Pixels:I've been waiting for a pixel to burn out. I fear that from any monitor I buy because I'm sensitive to it. And I do a lot of graphic design so that is a must. I've had to deal with the warrenty mess once before from another brand. But so far it's held up.I've been 'cooking' it since I got it, by leaving in on for 24+ hours just to test for any bad pixels. Still holding up at the time of this posting.Multi Use:I have dual inputs going. PC using DVI and Play Station 3 on HDMI.I'm able to switch between the two by pressing a single button. And even better, when the PS3 is turned off, it auto switches to the next avaiable signal, my pc. Saving me a button press. Peftect.3D Vision:I also use Nvidia 3D Vision for work applications, games, etc.It works. And of course it should. I've used 3D for awhile so it's nothing special. But I have noticed a bit of a flicker at times if I'm too close to the monitor, something I never got with the old CRT monitor setups.I think that is more on Nvidia's side than the monitor itself. Maybe even my GTX260 graphics card I'm using because it is a bit old now and may not be up to par anymore. But it does the job.I've messed with the refresh rates and it didn't seem to change much. But it also depends on the application or game used. So that could be the factor as well. I will notice it a lot in brighter areas. For example when your looking up at the sky in a game. It's also along the sides of the screen, and never directly where your looking. So if i'm looking on the right side, the left will seem to flicker a bit. But like I said, still works and depends on the application. From what I understand the PS3 I have hooked up can also do 3D gaming. I haven't tried this yet. Not sure how that would work given the emitter is hooked to the pc, not the PS3. But I haven't looked that up yet.Dual Monitors:I also have dual monitors hooked up to my PC. My second is also an Acer brand, a bit older, but has never given me any trouble. I was expecting some type of conflict between having dual monitors, a PS3 hookup, 3D vision running on one but not the other. But it's all worked fine.Wall Mount, Jacks, & Hookups:There are some monitors that have jacks pointing directly out, causes and issue with some wall mounts. This one is straight down. Harder to find at first when you hook things up, but gives a cleaner setup with wall mounting.Pixel Edges:Along the edges of the screen the pixels do fade a bit into a blue spectrum. It's only noticable with a black background. With the exception of the bottom right. It's nothing I can't deal with. And isn't noticable to most people that took a look. But with graphic design work it can be annoying if your picky about that. I have a feeling the area on bottom right has something to do with the power light. The blue tint is stronger near the power button which is also that exact same shade of blue. It may be that the light is sneaking up into the screen a bit. Again it's not noticable unless you look closely. This also depends on your view angle. I see it more when viewing off to the side.Overall this is a great monitor for the price.

I ordered this monitor twice. The first time the monitor would die 10 minutes after running. So I said okay that was fine it was refurbished I taken a gamble. They would not let me replace the monitor at all but make me do a refund... So I would have to pay shipping 2 times for their mistake of sending me a bad monitor in the first place. On top of everything the 2nd monitor works great.. They sent me a dvi-i cable not a dvi-d cable.. Who ever returned the monitor to them before must have got a quick one off them. But now I dont have a dvi-d cable which should have came with this product because I can not pull a true 120 hrz refresh rate without a dvi-d cable a dvi-i cable will only pull 60 hrz. This is unacceptable... If your looking to gamble on a working product and then have to pay for shipping multiple times because they sent you a product that doesn't work or the very least send you the correct cables to make the product function properly as intended. Thanks to this copany I have had to spent 35.00 dollars extra that I shouldn't had to. I could of bought a brand new monitor for the same price If I knew it was going to give me all this trouble... Thanks alot. When I was transferred to their technician he argued with me trying to make me feel like I was dumb when I told him you can NOT pull 120 hrz with a HDMI cable. He was like I worked here 20 years and your probally some person who works at geek squad. (which i used to) BUT.... here you go tech read this articale shine it up real nice turn that son of a ***** sideways and shove it directly up your candy ***. GG...proof that you can not pull 120 hrz with hdmi:[...]

I have had this monitor for a few months and I am shipping it back.At first I was stoked, hooked it up, and in the windows display settings it showed 120hz, it was so white and bright and awesome looking.. then I started gamming/watching movies with it.. now to give it credit, bright games/movies and fast moving FPS games where awesome on this.. very smooth. But the back light bleeding on this thing is just aweful! Lots of try this and try that tricks in forums and nothing worked :-(And in darker games the light bleed is always there and its bad, very bad, even worse if you like to play at night with little or no light in the room. (Just about made Saints Row the 3rd unplayable, batman was bad too.. GW2 if you like the gamma dark was effected too, just to name a few games..)And in some movies, if it has a very dark screen, the light bleed shows.Sad to say I had high hopes for this monitor, thinking I might get good 120hz on the cheep, and if maybe all you do is text (I do programming, and I do admit Visual Studio sure looked good and was bright) or FPS only type games.. this might be for you.. but if you like dark games/movies.. maybe not so much.Note; as I have a 3d monitor (passive) I got this as it was on sale under the 200 buck mark and I have been looking for a fast 120hz screen for a long time. So my review is only on the 2d functions of the monitor.

This monitor looks amazing! Colors pop in a way they never did before, and due to the high refresh rate, I no longer have to use v-sync in games to prevent screen tearing! I have a fairly high-end setup, but Crysis 3 was DRAGGING on the 'Ultra' settings (more than just screen tearing). I hooked up this monitor and bumped it back up to 'Ultra', disabled v-sync, and it runs as smooth as you could ever want! I don't care what anyone says; Going from 60hz to 120hz REALLY makes a difference in gaming. There is some minor light-bleed along the bottom edge when very dark images are displayed, but I honestly don't think I would have noticed it if I hadn't been looking for it based on some complaints in other reviews. Definitely not bad enough to remove a star. I have a 3-monitor setup, the other two being fairly decent Acer monitors (though 60hz) and I'm thinking of buying two more of these to replace them! It looks that good (and I want to enable Surround gaming). I do suggest turning the brightness down a bit, maybe adjusting the color settings to suit your preferences, but other than that, it's pretty much just plug-n-go.

Backstory: I bought this monitor as a precursor to my new gaming rig. I was interested in 3D gaming on my PC, so I started looking into possible setups. I decided on a monitor that used Nvidia's form of 3d since AMD's system still does not take advantage of multiple cards to boost 3D performance. I was quite interested in Alienware's monitor at first, but the price made it hard to commit. Then I found this monitor. The specs looked good, and the price was low enough to take a chance on.The monitor: I like it. I've had a number of displays in my time, and this one is giving me the nicest images since my old Gateway LP2407. Certainly better than the Dell monitors I've tried recently, even the supposedly "good" ones. Despite being a cheaper panel, the color modulation from different angles is very minimal. I'm also a graphic artist, besides a gamer. And nothing irks me like a display where the corners look different from the middle as I try to paint. Out of the box, the monitor was way overly vivid, but comes with decent calibration software that toned things back well enough. Also, the monitor comes with an HDMI, VGA, and Dual-DVI cord, which is pretty generous considering it is a "low cost" entry. I haven't received my new rig with the 3d kit yet, but I will update this when I do. So far though, this is a very good monitor at a good price. No frills, but I'd rather save $200 and buy a separate usb hub or speakers.IMPORTANT: You can only get the full 120hz refresh rate from your computer if you are connecting to the monitor via the Dual-DVI cord. I had to google that one to figure it out. So HMDI is out if you want the full she-bang out of this monitor.Pros: Low price, nice picture, 120hz, all cords come with boxCons: takes a bit to calibrate, no frills

A good 120hz monitor. Has back light bleed. The bottom of the screen is forever engulfed in a soft blue tint. I don't use the 3d functionality, I only got this monitor as an entry level 120hz gaming monitor. For the functions that I use this monitor for, I am satisfied. I feel like for 250$ I got a good deal. The only other serious competitors for this product cost 380$ or more, if you cannot afford that and can deal with a blue tint on the bottom part of the screen (imagine it is a normal display with a blue led bar just below the bottom of the screen) then I recommend this product.A final note, if you can get 120+ fps in all the games you like to play, there is a noticeable difference between 60hz and 120hz. It is ten times as noticeable when you try to go back to a 60hz monitor for gaming. If you only get ~60-90 fps then there is no reason to upgrade and the games might even look worse because of the way the monitor will compensate for lacking the full 120fps.

This monitor is about as inexpensive as a 3D ready 120 hz monitor is going to get. With shutter glasses it produces nice vibrant 3D images. in 2D gaming graphics mode it is bright and the color is good, only lacking slight in the blacks, which can appear a little lighter than they should. For someone looking to get into 3D graphics on a budget, this monitor combined with an nVidia 450GS or better and nVidia glasses is about is cheap as it is going to get (Approx $450 for all at the time of this review).Pros:- Inexpensive 3D Solution (120 hz).- nVidia 3D Vision endorsed monitor almost guarantees it will work with nVidia 3D Shutter glasses and video cards.- Full HD 1920 x 1080 in a sizable 24 inch screen.- Bright clear image and good, vibrant color.Cons:- Uses CCFL (Cold Compact Fluorescent Lamps) instead of the brighter and more energy efficient LED that newer LCD displays typically use these days.- Has slightly noticable light bleed where parts of the image being displayed are dark or should be black.

I have had this monitor for several days now and it is an amazing piece of equipment to look at. I bought this monitor for mostly playing PC games and the quality is amazing. The colors are extremely vibrant and crisp with the ability to give you 120 frames per second with a 2 millisecond response time. I am using a EVGA GeForce GTX 560 Ti Superclocked 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express 2.0 Graphics Card - Lifetime Warranty 01G-P3-1563-AR and run a Dual DVI cable straight out of it into the monitor. If your video card is not capable of running games at this rate, no problem, the 2 ms response time will make up for what a video card may not be able to perform. I was worried about the mixed reviews on this monitor and decided to just go with it anyways. The "bad" reviews you see here on amazon and newegg.com would be worry some and the life expectancy is unknown at this time. But what I do know is that most people do not read the manuals on things anymore and there is something specific that you may want to take into consideration when operating this monitor... You MUST power on the monitor first before you turn on your computer. "this sequence is very important" is exactly what the quick start guide says. I'm not sure what the consequences of mishandling this sequence are but I am sure that repetitive misuse of this procedure could jeopardize the life, quality, and viewing experience of this computer monitor and may be the source of these mixed reviews we see.I won't comment on the 3D aspect of this monitor because I do not have the nvidia 942-10701-0003-004 3D Vision Wireless Glasses Kit yet. I will soon get those and experience the full capacity of this amazing monitor.

This is, in my opinion, the best current option for a gamer looking for a 120hz monitor. Until the 2013 lines are released, I'd recommend this. As some have stated there is a possibility to get a lemon (or one with the buzzing issue), but as that is a manufacturer defect and considering this will go through Amazon's fantastic customer service, I believe you will be taken care of.The picture quality of course being wonderful with its clean crisp 1080p resolution and native 120hz. The current lack of other options in 120hz monitors brings me to select this one. I have not used the 3d feature yet but I'm excited to try it. The manufacturer specs are true to their word. The only issue I have is that the monitor setting screen is a little difficult to navigate with the buttons on the screen(feel backwards). Other than that it is a wonderful product.I will update with any issues that may arise.

Purchased one of these monitors, and it looked great! Initially. Flipped over to 3D mode, and there was a large bright area on the lower right of the screen. Thought it might be the cable, so bought another one. No-go. So I exchanged it for another. Same issue, though not as pronounced. So, pretty useless for 3D. Returned for a refund. Trying this passive ASUS one next:[...]I do have to say I love dealing with Amazon when it comes to product issues. No questions asked exchange and refund (besides a description of the problem), with prepaid shipping label for both. It's as convenient as buying from a local store, but much cheaper. 1 star for the product, but 5 stars for Amazon!

Bought this to upgrade my Acer 19". It's a great improvement - 1080i HD, 120 Hz and 3D ready. Paired it up with my Acer Aspire AX1920 and a Gigabyte GT620 Nvidia video card = End result in a great system, for gaming and/or general use. Playing the game - World of Tanks, I get 75-95 fps (average) and a ping around 65-80. Perfect size for my desk and it has a vesa mount for those who prefer wall or arm mounting.Excellant picture, crystal clear and vivid.Comes with all the cables and not too difficult to setup with the proper video card. You do need to use the dual-link DVI for full resolution and capabilities of this monitor.Compared to other brands in this size and price range - This is the best monitor I found. Pro's - All the above and then some. Con's - None found yet.Overall, this is an excellent monitor and I would highly recommend it.(Enough said, time for a coffee refill and onto the gaming world)

I received the monitor from Amazon the other day, but I was too busy to instal it in my computer until today. I have a great computer that I build myself and it has a great Nvidia video card for 3D. This monitor is simply beautiful. The resolution, the colors, the widescreen picture are great to look at. The 3D performance in games and movies is out of this world using the Nvidia 3D Vision system. I am extremely happy with this purchase and the super low price that Amazon has for this monitor. Guys, get it while you can because Acer is replacing it with another monitor more expensive and not compatible with Nvidia 3D Vision. Buy it from Amazon while they have it in stock, you will be very happy.

The monitor stays on for about 2 seconds, long enough to display the ACER logo, and if you have a computer plugged in it will display the startup splash for a brief moment. Then you can see the backlight turn off, and then nothing. The blue power light stays lit, my computer recognizes another monitor is plugged in.I tried, HDMI and DVI. Tried multiple sources (computer, ps3, cable box) and all of them same thing... 2 seconds of the acer logo and then it turns off. Pressing any of the buttons does nothing.Documentation of this product is horrid. The disk that comes with the monitor wont auto launch the manual on windows8, it gives an error and crashes, you must browse for it manually. The ADM software wont install because it says it needs IE7 or higher, and IE in windows 8 is certainly higher than that.I am returning to get a refund, along with the 3,000$ worth of computer components. I am scared to see what else is DOA and do not want to deal with it at all. Will never buy an ACER again, too many bad memories.

Acer's manual and marketing details state the monitor has a 2ms response time, however I see ranges from 9-17ms from my testing. Their manual doesn't state weather this measurement is for white->back->white or grey-to-grey, so I tested both.I also tested "display lag" and saw numbers from 11-22ms depending on weither v-sync waiting was turned on or not. My methodology was to use a 1000 fps video camera and a micro-controller hooked up to the PC. The PC would trigger a light on the micro-controller and simultaneously present a new frame of data to the monitor. Using the recorded video footage I could measure the time between when the micro-controller light turned on and the monitor initially displayed the first scan line of new data. I could also see when the full display was updated with new frame data. I used 1080p resolution at 120hz for testing and 127/255 gray levels for g2g. My video card was Nvidia GTX 480. More specific timings:no-vsync white->black->white/2 = 13ms averageno-vsync white->gray->white/2 = 14ms averagevsync white->black->white/2 = 10.6ms averagevsync white->gray->white/2 = 11.2ms average

This monitor worked for about 5 minutes once I'd hooked it up to a GTX260 via dual link dvi. Then, the screen went blank and wouldn't show anything. The power button remained on. I tried several power cycles. If I turned off the display in windows, then turned it back on, the monitor would show the picture for 3 seconds....then go back to black. I googled and found this is a defect that is common with the model. You wouldn't know unless you knew what problem to google. I tried different drivers, cables, operating systems. It's the monitor. Sent back for a refund the same day I got it. Oh, and while I was waiting for it I missed the cyber monday deals on other monitors. Perfect.

I've had this monitor for a year and a half now. The first one I got had severe graphics issues (one side of the screen was pink). Amazon was terrific about cross-shipping me a new one.So once I got a working model, I noticed a slight buzz, especially when browsing the web on whiter pages. Over the last year, the buzz has reached an unbearable level and I'm now in the market for a new monitor.Aside from the sound, it's great in 2D. In 3D, it's ok but the ghosting/cross talk issue present in just about any 3D setup these days is pretty bad compared to one of the higher end 120hz/144hz monitors.

I have had this monitor for almost a couple years now. It is still working and performs well on video games (which is why it gets 2 stars), but this cannot play DVDs without an extremely distracting red and green ghosting that appears on the silhouettes of moving objects.I have read a few complaints from others who have this monitor and so am not the only one. It certainly is not my GPU (my graphic cards are worth over $1,000 and my drivers are current) which means that the problem lies with this product. I wish I was warned before buying this... but now I can at least pass on a warning to others.Unless you like to have the immersion of movies killed by red and green scribbles around moving objects (or you never watch movies on your computer) then it would be a bad idea to buy this.As a side note, it came with several dead pixels (which is another known issue) but they disappeared over the years and now all the pixels are working. However, I would still prefer a dozen broken pixels to the red and green scribbles. It's to the point that I can't bear to watch the screen anymore and have recently switched to audiobooks for entertainment!

I bought this monitor simply to pair it up with the nVidia 3D vision gaming. I considered the following to upgrade my 22" Samsung 206BW -* Samsung 2233 3D monitor - too expensive and only 1 DVI input* Viewsonic 3D monitor - too expensive and only 1 DVI input* Alienware 3D monitor - way too expensiveI needed something to hook up my Xbox360 and PC to and play in 3D. This was the answer for $100 more than the Samsung/Viewsonic and totally worth it - you get FULL HD resolution - 1920x1080 [ vs 1680x1050 from Samsung/Viewsonic ], you get 24" ( 23.6" technically ) [ vs 22" ], you get 3 ( yes, THREE ! ) inputs [ 1 dual-link DVI, 1 HDMI and 1 VGA vs 1 DVI from Samsung/Viewsonic ], PLUS an audio out cable so you can send the HDMI audio signal to good external speakers, AND it has external controls for all settings, unlike the Samsung/Viewsonic so its easy to adjust. All this means, the Acer is a phenomenal value over the Samsung/Viewsonic anyday if you need more than 1 Input. After I repartitioned my Linux to make space for Windows 7 and I got grub2 going again to boot up Win XP, Win 7 and Linux, I tried out the monitor in each of the 3 environments. Its got a problem in Linux when switching virtual consoles. If you stick with the X-console ( the VC that runs the Xserver ), you will be fine, but switch to one of the other VC's and X locks up. I'm using the latest nvidia drivers from the restricted repo in Ubuntu. However, it works quite well at 1920x1080. The colors are crisp and vivid, however, unless you adjust the settings a bit, the text can be bit small/fuzzy. A little Xconfig ( via nvidia control ) tweaking and it looked great. I think it looked better than my 22" Samsung and I had great real estate. Easily fits 3 terminals side by side. !!!Then tried WinXP and it worked great too at 1920x1080. Just ensure ClearType LCD effect is on and fonts render crisp and sharp. Gaming response was terrific ( 2ms ) but I already had 2ms gaming before. No ghosting. Then, I finally tried out the piece de la resistance - Windows 7 with 3-D glasses. Win 7 looked amazing ( the wallpaper looked breathtakingly good ) and installed the 3D stereo driver. After calibration, the first image popped up of Burnout and it looked PHENOMENAL. I was simply blown away. I did game in 3D almost 10 years ago on my eDimensional 3D glasses with CRT back then and after a decade, I was seeing 3D at home again !!! WHAT A FEELING... 3D is the future. Its just .... incredible. Its gotta be seen to believe it. Anyone thinking its a gimmick, well, you don't know what you're missing out. Too bad. Now, mind you, nothing pops 'out' of the screen. i.e. nothing crosses your screen boundary. You get an immense sense of depth - like you're looking out a window with objects correctly positioned in front and behind. In effect, your screen feels like it goes beyond for a huge distance. Also, there's a few seconds of screen going blank as the display switches to 120Hz and when it switches back.I tried out the picture packs and some demo videos ( which didn't play for some reason even though I tried out the nvidia stereo player. I think its because it can only be 3D in full screen mode because refresh rate has to be 120Hz whereas in window mode, you can't have that ). I tried out Half Life: Portal and it looked AWESOME in 3D. The portals took on a whole new life.I don't think however, you can game for more than an hour or two at most in 3D. Its somewhat taxing on the brain. ( which is a good thing btw ). Also, you're stuck with nVidia and the few 120Hz LCD monitors but this isn't a drawback at all. Its bad for the market, but good for them.In conclusion - this ACER monitor is a good buy and I wholly recommend it. 5/5 stars.

Tried correction on the color and gamma but still has lots issues. I could only said that It's a TN panel..(however u could get an IPS panel around less than 200..) I got the GD235HZ to use with my NVidia 3D Vision setup on my main computer. I use the monitor with the dual DVI input, I haven't tried the HDMI or other inputs. I use it for both 3D, and as a second display (my primary is a 30" monitor). The monitor does the main thing I got it for convincingly: the 3D display is reasonably bright while using it in 3D mode with the NVidea 3D Vision. It's also decent in non-3D mode, and the resolution is reasonable (full HD, 1920 x 1080).For the price, I had hoped this would be a great monitor. Instead, I find it only OK for several reasons.1) As other reviewers have mentioned, the monitor stand doesn't have adjustable height. It sits pretty low on the desk, well below the ergo recommendation of having the top edge even with my eyeline. This is unacceptable IMO.2) The buttons to configure the mointor seem to be designed to be unobtrusive, but I find they're a little hard to hit, and the menus themselves a bit unintuitive.3) Occasionally the monitor gets confused and shows the left half or the right half of the screen completely black. The video card things the pixels are still there, they just don't render. Very weird! Powering down the monitor and powering it back up fixes this problem. There's not a lot of 3D-Vision compatible monitors out there, and especially not at full HD resolution. If I need a replacement for this, though, I will absolutely look for other options, and only grudgingly buy another one of these.Pro:- full HD 3D. That's nice!- not a bad looking monitor, the orange highlights on the base are metallic and actually look kind of coolCon:- stand isn't height-adjustable- menu buttons and menus aren't as friendly as they could be- sometimes blanks out the left or right half of the monitor (once every few months)

I've had one of these for 3 years already and it works fantastic. Despite the awkward position of the controls, which I barely use, the monitor itself is awesome and it has a very aggressive look. Today I purchased a second one with a dual screen stand to enrich my system.

I can't say enough about this monitor. The clarity and screen refresh are outstanding. I drove this at 120Hz for a stereoscopic 3D display application, and it was very impressive. I think all my future monitors, 3D or not, will be high-refresh rate monitors like this.

Decided to try 3d vision, so I got this 120hz monitor. The miss-colorization that many reviews have mentioned is not present in my monitor, but there is something strange going on. When the monitor gets shifted into 3d mode (120hz) and the screen is supposed to be black, the lower right corner fades to grey. WHen I first got the monitor, I was playing a game that was mostly greys (Assassins Creed), so it was not an issue. Since then I have changed games to one that is largely black (Batman) and this has become very distracting.

Ужасно

I bought this model of monitor about a year ago and it worked great. However after about a year (for some it can last longer, some not even half a year) it will start a loud extremely annoying high pitched buzzing noise, the volume differs depending on what colors are on the screen. There is no fix for this problem, some have found that setting your monitor to 100% brightness fixes the buzzing. It does fix the buzzing, but good luck doing anything with your monitor brightness that high. I google searched for fixes after and only found people who shared the same problem and not a single person ever found a solution other than the extreme brightness.Overall a decent product when it is working, but not worth it at all, since it does not last long and the buzzing is unbearable.

Let me start by saying if I could give this review a -50 stars I wish I could.Maybe some of you don't have this problem, but I know of over 20 cases of buzzing from this monitor. If you don't know if yours buzzes, try going to a dark website such as Hardforum.com at 120Hz and see if the back of your monitor buzzes.Anyways, back to the point:I've tried to be so calm over the past month of dealing with Acer and their terrible service and support. I sent my monitor in to Acer for repairs for such a small but very problematic problem of random Buzzing from my Acer GD235Hz monitor. When I finally got my monitor back from repairs I was given an "we could not find the problem" letter. I was pissed that they could not find it and even more mad that they did not even bother to tell me before shipping it out. Angry that they did not even read the information that I had given on how to duplicate the problem. You can blame the bad chat support or the repair technicians for that because I gave all the information I could. So I just asked Acer to repair it a second time. So when they received the monitor I was very happy that this time that they actually were able to find the problem. It took them a total of 5 or so days to repair it and ship it back to me. Great. But when I finally got the monitor back, it still had the same issue and it also came back scratched on the bezel too. Let me tell you that the monitor was in PERFECT cosmetic condition. Now I am very angry. I should've trusted all the online comments about the terrible repair team of Acer. I told myself it could not be that bad, but it obviously was. I would never ever even think about recommending or buying another Acer product in my life again. Please treat your customers with respect, Acer. You guys need to hire new repair technicians because the ones that are in the repair center obviously have no idea what they are doing.

I owned this monitor for about 2 weeks and then returned it. It had major back light bleeding from the right side and the power light at the bottom (an incredibly stupid design). This meant I had a white line on the right and a blue one on the bottom in dark scenes. The 3d was ok with nvidia 3d vision but it sucks that the monitor is so small and you have to buy it separately for around $100+... also many games dont support it so that sucks. I ended up returning it and buying a panasonic dt30 3dtv. I love it even though it cost a bit more it was definitely worth it. Now I can play any game I want in 3d like RAGE, using the 2d to 3d conversion software. Another thing I hated about this monitor was the controls for calibration, there were times when the brightness setting would be grayed out and other times I was allowed to change it... I dont know wtf was going on as it was completely random. If you want 3d, which you obviously do if your getting this, then get a small 3dtv. you want a bigger screen anyway for 3d. The one thing I did like about the monitor was that the stand looked pretty cool and it has the ability to use a true 120hz signal through dvi which 3dtvs sadly cannot...

Love the 3D... This montior supports full HD 1080p. Looks great. Espcially with the Nivida Vision 2 glasses. Only issue i have, is at first, i heard a small humming sound when not using 3d (web searching), but not enough to make me want to return or exchange. I havent heard it in a few days.. But other than that.. excellent monitor.. Well worth the money... Especially if you LOVE 3D like I do!! Dont think twice on this monitor. Well worht the buy.

24' Really is all you need in a monitor, personally I think with a 27' you're looking around too much for gaming. Anyways, this monitor came with no dead pixels, the 1080p videos look amazing on it and blu-ray 3d just blows me away. I've tried a few games in 3d and have had no issues with the monitor, just be sure your system can take the toll 3d has on it. Overall I love this product and am very satisfied with the colors, and the smoother picture 120hz offers.

I received this monitor the other day and was super excited to start using it. The setup is very simple and it looks really nice. However the problem I encountered was a humming/buzzing while looking at dark colors (mostly when browsing the web). If there was a dark banner at the top of the screen the buzzing would be very audible, but if I scrolled down it would get quieter. I looked this problem up and it apparently is a common problem with this monitor and supposedly all monitors in 120hz.At first the buzzing didn't bother me too much and most of the time I have headphones on, but for the price of the monitor I would rather have one that works properly.

All in all, pretty good monitor. looks nice, 120hz makes everything look smooth. brights are bright, darks are dark, colors are nice. 2 issues though:1) the stand kinda sucks. for gamers who use big mousepads, the pointyness and lack of versatility of the monitor stinks, i bought a monitor arm and mounted it on my own to fix that tho.2) my big issue that i'd dock the 2 points for, is at 60hz everything is fine, but when you put it on 120hz, i seem to be getting these random red dots on my screen. they are digital dots and apparently the manual says that they are normal, but they are kinda annoying. just random little red pixels that kinda appear and disappear around your monitor... hopefully a company comes out with something comparable to a crt one day.

I got this monitor for it's compatibilty with nvidia's 3d vision. I absolutely LOVE the 3d technology. This monitor is good, but not as awe inspiring as the 3d technology it's designed for. There's no adjustments for height, the orange metal (supposed to look like copper?) is kinda kiddish looking, and on black screens you can see some of the backlight leaking from the bottom edge of the display. But there were no dead pixels, great picture, bright and crisp, no ghosting on even the most action packed gaming sessions, and it worked perfectly with the 3d vision technology.Tips for 3d vision users that I learned: Use the monitor cable that comes with the montitor! I used the one from the old monitor so I didn't have to mess with cables, and DVI is NOT the same as the Dual-Link DVI! Also, I had to do a lot of messing with the drivers to force it to use the one I downloaded from ACER. I read claims that is will work with the "PnP Monitor" driver it defaults to, but I wanted it to state my monitor correctly.

I've been waiting to get one of these for ages for my Gaming PC, now that I got it it's absolutely worth the upgrade in anyway thinkable.Pros:Fast, smooth and flawless 120HZ.Fast boot up speed, no delay for the 120HZ to start up.Doesn't take up as much space at all, thinner than it looks. They include the all the cords needed and an extra HDMI, always good to have.Cons:The stand cannot rotate. The screen is very dull, it's matte. Doesn't have any shine in it.NOTE: You cannot you an HDMI Cord for the 120HZ, you need to hook up the Dual-DVI Cord that they included. There is no visual quality difference between the two, not a big deal at all.NOTE: Console gamers beware, you cannot use this monitor for 120HZ. Your consoles do not have the drivers needed. I've tried on both my Xbox 360 and PS3, it's non-existent.I'd recommend this to any PC Gamer with a computer that can achieve over 60FPS in any game. Even if you don't, it's still a cleaner and more future proof solution.

pros: huge difference when in 2d running in 120 hz - games look more crisp and realisticmine arrived right on time with no dead pixelsstellar performance in 3d a must have for gamerscons: people complain about the stand I was a bit put off by the X style since its found on lower end Acers but its adds a bit of flair to the overall look of the monitor in my case wont matter since I'm buying two more and mounting them on a triple monitor stand. I found its no more wobbly than any other monitor I've owned - a lil bit of wobble is good since it dissipates any vibrations and keeps it from falling over get a solid heavy desk I sayIve read that earlier models had some issues I would only buy new monitors because of this no refurbished/used for mecant wait to add two more and go triple screen 3d with two 460s If you are on the fence as I was dont be - just spend the money (300+ is a big hit for a monitor) you wont regret it be sure to get nvidia 3dvision glasses also
