Великолепно

Upgrade from 160GB to 500GB (same brand WD) my Index increased from 4.9 to 5.6. It's very quiet and fast.

This works great in my PS3, fast access, lots of storage, my games run faster and better, and it was easy to install. Be careful though the people at the Sony factory like to screw in the original hard drive TOO tight thus completley stripping out the "phillips slots" when you try to remove the screws so that you can't get the hard drive out of the caddy, however if this happens they will send you a new caddy free if you ask for one, I got mine about 3 days after I asked for it (the screws are included even the blue one).You will like this hard drive if you want to upgrade your PS3!

I purchased this drive to upgrade my 80GB PS3. It installed easily and worked with no problems. After the upgrade, I had about 290GB of space.If you are doing a PS3 upgrade, be sure to backup your programs and settings to a USB hard drive with the PS3's backup utility. After I did the restore, my PS3 had all of its content back with no glitches.

As others here, I upgraded my PS3 with this excellent drive. Couldn't have been easier to install. Before I upgraded, I backed up the old drive, slapped this baby in and restored. Now everything is exactly how it was except I have tons of space left to load HD videos taken with my Sony HD VideoCam. I don't even need a Blu-Ray burner. I just view my videos directly from the PS3 hard drive. Highly recommended for PS3 owners!

I'm no computer guru, but I easily replaced the original hard drive in my PlayStation 3 with this nice little piece of hardware that should have more memory space than I'll ever need. I occasionally receive a "hard drive not found" message when I fire up the Playstation, but I don't know if that is a hard drive issue or a Playstation issue. Either way, a quick reboot has fixed it every time.

I bought this for my PS3 to upgrade the hard drive and it worked like a charm. I am not an electronic geek so i don't know about how well it preforms all i know was it had to be a SATA 2.5 inch and speed of 5400 and this matched the description so i bought if for a very fair price since its a little outdated but other then that no problems with my PS3 hard drive and if you register you product with them they give you a coupon to upgrade if ya like!! All and all shipping was on time and in condition described! :)

i installed this hard drive onto my new laptop which already has 320gb of storage. i've essentially doubled my storage. no issues with the drive at all, works like a charm and it also has a temp sensor on it - some drives dont. so when u use some sort of temp monitoring software, this hd reports it's temps. useful to know.i now have 640GB of storage on my laptop! nothing exceeds like excess!

Works Great in the PS3.Installation was Easy.For those of you stuck at 30Gig on your Backup Drive due to Windows Fat32 Limitation. I used a Utility called Swiss Knife that you can find on CNet website or Download.com website. It allowed me to Format my Drive larger than 30 Gig so I could Backup my 60 Gig Drive.Granted if you do not have an external USB Harddrive available you can backup your gamesaves to a USB thumb drive and then you have to re-download all your stuff from the PSN Store from the Downloads Link.All of your Games have to re-update as well. Not too big of a hassle...Now I have a TON of room left. I think I'll copy my whole CD Library to my nice big Hard Drive...

The other reviews I've read indicated this hard drive was very quite. However, I can't confirm this since the Fujitsu I replaced was just as quite and I have no other 2.5 hard drives to compare it to. It's been two weeks since I've been using it and no failure. It runs equally hot as the Fujitsu so I don't think it's more energy efficient.I have very good luck with different manufacturers, types and sizes so I guess I would recommend buying this.

I upgraded my PS3 drive from 40 GB to 320 GB. Now I am using my PS3 to store all my family media including animations for my daughter. No problems so far and can't get a better price than Amazon (most of the times)

I have been thinking of updating my HDD on my PS3 ever since I got it last November. I bought this drive about a month ago, the install was VERY painless (you can look up how to change the HDD in your PS3 in your manual, playstation website or even one of the video's out there on youtube.) Never had a problem with the drive itself and everything is running great! Should never have to update the HDD again!

I bought this product after reading all the reviews on amazon. I always read the full reviews and then buy producti on amazon. I attached it, format it and Installed Vista. It is working fine and silently. One of the aspect of this HD I like is. I enabled AHCI mode on vista, Installed Intel Matrix storage manager. I got noticeble difference in performace. It increased by 20% or more. I like this change. Before that I had Fujitsu (Defause HD with Inspiron 1520). but there was no performence improvement in that HD with AHCI. I would strongly recommand this product.

I originally bought a 60 gig PS3 so it wasn't too long before game installs, music, videos and down-loadable content filled it. This hard drive is the exact same type as one that comes with a PS3 but the drastically bigger memory more than justifies the price. It is easy to install and format so it is well worth the investment for those with pathetically small hard drives if you have enough for the upgrade.

I installed this drive 3 days ago and yesterday it started sounding loud and scratchy and scary. And so far Amazon refuses to answer my email asking what they're going to do about it.

I bought this to upgrade my PS3 from a 60GB unit. Once I backed up the original drive with an external HD, this internal HD took about 10 minutes to install. It was a snap, and I now have 5x more disk space.

I bought this just for my PS3. I originally had a 40gb model and this new hard drive works wonders. After installing it and formatting the new hdd, you are left with approximately 263 GB of space. I read somewhere online that the PS3 counts "space" a little differently so you can actually put around 280 GB of info on this hdd, but still anything over 250 GB is a LOT of space.And as far as speed is concerned, I've noticed certain things load a little quicker. I'm not sure if the hdd has anything to do with that, but I've only got 160 GB of space left and my PS3 is still fast as lightning when it comes to loading and pulling up pics and vids.
