The Navi controller is a much needed upgrade from just using the other normal Playstation controller. It fits very nicely in your hand, and it's wireless so there's no worry about getting any wires tangled or anything like that.Overall, I'd say this is a must buy for anyone using the Playstation Move.

I am shocked to see several positive reviews for this controller considering the fact that it is useless.This is NOT entirely comparable to the Wii's nunchuk. The move navigation controller contains no accelerometers and is NOT motion sensitive. This requires you to use two Move 'wand' controllers to perform similar motion gaming to what the Wii's Remote/nunchuk combo can do.You can use the dual shock 3 controller as a substitute. It may be bulkier but in actuality it really isn't a big deal and performs identically in those extremely rare games that require analog to begin with.You can only connect TWO of them. Most 4-player Wii games are nunchuk-less BUT you can still connect 4 of them. Not the case here, only four Move devices can be used at one time. Meaning if you have two navigation controllers in use, you can only use two Move 'wand' controllers unless you turn off one or both navigation controllers (another reason to use the dual shock 3)Save your money, spend it on a game. Heck spend it on a dual shock 3 or another Move controller. You don't need this

Absolutely a must buy if multiple children in family. The kids love having one on their hands that assigned to them. More can play and get into the action!

I know I had the same question as everyone else when it came to the Nav controller, and it was do I really need it?Well, I know you are not required to have one in order to enjoy any move games but you might like it when you have to use it for FPS games. Because using a dualshock in one hand can get quite tiring and hard on the hand. I like the nav controller and it has taken some getting used to but that comes with anything new. I do recommend the Nav controller if you plan on playing games where you need to navigate characters on screen, because the design makes it really more comfortable than the traditional remote.I plan on buying one more just so I have two, in case I have a friend wanting to play some co-op or multiplayer FPS games. Give it a try or if you will only play games with no navigating characters then save your money for another accessory!

When I first got my Move bundle, I did not get this control. I promptly corrected that oversight after attempting to play games beyond the included Sports Champion one.This control is, in essence, the left side of the standard PS3 control, plus the X and O buttons. Why do you need half a control, you ask, when you already have the full one? Because it quickly becomes extremely cumbersome to try to hold and use a two-handed control with your left hand while swinging a sword (or whatever else) with your right hand. The Navigation Control is a perfect weight/size, as opposed to the lopsided/heavy feel of the Dualshock control when using it with one hand. (Don't get me wrong, I have no complaints with the Dualshock control when using it with standard games...it just doesn't feel right when using it with Move games, however).5/5 stars for an excellent accessory to the Move system

I don't know really what write about this navigation controller since I haven't used it yet. I can't really seem to find any reason to use it in the first place, but maybe I haven't played a game that needed it yet. I have two Move controllers (glowing ball at the top controller) so I used them for anything where two hands is needed. If you know you are going to need this then check it out but as far as I have seen, you should just get another regular Move controller for things like archery, boxing and etc.

I bought the controller to use with the Sony PS3 sniper rifle for SOCOM 4 and Killzone 3. Once calibrated, it works perfect and makes the play more realistic.

The name of the controller is as it is called. It is used for navigation of the XMB on the PS3. It is essentially half of a DS3 controller with very basic functionality. My current catalog of Move games do not take advantage of this controller. Gripping the controller feels a little different than holding the Move controller itself as it is considerably smaller as well as using it since many have been used to using both hands with the DS3. Like any new controller it just takes some time to adjust to the changed interface.

I bought this for NBA2K11 since you have to use the sixaxis controller for some of the game play along with the move controller. I thought that it would automatically be compatible, but it is not. Make sure you pay attention to the top corner of the game that you have bought. It will tell you what is compatible with the game. If you see a navigation controller, then you can use it and it is worth buying. Unfortunately for me, I do not have anything compatible with the navigation controller so far, so this purchase has been proven to be completely useless as of now.

I bought the navigation controllers along with an additional move controller to complement the bundle starter pack I bought for a Christmas present. Everything arrived super fast! Although the navs came in time for the big Christmas reveal, we were unable to use them with the Sports champion game that is included with the bundle. I was semi-disappointed that they just sat there unused since I bought them to be played with that day. BUT I love the look and feel of the controller. Buttons are firm and the curvature overall gives for a better grip. Much better than the Wii.

So, I purchased a Navigation controller expecting it to be like the Nunchuck attachment for the Wii controller. Well, it isn't. As of yet, I see no reason to have this controller. There may be games coming out in the future that will utilize the Navigation controller, but right now there aren't many (according to my local GameStop staff) and none I would want to play. Your best bet is to go ahead and spend the $25 on another Move controller because you are going to need it to play multiplayer on the Move games and also because several of the Move games can utilize 2 of those controllers.

I bought the Move Kit that includes a single motion controller and the eye camera. I added this controller to the order with the assumption that it was a motion controller and that it would allow two-handed control in Move-enabled games that come with the kid (ie archery, gladiator, etc). I was wrong. What I really needed was another "Motion" controller. So I suppose it's my fault for buying the wrong product but why does it have to be so confusing? Apparently this thing is supposed to work with some other Move games so I guess it's no a total waste but right now, on Xmas morning, it's as useless as teets on a bull.

The nav controller is pretty much a duelshock rolled into one piece to fit in your hand. everythings laid out nicely and it fits in your hand perfectly. Has the analog stick, x and o button, d-pad, and the L1 and L2 buttons. The L2 feels nice as it has a little curve to it now, so your fingers dont slide off(never had that problem, just heard people complain before) It doesn't take nearly as long to charge compared to the motion controller. Does not come with a strap which I heard people complaining, but you dont swing it. no need to be moving it, so that why theres no strap. Been using it as i play heavy rain, which i really love with the move. Theres about 3 games out right now that youll need this nav controller for, and more in the future. if you want to play RE5, MAG, or heavy rain, then I say go buy this. If not, just wait on it then. All in all, this is a great addition to the controllers and comes in handy.

Got this elsewhere open box not too long after Move came out. Glad I didn't pay full price. I've only used this with heavy rain so far and it's great for that--moving around where your character walks. Though not sure why the square and triangle button aren't on it. But, those buttons are on the regular move controller so it's fine. Things to be aware of is that there is no rumble feature on it. Not sure why cause it's a little weird only feeling the rumble in one hand only when holding this and the move controller. Also, there's no motion on this but I guess that might go without saying as it's just a navigation controller. Overall a good buy as long as you don't pay full price. I'm just hoping they come out with a rumble featured navigation controller soon.

I did not confuse this as a motion controller as other reviews did, obviously it's not, it states that it's an addition to. However it doesn't tell you that it will only work on certain move games, would be nice if it told you which ones. I bought it specifically for NBA 2K11, obviously you would want this stream lined Navi controller while simulating shooting a basketball with the motion controller right? Wrong, can't use it, have to hold onto the dual shock with one hand.................

The Move Navigation Controller (why didn't they come up with a catchier name??) is totally non-essential but is quite useful to have to go with the PlayStation Move Controller. It gives you the left analog stick (with L3) and the D-pad (plus a few PS3 buttons) which makes it really easy to navigate characters as well as around menus, such as the XMB. It's ergonomic which means it's comfortable to hold in your secondary hand and very easy to use. And, of course, it's Bluetooth wireless and pairs painlessly with the PS3.I really wish they were not so greedy and made this cheaper. I think something this simply should cost no more than 15 bucks. Then everybody should get one, which means Sony (and Amazon) would have made more money. Sigh.If you have some extra dough or find this one sale somewhere, go for it. It's perfect for the Move.

Most Playstation Move shooters coming out like Killzone 3 and Socom 4 require this in order to play. You have to be able to move your guy around right? So you need this navigation controller for the analog stick. Anyhow, get it. Killzone 3 is awesome, and I recommend getting this and the SHARPSHOOTER.

I made the mistake of assuming the navigation controller worked like the Wii's nunchuck, but it doesn't. If you want to use two controllers in a Move game, you need two Move controllers. The "Navigation controller" doesn't do anything you can't do with the regular playstation controller, and there is no use for either while playing any current Move game.There is no reason anyone would rather have this than their $30. A rock would do just as good of a job at enhancing your gaming experience.

This works extremely well with Resident Evil 5. Note, that RE 5 is not an easy game to use a gun attachment. Using this with just the move works really well in RE 5.I've used this with the ps3 move battle rifle and that is perfect for the Shoot and Dead Space Extraction.This is very light and comfortable. Keep in mind that this does not come with charging cord or wrist strap.

The quality of the stick is very good, it is firm and solid. It is easy to hold in youre hands (although while playing different kind of games the hold of it becomes more difficult, but that depends on the game). Battery life is also very good. For the price, I would recommend buying one.

This controller is only necessary for very limited games that require the use of the left thumbstick on the standard dual shock controller (standard PS3 controller). The only advantage to having this controller is so that you don't have to hold a dual shock controller with one hand (left hand). The games that require this navigation controller can still be played without purchasing this extra piece of hardware (controller).
