I've been waiting to get one of these for ages for my Gaming PC, now that I got it it's absolutely worth the upgrade in anyway thinkable.Pros:Fast, smooth and flawless 120HZ.Fast boot up speed, no delay for the 120HZ to start up.Doesn't take up as much space at all, thinner than it looks.They include the all the cords needed and an extra HDMI, always good to have.Cons:The stand cannot rotate.The screen is very dull, it's matte. Doesn't have any shine in it.NOTE: You cannot you an HDMI Cord for the 120HZ, you need to hook up the Dual-DVI Cord that they included. There is no visual quality difference between the two, not a big deal at all.NOTE: Console gamers beware, you cannot use this monitor for 120HZ. Your consoles do not have the drivers needed. I've tried on both my Xbox 360 and PS3, it's non-existent.I'd recommend this to any PC Gamer with a computer that can achieve over 60FPS in any game. Even if you don't, it's still a cleaner and more future proof solution.

pros: huge difference when in 2d running in 120 hz - games look more crisp and realisticmine arrived right on time with no dead pixelsstellar performance in 3d a must have for gamerscons: people complain about the stand I was a bit put off by the X style since its found on lower end Acers but its adds a bit of flair to the overall look of the monitor in my case wont matter since I'm buying two more and mounting them on a triple monitor stand. I found its no more wobbly than any other monitor I've owned - a lil bit of wobble is good since it dissipates any vibrations and keeps it from falling over get a solid heavy desk I sayIve read that earlier models had some issues I would only buy new monitors because of this no refurbished/used for mecant wait to add two more and go triple screen 3d with two 460s If you are on the fence as I was dont be - just spend the money (300+ is a big hit for a monitor) you wont regret it be sure to get nvidia 3dvision glasses also

When I first learned that I HAD to get a 120hz monitor I was not a happy guy. When I saw the prices for these things I almost fell over. I have an Acer monitor very close to this size and it was nowhere near the price. Please keep in mind I'm only griping about how I didn't plan to get another monitor. When I got the unit the first thing that got me was on how fast I got it I was impressed. Plugged it in and did the setups and it looked awesome! I have an Alienware M17x laptop and the colors and detail is great on that one but this baby blew that display away. I found it funny that the stand design is very close to the Alienware monitor that is out now. The look of the display matches well with my setup. Watching 3D movies and games on this display is something to be seen. So rich in color and detailed in graphics, it is a fantastic display.

Out of the box the monitor has a great deal of artificial sharpening that makes text looks terrible. You can however disable the added sharpening by turning off the overdrive setting in the service menu (disabling it also reduces input lag). Disabling overdrive though causes the monitor to revert to 100% brightness every time it's powered on or returns from sleep mode. This wouldn't be a problem at all except that on 100% brightness it is as bright as a nuclear blast, so you're forced to reduce the brightness every single time you sit down to use your computer. Unfortunately this was a deal breaker for me, so I had to return it. Hopefully Acer will take the time to test next year's model before they ship it out.

I can't go back to using anything else at all. Make sure you have a nice, smooth mouse, as well a rig that can push out >120 FPS on most games. Even my SLI 570's can't do that for Crysis, though. Changing brightness is easy, with four presets and one user changeable (I leave that at minimum brightness for at night). The screen is a very pleasing matte, and the colors are great. You change it to 120 Hz in the advanced screen resolution settings in Windows 7.

This monitor handles my gaming very well. I mostly play on a 40" plasma but when I go out to lan parties the clarity and responsiveness makes it very bearable. Haven't been able to check out the 3D on it yet, but have read plenty of reviews complimenting it generously. It is Nvidia 3D ready so make sure if you want 3D you get 3D ready GPU.

The screen is nice, looks good and when using dual link dvi it does 120hz as advertised, only does 75 hz with hdmi though. My issue is the quite loud buzzing sound it emits when running it at 120hz. It's fine at 60, but then I could have bought a $150 monitor. Returning it.

I have had this monitor for about two months now without any problems what so ever *knock on wood* the 120hz refresh rate is worth the money alone for this monitor, Any game i play weather it being a new game or a older game they all run great with vsync. I have actually never been able to use vsync untill this monitor. The 1920x1080 resolution and 120hz refresh rate make all my games look very crisp and smooth. This monitor has different modes, such as Graphics, Movie, User, Standard, and ECO. Now for the best part of this monitor the Steroscopic 3D! This monitor looks very awesome in 3D, I use the Nvidia 3D Vision setup i could not ask for a better 3D viewing experience weather it's a video game or a 3D Bluray movie it looks amazing. I also thought about buying two more of these monitors for the Nvidia surround setup, but this monitor is plenty big enough for me the 23.6" is enough to keep yours eyes busy. Thank you Amazon for the outstanding service, And thank you Acer for such a great product.

This monitor works great, better than imagined. The 3d effect are perfect , the resolution has no issues whatsoever 120hz running in 1920x1600 resolution.Only downside i found was a little compatibily problem when using hdmi, but that was with my video card not the monitor. I'm thinking of buying a second one

Just make sure to turn off the sharpness filter ("Acer Overdrive" or "OD" - search the web to find out how to disable it). After that it looks great and the 3D is good.

Hi,I just got this, and let me tell you is an awsome monitor, Size, looking and 3d is awsome good with this LCD.Sadly mine came with 2 Pixels dead, one always is green and the other one is black, I read warranty and says it have to be more than 4 pixels IN THE SAME PLACE to become a valid warranty claim. Ok this is not a big issue anyway, 2 dots dont make a huge diferences, they are just annoying.2 weeks later, The monitor start having other issues, only half screen turns on, or it become a full green screen and doesnt change, you need to turn it off and on again until it works.Im starting the warranty process to see what happens at the endThey told me it was normal since this LCD's are 120Hz you need to let them warm up sometimes is what they told me.I hope this dont ends in a square pieces of garbage broken and unable to claim to anyone.If this issues still being fixed by turning off and on the monitor, I guess I can deal with it, but I didnt paid the amount of money this babies cost to deal with this...Shouldnt be that way.Im gladly open to any help you can give me.

I lucked out and got this beauty on sale for just over $300.....a savings of over $70 from everywhere else! I bought this monitor to give my PC the ability to display 3D using nVIDIA's 3D Vision kit (also purchased through Amazon). The monitor I was replacing was an Acer X233H, so I really didn't notice a big change in screen size. But with this monitor having a 120 Hz refresh rate the images are crisper and graphics look beautiful (and that's when viewing in 2D)! Works great with the 3D kit, although using the 3D glasses cuts the brightness factor by about 1/2, so you will need to up the gamma level (if possible) when playing games in 3D or adjust the monitor brightness level. Can't wait till more movies are available in 3d Blu-ray, although that will mean getting a Blu-ray DVD ODD for my PC (and maybe a projector since there are so many that are compatible with the nVIDIA 3D system). I was debating between this monitor and the Alienware 3D monitor, but getting this one for just over $300 vs getting the Alienware for $500.....well the Acer seemed like the way to go, and believe me, it definitely was. Nothing against the Alienware, but saving a couple of hundred dollars sealed the deal. Even at its regular price of $370 this would be a great monitor to have if you are a gamer or considering going to 3D on your PC.

I just received this monitor and was a little aprehensive when I got it, since the packaging was a little beat up. But I opened it up and found everything was present and hooked it up. This is a beautiful monitor. The images are crystal clear and not a single dead pixel. The refresh rate is amazing for gaming, no lag. I highly recommend this monitor.

I've had this about a month now. The screen is large, and the display is BEAUTIFUL. I thought some previous reviews said there was no vertical or tilt adjustment. No, I don't find a vertical adjustment, but it absolutely does tilt. Multiple cables included - everything I needed was in the box. Every time I turn it on I smile. What more do you want than that?I got the Nvidia 3D glasses, and hooked it all up to a new Alienware Aurora R3. The 3D gaming is really cool. In 2D the resolution is eye-popping. This is WAY better than my previous "standard" monitor.Very nice monitor. Very happy with it.

I love this monitor so much I now own 3 of them and have set up a NVIDIA surround 3d experience together for myself. It's a great monitor for 2d use as well and everyday browsing.There was a buzzing sound(only in 120mz) but it has gone away since I've tightened up my connections in the back of the monitor. It's a bit pricey still but honestly it's worth it for a movie theatre like 3d experience.

I just get mine today and honestly is one of the bes monitor's that i been seen to play videogames.The contrast is awesome and the colors perfect, have some issues with the 3D config but once you got it looks spectacular.Have less gosthing than the Asus.I recommend this monitor.

Good price. Works extremely well. Very nice appearance. The color of the stand make it look very space-age, which is appropriate for gaming. I bought one for my son for his 3-D setup. It worked so well, I then bought one for my setup.

This monitor is really worth the buy! Compared to my old Acer 19" the colors are richer and the screen is brighter (although if thats not your thing then you can adjust it with the settings). This is the way to go if you don't want to spend a whole paycheck for the alien ware monitor... which the only difference is the look, settings buttons, and its just a tad brighter than this monitor, BUT!.... its not worth a few hundred more dollars just for a tad brighter screen.

I bought this screen recently, and i can tell you, it's terrific. The image is awesome, the size is perfect and it didn't come with any dead pixels or anything. I couldn't try the 3D vision because I haven't purchase the 3d vision kiy yet, but I can assure that this is a great monitor for 2D vision at least, and the possibility of 3D is exciting, I think it's worth it.And I have to thank Amazon for my purchase, because it's the only place where I could get it with an international card, without being discriminated. My time was very limited but the shipping arrived right on time, so i don't have any complains at all.
