Fast... Its a fantastic drive for me.
Fast. Loads windows 10 in less that 8 seconds I'm at my desktop. I bought this because the fallout 4 load times on my old SATA ii array was too slow.
One thing to note is that your SATA controller must be on ahci. I tried to implement this along side a 3 disk RAID and my controller would not cooperate. I couldn't get speeds above 50mb/sec. Controller set as AHCI I got advertised speeds.
I have a gigabyte ga99fxud3 mobo
This drive is a stand alone for OS and any games I'm currently playing and a 3 disk software RAID as extra storage(it's what I ended up having to do. Not the SSD's fault).

Dead after 5 months
Started showing stuttering while playing games for about 2 months and then eventually died with just 5 months of use

I can't believe this was the most affordable drive
Was the cheapest option at the time of purchase. I did my research anyway and good things were said, so I expected a lot. I was impressed. Very fast. Boot up on a cheap little i3 laptop with this drive is now way faster then my i7 macbook pro with an OWC SSD. It's not a PCIe drive so there are faster alternatives, but not for this price. It's a low capacity drive. Hopefully you understand that not all 120GB of that is going to be usable and you also will lose about 20GB to the OS, updates, temp files, etc. If you want a small fast drive, buy this. You'll be happy.

SSD is the way to go!
The SSD came with a CD tor transferring the data to the new SSD. I was surprised and how fast the data transferred. I watch on you tube and on TEAK said it to about 60 Min or more. The transfer took less than 10 Minutes. Another thing that is amazing is how much faster the computer starts up. After I put in the code it goes straight to the home page and it read to go, no down time waiting.

WOW...what value for such a quality prouct!!
Bought 4 of these of different sizes and am very happy with the speed increase in my 4 machines. This one was for a Win7 desktop computer. Such a great value compared to other brands!! Only challenge is to understand how to download and install the Acronis migrating software. Without it, it's very challenging and almost impossible to clone. I eventually gave up trying to figure it out on my own without success and wrote to tech support and they got back back to me within 24 hrs a long detailed (and I consider necessary) email with excellent instructions. Once I was able to download and install the Acronis, everything went smoothly after that.

Failed at first (and second) attempt
I bought this drive to replace a 5400rpm WD drive on a Lenovo G51-35 laptop. After installing Win10 and drivers, the system crashed and displayed a message that the boot mgr file is missing. I tried replacing the memory, and reinstalled the OS but the same thing happened again. I put back the original drive and ran some benchmarks and no problems were found. Its possible that this drive is not compatible with my laptop, but that seems a bit strange, It could also very possible be that this drive is faulty.

Over heating issues opted not to keep the drive
Solid state drive gave me overheating issue.
Checked it with Crystal disk info
Gave me red hot heat indicator but it did not crash my system I just don't know if there would be a problem so I opted not to keep it from running

90 Day Life Span Unacceptable
This hard drive was a replacement for the same exact model that lasted about a month the first time, so I should have learned. This one lasted 3 months in the same Dell laptop before dying. Now it's just stuck in the endless "windows repair" loop and will not boot.
I'm sure somebody makes an SSD which will last more than 90 days, but it sure ain't Adata.

Great drive at a great price
The subject line says it all. This drive works very well and really speeds up my computer compared to the regular drive I had before. Arrived sooner than I expected, which is another bonus. Not the first ADATA drive I've purchased so they must be doing something right for me to buy another.

One of my favorite brands
I bought this not for gaming, but my wife’s work laptop. I got her a Lenovo T430 and I upgraded the screen and HDD with this SSD. Took all day to image the drive off of the identical sized HDD. But worth the wait.

Strange problem
I don't know why it's not ready to save my 15 gb video programs ,despite empty disc it's shows message that too large file ,why so?,well I tried pdf and other files that work is done but video's why not?strange would want the team to help me out in this issue

Great solution for an upgrade
Got this SSD as an upgrade for a 6 years old Acer TimelineX 4820TG. Replaced the 500GB Western Digital HDD, installed system on SSD, the laptop just flies !!! Put the old HDD in a HDD Caddy and switched the optical drive with it. Laptop works great, no problems so far. Battery life (9 cell battery) compared to previous configuration hadn't changed at all at first glance.
The ADATA SP550 SSD is very slim, actually 7mm in thickness (not a standard 9mm profile) therefore the package includes a plastic self adhesive part (2mm) to make the SSD compatible with 9mm bays. So far everything works excellent. Unfortunately it works in SATA 2 mode on this particular laptop which correspondingly gives slower speed compared to SATA 3 (which is not supported by my laptop), but overall boot time from SSD is MUCH faster than from HDD, aproximately 20 s (tested on Windows 10 & 7).
I am very pleased with my choice so far! Great value for the price!

File transfer seems to be pretty fast, and the battery life gets a little ...
I chose the ADATA SP550 because it was a little cheaper than the other SSDs I was looking at. My install was in a 2009 Macbook, and it made such a huge difference with everything. Opening apps, folders, files; everything is just fast. I had zero problems installing the drive, or having the Macbook recognize it. File transfer seems to be pretty fast, and the battery life gets a little boost (but not much).
Don't let the price fool you, this SSD will speed up your laptop or tower tremendously at a great value.

Buy it, you won't regret it.
I have been buying Adata for years, good price for the space. I have had an older 512 in my rig as a scratch drive for 3-4 years now. This particular one is replacing a 60 gb i installed 4 years ago for a customer on a budget.

WAY Better than an HDD
I bought this to replace a failed hard drive in my laptop, and I am very impressed with it. The speeds are a lot better than my old drive, and I still have just as much space. Installation was easy on my laptop, a Lenovo Y50, and I didn't even have to dig up my windows product key. There is no noise coming from the drive, as was the case with the HDD, and the speeds are very much improved. One weird obeservation was that this drive actually made my laptop magnetic, but that doesn't seem to be affecting performance at all.

Dell Inpsiron 1720 w/Win7 Home 32 bit now boots in under 22 seconds! Excellent!
Replaced 5400 rpm old drive in a Dell Inspiron 1720 (1.5 GHz Intel Dual Core Processor w/3 GB RAM and Win7 Home 32 Bit). Wow! What a Difference! Boot time is now is reduced to 20 - 22 seconds from over a minute with the 5400 rpm old hard drive. The old portable now has a new life. Programs load a little faster and overall the computer should give a few more years of good service. Personally, replacing the old mechanical drives is one of the lowest cost investments for rejuvenating an older computer that still has some life in it.

Great for MacBook Pro's pre-retina.
So, I bought this drive as a catch-all drive for laptops around my shop. Currently it's sitting in a 2011 15" MacBook Pro. Using some internal and third party benchmarks, it performs as well as and even better than the Apple branded SSD's I have. 240GB isn't bad considering the entire OS takes up about 7-12GB, leaving you with a tonnage of space.
Make sure you either enable TRIM or download the third party application to keep your drive performing beautifully under OS X.

NOT the quality SSD you want!! Garbage!!
I have purchased over 10 of these for business. They ALL install the new os in approx 4 hours! A normal ssd installs in literally half the time. The performance is lack luster at best. If your anything like and want to use a quality value ssd.....THIS iS NOT the one for you! I recommend a wd nas red ssd or a Samsung qvo ssd. This ssd also does not work with some earlier chipsets. It just won’t boot at all

A great drive, I'll get an ADATA SP550 480GB next.
A good SSD, fast and at a reasonable price. My processor temp even went down and everything is quicker. The HDD speed went from 5.9, running a 1TB 3.5" Barracuda to 7.6 on the Windows rating score. I installed it on a Rosewill 2.5" SSD/HDD mounting kit with a 60mm fan to keep it cool. I'll use the same configuration when I buy the SP550 480GB and use that for running games and CAD software.

Basically it is a hard drive that I hope lasts for several years
Hard drive in my HTPC went out after two years and added this to ensure longevity. Running for a few months, not an issue, but looking at several years to say the least. Everything that I have read about solid state drives is that they last quite awhile and give plenty of warnings when going bad. If you get a bad one, it shows early and this one seems to be a good one. Again, everything I have read is that a bad one is pretty rare as with a typical hard drive.
