Великолепно
This is a quiet and decent speed hard drive. Very good for backup data purpose. I enjoy having it for my backup.

Bought this drive to put in an external SATA enclosure for backups. Quiet, stays cool, draws little power. I'm certainly not banging against it hard so I can't comment on sustained, heavy use, but for my purpose it's great.

No complaints. Pops in and works great. Not much to say. Oh, don't use the Green series in RAID configurations unless you want to kill them much faster than they're spec'd to last. Other than that, very nice.

two bare drives in a large shoebox sized amazon box + a few of those airbag things = DOA drives.Attempting an exchange, but not holding my breath.

If the product breaks they will not replace it. No one at their call center speaks English. I lost a lot of data because of this company. Do not buy from them!!!

I purchased this product to add additional space in my Drobo. Installation was a 30 sec process. Unbox and slide it into the open slot. Drobo recoginzed it immediatly and it just started working.

It does not matter that the speed of this drive is 5400 rpm. The drive is well engineered and has this "IntelliPower" and "IntelliSeek" technology. I got mine today and did a few speed tests with Bart's Stuff Test v5.1.4:I have a 300GB 10k rpm Velociraptor that has a read/write speed of about 93 MB/sThis drive got around 81 MB/s. Thats incredible!I have five 1TB Hitachi 7200rpm hard drives and they are around 40~50MB/sThis drive is quiet and runs cool too (about 45C under load in my case). Western Digital did a really good job with their Green hard drives. And they are reliable too. I have working Western Digital Caviars that are over 15 years old.Thank you Western Digital!

I bought two of these drives for their size, not for speed. So far so good. One connected to Windoze computer works fine. It was formatted without problems.

Using one of these drives to increase my video storage capacity on a Dish Network HD satellite receiver. It's perfect for this.I mounted it in a cheap USB enclosure from Rosewill and I got:- 150+ hours of additional HD storage- dead silent -- exactly what I want in my home theater setup- low energy usage -- since the Dish receiver is too dumb to turn itself or an attached USB drive off when its not doing anything, this disk just spins all the time. It's good that it uses very low power for this sized drive.Buy one.

First hard drive I received couldn't be format beyond 73%. Returned it for another and had the same problem. I read other reviews on the web and people had the same complaints. They may have a quality control issue with this model, in the past have been very pleased with WD. I'll step down to the 1 tb hard drive, I haven't read any bad reviews on the web about them.

These HDs are 5400RPM. That is why the size can go greater that 1TB. Look it up on Western Digitals web site...they don't list the RPMs like they do the Black series or the Blue series. Hard to find a place where they list the RPM but just understand these are 5400RPM NOT 7200.

These drives are not designed to be fast, they are designed for low power consumption and quiet acoustics. This drive is an excellent choice to mate with an SSD disk.
