Bought the Xerox Phaser 6010N on sale, has worked fine for two months. One paper jam easily fixed. Excellent color reproduction for graphics / web images. Prints quickly; not as noisy as some black and white laser printers.

Short and brief. The price on this printer is just perfect.Packed with features, Web UI is feature rich.Quick to set up.Easy for people to just walk up and understand.Detailed documentation.I have used the more upscale Copy centers for years and this is very comparable to a $15k printer.Xerox made a truly great product for this one.

The Xerox Phaser 3300MFP has delivered more than I expected at a very reasonable cost given the system's capabilities.1) Physical installation is a snap-- just remove it from the carton, plug cables into the only places they fit, remove the tape that holds doors closed, insert the toner cartridge, unlock the scanner mechanism and it's done. In our case we also added the second 250 sheet paper tray which equally simple.2) Software installation on a Windows-7 Professional platform was limited to inserting the CD-ROM, telling it to use a network connected printer, and picking the printer from a displayed list.3) Setting up the printers firmware uses the web interface which worked exactly as expected and offered no problems that an occational quick look into the on-line manual failed to cure.4) EVERY feature worked as documented, including scan to Email, scan to Network, and FAX forward to Email.The web interface can be a bit difficult for people with little or no ability to actually read and follow instructions. But if you open the manual in one browser window and the machine's web interface in another and then accept that Xerox knows more about their machine than you do... it all works fine.Some features are especially nice. One very useful one is that it you can put a stack of pages in the feeder and then scan them directly to a folder on your computer in one of several formats. Another useful feature, especially for small business types, is that incoming faxes can be set to automatically forward to your email as a PDF file. This is great because if an order or contract is sent by fax you can get it on your Blackberry or iPhone when away from the office.The only "fault" I have with it is the machine's control panel. It uses a telephone keypad for all data input which makes things like entering Email addresses and mixed-case passwords sluggish. Perhaps Xerox will put a better human interface on the next generation.Otherwise... a very good product that demonstrates good value.

Please excuse the enthusiasm but in over 20 years of purchasing computer equipment (lots), this is the finest product I have ever seen. This is not unbridled enthusiasm, as I had always associated the Xerox name with bullet-proof mass copiers. What a huge and pleasant surprise.Ease of Use? Let's just put it this way: "We don't need no stinkin manual man!" Actually I never read the manual to set up, network, USB connect, print, fax or make coffee with it. And customer support is second to none. Telephones are answered by friendly and knowledgeable people.Close your eyes and trust this product. The used-to-be-world champion of printers is now Gone With the Wind in my opinion. That's right. I gave my brand-new XX printer away when it went on permanent strike after only light usage.This MFP machine is worth more than the price on it. And, after too many thousands of dollars of purchases, Amazon has yet to fail me.Very few things in life are this easy: Xerox and Amazon.

The print and scan quality are good. Interface and usability are bad. This device gets a one star rating because it does not do what it advertises it can do. Network scanning is only available via PC (not much of a surprise) although they don't tell you that when you buy the thing. It also claims that it can scan to email over the network. It really can't, not if your email server requires SSL, like 90% of email servers do. Duh! None of these limitations are listed anywhere, and the only way to discover that the scan to email doesn't work with SSL is to call tier 2 technical support to discover it. If you buy it and can't get it to work within a week, it isn't you. The machine doesn't work. Rather, I should say that it does not work as advertised, hence the one star rating.

My phaser 6250 screamed for months before the alert appeared saying it need a new fuser. Now it's quiet. I couldn't figure how to install but a friend helped. It works great.

Dont be seduced.Paper jams about 3 times a day, every day.Scanner jams quite often, unless document is perfectly fitted to the roller.The setup was non-intuitiveWorst of all, I bought this from Amazon. When I called Xerox for tech support, they informed me--that while it was new--it was a 'resell' and tech support would be 'for fee'

I got sick of tracking down random drivers for the recent barrage of consumer grade printers that I've been using so found one that can use a generic postscript driver. I recall this being pretty standard on all laser printers about 15 years ago, but for some reason it's not like that anymore.Anyhow, this thing prints well and does the duplexing just fine. Scanning has been easy. I haven't used it to send a fax yet, but I would bet that since everything else works as advertised that will work too.I'll know more in the future as far as how long toner lasts and so on, but for now it's exactly what I thought I was getting and I'm happy.

I upgraded from an HP inkjet MFP. After some research I decided to go with the Xerox, my first xerox mfp, I have been very happy with the machine.The software the comes with the machine is very good, easy to use and does not overload your computer with stuff you do not need.The ability to scan a document to your PC from the machine is great! The scan quality is very nice.The web interface is easy to use and really gives you good control over the machine.The top document feeder is top quality too, the HP really had problems if the pages were bent a little, the Xerox will feed and scan just about anything.

I bought this printer for my husband who recently opened up his business. He needed a printer so I researched different brands. You can't go wrong with Xerox. The prints look very professional. I got the multifunction printer. All options work as they're supposed to. My husband is very happy with the printer once we were able to set up the settings. We had a bit of problem setting it up. Everything is okay now. I set it up as a network... piece of cake!

I've only spent about 6 hours with my new xerox phaser 3300 mfp and I'm very disappointed. It has a web page that is built into the machine. I have no trouble accessing it, but it is not compatible with any web browsers. I've tried FireFox and IE8 on a XP machine and FireFox and Safari on a mac. The navigation buttons disappears after you switch pages and the images don't load until you hold your pointer over them. It is just flaky as can be. Then, to make things worse, when I do attempt to change a setting, I get an "error on page" warning in IE8. So, I can't change settings.The manual is also full of errors. It is like it was written for a different machine and pasted into this machines manual and not fully updated to be accurate with this machine. It tells me to go to areas in the browser accessible control panel that simply don't exist. If Xerox reads this, look how it tells you to set SMTP in the browser based interface and then look at the reality of where the SMTP settings are.I called Xerox and he confirmed the errors in the instructions and confirmed that it isn't compatible with hardly any "new" browsers. He said it worked with a lot of outdated versions of popular browsers. He had me download OPERA rather than reverting to an older version of IE. Now it works fine, but I still have to figure it out without much help from the manual as it is not written with any degree of accuracy.T

7400 was fine. But Xerox have screwed up the drivers with this one for Mac users. Spent two hours on phone with Xerox and recieved "beta" drivers not available on the website. Just moved offices and now we are back to square one--very badly designed install/uninstall. Symptoms: crashes when going to print, stuck in dialogue box, sends to printer and processes job forever.

I have owned this printer for several months. It is fast, the print quality is excellent, and I am especially pleased by how accurately it prints fine lines in line art.However, the facilities for printing envelopes (the "smart" tray) are inferior. It only holds about 15 envelopes without jamming. If you want to print several hundred for a mass mailing, you have to sit and constantly feed the smart tray, and unjam it frequently.The other problem is the sensor for replacing the toner cartridge. You are told your cartridge is low for weeks before it actually is, even if you run a home business where you use the printer heavily. And, you are not permitted to decide when to replace the cartridge. While the copies are still perfect, and there are no streaks or faint spots anywhere, the "replace cartridge" red light comes on and the printer will not print one single more page till you put in a new cartridge. Forget about running the printer a little faint for awhile, or shaking up the cartridge to get another hundred decent pages before you put in a new one. As cartridges are expensive, and there is no indication how much toner is really left in the cartridge you are forced to throw away, this is an expensive "feature."

Overall the print drivers seem to work fine (we use a server driver) and the machine prints with the quality level and speed I expect. However we've had this for 14 months and printed 180,000 pages (about 13,000/month) This should be within reason given the 100,000 PPM duty cycle for the machine. A cheap plastic roller in the fuser feed system breaks about every 3-4 months. The parts are $250 plus the service call. Our service rep said this happens to all of the 6 systems he services with other customers. This destroys the total cost of ownership for the system and hurts our customer service when we have to switch over to printing on a multi-function fax printer (which is a lot slower).

I bought a xerox docuprint c8 two years ago and it worked fine for about 3 months then the black ink started to miss.Xerox sent me a replacement head. Four months later it went again and yet another print head was required.2years on and the same problem yet again.During this time I have only used 4 black ink cartridges and one set of colour. After several emails to Xerox the reply I received was that there profit was made on printer consumables such as ink and print heads & with print heads at $$$ a throw they are onto a good thing concidering the printer cost just over $$$ at the time.I do not believe that my machine was a one off as a relative bought the same printer about a month before I did and he has had the same problems.So if you are thinking of buying one it may seem ... good value, but in my experience it may be [better] to go for a more expensive brand I certainly intend to

If you want to loose your money buy it. The ink head spills out and the software that it's suppose to "control" the printer does not work. I can't understand how Xerox sells this to their "customers". Last time I ever buy Xerox.

Previously, I had always purchased and utilized HP printers and had been very pleased with the performace and value based on initial purchase price and cost of replacement cartridges. But when it came time to purchase a new printer I decided to review comparable printers available from other manufacturers and became interested in the Xerox P8ex due to it's features, additional memory, price and the Xerox name. To be fair, set up was basically a "no-brainer" and I have no complaints regarding the quality of the printing, but these 2 'qualities' are not adequate reasons to purchase this printer. First, it's much "noisier", than other printers, it jams frequently, and it runs out of memory frequently despite the additional 2mb of memory than comparable printers. Based on the above you might think "fine", it still sounds like a decent printer for the price. However, let me assure you that when you need to purchase that 1st refill cartridge, you'll regret this purchase decision to the extent that like me, you'll start looking for a new printer to replace it! First, good luck trying to locate the replacement cartridges for this P8ex model at your usual retail and/or online stores, even your favorite superstores! Be aware, the P8 model requires a different cartridge than the P8ex. I've spent hours on line searching for replacement cartridges after being unable to locate at my usual office supply stores. As if this wasn't disturbing enough, believe me when I state that once I located them at a few online stores I was horrified! I have found the replacement cartridges to range from $115-$145 each! And that doesn't include shipping if purchased online! Maybe you can find a way to justify the price, but I can't. Especially when I became aware during my search that Xerox manufactures replacement laser cartridges for most every model of HP printer and they're only HALF the price of the replacements for their own printers (at least the P8ex)! So, here I am with a new Xerox printer and the realization that it would be cheaper in the long run to replace it with a NEW printer, than to continue to buy new replacement cartridges for the printer I already OWN! In fact, considering the cost of the refill cartridges, the actual printer is MORE DISPOSABLE than the cartridges! And NO, you won't be able to find the refill cartridges at the typical "refurb cartridge" site or find a "no-name" generic replacement either, I've tried. So, I'm in the market for a new printer, an HP. My only question is whether I'll take advantage of purchasing the Xerox manufactured replacement cartridges for my new HP printer since they're such a steal for the price! But I doubt it, since why would I want to support a company that provides a product for the owners of another manufacturer's printer at a reasonable price, while their customers are bleeding money to purchase replacement cartridges to enable them to use their Xerox printer? HEAR THIS XEROX: this isn't only poor customer service/business...I would consider it EXTORTION! Anyone want a P8ex printer?

I got the C6 which looks exactly like the picture above. It's a hassle to install, it took me about 2 weeks before i got it working completely as it took forever for the printer to start successfully reading the ink. I had to click on the 'clean' button in the software interface about 50 times after installation. I'm studying computer engineering at school and I don't appreciate getting stumped by pesky little printers. One of my friends got the exact same printer about a month after I got mine. When he phoned me because he was having problems with his new printer I asked him what brand it was and when he said Xerox Docuprint I just sighed and wished I had warned him. He was having similar problems, you have been warned now... In defence of the printer, the ink does come with a seperate cartridge for each colour which actually works well for me since I print almost all of my stuff in black. You can just buy new black cartridges and replace when you run out and the colour is there whenever i need it. No need to switch printer heads for colour vs black. It's also small enough that you can fit it in your garbage can (where it will end up in a couple years anyways) Once it's been set up i've had no major problems.. except for your monthly paper jam (weekly or daily if you're lucky). Sometimes it pulls multiple sheets at the same time. That's what normally causes the paper jams. Sometimes it refuses to print until you reboot. And it makes annoying noises whenever you reboot your computer.

I Recently purchased a new computer with Windows ME. When I tried to download the correct driver for my 18 month old Docuprint P8, I found that Xerox has yet to release drivers for Windows ME. I'm sure the P8ex is a fine printer (I have no complaints with the performanceof my P8), just don't expect Xerox to support their product. Best of luck to anyone who purchases this when Windows XP comes out this fall.

I purchased this printer thinking I was finding a bargin, but it has more problems than any half decent piece of crap should. The tiny ink tanks inexplicity empty with the smallest of printing jobs, and they are in convient indvidaul colors, so you have to buy four and not just two. If you ever have to move it and thus unplug this plastic freak, the print head will become clogged and ruined, which costs half the price of the total printer. And since it is the one thing that breaks it is not covered in the warrenty. I got this printer less than three months ago, and it is already broken beyond repair. Any printer that can not be unpluged with out fear of breaking is not worth making (that means you Xerox!). DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER. It is the epitome of plastic evil!

After having many problems with various HP printers, I turned to this Xerox model to provide a cheap solution. I was very pleased to find that it has very good color and print quality. The ink is also affordable vs. the multi-color ink carts that other manufactures sell. With the Xerox, you only buy what color you need. I love this little work horse and would suggest it to anyone who only needs a printer for minor jobs and school work.
