Компактный, простой в настройке.

Поддержка только ОС Windows ну и не то чтобы прям недостаток, но адаптер питания должен быть включен в розетку для работы устройства.
Брал чтобы убрать свой принтер Epson-l800 со стола в другое место комнаты. Установка и настройка прошла без проблем, все функции фотопринтера поддерживаются, печать проходит корректно с двух разных ПК. Как недостаток отметил выносной блок питания, для работы устройства он должен быть подключен к сети постоянно, а так как в домашних условиях печатаешь нечасто, это напрягает. Было бы удобнее если бы питание было предусмотрено по стандарту PoE к примеру ну или что-то в этом роде.
Так-же в минус пойдет поддержка только Windows. Я конечно не искал очень уж сильно, но на Макоси и Убунте не удалось настроить с лету устройство. Может конечно я плохо искал, но в характеристиках тоже заявлена поддержка только Windows.
Но по-хорошему указанные недостатки это просто придирки, по заявленным характеристикам устройство свои функции выполняет хорошо.

Пропадает из сети несколько раз в день
Сырое, недоделанное устройство. Постоянно пропадает из сети и помогает только выключение/включение питания.

Каждые 10-15-20 минут зависает, пропадает из сети. При этом на нем светятся светодиоды:
- USB (оранжевый);
- Ethernet (постоянный зеленый и мигающий оранжевый).
Помогает отключение и повторное включение питания. После этого работоспособность полностью восстанавливается до следующего подобного случая.
Отключение-включение патч-корда не помогает. Зависает как с подключенным USB так и без него.

Простой в настройке, миниатюрный, достаточно функциональный

Не хватает элемента крепления к поверхности
Отличное решение. Работает с тремя компьютерами в сети: две W7 и один WXP. В настройках указал "отключение при простое 30 сек". Всё пока стабильно. Печать без заморочек.

Назвать сей девайс принт-сервером - большая ошибка.
Для того чтобы печать на сетевом принтере, подключенному через данный девайс нужно установить прогу от тп-линк на каждый пк, а дальше самое интересное это настройка. С горем пополам заставил все таки его работать на терминальнике win2012.

Сложно оценить товар, если ты его не смог настроить. Пока валяется. Все сложно, если у тебя Win10

Проверяйте таблицу совместимости с принтерами на официальном сайте. Сетевую печать, в частности- основную задачу выполняет не для всех. Настройка и интерфейс приложения очень неудобные

Недорогой, работает достаточно стабильно.

Требуется читать инструкцию.
Читал отзывы, но решил рискнуть и купить, благо цена риска не столь велика. К удивлению работает достаточно хорошо, правда и нагрузка на печать у нас небольшая. Для сканирования приходится использовать встроенное ПО - для частого и конкурентного использования это будет неудобно. Для домашнего\небольшого офиса вполне подойдет.

Теряет сеть, зависает
Постоянно пропадает передача данных при этом индикация сетевого интерфейса присутствует, помогает перезагрузка. Ужасно не удобно использовать все функции МФУ если много пользователей. Не стоит таких денег.

Простой в настройке, подключает любые усб принтеры

Один USB порт, кривое ПО
Пользуюсь больше двух лет. Держит до 2-х принтеров через дешевый китайский USB хаб. Если подключить третий, то будет периодически сбрасывать печать на одном из принтеров и начинать задание заново. В целом доволен, так как брал достаточно давно и относительно недорого. При наличии более одного компьютера периодически из-за кривого ПО они друг у друга отбирают свободный принтер, подключают к себе просто так и пока вручную не нажать "отключить" отдавать принтер не будет.

Глючная хрень. Несколько раз переставал печатать. Решалось только сбросом настроек. Сейчас даже сброс настроек не помог. Написал об ошибках и проблемах в тех.поддержку, если не ответят, то буду сдавать обратно.

Ужасно кривое ПО
ПО действительно кривое, дальше некуда, следовательно использовать в режиме виртуального порта нет возможности, следовательно и МФУ не будет работать. Зато у этой модельки есть возможность печатать с помощью протокола LPR. После ручной настройки мне очень понравилась его работа, нет ни задержек, ни ошибок при отправке. Оценка 4 только из-за ПО и отсутствия хотя бы еще одного USB, а устройство отличное за свои деньги Инструкция по настройке http://www.tp-linkru.com/article/?id=222

My review as crap stands. It will connect to a printer and print garbage.>>
Printer works great with USB cable plugged directly into it. Move the printer cable to this thing, restart printer, computer, and the device, and nothing is found. Most of the time. Sometimes it is found, then it goes offline within 30 seconds. Which time it takes, roughly, to get the message, exit that program and go to another one where you can print and bang...it is offline before you can hit the print button. It IS possible, according to the onscreen setup, to stop that dies after 30 seconds. But it still won't print.
I have also tried using a USB 2.0 hub, plugging printer and a portable drive into it and then that into the TP-Link device. No Soup for me!
The setup web app doesn't even see into the hub.
I will try again in a day or so, might even try their chat tech support...but I suspect this is an EOL product no longer supported. That's not a a fact, just a guess...since TP-L states on their support site that I have to update the firmware thru the retailer I bought it from, Amazon, and that link does not mention these little fadgets at all so no Soup there either. So I tried the firmware update on the TP-L site, and it failed.
So I've run out of, lets say "desire" to keep messing with this thing for now.
Oh, and much of the instruction (DOCX) obtained from the little CD was in Chinese. Way to Go!

And the second day I started getting stack overflows on driver blue screens - which continued until I could get the software uninstalled.
My network is a bit complex for a home - wireless router in a back room, wireless router slaved to the other in a front room, also connected via PowerLine adapter. The Print Server was attached via another PowerLine adapter next to the kitchen printer. So the signal path was from my laptop, wireless to the home network via one of the wireless routers, back to the Print Server via PowerLine hard wire. Lots of failure points - but the fact that it worked inconsistently says the signal could get through. This from a Dell running Win10. I also loaded the PS software on a Dell running Win7Pro - also had stack overflows, and never did get any output from that laptop.
So - it's going back. Hope you all have better luck. From some reviews it appears to work well for some folks!

I'm only half way through the install - I have it working on one laptop, through my wireless home network and then to the device via PowerLine connections, to the Print Server, connected to the USB printer. Windows 10, older Canon MF4100 series MFP. Works so far with Word documents. Failing so far to print from Office Outlook.
I read of the problems others had, and took the suggestion to configure it using the Random HTT method. I did not get it to work using that method - but created some extra ports and printer defs that are now causing (I think) problems. Once I figure out how to delete those extraneous ports, and printer defs (which show in the drop down selection in Word) I should be able to finish up.
So - my shortcut suggestion is to go ahead, run the CD, follow the directions, and expect success.

1. Instructions say the default IP address is 192.168.0.10. That is incorrect. The default is actually DHCP, so I wasted time troubleshooting why I couldn't connect on the "default" IP.
2. The utility software detects the printer and connects, per instructions. However, when trying to print this way, it would only print an inch or two of the page and quit. To get it to work, I created a standard TCP/IP port, configured for LPR printing, and connected directly to the IP without using the utility. Now it works.
3. I updated the firmware, but the TP-Link website and product make it pretty hard to find out what firmware version is actually on the device and whether there is an updated version available.
So in the end it does a great job, but the setup leaves a lot of room for improvement.

One pro tip I would recommend is going to youtube and searching for the setup video for this model PS and watching the video posted by the user "Random HTT". We followed those steps and had zero problems and these work flawlessly if your users are in a VDI environment as well.

Plugged in power, plugged in to router (no cable included, so buy one if you don't have a spare), plugged in a 4 port USB hub, plugged in the printer and Drobo, installed the software on the desktop and everything worked just fine. Then installed software on laptop and again had no issues in connecting to the devices.
Also ended up plugging a small portable HD in, again with no issues.
My only issue, and it is a minor one, is that (unless I'm mistaken and haven't figured it out yet), when connecting to my Drobo wirelessly on the laptop, the system drive letter is automatically assigned (in my case, the next available drive letter, drive "D:"). On my desktop, I had, and still have, it assigned as drive "Z:". As I've been using it as a "Drive Z" for so long, it'd be nice if I could continue to assign it that letter.

For now, I am going to hook the printer to my Synology NAS, even though it is located in the basement. I have yet to find a reliable printer sharing device which does not cost more than the printer it is connecting to. Quite lame. I am probably better off selling the older printer and buying a newer one that is network-capable.

So, I ordered this gizmo, and was good to go. I went from opening the box to printing in about 5 minutes. There is not a lot I can add to other comments, but a few things:
You may look at this thing and wonder if it is worth the forty bucks or whatever it is now. Now that I am using it, yes. It was easy to install and works flawlessly for my needs. But, again, it is not a commercial print server. If you are buying this for an office, go bigger or you will frustrate people.
If you are going to print from multiple computers, it is a bit painful because the previous user needs to release the printer so the next person can use it. It can be set up to auto-release, but then you must enable it again for every print job. It can be set up to never release, but then the previous user must remember to release it. A true print server manages this situation for you. But you will pay more. For a single user like me, it's perfect.
Follow the printed instructions. Now, in the beginning of the instructions, you are supposed to turn the printer off. Oddly, the instructions never say to turn it on again. Just turn it on after the software is installed and open on your screen.
Also, it does not include any cables. The USB cable, you should already have. You may need to buy a network cable. If so, do it now on Amazon. If you wait and buy it at officemax or even Wmart, you will pay way too much for it.
