This speaker was easy to pair and set up. The app is easy to learn and navigate. The speaker feels well made and looks good. I bought it to give my backyard outdoor TV some better sound and it is great for that. My kids also like to stream music while splashing around in the pool also. They don't throw the speaker in the pool but it's suppose to be water proof. I don't use the lighting effects much but it would be a great party attention getter with a multiple speaker set up. The sound is good, but not amazing. I paid $129 for it and I feel it sounds great for that price point. My only gripe is that I wish it got a little louder....maybe 15-20% louder for my outdoor purposes. It's plenty loud for indoor use.

Sony has done it again! I have purchased many bluetooth speakers over the years. Some great, some not so great. This speaker hits all the right notes in many areas, waterproof, easily portable and simply amazing sound. The bass is superb; very rich. This speaker can easily fill up a medium sized room with great sound and it is my go to speaker when I'm going out and about. It fits easily in my shoulder bag, battery lasts long and I can have great music to listen to when I'm out with my camera or tablet all the time. If you're looking for a high quality bluetooth speaker and don't want to break the bank, then for $100 you've hit the jackpot! Thanks, Sony!!

Let's start with the good stuff. The sound quality is great, with the bass being just enough to be impressive without being overwhelming. The lights provide a very interesting visual aesthetic to the music that is playing, and can be customized (or turned off).

Now the not so good: if you are using an iPhone to play audio over Bluetooth, the Auto Standby mode that turns the speaker off after 15 minutes DOES NOT work. I thought there was an issue with my speaker, but this is a known issue at Sony, with the online help guide explicitly mentioning the following:

"When the speaker is connected to an iPhone/iPod touch via a BLUETOOTH connection, the auto power off (Auto Standby) function is disabled."

Given that I mainly use this at night to listen to music as I fall asleep, the battery life goes out the window, with the speaker staying connected to my phone all night. This also causes issues if I use my phone for something else, and it thinks it should send the audio to my speaker.

This issue alone is resulting in a return.

This Sounded even better than expected. I was going to buy another one and use them in stereo, but honestly it sounds so good with some smaller Sony Speakers linked XB23's that I am instead using this as a main speaker, party linked to two satellites in my room. It is fantastic just like that, especially with all the sound tweaking you can do with the app. If the Price lowers in the future I probably will get another for stereo pairing, but honestly it does fine by itself. The portability is flawwed in that it is very heavy for it's size (which is just good quality actually) but has no handle. I solved this by buying a custom case with a handle for it so that is not a big deal, and it allows me to carry cables and stuff in the case. I can carry it around easily with the case and it is not as heavy or bulky feeling with the good handle. It would have been nice to have it incorporated somehow, but actually an external case is a better solution, leaving the speaker itself to be designed JUST for SOUND. Databyter

This is a huge and super heavy speaker. They made it extra bass but only if you set the speaker at 100% volume. I bought the JBl extreme 2 for the same price when it was on sale and it is way better than this. The sound of the Sony is unclear and unbelievably low when you listen to it below 80%. Even if you turn to 100% volume, it sounds very unbalanced because the bass is way way more than everything.

Not worth the buy. It plays for 3.5 hours max. I’m at work and I can’t step way to recharge it. For that price it better play over 5 hours. The little jpl clip I had played for 8 hours before I had to recharge it.

This speaker is awesome! I had bought a sonos speaker and returned it due to lack of bluetooth and ease of use. This sony speaker has exceeded all my expectations. Long battery life, superb sound, and you gotta love the lights on the box. I highly recommend this bluetooth speaker!

So far, very pleased with this speaker. The sound is great. Overall, Sony tends to weight the sound of their speakers towards bass; but the Sony app allows me to tweak the EQ to my liking right from my phone.

I've used it for podcasts, for music, so far only around the house. It's more than adequate to fill a room with sound, so it's definitely meeting my needs.

I play guitar, and I've used it as the 'band' backing track for practice sessions. Perfect for that. It's plenty loud to keep up with my amp at 'home' volumes. Again, it's bass / mid heavy, so I had to goose the treble quite a bit for the symbols to cut enough over the mids from my amp. A more balanced sound is better for that application.

I used to have creative, klipsch, and bose desktop speakers, from 2.1 to 7.1 and everything inbetween, held off on bluetooth speakers for so many years because I heard too many distorted crappy hip hop music in public.

These are incredible. They sound about the same/even better than youtube reviews (I came across this channel gymcaddy, had a bunch of really in depth and detailed comparisons and sound samples for xb33 vs other similar speakers). They feel great to hold, lights are cool but I rarely use them to maximize battery (didn't buy a speaker for the lights). I think these are the most optimal compromise between sound quality, price, and portable size for biking.

The sound quality on this speaker is excellent. It picks up bass mid and treble very well. I can feel three build quality every time I pick it up... Its solid and the buttons are very responsive rubber. I like to use it in my home office as a conference speaker and it exceeded my expectations there also. I gave it 4 stars because i think its a little overpriced at $80. I get that I'm paying for the Sony name, but I think it should be more like $65.

Третий класс Amazon service....
я ненавижу динамики, звук отстой.... также Amazon отказалась принять мой запрос на возврат. Rs11450 впустую......................................... Динамик отключался на 3 секунды, и он подключился... Происходит каждые 30 минут.... Амазонка дала замену, у которой была сломана печать, и они инициировали возврат денег... Благодаря Амазонки высоко оценил......<бр /><бр />сейчас идет на динамик не покупайте этот кусок дерьма это третье качество баса не стоит rs11500.......
я уже старый xb30 и это в два раза больше баса, чем эта так называемая новая версия.....
и не стоит слепо доверять любой марки идут croma ,продажа Виджай и услышать звук....
это политика Amazon изменил они не принимаем возвращается только замена имейте это в виду...

Tengo la xb41 que sonaba muy bien solo que le faltaba un poco de claridad, apenas vi que salio la xb43 me intereso ya que este modelo traía los twiter lo cua la xb41 no. Apenas la probe el sonido me encantó, mejoraron todo en ese aspecto y tiene mejor calidad de sonido que la xb41. Es un poco mas grande y mas pesada pero es perfecta para mi gusto

этот динамик xb33-умопомрачительный динамик в своем ценовом диапазоне , он не очень большой , но идеальный размер , чтобы носить его повсюду с собой в поездки, поездки на машине, к друзьям, на вечеринку и наверняка украсть шоу. Бас идеально подходит для его размера, и вы можете чувствовать стук и все еще быть загипнотизированным. Качество звука слишком хорошее и почти может конкурировать с bose sound touch 30, так как я владею им и проверил его по-настоящему. Громкость этого динамика совершенно хороша, так как он охватывает довольно большую площадь вокруг себя , может с легкостью охватить 100 метров. Зарядка от 0 до 100 в течение 5 часов с помощью выходного зарядного устройства 5v-2a, а если вы используете выходное зарядное устройство 5v-3a (которое является оптимальным зарядным входом для этого динамика), то для полной зарядки от 0 потребуется до 3 часов.

Sounds fine but I'm not an audiophile. It fills my 500 sq ft apt well enough. My only gripe is that you can't disable the BT voice yelling "blue tooth connected". It also doesn't automatically re-establish the BT connection when I get home, though I haven't investigated this. For now, I have to select the device from the list and connect. The mic works for phone calls. I took a brief call and it was issue free. I would buy this again and am considering get more of them.

I like everything about this speaker. As portable BT speakers go it’s easy to pair and produces sound quality that more than satisfies my tastes and needs. I use it in the gym exclusively. Price is excellent for the quality provided.

The App that goes along with it needs some work, but for the most part it syncs well with extant libraries and playlists.

I'm not the speaker mogul, myself. So I really don't have much to compare the XP33 to. The sound quality is great. The features - the lighting, ability to pair multiple devices, and the ability to connect multiple music sources and have control of the music are all great. I especially love the last feature. However, the sound is seriously lacking. This speaker is designed for close quarters. It does the job for myself personally, however, my boyfriend waited for this device to come out and was incredibly excited. When I got it for him, he was severely disappointed and wanted to return it. Overall, i'd give it 4 stars. I have to give credit where credit is due, but the fact that it isn't very loud is a serious disappointment.

Had an older model that I liked and use at work. Wanted one for at home for my office for listening to my Amazon music or Audible books while working. Love the way it pairs so easily to any device. Has great sound quality. Charge lasts for quite a while. I use it off and on so don't know how long for continual use. I guess the only thing I didn't like was that the USB C-type charge cord was only a foot long so a little impractical. But easy enough to pick up a longer cord. Not a deal breaker, since speaker works and sound great.

Great sound and bass. It does sound bass heavy, but that was the intent. It is a solid and heavy which prevents it from jumping around on its own. Lights turn off with a button and uses usb c to charge. Easy to pair. There is no way to set the lights to always off, no carey strap either. Compared to the JBL extreme the water proofing seems better, sound is not as full, but better battery life. I trust Sony warrenties also as a 30+ yr Sony audio user. Sounds odd but the Sony mp3 walkman sound awesome on this over Bluetooth.

A solid improvement over the XB-32. It sounds clearer and is much louder. The lights are cool. Haven't tested a full charge but got about 8 hours off of a 50% charge at 80% volume with the lights on. Also bought the XB23. In stamina mode both sound terrible especially the XB23. Both are louder and clearer than their predecessor.

Satisfied with the sound quality and loudness. Have been listening twice a week for a month, it's loud enough for the area around a resort's built in pool. The sound inside the 90 degree cone is excellent but highs fall away to the sides. The sound when standing on end is almost as good as horizontal. The "live" wide mode is slightly effective indoors but impairs the sound quality outdoors at high volume. Played at full volume for 5 hours and still had 30% battery remaining. I'd give it 5 stars if it were under $175 but at $250 it's a 4.

Needed a different bluetooth speaker for the upcoming yard work. I have always been a Sony fan and this product has kept up with my expectations. I needed something that was waterproof to bring outside and didn't feel like bringing out my SRS-X55's outside since it's not made for that at all. The speaker is quite light and the bass is plenty for me. I already have the 'Music Center' app from my other Sony Bluetooth speakers but you do need to install that to take advantage of all of the features.

Its not bad. I got it to replace my megaboom for the shower since the megaboom doesn't skip songs very well. The megaboom definitely has a better sounding speakers that hit a lot harder. Overall its not bad though I like being able to hang it and I like having actual buttons to control the music and battery level readout button.

Я все еще использую свой динамик xb2.. должен сказать ... soundwise...единственная разница, которую я чувствую, заключается в том, что xb43 поставляется с лучшей четкостью звука и басами ... но не так громко, как xb2 ... оба динамика обеспечивают одинаковую длину волны звука, но xb43 упаковывает дополнительные басы и четкость, вот и все.. Я искал более громкий звук . Поэтому я лично чувствую, что они могли бы упаковать больше звука, чем предыдущая серия.

Только для любителей вечеринок, не воспроизводящих всю музыку, sony потерпела неудачу в этом time.im из Тамилнаду, когда я слушаю песню "thenmerku paruvakatru" из ARR music через amazon prime music,мне буквально не хватает звука дождевых капель из этой песни, OMG, это действительно шокирует меня, как известный бренд sony разрабатывает такой продукт.Хорошим фактором является то, что я купил этот продукт по меньшей цене по сравнению с его рыночной ценой ( Best buy USA) через GIF благодаря amazon.

Я думал, что заказал блок "черного" цвета, но получил блок "синего" цвета, и детали моего заказа, похоже, отражают то же самое. Интересно, почему? Динамик довольно обычный-по звуку. Я использовал JBL Flip (оригинальный) и искал апгрейд. Это был неправильный выбор, хотя я получил его всего пару часов назад. Отдельного зарядного устройства нет, ему нужно зарядное устройство 1,5 а. AUX-порт отсутствует. Мальчик, я действительно разочарован этим звуком. Он звучит приглушенно и скованно. Приложение Sony Music Center довольно простое и не делает ничего, чтобы помочь настроить плохой звук, кроме включения неэффективного трехполосного эквалайзера. Это определенно нет, нет! Не повторяй моей ошибки. Избегайте любой ценой.

Не хватает энергии. Громкость хороша только для прослушивания у кровати. Не тусовщик. Если вы ищете настоящий удар, ищите в другом месте. Управление очень резиновое и не очень удобное. Вы можете пропустить этот продукт.

Sony, как обычно, поставила гладкое аудиоустройство, хотя оно и говорит о дополнительных басах, trebel - это Нью-Йорк,но определенно не устройство с преобладанием Басов. У него есть микрофон, который отсутствует в JBL flip5, и это одна из причин выбора этого устройства

Звук на более низких уровнях низкий по сравнению с JBL Charge 4, но такой же на более высоких уровнях. Таким образом, если вы хотите слушать громкую музыку, она будет потреблять больше заряда батареи, а качество звука также не так хорошо, как jbl charge 4. бас хороший, но звук не очень четкий.

The 43 is a big step up from the 33. It's about twice the weight and sounds considerably better. It's a solid speaker with decent sound in mono, better sound with two paired and even better sounding when paired in stereo. Pairing is easy. Turn off the blu-tooth source. Place both speakers close to each other. Turn them on. Open rear cover and press the ST pair button once and release then do the same on the other speaker. One will say it's the left or right speaker and the other will state the other. Turn on the blu-tooth source. adjust volume down on the source before playing music. I couldn't figure out any way to have two pairs of stereo speakers paly through one device.
We took 4 of these to the cottage and connected them all and then added in a 33. By placing one in a central outside location we had sound over an area with approx. a 100 ft. diameter with one even inside. Pretty cool. It was possible to adjust the volume on each unit. The source (an ipod touch) could be used to raise the volume on all of them from one place. At a reasonable volume level with the bass activated they played for hours and the battery was still at 70%.
Not sure they're worth the full price but when they're on sale for about $200 two or more are a good buy.

Purchased to replace my 3 year old Sony Xb-30 which I enjoyed for sometime. Didn't upgrade the last 2 iterations xb31-xb32 because it was basically just cosmetic upgrades. Same 48mm Drivers, same passive radiators. This time its all new. New X-balanced driver units, passive radiators now fire out the sides. This thing pounds even though there less driver excursion than the previous models but 30 percent increase in sound pressure. And the EQ in the app is a must for getting the most out of your own listening preferences. Set the app once and the speaker will remember the EQ settings. Oh and love NFC just tap the top of speaker and it will turn on and automatically connect to bluetooth and App.

Après une utilisation de quelques semaines je recommande cet appareil.
Des amis ont différentes versions de ce type de haut parleur et encore cela demeure du Sony, la qualité du son , les matériaux , la fiabilité , le souci du détail, tout est bien pensé.
Le Bluetooth ne se fait pas prier, les instructions sont intuitives le seul bémol est l'absence du niveau de charge de la batterie. Le moment de la recharge est une baisse du niveau sonore, plutôt désagréable en session d'écoute.

Très beau son, lumière festive ajoute au produit. Il accepte les codecs Bluetooth LDAC ce qui a mon avis ajoute èa la qualité du son. Par contre il est un peu pesant 3 kg. il est peu probable que nous nous en servions en dehors de notre propriété. J'ai acheté un étui de transport au cas ou le besoin se ferait sentir. Bon produit. J'ai hésité avec le Bose Resolve + qui était plus facilement transportable et dont le son est aussi bon mais le Sony a le codec LDAC ce qui est un petit plus.

Got this for my gf and she loves it. She thinks it's a bit heavy but that's just a sign that it bangs imo. But yea it kicks ass and is loud enough for outdoors and the sound quality from something that (relatively) small is incredible. Lights are a great function and great to zone out to while ripping bong.

Quite disappointed, sound quality is average at best, the xb31 has better sound and bass quality than this, for how large this speaker is I was definetly expecting more from it.
