Meets my needs
I have a small network at home and had a HP printer (USB) that was not Wifi, and wanted to access the printer from PCs on my Wifi network.
This product met all my needs:
- was reasonalbly priced.
- was easy to install.
- Now I can print from any wired / wireless PC on my network.

You can do a firmware upgrade which is a waste of time
If you are running any OS above XP then don't bother buying this print server. It will not work and you will have thrown your money away. You can do a firmware upgrade which is a waste of time. You can follow TP-LINK 10 step configuration instructions and just be frustrated with the results. I certainly do not recommend this product at all.

Does NOT work as advertised. I used on a computer with Windows 10 and one with Windows 7 Professional. I used the software that was included in the package AND the software provided on the website. I even chose an alternate method of installing the software. I tried different things for HOURS!! And in EVERY configuration, both computers shut down when trying to print. It only worked once when I initially set up the software.

This device was a frustrating waste of time. Neither the software nor the device works as advertised. I'm returning it.

Great print server
Great choice, it was simple to install. It is the sheapest, smaller, useful it completed met my expectations. Works great.

Great tiny print server
I plugged everything per instructions and because I dislike having too much software installed used the web interface to set it to a particular IP (it came configured for DHCP). Then after some troubleshooting I was able to get it working in Windows by changing it from RAW to LPR and giving it an arbitrary name, lpr1.

Some hard drives doesn't work with it, even the printer often goes offline- while it's online. Problematic ware.

It works but...
This device works. It was not what I expected. Maybe I expected to much out of such an inexpensive device. I just don't like the fact that I have to use software for this print server. I was hoping for something more along the lines of the old JetDirect print servers form HP. This does work, it's just a bit frustrating .

Put the disc in you computer after plugging in the server and you are done. Too simple! And all the options on the multi-function printer work.

Crap!
I didn't work for me. I've bought 3 for my company and all of them have to be reboot many times during the day. If you don't reboot it, it takes an eternity to print a single document.
I don't recommend it! Look other options.

Great product.
Using this device in conjunction with a Cisco router. It's an easy Installation per the instructions and works just fine with our XP and Windows 7 machines.

great device for an office---BUT
i would recommend this device for anyone looking to share an old style usb printer on the network.
The catch is the the last person who connects to the printer must be at their computer to release the printer to a new person. So if they leave for the day or weekend and do not see the prompt requesting access from a another user then no other user can print until the machine is shut down or permission is granted.

Blue screen of Death - no help from TP-Link
I installed this to run 2 printers. It will randomly cause a blue screen reboot even if the devices are sitting idle. I contacted the company, and it has been several weeks without a reply. I have tried running just 1 printer at a time ... same results.

Trouble Shooting tips incomplete
I have 4 computers only one computer is able to connect to it on the network. I hate the printer box (I have epson R1900) that continues to display after the print job is complete and you have to manually close it. Not sure why the 3 other computers can not connect. They find the print server on the network ok, but they won't connect to print.
