- + Прост в настройке, если умеете читать по английски. Стабилен в работе. Прошивка V5.07.15_EN_03 Feb 12 2012. 10,5 Гигабайтный 3D фильм скачал с Казторки на ноутбук по WiFi за 42 минуты. Скорость закачки получилась около 33,3 Мегабита в секунду. Весьма неплохо, учитывая скромную цену в 3000 тенге! По скорости сопоставимо...

- + миленько смотриться и нет торчащих наружу антенн,неплохой радиус действия (есть с чем сравнивать,до него был безантенный Netgear)
- - громадный недостаток в том что режет скорость торрентов и неслабо так режет от 3 до 5 раз,к тому же моя модель с прошивкой размером 760 kb и как заявила служба поддержки они официально в Россию не поставлялись (tenda так . про все роутеры говорит которые не хотят работать,наверное мы их сами из китая вплавь доставляем),в связи с этим отсутствие новых прошивок.
Дешево и сердито не вышло, лучше бы брал проверенный временем и мной самим безантенный Netgear с 802,11n а не экономил 500 р. ради плясок с бубном.
P.S.Танцы с бубном не помогли скорость сильно "плавает",сегодня еду сдавать обратно в магазин и соответственно снижаю оценку.

- + пока не знаю что и как но мне прям понравился, быстро привезли, сразу установили ребята инетчики в нову квартиру ну и занял он своё место под потолком в коридоре)) инет хороший хотя более слабый роутер на другой квартире у этого же провайдера часто с перебоеи даёт сигнал

- + Очень быстрая установка. До этого стоял тоже тэнда, но старенький. Разницу почувствовал сразу. Все гаджеты и телевизоры я имею ввиду смарт ТВ стали быстрее откликается.

I needed to replace a wireless router to get a Wii connected using security. The W268R was the cheapest 4-port wireless router available.I connected cables from Cable Modem to W268R WAN and my PC to a LAN port, and plugged it in. With _zero_ configuration from me, my PC could immediately get to the internet. That made it very easy to download info on getting past the Wii wi-fi security bug. (it can't use long passwords, the workaround is to enter it in hexadecimal)It seems that there are at least 2 hardware versions, based on a Ralink and Broadcomm chipset. I upgraded to the most recent BIOS for mine (Ralink). I guessed my chipset from looking at status info.Besides the Wii, it supports several PCs, wired and wireless, an iPhone 4S, several iPod Touches, and several Android phones. The Apple devices do not have the problems that others have described about keeping connections waking from sleep mode.It's almost unfair to knock this thing at this price, but I have to say that the documentation is not the best. General router knowledge gets you past most things, but not all.Setting it up as a Wireless Access Point (WAP) to extend my wireless network has been frustrating. I can't get it to use WDS protocol with my FiOS router. I've finally settled for setting up a 2nd wireless network and tieing it to the FiOS router.Setting it up as a subnetwork with static routing also got tantalizingly close, but never fully worked. I gave up a LAN port and used the switch to tie it into the FiOS router for a single network.There seems to be no option to turn off NAT and the firewall.For $15, the fact that I can even be complaining about these advanced options pretty much says it all. Most users won't have to worry about it, and for the price of a pizza, they get a solid device.Update: I was able to get WDS working. Main router connected to W268R via WAN port. Under WLAN, under WDS, set it to 'Repeater', use Open Scan, then pick the wireless network to repeat. Go back and set all the SSID, channel and Security settings the same as the main router. I was able to connect to the internet with the same WLAN credentials, with a higher reported connection speed, so it seemed to work. I still could not get it to work as a _wired_ LAN subnet once I moved it to the desired location. So, in the end, it seems like a great $15 Wireless Access Point (WAP), but a poor LAN extender. I'll be trying the TP-Link TL-WR841N next.

My wife brought back this router from a store promotion - free. I brouht 2 D-link Dir601. And I have been trying to use virtual server to monitor my security camera. Latest DLINK DIR-601 has been giving the problem after I changed virtual server setting. Than change SSID. DLINK router wireless connection just disppeared on me. Spend almost days with DLINK support no luck. They said it is my home electronic interference. I did took it my neighbour's house. The same result - no wireless connection available. Return it to amazon. Use this to replace my old router which drop connection every a few hours. This router look cheap (light weight). Set up is different with DLINK. It requires we specify "Dynamic IP" FOR COMCAST because there is no default to use "Dymanic IP" connection, like most router. Most of router use dynamic IP as default which I can just connect to my cable modem will work. This router just need a extra step for most cable internert users. And, I set up call forwarding/virual server which is much easier than DLINK. And, it has been working for a few days without any issue. I am ver pleased with this one. Speed is good. I have been watching stream interenet TV and work at home in the same time. It is still connect to Internet without any problem/drop-connection. Amazing. So far, it is the best router I ever got. I bought so many routers (for my vacation homes). So far, this is the best with this kind of price. No complain. If you know what you are doing. Router is router. Installation is the same - you just need to pick use( set up as Dymanic IP for cable internet), DSL, ...From my point of view, if it work, who need support.Update:I used IP phone, then I found out if my neighbour has the same wireless channel (such as channel 6 which is default), then I got phone problem (my friend can not hear me, I can hear them). After trying, I just need to change my channel to be 9 which has no other router in my neighbourhood having the same channel which has caused interferring with my router. Then everything is fine. Hope my neighbour do not change their channel in the future.

This router is a great buy. Price vs performance, you probably are not going to find better. The only issue that I had with it was that there was some confusion in the setup. Now I don't know if it was exactly the router or me, but it took a while to get it going. In the end, a full reset, restart of the computer and everything solved the problem and it worked fine. Even my Kindle logged in without a hitch.If I had to give any advice, I would say get this router setup as per the recommended instructions without any security in place. Get your computer and the router talking and as with my setup, my cable modem online. After you get that initial signal, then go back and apply wireless security, change the router password and all the rest of the usual stuff.Also, check with the vendor's site for a firmware upgrade. The one I received was pretty well out of date. The Tenda site is really good about listing all the updates, but you should email their support to make sure you are applying the correct one.And...the PDF/Word documentation is really pretty good. Well laid out and informative.Regarding some of the security issues mentioned elsewhere, those are probably valid but I feel for the home based user, what you get is fine to keep out the wireless leachers from stealing signal. If you have real security concerns, then there could be a reason to be sure it gives you what you need. Also, if security is a really big deal, then a $25 router may not a good business choice. For the vast majority of people, it will be fine.Overall, a great purchase at a really good price. A few stumbles on setup, but nothing that was not taken care of quickly.

I am having problems with my tenda router/wireless and I have called the numbers listed on the webpage and I just keep getting an automated message saying "we cant help you" so i called the canada number and it is disconnected. No one responds to emails. So if you buy a Tenda product, do not count on ever getting any product support from them. They say that they return emails in a day and that is not true.I WILL NEVER BUY A TENDA PRODUCT AGAIN

Got from Microcenter free, doesn't work properly, wifi connect dis connect, waste my a lot time conjugating n resetting. Don't waste your money. It's simply trash including 1-800 customer service phone number.

I was given 2 Tenda W268R Wireless-N routers for use at 2 AARP Tax-Aide sites where tax returns are prepared using online tax software. AARP/IRS requirements are to use WPA2 security with passwords to set up secured networks that are accessible only to our designated users. Unfortunately after setting up the Tenda routers with WPA2 security we had frequent internet connection issues as well as dropped printer connections. Very, very frustrating. Tenda customer service advised disabling security as well as SSID broadcasting and using MAC address filters so only the users with the designated MAC addresses would be able to access the network. A solution that is very secure, but not very flexible or user-frendly - if you want to add a new user, you need to access and open the router's setup and enter the MAC address of the new laptop etc. Essentially this means you need someone with router knowledge and experience to make the change; this router is not for the casual user or anyone who is not willing to spend time calling customer support with questions about how to implement a solution to solve a particular problem. The user manual is not very useful to anyone without extensive router knowledge.Cheap router, but it requires someone who is either technically experienced with wireless routers or is willing to spend the time researching and implementing a solution that utilizes the limited security functionality of the router. Bottom line - not for the casual small business or home user.

OK, first I have went thru three of these in ten months with different problems, but two things they all had in common was dropped internet connections and weak signal all the time. Now I can understand dead spots, it's just one of those things you work around, but this thing gives one or two bars out of eight while standing right next to it ten to fifteen times a day and ya know what that means if you are in the next room, no signal. I gave it two stars as it does work. If you need a wifi print hub and want to give your guess a hard time, use this for them.
