I had initially purchased a guitar that was half the price but it was going out of tune every time I played so I decided to buy this more expensive guitar for my son. When I first played the guitar it was amazing and the quality was great. Although, it had one issue, the nut that was holding the low E string had a space that was too large for the string and it wasn’t holding the string tight. This caused a clicking sound because the string would slip side ways across the nut. I am exchanging for another one because the quality is very good and other than the issue I just mentioned, the guitar sounds amazing like an adult size guitar.
UPDATE: now the second guitar I received has a chip on the edge of the body but the nut does not have the same issue as the first guitar. I’m going to try to exchange for another guitar since I still like the product if it comes with no defect.

I had ordered a 1/2 sized lucida guitar and was very disappointed in the quality. I returned it and ordered this Yamaha guitar for a little more money but it was money well spent. The sound of this guitar is really nice and a joy to play. I ordered it for my 6 year old but I love playing it almost as much as my full sized guitar.

The Yamaha CGS102A 1/2 Size Classical Guitar has an incredible sound for it's size. I LOVE it. I am an adult with small hands and full size or even 3/4 size classical guitars are simply too large for me to play. The guitar arrived quickly and it was really well packaged. I am delighted with this purchase!

Small, but with big sound...and so easy to carry around. Frets are a little closer together, but this compromise is quite acceptable in a guitar that is highly portable so you can keep on practicing no matter where you roam.

It arrived quickly and in perfect condition. Although it was purchased as a beginner guitar for a 7-year old, I find it fun to play. The small size makes it easy to practice those awkward finger stretches and I imagine it would be easy to travel with. After tuning it a few times (strong young plucking on new strings), it seems to hold its tuning nicely and the sound is great.

Love it! Definitely love it!! It arrived faster than expected. Great size for my 6 yr old. And amazing quality! My husband has one from years now and this one is the exact same one. Looks so cute and so much better in person than the photo.

Been playing electric for a decade, wanted to try out a nylon for some time but didn't want to approach what I've spent on my electric setup. Totally worth it. Sounds really good for $120. Good quality too. I bought it with an eye to my daughters future, so when she gets a little older she can learn on the smaller size while I play along with my full size Alvarez. Really easy action, and to all you people who say it doesn't stay in tune, thus is the nature of nylon strings. And honestly it only ever goes slightly flat after hours of play. Sounds good in alt tunings, I've taken it to drop C tuning and it sounds just as good as E standard and everything in between.

Sounds is lovely, and my son's guitar teacher praised the brand: "Everything Yamaha makes is great." It's pretty easy to tune, and once the nylon strings finish stretching it stays in tune pretty well. Nylon is MUCH easier on little fingers and the guitar is less loud than steel strings. I got one of these for a 7 year old and one for a 9 year old, both big for their age - apparently when starting out it is better to err on the side of small with the guitar.
