Fatal Hardware Error after 2 months
Drive was nice at first. Very fast and was impressed with the performance. However, there are concerns over the quality/longevity of the SSD. After a short time, my computer started having random boot errors saying that there was no drive installed.
I took the drive out and tried to connect it to my desktop and it said there was a fatal hardware error.
I requested a replacement and hope that it will not have this issue, but it seems these ssds are hit or miss. Will see what happens with the replacement.

and it is great value. A tip for those installing SSDs like ...
Worked perfectly, and the performance is quite decent. Obviously this is an entry-level SSD, but even if you spent twice as much for a more premium model, you won't get anywhere near twice the performance. This is ideal for upgrading units that came with slow hard drives to give them a new lease on life. I upgraded an older desktop for a client that had a Core 2 Quad Q9400, 4GB of DDR2 memory, and a 500GB 7200RPM hard drive with this SSD, moving the 500GB HDD to a secondary storage drive. Combined with a fresh install of Windows 10, the unit performs very well indeed. Windows and applications open rapidly, noise is nonexistent from this SSD, and it is great value.
A tip for those installing SSDs like this one where the capacity isn't very large : if it is a desktop or a laptop where you do not intend to use the 'hibernation' function of Windows, you can disable it, freeing up whatever capacity of RAM is for that unit. So if you have a PC with 8GB of ram, you will get an additional 8GB of free space on your SSD by doing this.
Open a command prompt with administrative privileges, and type "powercfg -h off" without the quotes and press enter. You won't get a response from the command prompt, but that command disables the hibernation for that system, instantly freeing up that drive space. Sleep mode will be unaffected. I find that very few people these days use the hibernation mode, so this is just wasted space in that regard. You can look up how to open a command prompt for your particular version of Windows using a web search, but it is quite easy. This will not work for a user account without administrative rights however, so if you want to do this on a PC at your workplace, consult your IT department to see if it is within their operational protocol to perform for you.

Great SSD, but do check out the SU-800 model
I've been buying Adata drives to use for my computer repair business, and they work great. I am hopeful that the wear leveling technology these drives claim to have will give them a longer lifespan than other inexpensive SSDs on the market. An SSD is a quick and effective solution for breathing new life into an aging PC; especially because Windows 10 runs terribly on traditional hard drives.
However, upon further researching, I will probably be pushing customers to buy the SU-800 models instead of the SU-760 because SU-800's have a dedicated DRAM chip which makes the drive faster and extends the lifespan of the flash memory. However the SU-760 model claims to have an "Embedded DRAM Buffer" which (according to my understanding) is similar to having a dedicated DRAM chip. I am still confident that these drives will hold and possibly outlive the computers that I've equipped with them.

Cheap SSD, maybe a little too cheap
This SSD is what is called a DRAM-less SSD, this means that it is fast for small transfers, but large reads or writes can slow it down to almost HDD speed. I forgot to check for this when I purchased it. Although I am using it for a secondary drive in my machine. For that it works perfectly. I wouldn't recommend using it as a boot drive, it will work but a couple dollars more will help enough that I think its worth it.
A good purchase and a good price, I just wouldn't recommend it for the main drive in a computer build.

First DOA, Second didn't last a month
First one was not recognizable in multiple computers. Sure, ok, that's fine, sometimes items are DOA. Second one comes, works fine for a few weeks, then randomly doesn't appear in Windows, isn't in BIOS either. Soon after it starts recognizing the SSD again, except now if it makes it past POST, which most of the time it would freeze, it won't boot into Windows. It was not set up as my boot drive either. Now that it's out of my system, everything works great. Returning for refund, not wasting my time with a 3rd one of these...

Horrible Experience
After installing the drive with a fresh version of Windows, my computer randomly crashed with a BSOD. Tried everything to remedy it to rule out any software related issues, to no avail. Adata tech support was terrible. Tech was unhelpful with an attitude of being bothered by my call. He basically told me to return the SSD without suggesting any possible solutions. I returned the SU760 SSD and purchased a Samsung Evo. The Samsung worked flawlessly, and their migration & utility software is second to none. No more BSOD and couldn't be happier. Spend the extra $10 and you'll save days of grief. Wished I would have went with the Samsung from the start, but at least glad I finally decided on it

Great by - boost performance without breaking the bank!
This is actually my second purchase of one of these guys. You install it, install whatever OS you have for it and it works like a champ! You can also go and download the tools for it from the Adata website and it's even more amazing! Read and write speed are awesome, yes you can get something that goes faster but at some point you're going to have to deal with a bottle neck so for 99% of the planet this is a perfect SSD.
On my older HP laptop I decided it was time to dump the 5400 RPM mechanical HDD and put this bad mamma in it and wow what a difference! BIOS/UEFI loading takes longer than Windows 10 now days. I get all of the way through startup junk in like 5 seconds.
If you're looking to jump your performance for a little investment this is deffinately the way to go. The first of this SSD I dropped into my PC at home that I use for all kinds of things from work to watching videos. Having downsized from a 1TB HDD to this smaller drive I thought I was going to have a hard time but I just used my 1TB as a data store and now I have plenty of room for everything.
I'm certainly a huge fan of these, especially because I'm legally blind and I have to use a screen reader for computers. Usually it took FOREVER to load SuperNova or even NVDA on my laptop but not any more. Even the resource whore screen readers I use load in no time flat.
The only con I can honestly come up with is that when I go and sit at my work computer using a 7200RPM HDD it's sllllllooooooooowwwwwwww-w-w-w and annoying. It takes something near 5 minutes to load Windows and get to my startup screen, then after I login it's another 3-5 minutes for all of the startup junk. Obviously it's not this SSD's fault that other drives perform at a much slower read/write but it is really annoying LoL.

As far as the speed of the drive, it is fast. However, from a boot up perspective, it does not perform. I purchased this drive last year in May. About 6 months into having it, my computer started to freeze. I restarted my computer and it resolved. Ok. About 2 months after it started to freeze, I would close my computer, and put it to sleep. When I would go to wake it, it would not wake. I researched possible remedies. Nothing. So I dealt with it for a while. About March of this year, the drive continued to not wake from sleep (by this time I had resorted to just shutting down the computer and starting it up again) and when I finally did wake it after manually restarted the computer, it would restart itself again. At first, it would just randomly restart itself only once. Then it progressed to multiple restarts, one right after the other. Today, I had had enough, I go to open my computer, log in, start surfing the web, and it randomly restarts restarts twice!!!! One right after the other. This had happened before, but never 2x right after the other. Screen comes up saying that my computer restarted because of a problem as it has every time the computer has restarted. The computer temperature also immediately started increasing. This is unacceptable for a hard drive to perform this way.

Failed in 2 weeks
This product failed in two weeks. Bought it to replace a spinning HDD in a laptop. Took 12 hours to clone the drive (thanks to old school USB 2.0). It worked great for 2 weeks then refused to show up in the BIOS. Did some other troubleshooting with other computers and it never was able to be seen again by other computers. Total piece of junk. Total waste of time for me to transfer the data then have it fail so soon. Fortunately I was still in possession of the old HDD so I could plug it in and use that until I could get a good SSD (thank you Samsung).

Great budget SSD
Great budget SSD!! The 120gb was less than $40
Very fast for a read-intensive situation. I have a conference-room computer that I am using to test these ADATA SP550's. Speed difference going from a mechanical hard disk was immense, but what was surprising is how the computer "felt" vs a Samsung 850 Evo or Intel 535. Feeling was identical for read-intense situations. It has reportedly good endurance, so we shall see how it does over time
This is great for a general use SSD. Intense write speeds are not what this SSD was designed for, if you are looking something that you can punish I would suggest the Samsung 850 Pro, Sandisk Extreme series, or Intel 730 series. Samsung has really bad QA on their firmware so I tend to avoid them for business use. Intel is great as long as you avoid the 540s TLC drive, I would probably buy this ADATA before the Intel 540s...

Great value for the capacity and performance on tap
Drive arrived in excellent condition, was simple to install, and offers more than adequate performance for most typical workloads. Particularly well suited to the majority of productivity and gaming applications, though there will be some drop off in transfer speeds when moving very large files. This is a minor issue, and not something most need to be concerned with- or would even notice. Solid value for the budget oriented buyer who wants to experience SSD performance without breaking the bank.

Adata SSD is great replacement for existing magnetic hard drives. Have 2 now.
This SSD has worked well for me (have 2 of them). I am not sure it is the fastest architecture of the various SSD's available, but the improvement in performance from the replaced HD is impressive. (see ssd reviews for details on architecture). I believe the differences in performance between current generation SSD's to be very small compared to the increase in performance over OEM hard drives.
Adonis cloning SW would not work on one of my notebooks (older Toshiba dog with AMD CPU), and so I needed to buy other cloning SW. Was finally able to get it running. Adonis problem was unfortunate, as the Adonis cloning SW is really easy to use, compared to others. (My problem was that it would not run at all on the old Toshiba Windows 8 machine, not that it gave problems in operation). Other SW is usually more difficult to use, needing to get into details of partitions, etc. When using smaller SSD than existing HD, difficulties arise. Adonis handled this easily on my other Windows 10 i7 machine.
I would have no hesitation at all ordering more of these SSD's, as they work well and are low price. Original worries about low price meaning problems were unfounded.

Nice drive for the money.
I already own an ADATA Flash Dive I bought of off Amazon a long time ago and it's still working fine.
I bought this to install in my desktop to use it as a secondary Drive to default Apps, Pic's Vid's, Doc's too on Win 10.
IT was very easy to install and setup was easy, I just went to Drive Management and formatted the drive to NTSF.
Works great for my Application as a secondary Drive.

Very hot
This SSD has excellent read & write speeds, quick boot up times, and for the price I believe it’s good. The only downside I’ve had is the absurdly high temperatures since I’ve been using it. I’ve had it for about two weeks and the lowest temperature at idle is 68 Celsius. I will be replacing it with a 860 EVO since I can’t trust this thing with my school work with the imminent failure I predict. Peak temperature is 81 Celsius having a Zoom meeting and Chrome open with 1 tab.
Previous SSD 840 PRO 128GB that failed this year after 7 years. It’s peak temperatures were 45 Celsius on the same laptop with way more going on

Not built to last, spend a little more for something that will last!
Very easy to install. Worked fine for about 5 months, now my computer can't even find it when installed internally or when connected with a SATA/USB cable. Had to put my old HDD back in. I guess $50 was too good to be true for a 500GB SSD. I'll probably spend a little more to buy from a more reputable brand. Lasted long enough to be unreturnable as well as unusable.

Great Performance for the $$
Bought this for a new computer build for work. It does appear a bit cheaper on the outside than some other brands, but it is the inside that counts. I had no issues installing this SDD and it worked perfectly on initial startup, took the install of win 7 pro with ease and then the upgrade to windows 10 pro went smoothly as well, so far has been 100% glitch free. I performed a windows performance test on the new PC and the SDD received a score of 7.8 with 7.9 as maximum possible, so obviously it is fast. Considering I paid only $40 for this SDD I am VERY pleased with it so far.

Fast. Like, "fast" needs a new definition!
HO-LEE-COW Batman! Been running it for a year now, and thing thing blows conventional hard drives out of the water! Booting in either Window$ or Linux is ridiculously fast (About 8 seconds once the BIOS has completed POST). Programs load dang near instantaneous. Slow loaders such as GIMP, Blender, Photoshop, etc., fly through their loading screens. And games, oh my word ... talk about fast load times! Lord of the Rings Online: The first load screen seems about the same, maybe a touch faster, but once you are in-game they just fly through. You could almost miss them if you blink. X-plane 9/10: WOW. Blazes through the load screens. Assassin's Creed, 2013 Tomb Raider/Rise of the Tomb Raider load impossibly fast. Certainly worth the cost per gigabyte.

I have an Intel 530 as my os drive and this as my backup media drive. The speed on sata 3 is in line with the stated specs. I've noticed though that when writing files it drops from around 400 to 300, sometimes dipping to 150, then back up. I'm not sure if this is just the limitations of the controller or if it's a Windows 10 thing. Who knows. Aside from that, this ssd has been stable and at $39 I would buy several and use for main drives, backups, or just keep them in the packaging until you need one later on. You never know when you might want an extra pc or to add more space to a home server, etc. I could have bought 4 of these and raided them for the price I paid for my one Intel ssd a few years ago. SSD has to be the best tech upgrade since high speed internet and the original napster came out.

Great for Path of Exile
Always heard good things about ADATA, and am very happy with this purchase. It's worth noting that the drive comes with Acronis True Image, the code for the download is on the actual drive itself so don't forget to get it before you put it in your machine.
I mainly bought this drive for Path of Exile, because I'm playing on a laptop and my 5400 RPM drive would literally make me wait over ONE MINUTE AND THIRTY seconds just to load the game, and then FORTY FIVE SECONDS to ONE MINUTE to load new areas that had not been previously loaded into cache.
With the ADATA SSD, I quite literally load these same areas in like five to six seconds, flat. It makes me wonder if the drive I had before was SATA2, because the performance increase is too good. I load the game now in under ten seconds.

Xbox One Purchase--Super fast
For those interested, I bought this specifically for my xbox one s as external gaming storage because USB 3.1gen1 (5 Gbps) is FAR faster than SATA II (3 Gbps), so installing this as game storage and using a SATA to USB adapter will let your games load much faster, and it is noticeable. Definitely easy to do, just need a SATA to USB adapter, super cheap, and does not require opening the console.

Failed after 3 weeks
Worst ssd I’ve ever purchased. It worked fine for about 3 weeks and then immediately failed and corrupted all of my files and wouldn’t recognize the ssd so I had to buy a new ssd and reinstall windows and all of my apps and drivers. I know that it was the ssd controller that failed because I put it in another pc to test it out and it even that pc didn’t even recognize the ssd. Cheap Chinese controller integrated onto this ssd. Terrible purchase. Buyer beware.

Dead within a month of purchase, replacement died as well
This would be my second SU760 to die on me in less than one month. Yes one month. Don’t waste your time and money. First one got returned for a new one. The replacement died just 2 weeks later.
