I am a fan of Sony products I have lots but I had to return this speaker. It doesn't pair to the xb41. Sam e line older speaker. It actually only pairs with the newest models. So if you feel like buying a whole bunch of new speakers every time you wanna add a new one when the next generation is out this is for you. Really disappointed. Will probably switch to a different brand.

The first thing you'll notice when coming from lower end 5W or 10W speakers is the amount of bass you'll get at lower volumes. The light show came off as gimmicky before I got this delivered, but proved to be much more entertaining than I'd like to admit.
The speaker is a bit hefty though, so if portability is not your top priority, just go for it.

First, most importantly, do NOT buy from a Third Party Seller, like "EP Pro!!". Go with Amazon itself. I tested the xb43 and found it could not connect to the older model and the bass was totally missing for this new model. When I tried to return, the seller told me there would be a 5% to 40% restocking fee depending on their judgment, and also, the return postage was on me. Well, the seller"EP Pro!!", you are not a street retailer. If items sold by Amazon will give a much better service at the same price, why the customers choose you. And the seller constantly belittled the customer by repeating it is the customer's fault to order an item by mistake. It is not ordering an item by mistake, but really, it's an item that was wrongly described and could not meet the requirement, like the quality of bass. Markedly, Amazon customer service was very helpful.
For the XB43 itself, I do not recommend it, either. It misses Bass, which should be the most important feature of it. Also, be prepared for the pairing issue if you have an old model.

I compared this XB-33 side-by-side to the JBL Charge 4. The Charge 4 was pretty good especially with its 3.5mm jack option, but the XB-33 won with the option to play with LED lights and EQ through the app. It also seems to have no audio lag while watching Netflix and Youtube. The charge 4 had some audio lag with YT for me.
Now I use this daily with my old PC and take it out when playing basketball and relaxing in the back yard.

The sound clarity is just amazing on this speaker. 70% volume is enough to fill the room. The design built quality is so good that you confidently take it along wherever you go. This speaker is stylish comes with a blutooth 5.0 which ensures there is no lag unlike other speakers that sell for the same price and offer bluetooth 4.2 . Overall I am satisfied and highly recommend music lovers to get this.

Very upset with this purchase and did not expect such poor sound quality from Sony. I am using the JBL Flip 4 and instead of going for JBL Flip 5 I opter for the Sony -SRS-XB23. In the same price range the JBL is far far superior in sound and build quality.
Do not waste your money on this speaker. Poor Bass, Poor sound quality.

build is good,
connectivity is nice can smoothly work up above 30 feet i suppose,
battery life is good,
easy to use,
hands free calls are hassle free, simply noise free calls, can capture and deliver the voices over an impressive range,
after all the tag says all!

It's a very brilliant sound quality like Sony always delivers. My only reason not to give it a 5 star is the charger wire that's way too small and needs a specific place for charging where the speaker could be kept very close. Otherwise no complains against its sound quality and features.

It's an amazing product. Tested waterproof. Sound is absolutely clear, fills the room. A little low on volume compared to UE Boom 2, but much clearer and all rounded. For the price and variety of colors , it's a must buy!
