Beautiful but use headphones

Great picture quality, but the volume leaves much to be desired. Had to buy additional external speakers to be able to watch anything from any amount of distance at all, even with the volume jacked all the way up on all levels (browser sound, system sound, actual media sound).

Blk Friday Deal but it’s secondary Sales item.

Nice gaming monitor but not a good dealer. I bought this item on black Friday, and the price was $509.99. When I received the package, it looks like a secondary sale, with a lot of packaging tape on the box, and the same inside, I mean if just like this, I don't mind. But it has a broken pixel on the screen!!! That pissed me off. Because of the packaging tape, the box was broken when I open it, so I throw away and the garbage truck toke it, so maybe I can’t return it.

Overall this is a great monitor. This is my 2nd Asus monitor and I'm very happy with the quality and performance. The HDR not so great in dark scenes 😕. Other than that it's great graphics are impressive in 4k clear and crisp.

Hi everyone,

I picked this monitor up to take full advantage of my gaming rig and upgrade from a 1080p 144hz monitor. It was exactly what I was looking for and has performed well and met expectations gaming performance. Friendly reminder that you will need a display port cable to reach 144hz refresh rate; HDMI will only enable 120hz for this specific monitor.

Excellent UHDR monitor

I purchased this monitor to replace a principal monitor for a 2-monitor setup I have. (I use the VG28UQL1A as my main monitor for gaming.) The VG28UQL1A is quick, responsive, and has vibrant colours. Two words of caution, though, and they're not related to the monitor itself: (1) Windows 10/11 many not play nicely with this monitor in a 2-monitor setup, and it may be related to the GPU drivers. I've noticed performance improvements with Windows / GPU driver updates. (2) You *may* need a robust GPU to drive this monitor. I have an AMD Radeon VII which drives my 2 monitors nicely, but be aware that YMMV.

Bang for buck

I upgraded to this from an ASUS MG28UQ 4K 60hz monitor and I gotta say it’s a big improvement with the 144HZ. I was physically comparing this to the LG Ultragear and stuck with ASUS because it’s an inch bigger and offers built in speakers. To most those things may not be a big a deal but I appreciate the simplicity of this monitor and could care less for the RGB backlight the LG Ultragear provides. Highly recommend this monitor.

Good but with some serious bad optimizations

Picture quality is pretty solid out of the box, but have serious problems over hdmi 2.1. This technology is simply not ready for PC already.

1. No support out of the box for 144hz on HDMI. It need overclock to reach 144hz on hdmi 2.1 and for me it caused some serious black screen flickering. That is advertised when you overclock at that point. But with the Samsung G70 it have 144hz out of the box and no issue on that side so far.

2. Very poor image quality on DIsplay port, haven’t try to calibrate myself cause of the significant brightness decrease. Compare on the samsung G70 after a little bit of tweaks you can have a very decent picture quality over Display port.

Well maybe it was a faulty unit, i was pretty satisfied with Asus product in the past, but this one isn’t make it.

Not the brightest. Dead Pixels

As many people are saying in the reviews. The monitor itself doesn't get that bright for HDR. Also, my monitor came with a dead pixel (Update: returned it for another monitor f the same. Also came with a dead pixel.) Other than that it's a pretty solid monitor, but expect a dead pixel.

Best monitor I've ever used

This is hands down the best monitor I've ever used. I was slightly worried about shipping this item but luckily UPS did a good job. During testing this monitor does 4k 120hz on the Xbox Series X very nicely, and the colors and brightness are the greatest I've ever seen in a monitor. I plan on updating this review down the line but initial thoughts: I am extremely impressed.

Beware of ASUS scams!

ASUS sent me a defective version of this monitor, with a power issue right out of the box. When I complained, they made me try several "fixes" which of course didn't work. Then they finally agreed to replace the monitor. However, after I shipped it to ASUS, they emailed me saying that *I* caused the damage and they would only fix it for an additional $600! What kind of scam is ASUS running?? This is how they do business?
AVOID BUYING FROM ASUS, or pray that what you ordered actually works, because their support group will not help you.
Also, special shout out to Ron at ASUS for wasting hours of my time -- it would have been more polite of you to just tell me to go **** myself right at the beginning.

Amazing Console Monitor

This is the perfect Monitor for Xbox series X and PS5
Easily get 4k 120hz with hdmi 2.1 and it looks great. Now we just need a capture card to have 120hz pass through but that’s another story lol

Great bang for your buck, but randomly turns black for some reason

This monitor is fantastic. It has everything you'd want in a gaming monitor for a relatively cheap price tag. I gave this monitor a 3 star because it randomly goes black for a second, but it never does it during games which is weird. Does anyone else have a fix or experienced a similar problem?

Been waiting over a year for it but finally it

I went from a 2k 165hz asus to this. The 4k graphics are stunning. Very noticeable and very nice. Changed the res and hz in windows and that was it. The difference in whites to save your eyes isn't noticeable after a few days. Very happy with it.

Faulty VG28UQL1A

This monitor seems to emit some electrical noise when shutting down my PC which causes the artifact shown in the image. The VG28UQL1A has excellent response time, picture quality and a good implementation of brightness with the HDR setting. This monitor does suffer from horrible backlight bleed though. Overall this isn't a good monitor but it does have excellent picture quality and features when it works.

Screen randomly goes black and is slow to wake up from standby regardless of interface (HDMI or DP.)

Wanted to get a better 4k gaming monitor than my old 60Hz Acer G-Sync display but this one is too buggy to put up with. The monitor works perfectly fine while gaming, oddly enough, but while doing basic productivity work within Windows it will momentarily go black about 2-3 times and hour. This monitor is also very slow to wake up from power saving modes and switching inputs. There's something not quite right about this display but I tried the updated Firmware (025) and ensured the Windows driver was installed just to make sure it had every chance to be successful before I returned the display. Asus offered to "repair" it or send me a refurbished unit after waiting 15 days without a main display, but for almost $900 I can't do that. 2 stars for poor quality and making me do firmware updates to a monitor just to see if it will work as designed.

Обновился до этого монитора (VG28U) после того, как остался недоволен гораздо более дешевым (VG279). Основным отличием между этими двумя мониторами (кроме небольшой разницы в ширине) является разрешение 4K вместо 1080p. В то время как разрешение 1080p у VG279 было подходящим для игр, это приводило к тому, что текст и небольшие элементы пользовательского интерфейса становились пиксельными и / или размытыми. Моя повседневная работа связана с дизайном, поэтому мне просто необходимо было иметь высокое разрешение для работы.

Great monitor, when it works

This is my last Asus purchase ever. $800 and Asus can't release a monitor without basic feature that have been around for decades.

1. Random static over speakers - only happened twice so far
2. The biggest flaw: Doesn't detect a signal when there is one. Makes it nearly impossible to get into my Bios or access the troubleshooting menu when holding Shift while restarting Windows. Makes using this monitor to set up a new computer a pain.

Нужен был монитор, который был бы не очень огромным, но с высокой частотой обновления и разрешением. Решил попробовать вот это. До сих пор я тестировал его на своей PS5, и он отлично работает и выглядит красиво. Коробка была отправлена от ASUS и имела их печать, так что она была подлинной. Самый надоедливый монитор на свете

Во-первых, на оригинальной панели были зафиксированы два мертвых пикселя ярко-зеленого цвета. К счастью, Asus выполнила свою гарантию и заменила его. Теперь перейдем к текущей панели... эта глупая штука так невероятно раздражает. Если входной сигнал каким-либо образом изменяется в течение любого промежутка времени, панель переходит в спящий режим. Подышите на него, и панель перейдет в спящий режим.
Монитор находится в спящем режиме, когда вы включаете ПК? Теперь он проснется на долю секунды вместе с ПК, а затем сразу же снова перейдет в спящий режим, прежде чем вы даже сможете добраться до bios.
Отключить эту "функцию" невозможно.
Еще одна ужасная настройка - "Динамическое затемнение", которая отключит отключите участки экрана, которые отображают черный цвет / тени. Это работает за счет наличия примерно десяти вертикальных секций по всему экрану, которые будут включаться и выключаться, чтобы "усилить черноту" в виде нелепой зебры. Как вы можете себе представить, это на самом деле выглядит ужасно и раздражает на практике. Я подумал, что это просто еще одна проблема с панелью, прежде чем понял, что происходит, к счастью, это настройка, которую можно отключить.

Screen burned in after about a 10 minute period on the pause screen.

Monitor was great until it wasn't. I was playing ratchet and clank on tht PS5 and paused the game for about 10 minutes. When I came back, the pause screen image BURNT into the screen. Thankfully, I had only had to monitor for about two weeks and was able to return it. Hopefully mine was just defective and no others have had this problem. After spending the $800 on this thing and having this issue, I decided not to buy another. Asus lost my business on this one. I'll be buying another brand.

Четкое представление о размытии экрана и измельчении изображений осталось в прошлом. У меня никогда не было лучшего монитора (также я никогда не тратил на него столько денег, но жалею ли я об этом, нет). IPS-панели видны, хотя и на черных экранах, при любом белом освещении на указанной панели, таком как указатель мыши, но меня это устраивает, так как цвет и качество изображения безумные .... Единственное, что могло бы сделать это лучше, - это если бы оно было изогнутым, но для FPS это монитор без задержек на экране!!! Вы не пожалеете об этом.
P.s. эта штука весит тонну. И крепится к его горловине-подставке. Отрываются только ножки, но их очень легко снять.
Pss это изображение на мониторе может быть просто лампочкой в комнате, настолько яркие островки… если он включен, вам не нужен свет, чтобы видеть, где вы просыпаетесь в комнате, так что 5 звезд по яркости 6, если бы можно было оценить его так ....

Идеальный монитор с разрешением 4K в дополнение к PS5

Я купил это в основном для использования на работе, но у моей жены к этому подключены PS5, Nintendo Switch и Steam Deck. Качество сборки замечательное, это хорошо сделанный монитор.
