I installed 8 units in a commercial building and had problems setting up an additional guest network. UniFi support were actually useless. I contacted the seller as a last ditch attempt and they walked me through everything and got it up and running. Turns out I had software/firmware incompatibility issues.

Luego me quejo de que la gente pone comentarios de que las imágenes no es lo que es, que en la descripción no pone (y no leen)... esta claro que la mejor información del producto o la buscas fuera de amazon (porque la descripción del producto es una m o incompleta) o lees comentarios de las experiencias de la gente.

Mi queja es que ves el precio de uno y lo comparas con el precio del pack de 5 y dices uhhh que bueno, compro 5. En las preguntas al vendedor o compradores... preguntan ¿lleva alimentador PoE? y un vendedor dice SI CLARO!!! ... pues tu vas y te fías... pues ES FALSO no lleva. Por lo que compras 5 alimentadores PoE aparte o un Switch PoE que normalmente son de 4 puertos PoE (o te gastas un paston) YA NO SALE RENTABLE...

MEJOR COMPRARLOS POR SEPARADO QUE VIENEN COMPLETOS sino quieres ampliar una instalación o tienes ya un switch PoE

Aun así la respuesta del Vendedor sigue ahí puesta aun después de habernos quejado... esto es amazon.

Die APs sind derzeit mit Abstand die beste Wahl um ein Multizellen WLAN aufzubauen. Die einzige Hürde ist das es wie bei der Konkurrenz üblich keinen Websever sondern eine Konfigurationssoftware für die APs gibt. Diese muss allerdings nicht zwingender weise immer mitlaufen, allerdings sind einige Überwachungsfunktionen nur mit dieser Software machbar. Sende und Empfangsleistung ist Ubiquiti üblich hervorragend. ebenfalls die Verarbeitung. Man merkt das Ubiquiti einfach im Enterprise Markt tätig ist.Ein WLAN wird einmal Konfiguriert. Wenn ein weiterer Accesspoint angebunden werden soll wird dieser einer "adoptiert". Es ist dann also keine weitere Konfiguration notwendig. Arbeitsaufwand ab dem 2. AP ist somit nichtmal mehr 1 Minute. Auch Bridging ist sehr viel einfacher gelöst als bei der Konkurrenz. Die Stromversorgung läuft über PoE, Netzteile werden nicht mitgeliefert. Wer allerdings 5 APs bestellt hat meist sowieso einen PoE Switch zum verbinden (auch da empfiehlt es sich ein Unify Gerät zu verwenden)

Grundsätzlich ist die Idee und die Ausführung (jedoch nur wenn man einen PoE fähigen Switch hat!! PoE Injektoren oder Netzteile sind NICHT dabei) sind ja grundsätzlich ganz nett.
Leider häufen sich immer mehr Probleme.
.) mit einem externen DHCP Server, der tadellos läuft, hat das Zeug massive Probleme. Es gibt immer wieder Probleme dass man keine IP Adresse bekommt. Dass ich nicht alleine bin mit dem Problem hat eine Internet Recherche deutlich gemacht.
.) in den letzten Tagen sind immer wieder alle APs WLAN technisch unsichtbar gewesen. Alle WLANs waren parallel bei allen vier installierten APs simultan verschwunden. Der Controller meinte dass alles perfekt ist... Ein Neustart des Controllers hat immer wieder für ein paar Stunden geholfen, dann wars wieder weg.

Fazit: das Zeug fliegt raus.
Schade ums Geld.

-Los equipos son fantásticos.
- Una vez configurados, el interfaz de configuración y las estadísticas son geniales.
- Muy fácil de configurar la red de invitados (que es el motivo principal de la compra)
- Hay un ahorro considerable en la compra conjunta.
- Yo los compré por Amazon Warehouse y me ahorré además un poco más, y llegaron nuevos.
- El kit de montaje te permite ponerlo discretamente donde quieras.

CONTRAS.
- La aplicación Unifi se tiene que instalar en un equipo que permita gestionar los APs. Aunque una vez que están configurados no hace falta tener el equipo encendido, cada vez que necesites hacer un cambio tienes que hacerlo desde esta aplicación.
- Para usuarios poco especializados recomiendo algo más sencillo como las redes Mesh (también disponibles en Amazon), pero el que pueda permitírselo técnicamente, se lo recomiendo.
- Vienen si en inyector Poe que hay que comprarlo aparte (10-15€ cada uno) o disponer de un Switch PoE para darle corriente.

We use these units throughout our facility and love their coverage. We have always purchased single units and they come with POE injectors. It would have been good to know these 5 packs do not.. Now we have to source some, not as good of a deal anyomore

Poco puedo decir que no se haya dicho ya de Ubiquiti. Una marca Europea muy buena y especialista en Wifi. Sus aparatos van muy bien, aunque la programacion hay que dejarla solo para profesionales. El controlador por software no es el mejor, pero funcionar funciona. Me gusta mucho mas Openmesh, pero desde que lo compro esa otra empresa se lo han cargado, y hemos tenido que volver a los origenes.

Con la aplicación de Unifi, la configuración es realmente sencilla. Configuras uno y los demas pueden tomar la configuración del primero automáticamente y escoger los canales etc. Fantástico producto y cobertura perfecta con este pack de 5 para una casa de 3 plantas y 800m2
No traen el conector PoE asi que necesitas un switch PoE para que funcionen.

Cumple con las expectativas, vienen sin adaptador PoE a pesar que en las preguntas dice que si que va incluido. Esto debes tenerlo en cuenta si no tienes switch con PoE y varía considerablemente el coste.
La entrega se ha realizado en plazo y forma adecuada.

Gewohnte unifi Qualität. Mir kommt nichts anderes mehr ins Haus, auch wenn sich der Preis dann doch schnell summiert.

Buscaba unos puntos de acceso que se integrasen bien para cubrir un edificio de varias plantas, y cumplen perfectamente con los requisitos. Además tienen un montón de funciones adicionales para redes de invitados, estadísticas, etc. Muy recomendable.

après une installation du logiciel, une interface ludique et personnalisable à souhait, et surtout une connexion d'une pièce à une autre sans déconnexion du signal Wifi, ça change des bornes air play du grand commerce!!!!
Surtout ne pas oublier les injecteurs, une par borne!!!

Ce n'est pas indiqué dans la description : il faut acheter les alimentations à part, ou avoir un switch PoE.
A part ça c'est du Ubiquiti avec ses avantages (fiable) et ses inconvénients (pas du tout à la portée des débutants).

I have setup a unify Switch connected to a load balancing Draytek 2860 which gets a second VDSL from a Draytek 130 modem connected to a second VDSL line. Wireless routing was provided by 6 BT mesh discs and across devolo powerline plugs. With many devices attached over a 3000sqft there were many conflicts and flakyness.

After installing a Unify cloud key, a Unify managed switch I had Cat 6 run around the house to 4 of these APs downstairs (in extensions to the house i.e. thick walls) and the 5th in the loft pointing down.

From a network perspective everything is rock solid 4k streaming web conferences etc all fautless all the time.

With this system you get huge control and insight, for example it was easy to see that I had over done it with the number of APs but the configurtability allows you to drop the power so they are 'not shouting'. Detailed info on surrounding networks appears so you can set you 5ghz and 2.4ghz channels to avoid specific conflicts.

Once you move away from consumer networking gear to something like unify everything suddenly works. Oddly because the software is much better supported it was a lot easier to setup than a lot of throw away consumer gear - so don't be put off by the professional nature of this stuff - its awesome - but you do need to use the Unify management software either on a PC, NAS or cloud key server. A PC is fine to be honest since for the average home setup you wont need to access it much (or access it remotely) once up and running.

I was going to get the Mesh outdoors however the AP in the loft is providing signal over a third of an acre so this has proved unnecessary.

I don't believe this is mentioned anywhere in the description, but when you purchase the 5-pack of access points it comes as an "installer pack": box of (5) access points, installation hardware, basic guide, but NO PoE INJECTORS. This may or may not be an issue for you, but it's extremely important to know. We use them in some installs, not in others, so it was not a major issue for us, but if you're expecting them it's a nasty surprise.

As for the APs themselves, an easy 5 stars. We've installed them in multiple locations across the country and have only had problems with a single AP. They have always performed extremely well and given no problems long-term. I highly recommend using the UniFi equipment throughout, but it's definitely not necessary. You will find it much easier if you also use the Cloud Key, but installing the software on a server instead works fine as well. I will say I often prefer using the PoE injectors, but that is strictly personal preference based on locations and existing hardware and the work just fine with PoE switches.

with over 400 of these installed, I never had a single failure. The new Software is very nice too.
Just make sure you have a POE Switch or some power injectors.
