr stark. Es hängt aber auch vom richtigen Zuspielgerät sehr viel ab, wie ich in diversen Tests feststellen konnte. Hier sind die Unterschiede in der Soundqualität mit unter eklatant, später mehr dazu.
Den Kopfhörer hab ich mir damals gegönnt als ich auf das neue Iphone 8 Plus umgestiegen bin, da dieser Kopfhörer unter anderem auch die AAC Übertragung beherrscht, die die Apple Iphones liefern.
Am Anfang war ich Enttäuscht über die Klangqualität des Kopfhörers, aber wie gesagt man muss ihm die Zeit zum Einspielen geben. Außerdem hab ich am Iphone die Klangverbesserungen ausgeschalten, was für mein Gehör auch nochmals eine Qualitätssteigerung brachte.
Ich war immer InEar Ohrhörer von Ultimate Ears gewohnt und dementsprechend Sound verwöhnt war ich natürlich. Nach der Einspielzeit der Kopfhörer empfand ich den Klangumfang jedoch als besser nur der Bass war nicht so ausgeprägt wie bei den Ultimate Ears, was aber auch klar sein sollte durch den Umstand InEar und OverEar.
Nachdem der Klang für mich nun passte konnte ich mich der Rauschunterdrückung und den Sensoren widmen und die Enttäuschung war vorerst wieder groß. Bei der Rauschunterdrückung verlor der Sound merklich an Dynamik und wurde sehr dumpf. Die Sensoren funktionierten überhaupt nicht wie angegeben und speziell im Zug, bei der Durchfahrt von Tunnels, fielen sie immer wieder aus und man musste den Kopfhörer neu mit dem Handy verbinden. Das wurde aber in der letzten Zeit durch diverse Firmwareupdates behoben und auch die Soundqualität bei der Rauschunterdrückung hat sich hörbar verbessert. Alles in allem war ich also zufrieden, so dachte ich zumindest und doch war ich neugierig wie sich den AptX und AptX HD im Vergleich zu AAC anhören und hab mal herumgespielt :-)
Meine Gattin hat das Samsung Galaxy S8 das den AptX Standard beherrscht und so hab ich den Kopfhörer mit diesem Handy mal ausprobiert, immer mit ITunes Music sei hinzugefügt.
Im Vergleich zum Iphone 8 Plus merkte ich beim Samsung Galaxy S8 keine merkbaren Qualitätsunterschiede, einzig die Soundeinstellungen am Samsung sind besser und Feiner auf den Nutzer einstellbar und somit ergeben sich kleine, wenn auch feine, Qualitätsunterschiede die aber, meiner Meinung nach, nicht gravierend ins Gewicht fallen. Hier kann man es sich noch aussuchen ob man eher ein Iphone Verliebter, so wie ich, oder eben ein Android Anhänger ist. AAC im Vergleich zu AptX ist für mich das Gleiche an Qualität. Nur reichte das noch nicht da ich AptX HD noch nicht testen konnte, so hab ich mir ein Huawei P20 Pro besorgt das den AptX HD Standard beherrscht und das war für mich die Offenbarung in Sachen Soundqualtität schlechthin. Das Huawei P20 Pro bietet keinerlei Einstellungsmöglichkeiten bezüglich Sound, aber die hörbare Qualität die dieses Handy auf die Kopfhörer gezaubert hat war einfach nur Beeindruckend, wie gesagt immer noch mit iTunes Music und 256 kBit wie bei den anderen Handys.
Ich war regelrecht Sprachlos über dieses Plus an Qualität und bin es immer noch. Meine Gattin meint es wäre jetzt bald an der Zeit mein Rundumlächeln beim Musikhören zu beenden, aber es geht einfach nicht weg :-)
Der Qualitätsunterschied im Vergleich zum iPhone mit AAC und dem Samsung mit AptX ist einfach nur WOW. Ja ich weiß, das ist Subjektiv und jeder hört anders. Stimmt schon, für mich ist aber das die beste Kombination. Für andere mag die Tatsache dass man beim Huawei bezüglich Sound nicht wirklich was verstellen kann abschrecken sein, war es für mich auch am Anfang - hat sich aber nicht bestätigt - und somit werden diejenigen mit einem iPhone oder den weit besseren Einstellmöglichkeiten eines Samsung Handys besser bedient sein. Ich selber hatte seit 2007 nur iPhones im Einsatz und mit kabelgebundenen Kopfhörern sind sie immer noch eine Wucht, vor allem mit Ultimate Ears. Beim Einsatz von Bluetooth Kopfhörern, wie dem B&W PX, gibt es aber bessere Zuspieler wie ich feststellen musste.
Somit war der Kauf für mich ein voller Erfolg und der Kopfhörer verdient, nach den Firmwareupdates, nun die vollen 5 Sterne. Aber wie gesagt hängt die Soundqualität auch sehr stark vom verwendeten Handy ab.

Um den Lesenden hier ein wenig Zeit zu sparen, möchte ich kurz auf das eingehen, was der Kopfhörer nicht kann:
-Bei ANC On ein extrem (für mich) schlechter Klang (Direktvergleich Sony 1000 und Panasonic 605 gleichzeitig an Cowon R), Rauschen, angehobener Bass - ein völlig verhangenes Klangbild...., selbst Bowers bestätigt das in der Bedienungsanleitung und empfiehlt den Betrieb ohne ANC für besten Klang...
-ANC ist nicht ausgereift, bei Tests an Bosch Akkusauger, Kaffeemaschine und im
Strassenverkehr fand bei allen Modi kaum eine ausreichende Unterdrückung statt..., da sind Bose, Sony und Panasonic deutlich weiter, was ja auch nicht verwundert...
-der Tragekomfort (Anpressdruck) ist für Brillenträger ab mittelgroßem Kopf zu Anfang m.E. absolut unerträglich, durch einen Tipp eines Bekannten habe ich das Problem aber gelöst und den 400 Euro Hörer eine Nacht lang einer
großen Salatschüssel aufgesetzt - es funktioniert, die U-Metallschiene im Kopfbügel wird flexibler
und jetzt passt alles (keine Angst, es kann nichts kaputt gehen)...
-die Abschaltautomatik ist unsinnig, habe diese über die App ausgeschaltet, sonst kann der Kopfhörer auch kaum eingespielt werden ( über der Salatschüssel )
So, alles schlecht und doch 4 Sterne ??????? Warum das ?
-die Dinger sehen gut aus, völlig anders und m.E. besser als der Einheitslook... selbst meine geliebten H7
gefallen mir jetzt nicht mehr so gut... Die Materialanmutung und Anfassqualität sind einfach nur super...
-Nach Salatschüssel sitzt der PX jetzt gut und die Polster sind auch mit der Zeit weicher geworden
-Die Bedientasten (zum Glück kein Touchpad) sind gut zu fühlen und zu unterscheiden, guter Druckpunkt und stabil
Zum Wichtigsten:
Der PX hat den besten Klang aller mir bekannten BT-Kopfhörer im BT-Betrieb. Zum Testen besitze ich folgende Gegner: Bose QC 35 II, Sennheiser Momentum 2.0, Beoplay H4 und H7, Sony MDR 1000
Als Zuspieler : Fiio M9 AptxHD (der Knaller !!!!!), COWON R, Shanling M2, Pioneer XDP 100, Lotoo PAW (Cowon R AptX zum Vergleichen doppelt)
Der PX hat den besten Hochtonbereich von allen, dicht gefolgt vom H7, eine geniale Balance zwischen unaufgeregt und trotzdem voller Informationen.
Der Mitten- und Stimmbereich ist genial, keine Verfärbungen, absolute Durchhörbarkeit auch bei extrem komplexen Arrangements, die Bühne schön breit und alles niemals aufdringlich.
Der Bass ist extrem sauber und absolut gut hörbar, aber eben auch nicht leicht angehoben... Wo wenig ist, kommt auch wenig raus.... Der Sennheiser ist hier auf Augenhöhe, für Freunde der leicht wärmeren und etwas erdigeren Art ist der M2 dem PX durchaus überlegen....
Für mich ist der Klang traumhaft, ein direkter Umstieg vom Bose oder H4 mit gleicher Musik ist gefährlich, dann suggeriert die Klangerinnerung eine fade / dünne Klangkulisse, da die beiden anderen durch die Badewannenabstimmung viel fülliger und fetter klingen. Für Bewegung und Sport ziehe ich die beiden sogar vor, für intensives Hören und Eintauchen ist der PX erste Wahl.
Für die Basskritiker empfehle ich mal Slayers South of Heaven Intro erster Song, es sind mehrere Gitarren !! und die BD wandert voller Wucht durch den Raum, echt knackig..... da gibt es nichts mehr zu meckern. Auch empfehlenswert ist Moonspell Extinct, top produziert, der Bass per PX über das ganze Album voller Kraft, Ähnliches gilt für Sentenced Cold White Light.

Excellent sound quality. Very pleased.

I really wanted to like it...

I like many others was undecided for weeks. Fortunately Amazon have a good returns policy.

These sound crystal clear - every detail is sharp. The likes of which I have never heard. I was truly stunned.

But, and it is a big but, they were uncomfortable - for me. I developed a hot spot on my head where they rested. The ear padding is not as soft as the Seinheisser Momentum (which are not nearly worth the price IMO) but it was still comfortable after a few hours. I think the padding was adequate around the ears. Due to their slightly heavier weight, they do seem to move more than other headsets when you move your head quickly. My other problem was the lack of foldability - a problem for some and not all. But I want to use these regularly and be happy sliding them in a bag pocket or even a jacket pocket - and these did not allow for it.

Having now purchased the QC 35 II, I can say that the Bose sound good but not as good. I still have even a little discomfort with these (so take my above comment on discomfort in light of this, it might just be my head shape). The ANC is great with the Bose but was equivocal with the PX - but as others note, the sound suffers with the increased ANC settings you use. The intuitive features of the PX were great and I miss them. So the only two reasons I chose the QC 35 II over the PX was the comfort level and the slight reduced size. If these are not an issue to you then I say PX all the way.

Los cascos suenan muy bien, están bastante equilibrados los uso principalmente con AOR y Rock Melódico. La cancelación de ruido es correcta, puedes ir con ellos en el tren sin necesidad de llevar el volumen a toda pastilla.

Les he encontrado dos pegas bastante preocupantes:
El sensor de colocación funciona como quiere y cuando quiere. A veces giras las cabeza y se pausa la música, otras te quitas los cascos y siguen sonando..... Si esta es una característica decisiva, no optes por ellos.
El acabado de la diadema es MUY MALO, tras 5 meses de uso el "nailon balístico" no lo ha sido tanto y se ha empezado a despegar. Estamos hablando de unos cascos de 400€

En resumen. Calidad de sonido Perfecta, calidad de construcción Mejorable

Tras un cambio del producto por los defectos descritos anteriormente hoy han muerto del todo, me explico. Volviendo del trabajo escucho un ruido raro en los auriculares y de repente dejaron de emparejar con los dispositivos. Al principio no encendían, después de hacer varios reset y reinicializarlos desde la aplicación. Cuando por fin consigo emparejarlos de nuevo el botón de apagado y emparejado no responde, tampoco el de subir volumen

Ya tuve malas experiencias con unos BW Zeppelin para el ipod, parece que el mantra se repite con esta marca. Por el mismo precio están disponibles los Sony WH-1000XM3S esperemos que salgan mejor

Incredible pair of headphones! I tried the Sony WH-1000XM3 and Bose QC 35 within this price. I was looking for the best sound quality and was not worried too much about noise cancellation. I had initially avoided the B&W PX due to reviews regarding them being uncomfortable.

I found the sound quality of the sony really didn't warrant the price and was disappointed.

I found the Bose had better sound quality that the sony.

Both of the above I found comfortable although made my ears very warm. Both are quite plasticky.

I thought I would try the B&W PX for myself and I'm so glad I did. The sound quality is incredible and I found them far more superior to the other 2. The noise cancellation is not quite as good as the Bose and Sony but I was not bothered by this. Due to the ear pads being leather rather than pleather, I find my ears don't get as warm. The build quality is considerably better than the other 2.

Was disappointed that they didn't come with a hard case but you can now purchase a B&W PX case from B&W directly.

I can see why people have struggled with the B&W comfort as I do find a slight bit of pressure at the top of my head but not much. I would recommend trying a pair of these on yourself to establish whether or not they are comfortable for you.

If they are comfortable, you will not be disappointed with your purchase.

I write this review after researching and testing a variety of wireless headphones that were available to me as of August 2019. For a quick TLDR I say that: these headphones are excellent and that I recommend them to those who are looking for high fidelity wireless headphones that value sound quality above all else. I will also say that I cannot recommend these headphones for anyone who is seeks high quality noise cancellation.

BUILD:
Of the headphones that I tested, these headphones felt the best built and had a premium quality that justifies its price. The build is primarily metal, with strong plastics that are covered in a 'ballistic nylon' material. This does mean that the headphones are heavier than other sets such as the Bose QC35, NCH-700 and Sony WH1000XM3 (all of which I have tested). The most comparable in build quality would be the Master and Dynamic sets (the MW50/65), which use leather and metal as their main materials. In essence, these are well built and are not prone to cracking or creaking as is the case with other (plasticky) competitors. This was particularly disturbing on the Sony WH1000XM3 which utilized a very low quality plastic that was prone to creak and squeak! Consequently, the PX will likely be more durable and can withstand more 'abuse' than competitors. Overall 5/5 for build and durability on the B&W PX.

Comfort
This is a particularly polarizing issue that I encountered when testing these at my local HiFi dealer (with similar sentiments shared in online reviews/forums). There are two factors at play with the B&W when it comes to comfort: weight and pressure. As a consequence of avoiding a plastic build, the headphones are necessarily heavier than its competitors. This has led to some issues with users who develop pain at the top of their heads from the weight of the set resting on their head. The second issue is the clamping pressure which is admittedly the high when compared to the aforementioned competitor products. This has led some to also develop pain around the ears, with some mentioning headaches. This pressure is not aided by the fact that the earcups themselves are less of a pillow design, and more of a rim/cup design which results in less surface area contacting the area around the ear. Therefore, when you add weight, higher clamping pressure and unconventional cup design it is possible to experience some pain. TO BE CLEAR HOWEVER, I have experienced none of this pain that has been mentioned by others. I have worn this set for a 4 hour listening session and did not experience any discomfort. Evidently, comfort is going to be a VERY subjective matter when it comes to this set and I advise you to try them on before buying if possible. As I said, I did not experience any pain or discomfort, but they do exhibit an overall different 'feel' when being worn, when compared to other headphone sets. Nevertheless, I found them to be comfortable and did not feel that the SONY WH1000XM3 (though much lighter) was any more comfortable. It is because of this negligible difference in comfort that I find the Sony build quality to be inexcusable. Therefore, 5/5 for comfort.

Comfort II (Fitment and Seal)
This is an appendix to comfort: these headphones are highly dependent on maintaining a seal around your ears to sound the best. Since everyone has different head shapes, it is possible that they may seal well with one person and not another. Even though I did not personally have this problem, I still found that over time, the cups would soften and mold to the shape of your head/ear which would maintain a good seal even if you shake your head (which was a minor problem when they were new).

Noise Cancelling
As noted in the title of this review and the TLDR, I chose these headphones for their sound quality and not for their noise cancelling. I was not in the market for a pair of noise cancelling headphones, but instead, for a pair of simple wireless headphones that sounded good. As many know, noise cancelling technology necessarily degrades sound quality and it was for this reason that I was not interested in noise cancelling to begin with. In any case, these headphones do feature noise cancelling of three varieties: office, city and airplane. These are three modes which increase in strength as listed. Overall, I find none of these settings to be particularly effective or convincing. They do not work that well and cannot truly compare to the Bose and Sony varieties. I found the noise cancelling of the Sennheiser M2 to be more effective, even in spite of its age. I also found that the noise cancelling (when on the higher/highest setting) seriously degrades sound quality and is something I would only use in really desperate scenarios. For reference, I find the Bose noise cancelling to be quite effective but also quite strong which gives the 'cabin pressure' feeling. In my opinion, the Sony has the best balance for noise cancelling (even so, Bose does better with some frequencies and worse with others). Quite frankly, I don't think the PX was ever designed to be a NC headphone. 2/5.

UPDATE: After using this headset in vehicular settings, the noise cancelling is not as bad as I previously thought. There are significant differences between the three modes. While airplane mode does degrades the quality, it does well to drown any engine noise. However, the office setting is surprisingly good at silencing the droning sounds of cars and trains and does not degrade the quality as much. I also realize that in some scenarios, it's better to have ANC with worse sound quality rather than no ANC with an engine droning in the background. Still in ordinary ambient settings (such as a coffee shop) the set still struggles to silence voices and 'random/unpredictable' sounds. I therefore raise the rating of noise cancelling from 2/5 to 3/5 stars.

Sound Quality
Here we arrive at the deciding factor for my 5-star review and the factor that mattered to ME the most. Sound quality is indeed very subjective and there are many variables that are at play when it comes to determining what headphone has 'better' sound. There are, however, some objective determinants when it comes to wireless headphones in particular; namely, bluetooth codecs. Without writing a wikipedia entry, the QC35 stream using the lowest quality and necessary codec for bluetooth streaming, which is SBC. This is generally a worse sounding codec that lacks clarity and detail (and the difference is noticeable). The Sennheiser M2 utilizes codecs up to aptX, which is a step above and is a good and prevalent codec that is used in many premium audio headsets. The B&W utilizes codecs up to aptX HD which is yet another step above regular aptX. The Sony utilizes codecs up to aptX, but offers LDAC which is a proprietary SONY codec that offers higher bit-rate streaming which can offer the best detail.

What does all this mean?
Well, in essence it means that the QC35 is not a relevant contender in comparison to the PX. It also means that the Sony technically has the ability to render more detail than the PX. it also means that the Sennheiser fits between the QC35 and the PX, but not up to the heights of the SONY.

All this aside, whether or not you can really hear the difference between LDAC, aptX and aptX HD is hotly contested and it depends on whether you know what to look for and listen to. When it comes to aptX HD and LDAC, I could not discern a difference, despite listening very critically. (The differences could be discerned when comparing LDAC/aptX HD to SBC and aptX - they rendered less detail). In conclusion, from a spec standpoint, the relevant comparison of sound quality is between the Sony WH1000XM3 and the PX.

To put it plainly, the Sony headphone has a consumer sound, while the B&W has a more neutral, balanced (professional) sound. Where the Sony emphasizes bass and treble (producing the common V-pattern), the B&W maintains a more restrained base and treble response. That is not to say that the PX lacks base and treble. What it means, is that the PX presents the music in the way it was recorded. Bass is given where bass is written/played/recorded (and the same for treble). On the other hand, the SONY tends to juice up the bass response to the point that it bleeds into the mids when gives a more muddy sound. This is a particularly big problem if you listen to Jazz, where the stringed basses totally overpower everything else when played through the Sony. It is true that the sony can be EQ'd via the app, but any alteration immediately sets the codec back from LDAC to SBC! This is terrible! Thus, the PX win for overall balance and presentation of sound.

When it comes to soundstage/imaging, the PX also win out over the competition. The sound on the PX is more open and the music will sound as though it's coming from outside of you/around you rather than from in your head. Some people say this gives a tunnel effect or a tube effect, but this is likely because they are accustom to hearing headphones that have narrow images/soundstages which give the music a more upfront and inside-the-head effect. Anyway, when listening to acoustic music (classical, jazz) the PX truly shine. Instruments have good separation and space. It is clear where each instrument and sound is placed in 3D space. This is something that cannot be found in the Sony (though the Sony does this the best out of all other noise cancelling sets).

Aside from frequency response and imaging, I find the PX also have a crisper sound that (while sometimes rolled off) is spacious and gives the perception of higher fidelity sound than the Sony. They are much deeper and less upfront. You can hear distinct layering of sounds that does not occur with the sony.

As an aside, I will add that there is a burn-in that should be considered with the PX. When buying the PX new, they will need to be used for at least 30 hours of playback before they begin to 'open up'. It sounds ridiculous for headphones, but the truth is that they lose their boxy/tube quality once they are used more and more. The bass becomes more prominent and the sound generally becomes deeper and richer. This is something that the Sony's had out of the box, but something that the PX will have to develop over the course of listening. It is the case that my set sounds fairly different after listening for a week, than it did when I first bought them. For this reason, you should give it time if you don't like the initial sound. If you have any B&W speakers or are familiar with the B&W House Sound, then you will like these headphones very much. It is a warm sound that is refined and acoustically accurate.

(While I mainly listen to Jazz and Classical I also listen to rock and other mainstream genres. I found that the PX are particularly good at reproducing natural sounds from instruments in the genres of classical, jazz and rock. Each of these genres sounded demonstrably better on the PX than they did on the Sony. When it comes to Pop and Hip-hop, they are similar to the sony, and the difference is not really discernible. However, the increased bass of the sony may be desirable to some.)

Overall, the PX win out for their exceptional sound quality for a wireless set of headphones. The detail reproduction, soundstage, frequency response coupled with the build makes the PX the best sounding wireless headphone on the market (to my ears at least). These strike the balance between audiophile/critical listening and causal listening headphones perfectly. Highly Recommended!

Ich bin total begeistert! Toller Sound seit der ersten Minute. Wenn sich das ganze mit dem einspielen der Kopfhörern noch steigert.. Woooooo :D

Nach dem Auspacken:
Nach dem ersten koppeln (Akku bei 64%) zu meinem iPhone und ersten Hörproben lud ich die B&W App für die Kopfhörer hinunter und könnte direkt eine neue Firmware auf die Hörer laden. Diese Prozedur dauerte einige Zeit.

Koppel mit anderen Geräten:
Das koppeln verlief nach dem auspacken ohne Problem und sehr schnell zu einem iPhone, iPad, zwei Samsung Smartphones, Apple TV, Windows 10 PC und einem MacBook.

Wie sitzt der Hörer?:
Perfekt! Ich empfinde ihn nicht als schwer, es drückt nirgends und er rutscht auch nicht. Es fühlt sich richtig toll an. Die Ohren liegen perfekt in den Ohrenmuscheln, nicht zu klein, nicht zu groß aber es besteht noch Luft ;)

Update/Fazit 20.05.2018:
Jetzt durfte ich bereits leicht über 100 Stunden Sound über diese sagenhafte Kopfhörer genießen.

Wie schon zuvor beschrieben habe ich sie an unterschiedlichen Geräten getestet. Es gab nie Einbrüche während des Hörens oder Kopplungsprobleme. Richtig toll :D

Akku:
Der hielt weit über die angegebenen Stunden bei voller Ladung. Ich kam auf sehr gute 30h+.
Auch das Hören bei 0% Akku Kapazität war bis zu 10-15min noch möglich!!!

Tragekomfort:
Meine längste Zeit (war eine Art Härte Test ;) ) trug ich die Hörer über 4h nonstop! Sie drückten nirgends, lagen perfekt an. Ein Traum!

Sound:
Der Ton ist sagenhaft. Dezenter aber kraftvoller Bass, tolle Höhen und Mitteltöne. Es ist nie übertrieben oder zu wenig. Ein Hochgenuss für die Ohren!!

Update2 24.05.2018:
Bowers & Wilkins liefert über ihre App (Smartphones only) ein paar Einstellmöglichkeiten und Firmware Updates für die Hörer. Letzteres erfolgt derzeit alle paar Wochen. Das ist echt toll.. mal schauen ob es noch sehenswerte Verbesserungen oder gar besondere Einstellungen gibt :D

Bis jetzt könnt ihr einen Umgebungsfilter nutzen der sehr gut Funktioniert (Auswahl in drei Kategorien: Büro, Stadt und Flug). Die beste Soundqualität erhaltet ihr jedoch wenn ihr diese Filter nicht nutzt! Auch ohne App lassen sich diese im übrigen auch über die Hörer selber aktivieren und durchschalten.

Nach dem Lesen mehrerer Vergleiche habe ich mich für den PX entschieden, da er meinen Anwendungsfall erfüllt (Paaren mehrerer Geräte, anpassbares ANC, gute Verarbeitung). Hier die Eindrücke nach 3 Wochen mit täglichem, intensivem Gebrauch.

Verpackung:

Sehr gut. Der Kopfhörer kommt in einem schlichten weißen Karton, in den er mich sicher erreicht hat.

Verarbeitung:

Gut. Der Brite überzeugt durch sein schlichtes Auftreten, hochwertige Materialien und eine fast durchgängig hervorragende Verarbeitungsqualität. Details wie die Kabelführung und stufenlose Verstellung sind sehr elegant gelöst. Selbst beim Verformen des Bügels traten keine Probleme auf. Das Laden durch USB-C ist hervorragend und zukunftssicher. Leider wackelt die USB Buchse etwas, was den sonst guten Gesamteindruck trübt. Sollte das schlechter werden, geht er zurück.

Komfort:

Ausreichend. Aus der Packung ist bei meinem relativ großen Kopf der Anpressdruck an den Wangen hoch und fast schmerzhaft. Die Polsterung des Bügels ist zu dünn und unpassend. Die Ohrpolster könnten etwas dicker sein. Die Verstellung des Kopfhörers verändert in nur in der "Höhe". Für breite Köpfe ist er nicht brauchbar. Durch ein paar Bücher und mehrere Tage wurde der Bügel etwas geweitet und die Polster eingebrochen. Durch weiteres Anpassen des Bügels ist der Komfort jetzt auch nach mehreren Stunden gut, selbst für Brillenträger. Es gibt noch kleine Druckpunkte, die aber in Ordnung gehen. Die Schwenkbarkeit der Ohrpolster ist gut, aber nicht perfekt. Da sie sich nicht komplett zum Körper drehen lassen, ist das Tragen um den Hals etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig.

Das muss aus der Packung DEUTLICH besser gehen. Bose und Sony schaffen es auch. Es sieht aus, als wäre hier die Optik wichtiger als die Funktion gewesen.

Klang:

Sehr gut. Nur die aktuelle Firmware (v. 1.117) wurde getestet. Der Klang ist sehr ausgeglichen und warm, nichts wird überzeichnet. Räumlichkeit liegt dem PX sehr gut. Bei Details wie den einzelnen Teilen des Schlagzeugs oder das Zupfen von Gittareseiten brilliert der PX, Singstimmen sind bei meiner Musik (Jazz, Pop, Rock, Klassik, Electro) auch authentisch.

Dank der Unterstützung von Aptx HD sind keine Kompressionsartefakte zu hören. Der PX kann im Klang mit mehreren meiner kabelgebundenen Favoriten (K601, MDR-7506, DT990 Pro) mithalten. Eine hohe Qualität der Audiodateien ist sinnvoll, zwischen FLACs und MP3s treten klar die Mängel schlechter Bitraten in den Fokus. Die schlechtere Qualität mancher meiner Electrotracks hört man sofort.

Der Brite kann sehr laut werden, maximale Lautstärke bei mir ist 50%. Die Musik dringt laut Reviews nach außen, bei meinen Pegeln gab es da aber keine Kommentare. Zwischen aktiviertem und deaktiviertem ANC gibt es Unterschiede (je nach ANC Intensität), aber so extrem wie es in der ersten Firmware laut der Testberichte war, ist es meiner Meinung nach nicht mehr. Gut, das B+W hier aktiv verbessert.

ANC:

Gut. Während der Druck auf den Ohren anfangs sehr merkwürdig und gewöhnungsbedürftig war, hat das Gefühl inzwischen meistens sehr abgenommen oder ist sogar ganz verschwunden. Während das System im Büro funktioniert (Geräusche werden reduziert, Stimmen nicht), ist es nicht so wie in der App beschrieben. Sowohl nahe als auch entfernte (>6 Meter) Gespräche werden durchgeschleift und es muss je nach Situation in der App nachjustiert werden. In der Stadt funktioniert die Isolation genauso gut wie meine High End In Ear Monitore (IEM) mit Otoplasten, manchmal sogar besser. Je nach Level verschwinden Stimmen komplett, Betriebsgeräusche und Autos bleiben etwas vorhanden. Der Flugmodus konnte noch nicht getestet werden.

Verschiedene Geräusche machen Probleme. Erschütterungen und der Wind durchs offene Fenster in der S-Bahn produzieren etwas unangenehme Effekte. Ich werde deswegen für die Stadt weiter meine IEMs nehmen, diese sind hier vorhersehbarer. Zudem ist der Komfort des PX einfach nicht hoch genug, um den ganzen Tag getragen zu werden.

Funktion:

Ausreichend. Das Bluetooth ist etwas zickig. Reichweite macht keine Probleme, ca. 10 Meter sind mit meinen Zuspielern (Galaxy S8+, Hiby R3, DECT Telefon) in Ordnung. Paarung ist sehr einfach und die Option, mehrere gepaarte Geräte abzuspeichern, zeitgemäß. Wer zwei Geräte (Für Telefon und Musik) gleichzeitig paart, darf beim Abschalten in den Standby (ca. 3 Minuten Absetzen) aber jedes Mal das vorletzte Gerät wieder verbinden. Je nach Gerät mehr oder weniger umständlich und nervig. Ab und zu verweigert der PX die Verbindung und muss neu gestartet werden. Das DECT Telefon im Büro brachte den Ton trotz Verbindung teilweise nicht über den Kopfhörer. Die Mikrofonqualität ist im Großraumbüro gut, nur ein Gesprächspartner bemerkte einen "blechernen" Ton.

Der Lichtsensor zum An- und Abschalten ist etwas unzuverlässig beim Erkennen des Tragens. Sowohl das fehlende Fortsetzen der Wiedergabe (die auch bei "korrekter Funktion" immer sofort wieder pausiert und manuell gestartet werden muss, App- und geräteunabhängig!) als auch das fehlende Pausieren beim Absetzen kommen vor. Änderungen der Empfindlichkeit lösten das Problem. Besonders wenn der PX über Mützen getragen wird, ist das Deaktivieren des Sensors zu empfehlen, hier macht er keinen guten Eindruck. Wer den Kopfhörer im Dunkeln (Case, Schublade) aufbewahrt, sollte den Kopfhörer vorher abschalten. Der Akku hält wie versprochen ca. 22 Stunden durch. Wenn er leer ist, geht auch kein Kabelbetrieb mehr. Die Ladezeit beträgt ca. 90 Minuten.

Bedienung:

Mangelhaft. Die Bedienung am Gerät geht gut von der Hand. Die Knöpfe geben ein gutes Feedback. Es kommt anfangs vor, das man die Bluetooth/NC Tasten statt der Leiser Taste drückt, eine Verteilung auf beide Seiten wäre besser gewesen. Die Hinweistöne sind nicht zu laut, leider fehlt eine Akkuansage.

Die App lässt die Bedienung nur zu, wenn die Standortbestimmung aktiviert ist. Für mich eine absolute Frechheit und in Zeiten des regelmäßigen Datenlecks unverständlich. Der Kopfhörer wird regelmäßig nicht gefunden, obwohl er mit dem Handy verbunden ist und Musik abspielt. Je nach Fall ist hier ein Absetzen oder Neustart der Kopfhörer erforderlich. Die Akkuanzeige ist unzuverlässig, da sie unvorhersehbar schwankt. Zwischen einem Aus- und wieder Einschalten des Kopfhörers steigt sie um 4-8%, die letzten 20% des Akkus verschwinden dafür in einer Stunde anstatt in vier. Hier muss dringend nachgebessert werden.

Eine Wahl des NC Modus über den Kopfhörer (z.B doppelt Drücken der NC Taste) würde sehr helfen, besonders Leuten die nicht immer das Handy verbunden haben.

Ausstattung:

Mangelhaft. Mitgeliefert wird eine Tragetasche, die Dreck anzieht und maximal vor Kratzern schützt, ein USB- und ein Klinkenkabel. Kein Ladegerät oder Hard case, was bei dem Preis enttäuscht. Die Cases für den B+O H9 passen zufriedenstellend (Siehe Fotos). Der Akku ist nicht wechselbar. Positiv ist, dass das Klinkenkabel mechanisch absoluter Standard und daher einfach ersetzbar ist.

Fazit:

Leider überzeugt der PX nicht vollständig. Die Probleme beim Bluetooth sind zu verzeihen, da diese leider weit verbreitet sind. Aber der mangelhafte Tragekomfort, der nur mit Nachhilfe zufriedenstellend ist und die bescheidene App Bedienung sind klare Minuspunkte. Hier kann durch Firmware und App Entwicklung noch viel verbessert werden.

Wenn es einen Konkurrenten gäbe, der seine Vorteile (sehr guter Klang, mehrere Bluetooth Geräte, hochwertige Haptik) mit besserem Komfort und besserer Bedienung vereinen würde, ginge er zurück. Den höchsten Preis im Feld kann er so aktuell nicht rechtfertigen. 250€ wären vertretbar.

Ich hoffe meine Rezension konnte Ihnen/Euch weiterhelfen.

Nachtrag (17.05.19): Im Flugzeug konnte das ANC voll und ganz überzeugen.

Before I go off and slam these headphones, I'll start off with the positives:
1. Battery life - I used my B&W PX headphones while travelling to and from work (about an hour per day) and then probably another 6 hours a day playing video games and watching stuff on YouTube (yes, my lifestyle leaves something to be desired. This isn't a review of my lifestyle. Okay? I know you're judging me. Stop it.) and I only really charge my headphones 1-2 times a week. That's pretty great considering how many hours I use them per day.

2. Noise cancellation - I get the bus to and from work and these headphones really were great at drowning out the sound of the bus engine and the other paupers chattering amongst themselves on the peasant wagon. I even used these on a couple of flights and they completely nullified the sound of the jet engines.

And now... the moment we've all been waiting for... the negatives:
1. Sound quality - If you've never bought a pair of expensive headphones before and you're looking at the B&W PX headphones thinking "This is going to be revolutionary. Life-changing. SENSATIONAL. They've got to be so much better than these £40 headphones that I currently use" then be prepared to be so, so wrong and to hate yourself probably forever if you buy a pair. My SOL Republic V8 wired headphones make these things sound like garbage. I mean that wholeheartedly. The sound quality of the PX really does make you think "why are these 10 times the price of what they should be?". If you're going to spend £330 on a pair of headphones then PLEASE go for Bose, Sennheiser, Sony or some other reputable company.

2. Build quality - The first time I put these on my head, I thought "wow... these are heavy" and that was backed up by the big dent they left on my head after every time I wore them for more than 15 minutes. They are HEAVY. And you might think well, maybe that's a sign that they use good quality materials that are going to last. Wrong again. I finally got a full refund from Amazon after not only the first pair of these headphones broke on me but the second pair that they sent as a replacement also broke too. On the first pair, it was the play/pause button that got stuck. A minor defect really but I'm not willing to pay £330 for a pair of headphones with poor sound quality AND a broken play/pause button. The second pair came and after less than a month, the power on/off button broke and the headphones would no longer turn on even after being left to charge for 2 hours.

Seriously, I tried to ignore the people giving poor reviews of these headphones when I bought them because I thought nah, come on... Bowers & Wilkins are reputable. They look study and like they're made out of high quality materials. I'll give them a shot. For the last 6 months, I've just been wishing I'd went for the Bose headphones I was originally looking at. Thankfully, I got a full refund and now I can. Don't be me from 6 months ago. Be me now. Go for the Bose headphones you were looking at.

UPDATE:
I didn't go for a pair of Bose headphones in the end. I chose the Sony WH-1000X M3 headphones as they were consistently receiving reviews that put them ahead of the Bose QC35 ii. I won't go into too much depth but they are the best headphones I've ever listened to. I work with a guy who is a serious audiophile and even he was blown away and is considering them for his next pair (he's sceptical still as he's a wired headset user through and through)

Riconosco che la mia recensione probabilmente è un po troppo lunga, ma devo aggiungere necessariamente un importante Update alla prova, che sinceramente non fa che confermare la recensione precedente per quanto riguarda la tecnologia Bluetooth ma forse denigrava un po troppo la cuffia in se.. Mi mancava una prova da fare, collegare la cuffia in passivo al AK70 e il risultato è stato pazzesco, ha surclassato quasi tutte le mie cuffie in prova compreso la mitica hifiman 400i anche se in questo caso forse la sorgente non è il massimo per una planare.
È una cuffia per acustica, la batteria è letteralmente divina, schiocca che è un piacere sax chitarre prendono davvero vita. Per non parlare dei violini! Ha un medio alto sopraffino veramente di classe, è tutto particolarmente esaltante. Sono estremamente sensibili quindi molto rivelatrici ogni distorsione contenuta nel brano viene esaltata. Percussioni riprodatte in questo modo non le ho mai sentite onestamente, è veramente esaltante e ridicolizza la povera sennheiser m2 o b&o h6 provata ovviamente con la stessa sorgente. Solo la grande phidelio x2 la supera in qualità ma stiamo parlando di una cuffia aperta con driver da 5cm! Enorme e intrasportabile. Voglio fare i complimenti a b&w per una grande cuffia passiva che può essere usata all'occorrenza anche in modalità bluetooth e filtro ambientale. Io la vedo proprio così ora 300€ li vale tutti e me la tengo stretta.. Pensare che l'ho pagata una cifra ridicola..

All'ora mi accingo ad eseguire una recensione ad una delle cuffie top del panorama Bluetooth oggi esistente. Ho letto decine di recensioni in cui si lodava la qualità musicale superiore a tutti i concorrenti diretti, sony bose e sennheiser. In questa mia breve prova ho avuto diverse conferme e nessuna sorpresa. Premetto l'ho acquistata a 202€ usata in perfette condizioni pari al nuovo approffitando del prime day. L'ho provata accoppiata ad un s7edge, ipad pro e astell&kern ak70 che sfrutta il mitico aptxhd quest'ultimo con tracce flac prevalentemente a 24bit. Prima conferma il chip bluetooth della samsung è penoso si sente decisamente meglio ipad che sfrutta il codec aac in teoria inferiore al aptx samsung. Non ho avuto nessun tipo di problema che ho letto su una miriade di recensioni negative al riguardo del sensore dei padiglioni che mette in pausa le cuffie quando vengono rimosse, l'ho sballottate per bene ma non ha mai interrotto la musica una sola volta, probabilmente hanno risolto il problema con il nuovo firmware, direi molto comodo. Ho costatato che suonano decisamente meglio senza filtro ambiente con musica ad alta qualità e con il filtro settato su ufficio con deezer sul samsung (più pulizia nell'ascolto meno confusione).
A livello costruttivo non le sento eccessivamente pesanti, stringono un po troppo ma ci si fa l'abitudine presto, comunque decisamente inferiori alle b&o play non sono minimamente confrontabili, pelle d'agnello e alluminio, il top.
Vediamo al suono, ho avuto la conferma ancora una volta che le cuffie Bluetooth non sono a livello delle cugine passive, la ho confrontata con una sennheiser momentum 2.0 passiva, b&o play h6 seconda gen. Hifiman 400i e philips fidelio x2, cuffie che costano tutte decisamente meno dei 350€ della px prezzo al nuovo qui su amazon. Per correttezza le ho collegate ad un modulo Bluetooth anstell&kern xb10 e non direttamente al ak70 (non ci sarebbe partita) che svolge il ruolo di sorgente aptxhd, ultima nota il modulo xb10 non riesce a pilotare adeguatamente le hifiman 400 è un carico troppo elevato, questa la collego direttamente al ak70.
Ebbene su ogni prova la px ne esce sconfitta. Il suono è decisamente flat con i medi messi in risalto, la curva è simile al hifiman ma ha differenza di questo è decisamente più calda, i bassi sono presenti ma molto veloci e gli alti alquanto delicati, forse gli avrei preferiti un po più in risalto ma è il giudizio di un quarantenne magari non ci sento più molto bene, diciamo non aggiunge niente alla musica e questo è sicuramente positivo. Quello che manca qui è la dinamica pura, la separazione tra gli strumenti, la pulizia tra il silenzio e il suono il famoso s/n in cui il povero amplificatore del px esce malamente sconfitto dal piccolo xb10. Non è che il px non sia potente anzi se pilotato dal ak70 ti sfonda letteralmente i timpani ma li manca quel qualcosa.. Anche la tridimensionalida del suono a mio avviso non è il massimo, molti nelle recensioni enfatizzavano la spazialità degli strumenti grazie al posizionamento degli altoparlanti, io sinceramente non ho notato niente di particolare, anzi l'ho trovata alquanto mediocre, le sennheiser mi piacciono decisamente di più.
Per le mie prove sulla qualità del'amplificatore io uso sempre la stessa canzone "private investigations" dei dire straits a 24 bit flac, è qui che si sente tutta la dinamica di una cuffia dove lo stadio di amplificazione la fa da padrone, tutto batteria basso chitarra elettrica e tastiere danno vita ad un sound esplosivo, la migliore qui è decisamente la philips fidelio x2 seguita da vicina da hifiman 400i, la px la esegue in modo piatto non travolgente al quanto deludente. Addiritura anche il pianoforte di einaudi ha un suono quasi artificioso non saprei, la differenza con l'uscita del ak70 con la medesima traccia è parecchio marcata.
Siamo alla resa dei conti la ricomprerei? A 350€ assolutamente no, avrete capito che per me la caratteristica fondamentale di una cuffia è la qualità audio, se è quello che cercate per ascoltare della buona musica intorno alle quattro mura di casa ma volete una connessione Bluetooth io suggerirei un modulo Bluetooth collegato ad una buona cuffia passiva, non dico necessariamente anstell&kern, ho avuto anche il fiio non era niente male, se non vi importa del bluetooth all'ora un buon dap magari con il Bluetooth come ak70 o fiio x3 o ibasso dx200, un amplificatore per cuffie sarebbe il top ovviamente ma parlo di libertà di movimento. Se vi serve la portabilità ora ha senso acquistare queste genere di cuffie ma ho qualche dubbio sulla portabilità della px, ho le bose on-ear e sono tutta un'altra cosa piccole e leggere, ma si sendono decisamente peggio delle px.

First off - these things are very impressive, in pretty much all aspects.

Materials and build quality are light years ahead of the closest (wireless/noise cancelling) competition at the same price point. I came from a pair of Bose QC35s (loved them too) but it's really no contest. Steel, leather and gorgeous textured/woven nylon.

Usability wise these things win too, the sensors that pause and resume music when you take the headphones or an earcup off are magical, and the fact that B&W themselves recommend using that function instead of ever turning the headphones off (meaning instant pairing and resumption of music playback the moment you put them back on) really adds to the experience of using these headphones. The buttons on the right earcup are easy to find your way around, and the addition of a button to toggle noise cancelling on and off is a godsend coming from my old QC35s, which needed to use the bose app.

Sound wise very impressed, much wider and clearer sounding than I've listened to before. Sounded great out of the box - rather different from the QC35s or HyperX Cloud 2s that are my 'normal' over-ears for different uses but certainly better to my taste. Not sure whether burn-in improving the sound noticeably is a thing or if it's just getting used to the sound profile of new headphones but either way the sound on these is nothing short of stellar in my opinion.

Some people have complaints about comfort - they do have a slightly firmer than usual grip on the sides of your head and to a lesser extent the top, but I can't describe them as anything but 'very comfortable'. Maybe I'm just fortunate that my head shape matches these quite well! The leather earcups and headband lining look and feel gorgeous, and should last longer than the faux leather and soft foam of some other headsets. They're attached magnetically too so replacing down the line should be dead easy.

USB C for charging should be the norm these days, and the fact that you can listen through *either* usb c or a 3.5mm cable on these things is very good in my book. Battery life excellent also, especially if you don't use the noise cancelling to death - the isolation on these things even without ANC on is pretty impressive!

Overall, I can't recommend these things enough, no regrets at all having switched to these from my QC35s!

Прислали сегодня я не буду вдаваться в описание качество звука (в сети полно отзывов) в основном потому, что надо "обкатки" и, кстати, слушать достаточно долго, чтобы быть как можно больше целей, как вы можете. Чего бы это ни стоило, но имеют все характеристики на top для этого ценового диапазона и категории. Сейчас я могу сказать, что наушники, для меня, они собраны в виде (без движения оставить....скрип или вибрация), большой Материал, как алюминий, баллистический нейлон и кожа (натуральная кожа) мягкие и шелковистые на ощупь возвращают приятное и утешительное чувство надежности. После неудачной покупки с Plantronics backbeat pro plus (перепакованы и сделал после 15' для боль для МОИХ ушей) я объездил вдоль и поперек, пытаясь инфо о модели более удобные и эффективные. В конце концов, кажется, что в этой возрастной/тип, топ-модели, если именно B&W Px, Sony WH-1000XM2, Bose QuietComfort 35 II и Sennheiser Momentum 2. Исключительно в сторону комфорта должны преуспеть в Бозе с Px на второй ступеньке. Я выбрал второе, потому что не нужно делать сеансов прослушивания от 5 часов и более, но в основном потому, что PX-это, безусловно, красивая и "стильная" все. После ношения я могу подтвердить, что это удобно!!! Никакой боли или признаков усталости после 3 часов прослушивания. Мягкие павильоны в кожу (надежно удерживается в штаб-квартире от 4 маленькие магниты, не "вульгарные" суставов....) заключают в себе совершенно внешнее ухо, не касаясь его, или еще хуже давить на него! Кроме того, глубина павильона, чтобы предотвратить ухо нажатий на драйвер (другой возможный источник дискомфорта/боли), что на некоторых наушников, случается. Прилагаю несколько фото, что не делает ему чести... жить здорово! Я надеюсь, что помощь, особенно для тех, кто хочет безопасно, что касается комфорта.

P. S. Подключен к смартфон Huawei Mate 10 Pro через Bluetooth с кодеком aptX HD-это чистое удовольствие!

EDIT: после недели прослушивания я могу подтвердить, комфорт более чем удовлетворительным. Что касается аудио у меня была некоторое время в недоумении, так как, иногда, звук, приобретало оттенок, как если бы это было "коробку" т. е. потеря глубокие басы. Ужасное для меня, что я люблю именно эти частоты (не насос никто не позволил, конечно). Я скоро понял, что это происходит только если павильоны НЕ будут размещены таким образом, чтобы создать номер полностью герметичным, между ними и головой. Если вы обратите внимание на это важно, особенно наушники находятся в состоянии спуститься на частотах невероятно низкие, с нежностью и чистотой захватывающие. Надо сказать, что, по крайней мере для меня, и теперь, когда я знаю, не трудно найти правильную позицию, и что я получаю без необходимости поместите оголовье или павильонов себя в местах, не естественные... Это очень просто. Это также верно, что не сложно потерять герметичность, например, зевать или носить очки. Кто-то в сети, сообщает, что со временем padilgioni в памяти принимает форму очки, и проблема будет меньше. Другие говорят, разместите ламелей выше из павильонов, однако, мне не кажется, что решение еще и потому, что линзы, таким образом, берут на себя угол неправильной. Я имею в виду, если вы, кто носит очки, и вы должны их надевать во время прослушивания (я их снимаю), имейте в виду этот аспект. Если спицы очень тонкие (тип оправы силуэт, так сказать), кажется, нет никаких проблем.
