The build quality and simple design reminded me of the early Sony Pro /Semi-Pro products from the late 1980s, early 1990s. I still have & occasionally use some Sony tape decks, cd players, VHS, Walkman, etc. from then, and they are fully functional, virtually indestructible.
Overall, no frills, utilitarian, and by that I mean in in the best possible way - straightforward interface, easy menu structure, almost fully customize-able settings, and no treating the user like an incompetent adolescent incapable or of manually controlling every configuration (ehm ehm, not an apple "i-moron" product) ).
Plenty of reviews out there on the functionality of the recorder as well as its limitations; so I guess my sole reason for writing this review is that I was impressed and happy to find an actual pro-built product in an era dominated by disposable junk.
