Reliably Passes Packets
This simple switch does what it needs to do. It passes packets and dosn't get in the way. I use at home in my non Air conditioned house. It's been on 24/7 for years. in 60F to 102F in low humidity 40% to high humidity 90%. It works with papers stacked on top of it, It works upside down. It's gives good speed for 1Gigabit network's and None of my Nic's have had any trouble with it. For the price it can't be beat. If I had to nitpick something the power input is weird it's not 12V so when your pet chews through the cord you will probably not have a spare power adapter handy.

Product is true to its name and description
A simple and well done product to distribute the incoming internet connection to multiple devices over ethernet connections. It works well since I have a Google Nest wifi router which has only one outbound ethernet port and thus I needed this switch to connect multiple smart home hub devices like Ring Alarm, Arlo Pro, Lutron Caseta bridge, my LG OLED Smart TV, Vonage VOIP landline etc. I still have a couple more ports for more devices. The speed is uncompromised and all devices wireless and wired work very well with the high speed internet.

Good switch for the money
This is a no-frills 8-port gigabit switch in a metal housing. If you need a simple, reliable gigabit switch, this one will do just fine. I put this behind my TV - one wire out of the wall, and I can connect all of my components via Ethernet (smart TV, Tivo, Roku, XBox, etc). This is un-managed so you don't have to fuss with anything. Just plug it in and go. My only comment is that the power jack is on the opposite side from the 8 ethernet jacks - I would like to have seen them all on the same side, or even the power jack on the side (as some other brands have) but that doesn't affect operation in any way - just makes or a little less neat cable management.

Does what its supposed to do
I had the setup all wrong.
Before I had:
Cable > modem > Switch > Wireless router
I thought that was working because I was getting wireless connection and all devices running off the wifi router were fine.
Once I started plugging into the switch; nothing was getting recognized.
After exhausting all my options; I called customer service and a tech told me that my setup was incorrect.
New setup:
Cable > modem > wifi > switch
After fixing those cables up; I plugged my devices in and everything connected instantly.
Before I had:
Cable > modem > Switch > Wireless router

One bad port 100mbps instead of gigabit
I had confidence in these 8port switches so much that I've bought 4 of them over the last year. I'm starting to rethink these because I've just spent hours trying to find out why one computer on one of them is only running at 1000mbps. My first thought was computer drivers... nope... updates and roll backs didn't make a difference. Next was perhaps slow host... nope, same issue accessing multiple hosts. Next perhaps cable, nope same with another CAT6 cable. Perhaps PC. Nope swapping around cables, and connections... same issue on any PC connecting through any CAT 6 cable to the number 5 port. The particular switch I'm having problems with I've only had for a month and half. Real pain.

Plug and play device without the play
Similar to a wide variety of devices this item is supposed to work and augment your network out of the box. Unlike any new switch I have encountered, it simply did not work. I am left with the conclusion that there is no quality assurance because a simply connectivity test would easily and very quickly reveal that network communication does not function. Furthermore there is supposed to be a web configuration tool at 192.168.0.1 .. I was unable to access this tool even when only my PC was connected. Since countless routers and similar devices have no issue working as intended and providing a configurable web interface, I have to conclude that the item I was sent simply doesn't work. My confusion is how such an item would ever be marked as sell-able when it is so easy to test it and see that it doesn't function

It just works
Simple, unmanaged switch...it does what it's supposed to do.
My only complaint is with the jack indicators. There is only a single green LED per jack, and it's recessed below a tiny hole in the metal box, so it's hard to see unless you are looking straight at it. Also, since it's a single color, you can't tell which speed the jack has negotiated to...which isn't a big deal, but can be useful for troubleshooting. I have it mounted in a wall panel and 99% of the time it's going to be out of sight and out of mind...so it really isn't a big deal for me, but worth considering for someone else.
If you are specifically looking for a switch that doesn't put out a ton of light (ie. in a theater room) this would be a good option. Some of the other switches and routers put out enough light to read a book by (like my Netgear Nighthawk router...)

Excellent, sturdy and easy to use Ethernet switch
This is an amazing plug and play ethernet switch. No hassles. No set up. Just plug your CAT cables into this box and the blinking green lights show that your devices are communicating. Nice metal case is a plus. The only thing that would be better is if the data lights were on the front and all of the plugs were on the back. This would look neater sitting on my TV stand where this box is serving my smart TV, smart DVD player and one cable of course that goes to my ethernet signal source. Other than that nit (which seems to exist with all of the ethernet switches I was considering), I am extremely happy with the sturdy construction and flawless performance of this switch.
