compact and easy to use
read the reviews and they were mixed although more positive than negative. i found this saw easy to use and it did the job that I specifically bought it for ( to cut round a glass fibre electricity cupboard in order to replace the broken door. To date I have only used it on the one job but looking forward to using it more in the future. Over heating has been an issue on these compact saws (this brand as well as others) but I did not find this. recommended on my one time experience

Super useful multi blade tool
I'm so happy I bought this tool. Its such a time saver when needing to make quick cuts.
Its important to know that the blades on this toolk are quite thin therefore I only recommend this as a multi tool for quick jobs where accurancy isn't super important.
I use this tool to supplement my existing drop saw, diamond cutter and tile cutter. For example I used this when cutting fence panels or cutting wooden battons down to size as accurancy isn't too important. I wouldn't be using this to cut a kitchen worktop or a gravel board (with the supplied stone cutting disc).
The lazer light was useful to follow my marked line and easy to use one handed, the guide worked as expected. I have not tried the stone cutting disc but imagine it would struggle.
Its important to know that the blades on this toolk are quite thin therefore I only recommend this as a multi tool for quick jobs where accurancy isn't super important.

Difficult to hold
I purchased this saw for a specific purpose and to be fair it did the job , I don’t know if I have a small hand size (size 9 work glove ) but I found it very difficult to hold the machine and turn it on also the machine was obviously not new because various parts were missing in its carry case but that showed in the price . Would I buy again yes but would look for something I could hold comfortably .

Just a fab bit of kit
Mulled over this purchase for ages looked at loads did the research and took the plunge with this and no regrets.
Compact case 👍 I’ve cut engineered flooring doors kitchen worktops all sorts it’s just brill.
One of the best tools in the van not to heavy easy to use and change blade surprised me what it will cut.
Deeper timber take your time to stay straight and don’t force it but I use a square edge to run along anyway.
It really is one of the best investments I’ve made and for the money I can’t see a reason to spend more. Blades are readily available to and build quality seems great to.

Budget compact saw, good for the price, but not going to last forever.
This turned out to be the a handy little tool for quick cutting, I have a fixed circular saw and a large heavy circular saw and a jigsaw, but ended up using this a lot for quick cutting, mostly because it's easy and quick to grab and use.
Pros: compact - one handed operation, supplied with cutting guide to cut parallel to an edge. Easy to control. Nice 2.5m cable.
Cons: It wouldn't cut in a straight line at first. I replaced the saw blade and that fixed it, I suspect the one provided was a bit warped. Not very powerful, so had to go slow through hardwood, but didn't find anything it wouldn't cut.
Finally: mine died after just over a year and about 3 blades. It would stop with the motor still running. Eventually the motor would run but the disk didn't spin. I took it apart and the metal teeth on the ring gear had worn down so they no longer engaged in the pinion.

Absolute beast of a saw - just don't pay top whack
I paid £89.99 for this saw, it's currently at £84 but has been as low as £70 and as high as £130. For what I paid I'm very happy (although obviously I'd have preferred to pay £70!). I actually returned another Worx saw to Argos to get this one instead as this has 710w and three blades vs 400w and a single blade for slightly more.
It's very easy to use, this is my first circular saw and I can cut thick hardwood with one hand, it tears through it and never feels like it even knows the wood is there. With the laser pointer and guide fence straight lines are simple, the first time I used it was a revelation and I wondered what the hell I'd been doing using a handsaw all this time! It does the job in seconds. The blades are easy to change, the saw is well balanced - it might be a little heavy for some but I think it helps keep it positioned. It's easy to turn on and off, mitre cuts and the depth stop work great, it's just a fantastic saw.
Once note - use a vacuum and eye/ear protection. It'll chuck wood everywhere otherwise and it's not a quiet tool. Overall it's five stars all the way, it's a deceptively powerful tool and will make short work of most materials.

Was impressed
Bought this to cut floor tiles when laying new kitchen floor. Was a little sceptical about buying a combined tile/wood saw rather than a specific tile saw. But figured being a keen woodworker I would get more use from this once I finished the tiling. Cut 17 full width cuts on 333x333x9mm ceramic floors tiles, plus a few smaller cuts on a single blade. Was very impressed with the ease at which the saw went through the tiles. Admittedly it does now need a new blade, the last couple of cuts took a little longer. Still not bad going. Have yet to try on wood, will use on sheet material most likley, will update review when I do.

Not the best for holding
Unfortunately I thought i was getting a good saw to help cut in to floorboards but discovered that the on switch to be a littleout of range to hold the saw correctly and use the trigger at the same time. Has a tendancy to not cut very straight without a lot of effort needed to hold the saw well in place while cutting. Not so easy to use unless for very light work.

Купил это после того, как просмотрел множество разных до такой степени, что начал сам себя сбивать с толку. Итак, YouTube перешел к повторному просмотру, просмотрел множество обзоров и остановился на этом. Очень удобен в использовании, для его запуска достаточно нажать 2 кнопки, затем только 1. Лазер... как приятное дополнение, это ни в малейшей степени не помогло, так что вы могли бы купить это дешевле без лазера. Я делал полки, и они проходили сквозь доски толщиной 1/2 дюйма, как горячий нож сквозь масло. Поставляется в очень красивом футляре с дополнительными лезвиями... 8/10. Я бы порекомендовал.

The worx saw explained
Firstly I should explain that I have been using and caring for powered circular saws of all types since 1962 in my trade as a carpenter and joiner, now retied but having time to work on my own house for a change. I bought this worx saw to do some tasks more suited to a saw of this design, when it arrived and I used it for the first time it was imediately completely useless, within the first ten seconds it was clear to me that the supplied blade was faulty, on close inspection I could see it had been manufactured incorrectly with all of the teeth "set" to one side and not each one set to alternate sides of the blade as they should be ( I actually re set the teeth with my own specialised tool) phoned Amazon explaind the prob and was refunded the cost of another blade, the original blade that I "re set" is still in the saw and has done a lot of work, and so far the the saw and blade are now excellent !! I can recomend IF you get a correctly made blade. PLEASE DONT ATTEMPT TO RE SET A CIRCULAR SAW UNLESS YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE DOING !!!!! 3stars but only because of the blade prob.

Second time lucky
Liked the saw and its ease of use, but the first one only lasted a few months of infrequent use. Amazon replaced it very efficiently and quickly so time will tell how long this one will last.

I decided to try and tile a hearth and then realised this had a diamond tile cutter disc. I used a general tile cutter for most cuts but this came into its own for small cuts, such as the few mm needed to be removed from a 9mm thick porcelain tile.
I thought about a cordless version but I don’t really have plans to use away from home so this is great.
I would buy again.
I decided to try and tile a hearth and then realised this had a diamond tile cutter disc. I used a general tile cutter for most cuts but this came into its own for small cuts, such as the few mm needed to be removed from a 9mm thick porcelain tile.
I thought about a cordless version but I don’t really have plans to use away from home so this is great.

Very disappointed.
Bought this specifically for long cust in laminate flooring, on which it's a dream to use; same for other thin[ish] materials.
I was cooncerned about other reviews stating how difficult/impossible it was to cur a straight line. As it happens, I tried to trim the bottom off a door - didn't have my full size saw with me. It was tough going and I couldn't keep to a stright line but this saw isn't built for that, so can't complain.
The only down sides so far is that the on/off switch is tricky to operate one handed. Only a minor issue and not worthy of a dropped star. Same with the blades being unavailable at stores.
The good sides = Nice big sturdy case that will close without having to tie up the cable - Laser works well and I guess the batteries will last so long as I remember to switch it off.
EDIT Have now used it to cut the long edges of 12mm laminate. Impossible to cut in a straight line. I'm not a carpenter but as experienced with cutting wood. Don't know why I couldn't cut a straight line, just glad I had a plunge saw with me. Not glad it was a few days over the month money back period.

Probably as good as it gets
Quite a chunky tool which was not uncomfortable or hard to hold. Slightly disappointed with the accuracy, ended up clamping a betten to use as a guide as it is easy to wander from a straight line making a freehand cut. Coped with chipboard loft flooring if careful to keep a straight cut but did tend to struggle if I wandered off the straight and true. Having only a short base plate did not seem to help. Still pleased with this tool and look forward to trying it on mild steel sheets and other types of wood which I think will give a better result and an easier cut.

A Very Useful and Smug Purchase
I have various DIY tools that don't get much use but always on hand and this tool has seen some serious use since I bought it. From trimming MDF shelves to a ton of decking in my/son's garden, along with fence panels and posts. As far as I'm concerned it's paid for itself several times over just in terms of speed.
Very easy to use and I have found the cutting guide rail (included) to be very useful indeed. I'm lucky in that I can easily use it one handed but appreciate that someone with small hands may experience problems, as the handle is quite thick since it houses the motor. The included blade is brilliant, having said that, I have only used it for cutting wood of various thickness. Another caveat is the cutting depth which is about 26mm - all the decking I cut was 28mm thick, however the cut was deep and precise enough to simply snap the ends off. For some fence posts I simply rotated them and cut from the other side - easy.
My son and friend were well impressed with the WORX, sadly for the makers they won'y be purchasing one as they'll be borrowing mine!

Brilliant saw for one handed accurate cutting!
I wanted a saw for long cuts and cross cuts. I have a sliding mitre saw but it is limited to 10" cuts, and I debated getting a full sized circular saw as they have more power, but in truth I don't need a big saw all the while, and I don't like the fact that unless they have soft start, bigger saws tend to do a sideways 'kick' as the motor starts.
I did lots of reviewing and product matching, and ended up getting this on a deal for £90....
The Result? This saw is easy to hold in one hand, and can cut through wood nice and straight thanks to the switchable laser on top.
Bottom line; this is a great saw that seems very capable, and not too big to make it scary or hard to handle.
Recommended!

Easy to use especially for a novice
My carpenter mate has one of these so I decided to get one. First time ever using a power saw but after a bit of practice and much YouTube instructions, I am very happy with this saw. Have cut decking, made deck steps, shelving and cut a metal pipe with both straight cuts and 45 degree mitres. This is my first time buying 'proper tools' and I usually cannot knock a nail in straight. So pleased with this saw. Easy to use, portable and comes in a nice box for storage. Now looking for other projects to tackle.

Worx for me.
I have only used the saw to cut 9 Ply Plywood up to now but found the cut to be 95% splinter free in all cut directions across the board. This could be down to it being a brand new blade and may worsen in time. There was enough power in the motor to breeze through the cut without any problem at all. The only minor problem for me is I cannot press the safety button with my thumb if I hold the saw in a comfortable sawing position. I am having to press the button in with my left hand and pull the trigger in the sawing position with my right hand. Not a problem at the moment because I tend to clamp everything I cut to the workbench but may not always be able to do this if I need to hold anything with my left hand while sawing. I would like the safety button to be housed just a little higher up for this reason but understand we are not all built the same.

It's a good strong saw but the guide could be locked in with a thumbturn instead of a caphead to make it easier and the the 0(zero) on the base for the cutting point is over 1mm out fro the blade making the cut out.

Great Saw, replacement blades are too expensive.
Really nice bit of kit, really glad I bought it, I have used it in a number of jobs since I bought it. The shape of the guide means that it can be ajusted to take off even the smallest amount. Very little kick on start up. Lazer a great help to give stright cuts, it is so easy to follow premarked lines. So why not 5 stars? Can't understand why it it was made with 46mm cut, as so much marerial is 50mm. I can only think it is so that other blades will not fit. The replacement blades are expensive and as I have been cutting mahogany the wood blade is already feeling blunt. I don't think everyone would want the 3 blades that come with it, but there is no choice. I hope cheaper replacements come on the market soon. The grip is quite wide and when doing a lot of cutting can be difficult to grip for someone with a small hand.

Efficient tool
Not exactly a feather weight but lots better than a full size saw. It's a handy sized tool that gets the job done. Previous comments about its accuracy are a little unfair. I'll concede that the guide isn't properly square straight out of the box, but it doesn't take much to align it by bending the bracket a wee bit. However, if you clamp a piece of straight scrap timber to your work piece, the framework runs true when either using it for left or right hand cuts. So far I've had no problems whatsoever with this efficient little tool. I assume that it is aimed at the average DIYer and not for heavy duty professional use. I would recommend this to any skilled DIY tog. Always remember that this is a serious tool and not to be abused, ALAWAYS follow the safety instructions!
