I am a quadriplegic and really needed to upgrade my system to be able to handle all the add-ons I need to make access easy. I often have heavy demands on the processor and board because of the tasks I am running. My old system really slowed down to the point where it was almost unusable. A computer savvy friend of mine put together the components I picked, one of which was this board. The only difficulty we had with it was during installation of a liquid cooler for the processor. It really took two sets of hands. Other than that, working with this board was simple and easy. We connected multiple Sata drives, two SDDs and two HDD's, all without a problem. We also attached two internal DVD writers. 16 gigs of memory topped it off along with an Intel 3770 processor And a Geo-Force 550 TI card. I have been so accustomed to plug-and-play that it threw me when Windows 7 was loaded and I only saw one hard drive. However, with a little help we figured out that we had to go in the disk management section of Windows and format each of the drives before they would be visible in "my computer". I know-Should have been immediately obvious but it took a while to figure out. After that, everything went smooth as silk. This board with the Intel processor makes for a lightning fast computer and no matter how hard I try to load it up with programs it just performs flawlessly. I suspect this would be a gamer's delight. The board has everything I could ever want in the way of accessibility and speed. It certainly was expensive but to be honest with you it was worth every penny of it and I would do it again, without hesitation, now that I have used it. Great job Asus!

I bought one of these motherboards. I put everything together start the machine up and suddenly I have a bios error. No CPU fan detected. I go into the bios and sure enough the bios reports no cpu fan. But the cpu optional fan is running the bios reports. The problem is I did not have anything connected to the cpu_opt_fan connector. Asus told me to send the motherboard back to them. They did not have a spare motherboard to send back to me, so I returned the board to the supplier I bought from. I seem to have bad luck when it comes too new flashy motherboards from Asus. I note that ouside of Amazon you cannot buy this board. I wonder what is going on. Also I found out that if you have a memory cooler installed you can not insert a large gpu in the 1st PCI slot. I hope that this is not an issue with the p8z77 pro/thunderbolt.3/14/2013I have just returned my second Premium motherboard to Asus. This one was DOA. I am waiting to see what the Asus service center has to say about this board. I have found another supplier of the Premium motherboard. If need be I will just purchase another board and hope that the rev # is different from 1.02

P8Z77-V is pretty much like the P8Z68 with some extra features. However, I must say that the I/O Plate Shield could have been much better if they kept to the plastic foam like the P8Z68. Nonetheless, the P8Z77 takes advantage of the Z77 chipset and best supports third generation processors. Works great with the iCore5 3570K. The wifi thing isn't connected at first, as someone has pointed out, but it's really easy to just install, so I don't see why Asus couldn't just put it together as a whole piece.For gamers that want to know the best benefits, the rear panel in general supports more USB 3.0 ports than the P8Z68 V-Pro, the PS/2 port for keyboards is crucial for gamers that need a faster response in mechanical keyboarding games, games like Starcraft heavily depend on that. USB keyboards just don't give better key roller compared to PS/2 ports and many articles can reference this. So this really, only leaves a one difference in USB port in the back. Both motherboards have setup for front panel USB support, so the extra USB onboard ports on the P8Z68 V seem practically useless to me. There are extra PCI Express 2.0 x 16 than the V-Pro, Wifi so that your PC can be used wherever you are in the house compared to a direct cable from the router. Everything else, they're both practically the same. Remember that the P8Z68-V is more expensive and has less features to boot.For new builders, I recommend this over the P8Z68 V-Pro Gen 3 for getting the best bang out of your buck. It's cheaper and it has all the functions and more than the P8Z68.

It's got all the "whistle and bell" capability a tech could ask for. That's exactly why I own it! Because I have utilized every ability this motherboard can produce and more ( I added a PCIe 1394 a b card to the mix). Really this is a great board! They are getting very scarce so, if you find one I'd scoop it up if I were you.I have only one "con" where this board is concerned: The "on board" battery, you know the CR-2032, doesn't work. I've replaced the battery but when I unplug my machine from the wall it still looses all BIOS settings and I have to go re-do them all again. At times this can be a real pain. I don't know if my board is an exception or, if this malfunction is inherent across the whole product line. It is for this single "con" that I have docked this product one star!

I couldn't have been happy going with this board. Allot of the features are well thought through unlike the fluff you sometimes see just to make the box look more appealing. I am running a i7-3770k, 16 GB of G. Skill, Plextor M5 SSD (primary), WD Green (data drive). I haven't put a video card in it yet, relying on the integrated Intel graphics chip for the moment. I was stunned by the windows experience scores. The SSD topped the scales at 7.9 (of 7.9). I have it connected to Asus version of the SATA III 6.0 Gbps connection versus the standard SATA III. The Processor and the Memory scored a 7.8. The integrated graphics scored a 6.6 which is exceptional.The board is actively managing the voltage levels along with clock speeds. Everything about it is fast but also extremely stable. No crashes or hang-ups yet after the first couple of weeks. The WI-FI Go and fan control are great features. ASUS really put some good effort into the included software.

This motherboard has been working flawlessly for 6 months now. The BIOS setup was a piece of cake and it's a breeze to navigate and manage the uEFI is great. The OS side interface is pretty good as well, but I don't use it much. I haven't used the WiFi Go, so I can't comment on that, but all the other spec seem to work perfectly. I am very happy with this board. It did not look like it was to visually appealing, but was i surprised it looks beautiful. As for features it has a s*** ton of them, and the built in wifi is pretty awesome and can be used as an access point for wireless devices. The only kind of port i wish it featured was firewire so i could plug my case's firewire cable in, but not really a problem since i had no plans of using firewire. The only negative thing i can say is for some reason the usb 3.0 port's pins were a little bent and one pin was missing. This is not a problem right now, since i have a usb 3.0 to usb 2.0 adapter. Hopefully if i need to get that usb 3.0 adapter fixed in the coming months, iw ill have a smooth rma process for the time being though i have to many games to play.

This motherboard is fantastic, it beat expectations by quite a bit. It has everything a normal user will need,From USB to even some older ports such as PS/2, it even has an onboard HDMI slot so you can still do work while you're waiting for your graphics card to come in.The Bios was a sexy change from what I was used to. It's super simplified for the more casual user, but can be switched to advanced mode easily to change settings as wanted. The thing that stood out the most about the bios menus were the Visual love put into the UI, it's jaw dropping different from the oldschool blue screens. Oh, and it has built in mouse support for the Bios!

I bought this to go along with my 2 7970's and an i7-3770k. This board has everything I could ever want. Everything is nice and spaced accordingly so no real estate is wasted. Tons of fan connectors so you'll always have all the cooling power you'll need. The integrated graphics are powerful enough to play pretty much any game on at least medium quality. This board is excellent.However, there is only one gripe I have with it: The Wi-Fi Go! module. Installation was a little clumsy, and the reception is entirely unusable unless you connect the antenna to it. In addition to this, the antenna cable doesn't actually stick into the Wi-Fi Go! module, so you might have to sticky-tape it on. With the antenna, the signal is incredibly strong. That's my only gripe with it. The product is overwhelmingly good otherwise.

This is one of the best Motherboards I have ever purchased or used. I have been a home PC builder enthusiast for 20 years and I have always found ASUS products to be some of the best. I tried a Gigabyte mother board for this project and returned it to Amazon because of hardware compatibility issues. This board worked right out of the box. I do recommend updating the bios immediately for Windows 8 compatibility. The software suite that comes with this board is wide and deep. The Wi-Fi works flawlessly but be sure to mount it on the motherboard before mounting the ATX motherboard in your case. Amazon is also my go to for great prices and support.

This motherboard has everything and then some. The wireless adapter for anyone who is wondering is awesome. I play games with it and never have any issues with it. Any lag or anything like that has just been caused by my ISP. Also it is very to assemble. It is literally a matter of sitting the chip on the motherboard pins and then putting in a tiny screw. Just do it before you assemble the machine first. As for the antenna it pops in the back and sticks to the side of the case. Also I love the UEFI Bios it is very easy to use and this motherboard has plenty of fan controllers.

I know its confusing what brand to buy and what product of the brand to choose. i did a lot of research before buying this one. Many will consider ASRock for the price difference. However, i narrowed down the brands to Gigabyte, Asrock, MSI and asus.After comparing all together, Asus was the best choice from Quality, OC capabilities, price and Software. im not gonna go into details because the [...] has a gr8 article about these four mainboards so you can read it and compare yourself then choose whats best for you.Now the hard question was, should i buy this one, Deluxe or pro?i did a simple trick and went to newegg and compared the three products, all of them are the same except one has more USB 3.0 ports, bluetooth, more SATA 3 ports, more PCIe 1x slot.the price varies around 100$ between this one and the deluxe just for more USB 3.0 , Sata 3 and bluetooth. However, i dont need these extra stuff and i dont think they should cost that much, so i went with this one, saved 100$ and get other stuff with it.However, about the product itself, this is the best mainboard -whether this, deluxe or pro- among all of others, very solid, stable. ASUS software bundle is gr8 as well.If you are thinking of upgrading your PC, this is the best choice to get, good deal on a gr8 mainboard.

I bought this product based on price and its features I was interested in. Good price and great performance out of my i5 3750K. The automated UEFI overclocked it to 4.8ghz! I love it. Could not be happier. WiFi go is awesome to, just needed to install the part before putting in the MB in the case. Wish there we better instructions on the automated software in the UEFI, but that is what youtube is for.

I could not be happier. This mobo does it all. No problems installing it and getting it to boot up, first try. I liked Amazon's return policy on it, compared to some competition that I won't name, though I never had any reason to return it.

Great features, quality components, but this board is seriously let down by the ASUS software. The Wifi Go setup of DNLA crashed the AI suite everytime until I uninstalled the Wifi Go. Hopefully a few revisions to the software will improve the performance. In basic monitoring and automatic performance tuning the software is acceptable, though.Component-wise, the board is excellent. The layout which puts the front audio header at the farthest point from the front of the PC was not well thought out, but the DIMMs are spaced well and allow for most after-market cooling solutions without losing RAM (Depending on the RAM, you may need to remove huge, spiky heatsinks.) Lots of headers, including a USB 3.0 header so you don't have to resort to a cheesy pass-through.I don't know if I would buy the Pro version again, and the AI software suite leaves much to be desired, but performance-wise and quality wise this motherboard is excellent. If ASUS improves their software it is a can't miss.

Overall Excellent Motherboard. I used this for my first build and i enjoy it very much. It has a very simple BIOS that is easy to navigate and easy to set up OC for your CPU. This is a good buy, I recommend it.

This is an amazing board. I have had no problems with it thus far. I give it 4 stars because of a small piece of plastic broken on the non-latching side of one of the RAM ports.

ASUS P8Z77-V is a really easy motherboard to assemble.Pros: Easy and simple.Cons: Wire to Go needs to be assembled first, though main manual does not mention it. I assembled everything except the Wire to go, and had to disassemble Graphic card, power cable in order to take off motherboard, and reassembled everything. CPU fan must connected to fan 1 not fan 3. When I put a CPU fan on fan 3 slot, it said fan error! But as soon as I put it on fan 1, it worked well. One more complaint: Though AI Suite II is a good program to play with Fans (through Fan Xpert 2 program), it does not support graphic cards other than ASUS ones. I am using Sapphire HD 6850 and AI Suite II does not support controlling this graphic card.My rig: Intel Core i7 3770 processor 3.4 4 LGA 1155 Intel Solid-State Drive 330 Series 180GB SATA 6 Gbps 2.5-inch SSD OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W Modular High Performance Power Supply Corsair Vengeance 16 GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600MHz PC3 240 Pin DIMM Memory Sapphire AMD Radeon HD 6850 1GB PCI-E Video Card (100315L)

This was my first build myself and used this board. After turning on the system, updating the board was really easy from the Asus website. The board is full of features. I got this board over the P8Z77-V Pro because I already had a eSata bracket available which was the only really big difference minus 1 extra fan header. The 5 fan headers are plenty for my needs. The Asus AI Suite II is fantastic in my opinion. The Wi-Fi Go, Fan Xpert 2, Network iControl, USB Charger+ are great. The exclusive Q-connector is a feature all Motherboards should have. The USB 3.0 and Z77 Chipset work great. For those that don't overclock, the EPU feature is great and for those that do overclock, the TPU feature works for those. 1 board that can accomodate a large group of people and their needs/wants. There are way too many features to discuss here that this board does. I highly recommend this board, plus it looks great and overclocks very well when desired to do so.

This motherboard is very nice. I built a system from scratch with a i7-3770K CPU and 32 GB RAM with a eVGA video card hooked up to three 24 inch monitors and the system runs fast and quite. It was very easy to install the motherboard and connect everything. Had the system up and running in a few hours. I would also highly recommend the Velocity Micro GX2-W case. It is very easy to install everything in this case and it has nice prewiring.
