I spent a while looking for a decent mATX board, I was finding that the cheaper options around £70-100 tend to cut corners in terms of lacking a decent number of fan headers (I know you can get fan splitters but I like flexibility), or were b450 or older. For not too much extra with the b550m steel legend, it's future proofed to PCIe gen 4, supports 3rd gen Ryzen and beyond, and has a great feature set, it also looks the part. Is there better options for more money? Probably, but for this price I don't think there's a better option

Escribo esta reseña en cuanto me han entregado el paquete. La caja de Asrock viene tal cual y sin un envoltorio de plástico al vacío o precinto de seguridad, simplemente abres el estuche y todos los componentes están sueltos dentro. He comprobado que todos ellos están presentes y la placa en sí se encuentra protegida con espuma y fijada con presillas, pero la primera impresión ha sido terrible. Me he hecho de Amazon Prime expresamente para este pedido. Actualizaré la reseña cuando monte el PC y compruebe que funciona perfectamente.

¿ Pero que le pasa a Asrock con las memorias RAM ?. Dan problemas hasta las que dice la página que son compatibles. Poco han aprendido de Asus. Así es imposible recomendar esta marca de placas base.

Amazonでマザーボードを購入するのは2回目。今回も箱の封印シールもされておらず、またマザーボード本体をおおっているビニールにも封印がされていない。これが新品？と疑ってしまう。返品された物を再販しているのではないか心配になる。
追伸：Twitterでつぶやいたとこ、AsrockさんとAmazonさんから返信があり、新品である事がわかりました。BIOSの更新の為に開封されているみたいです。製造番号のシールに黄色い丸シールが貼られている物は新品だそうです。

Through all the hype around the release of the B550 chipset, I bought this motherboard thinking that it was a decently budget option with everything I needed. Don’t get me wrong, the thing worked. However, the RGB lighting over the IO shroud and the chipset stayed on even when the system was powered down, which really annoyed me when trying to go to sleep in my usually dark room. I tried to turn it off using Polychrome, only to have the software crash my computer out of the box. I tried contacting ASRock for support but their customer and technical service had less knowledge than some of the people posting on their forums. This is still a work in progress because it is a new product, but I would avoid it for the time being. I can definitely tell they were the daughter company of asus before with just how inexperienced the whole company seemed. Not to mention the IO shield was reused from a different board with empty WiFi antenna cutouts, just a sign of the quality and effort put into the product.

Upgraded from the B450M Steel Legend motherboard. Had absolutely no issues getting this setup once I booted my system up after upgrading. All the software worked with no issues and noticed some performance upgrades. I've noticed some bad reviews, but if you put the parts together... You shouldn't run into any issues. The only annoying issue I had was draining and filling the water loop, but it was about time for new fluid anyways which made the timing perfect.

Plenty USB ports, enough SATA ports, 2 Nvme.2 slots (second one is SATA and disables ports 3456), 1 m2 key.
Worked right out the box, the chipset drivers are still a bit buggy due to its recent launch. I expect it to get better in a couple of months.
Had a couple of issues with RAMs, but they are now fixed on the new BIOS update. Please select RAMs in the QVL list to avoid these issues, I had random crashes and windows corruption and found out it was due to RAM not being compatible with each other using the 4 slots (Team Group Nighthawk).
The RGB is beautiful and I didn't have any problems to match everything together. The only thing the software didn't recognize was the GPU, but this is known with the MSI RX5700XT Gaming X.

The board works fine, but Asrock needs to work on the RGB. First off, there Polychrome software is a complete mess. As of right now, all it does is give errors or crashes the computer, so I can't control any of the RGB at all, and the lights on the board stay on after you shut down the computer with no way that I can figure out how to turn it off. Also, after the fact, which is my fault for not doing the research, but apparently the lighting on Corsair Ram is not supported by Asrock. I really don't want to send it back, but I may have to, even though the Ram works as it should. At this point it doesn't matter because none of the lighting can be controlled at all, so I'm stuck with rainbow puke. My advice for anyone looking at purchasing a B550 board, look elsewhere until Asrock figures out their RGB issues. If RGB is important to you, go with MSI. They at least know how RGB is supposed to work. I haven't been more disappointed in a product in a long time.

Even if it didnt and needed a bios update, this motherbaord would not post period...
Switched ram to a lower frequency, from 3200 to 2666, no dice, switched 3 PSUs to see if the PSU was faulty, no dice, switch from 3rd Gen to 2nd Gen chips, no dice, tried first gen, no dice.. So I've determined it was the board, requested a replacement, came two days later (today earlier before this review), swapped the old with the replacement, Same symptoms as the first board. Frustrated so I used an Asus model x570 board I was saving for a later build. Added the 3rd gen chip and ram and used the PSU I originally planned on building with. The motherboard posted, and I was able to get into bios on my test bench...
Returning both the replacement and original board for my refund.

When I tried to boot my pc for the first time, the motherboard cpu and ram error light would glow solid red and the pc wouldn't post. I was really scared because I thought I broke my cpu or ram. Turned out the motherboard was trash. Got a motherboard from MSI and my pc booted fine. Really disappointed. The RGB was nice on the board though. I didn't really care for the big S logo.

Great motherboard! Worked straight out of the box with my Ryzen 3 3300x like it should have. Rgb is bright and board is durable and hefty feeling. Definitely was a tight fit in my dlm22 case but has plenty of fan and rgb headers. But wouldn't recommend buying at current price of $199 bc I got it for $170 and its msrp is around $155.

First PC build in about 20 years. Had no problems with the motherboard. Documentation is pretty slim, but I got everything to work after finding the right plugs. Had a Crucial P1 1TB 3D NAND NVMe PCIe Internal SSD card as the main memory instead of a larger SSD and had a hard time locating the slot for it, but found it under the heat shield. No WiFi or Bluetooth on the main board, so will have to add those separately. Otherwise it worked great.

I ordered this and I believe I got a faulty motherboard. Everything worked fine until I tried to power on the computer. There was no audio whatsoever. After trying every trick in the book and checking to see if it was my cables by plugging my old motherboard back in and testing, I determined the motherboard I got was a bad one and shipped it back and got a refund.
I'm sure this motherboard is as good as others say it is (Hell I really liked the RGB.), but it's depressing that I didn't get to have the same customer experience the others did. I didn't want to have to deal with the shipping again, as my order got delayed by a week after I ordered. I'll be fine just sticking to the motherboard I have currently I suppose.

I love this motherboard. It has plenty of RGB ports, a reinforced GPU slot, and RGB on the board itself. Works great OLOY Warhawk RGB RAM and a Ryzen 7 3700X. The attached IO shield is thin but does the job well. Gamers Nexus did testing on this board it was one of the coldest running VRMs. Definitely worth buying for $130.

Upgraded from an Asus Prime B450M/A in prep for the new Ryzen CPUs. RGB suport is great, and you can disable the board LEDs when the device is powered off. Clean looks, plenty of RGB support, and future proofing make for a great product. If you are debating on this board, go ahead and just buy it.

- + Держит самые топовые Rysen на AM4, одно из лучших питаний vrm. Твердотельные японские конденсаторы. Не самый плохой звук, хотя встречаются и лучше. Два разъёма M.2 для SSD с радиаторами. Наличие POST индикатора. Наличие всех необходимых видеовыходов. Красивый вид и дизайн.
- - Цена, за такую цену можно уже взять чипсет x570, хотя и плата будет начального уровня (что не имеет смысла), а здесь чипсет все таки B550, хотя это наверное самое оптимальное решение. Плохое описание ошибок POST индикатора. Отсутствует wifi (под него есть разъём). Один сетевой (LAN) разъём. Термопрокладки на VRM не полностью покрывают дроссели (может так задумано). Глюкавость Bios насчёт подсветки (может устранят в новых версиях). На сайте указано "*Not Совместимость с AMD Athlon™ Processors" при этом в списке есть Athlon PRO 3150GE(YD315BC6M4MFH). В bios разделе есть приписка: "*To support Ryzen 5000 G-series processors, it requires to update the BIOS with Matisse, Renoir or Vermeer CPU" а в последнем "*To support Ryzen 5000 series processors, it requires to update the BIOS with Matisse, Renoir or Vermeer CPU." Т. е. чтобы поставить 5000G серию или 5000 серию теперь, сначала надо сделать апгрейд , bios на другом процессоре (ядро Matisse, Renoir, Vermeer) — полный трэш. Может увеличить объём микросхемы Bios? Не пробовали? У меня не запустилась с Rysen 5 5600g, думал из-за этого, пришлось взять другой проц, с ним тоже не было старта, в сервисе обновили bios, но в итоге неисправна была память. Так что как с поддержкой 5000 серией из коробки не знаю. Сейчас работает прекрасно с Rysen 5 5600g. Отсутствие кронштейна для тяжёлых и длиных видеокарт наподобие как в ASROCK B550 PG RIPTIDE.
Поддерживает только Rysen от ZEN+. VRM холодный, по ощущениям градусов 35 по цельсию. Напрягают проблемы с зашивкой в BIOS микрокодов процессоров, в недостатках указал не все приписки и замечания по BIOS. Неужели нельзя впихнуть микрокоды для всех процессоров? Слышал о жалобах про медленный старт материнки. Такого не заметил. Стартует нормально, не дольше чем обычный среднестатистический комп. В биос есть быстрый старт, если не собираетесь менять конфигурацию, тогда в bios можно будет зайти только через утилиту (не использую). Считаю эту материнку самой оптимальной для AM4 по соотношению цена/качество, если планируете все таки проапгрейдить комп в будущем. Проблемы с bios не такие существенные, у многих плат ещё хуже. Пять баллов, хотя 4,5 более правильная оценка.

- + Самое первое, что бросается в глаза это все возможные подсветки.
Второе при включении — ryzen 5 5600x завёлся из коробки.
довольно-таки понятный биос.
5 разъёмов 4pin для подключения вентиляторов.
Мощные радиаторы для nvme накопителей.
Индикатор пост-кодов. - - А теперь о самом главном и, увы, грустном.
Из коробки биос был версии 1.90. Win11 с этим биосом установить не получится, как ни бейтесь, а самое интересное начинается как раз-таки после обновления биоса до последней на 14.02.2022 2.10. Напряжения танцуют, что просто мама дорогая! DRAM Voltage, при установке XMP профиля, в биосе вы увидите 1,350 V, но вот господа AIDA64 и OCCT Вам отобразят 1,344 V. SoC Voltage так же не фиксируется на значении 1,1 — будет 1,192-1,194 V и вот только после установки LoadLine в значение Level 1 приобретает +- похожие на истину значения, а именно 1,088 V. Дальше интереснее. В этой же версии БИОСа познакомитесь с таким явлением как вылет из онлайн-игр даже на штатном XMP профиле в 3200 МГц, проверял на 2х разных комплектах памяти G.Skill и Ballistix, из-за этого явления пришлось взять второй комплект памяти, грешил сначала на неё. Про дальнейший разгон я вообще молчу. Хотя на удивление в тяжёлых играх всё было ОК. В конечном счёте было принято решение откатить биос обратно к версии 1.90 и win10.
Память удалось разогнать до 4000 МГц. Но вот и опять ложка дёгтя. Начали отрубаться USB порты. в итоге ни мышью ни клавиатурой пользоваться не выходит. Напряжение при этом было выставлено 1,41 V а мониторинги показали при этом 1,404 V. В общем путём проб удалось достичь баланса при частоте 3600 МГц и напряжении 1,368 V, которые и стали искомыми 1,36 V. Мне этого хватило более чем.
Ещё столкнулся с такой проблемой. При отключении разъёма USB 3.0 на МП — вывалился пластиковый корпус этого разъёма. Кое как удалось установить его обратно не погнув ножки.
В общем и целом наверное следовало бы поставить 3 балла ну или точнее 2,5. Рекомендовать к покупке я её не могу. Лично я брал под красивую игровую сборку в купе с Palit RTX3080 GameRock — сочетаются идеально. По факту очень много мишуры в глаза, функционал явно хромает, будем надеяться, что с последующими биосами это всё поправят тогда может и порекомендую.
А общее впечатление в целом больше хорошее, чем плохое, потому и оставлю 4 балла. По мере появления дальнейшего опыта, хорошего или не очень, буду дополнять отзыв

Брал для брата на 5600x за 9500₽ без учёта кэшбэка. Решил попробовать со своими озу, одну видел, а другую(более старую) нет, проблема оказалась в том, что он ее не поддерживает-было это указанно на сайте разработчика. А так вставил все комплектующие, все подключил и все запустилось. На ней ничего не гнал, так что не знаю. Но из коробки все нормально работает.
