OK, so I bought a Playstation Eye and a couple Move controllers. The Navigation controller completes the set. The quality and workmanship of the device are good, but not great, in my opinion. I've seen better items with Playstation branding. All the buttons work fine, and give good feed back when pushing them. The reason I am giving Navigation controller 4 stars instead of 5 is because it didn't come with a wrist strap, which I feel is essential and should have been included. I don't know if this was a glitch or if all Nav controllers come with out one. Also, to those interested, the controller comes in a plastic blister pack with is annoying to open. But unless you want to risk buying a used one, I don't see how you have much choice.

Buen producto con excelente maufactura; al principio pense que no era muy util; sin embargo, al tener que jaugar juegos de accion (shooter game) con playstation move en una mano y un control dualsohc iii en la otra; te das cuenta que te hace falta un contrl mas liviano y adecuado. Es por ello que lo recomiendo ampliamente.

This was originally titled the "sub-controller" and that was much more fitting. Sony is somehow getting away with charging $30 for half a dual-shock. Only, it's not really half a dual-shock as it features NO RUMBLE. So, you're getting half a six-axis, right? NO. There is NO motion control feature included for your $30. This, to me, is the most disgusting thing about the Move setup, especially considering you REALLY DO need the navigational controller for games like RE5 and Heavy Rain (you can play with half a dual-shock, but it gets to be very uncomfortable very fast).I can almost guarantee Sony will add rumble to the navigational controller within the next 6 months (probably prior to the release of Killzone 3). So, if you're not a hardcore gamer, I'd wait. If you ARE and you REALLY want to use motion control on RE5 and Heavy Rain, I would recommend this, albeit reluctantly at this price.Is there anything wrong with the controller? Not really. It's well designed and mostly comfortable. The bumper button is too close to the thumbstick, which can lead to numb fingers and a sore wrist, but if you don't have large hands, this may not be a problem. Sony just needed to add either motion or rumble or both to justify this price. Nintendo charges $19.99 for their sub-controller (IE - "nunchuck") and it has motion control.The navigational controller would be priced right at $19.99 with rumble. Or at $9.99 as it currently is. Better yet, Sony could have included it in the starter pack and made everyone happy.

A lot of fun with a ps3 move sharpshooter. Works great I had no problems with it. Great games to use with would be resistance 3 or killzone 3.

Many users are confused and i can understand the anger people are feeling right now. I have NBA 2k11, and Heavy Rain which does require both controllers and the camera. This is the Nun-Chuck of the PS3's Move controller, without the Navigation controller the characters can not move at all, and you are going to be stuck with moving your character on a dualshock which is not the right way to go. Here is why you need to get the Move Bundle and the navigation controller controller,The Move Bundle comes with.1.The PS3 Eye(to track the movement of your Move Controller(the lighting ball one)2.The Move Controller(makes characters perform actions such as shooting,closing opening etc)And the Navigation controller is just essential because without it you are only playing on half a controller. The navigation controller is not bad at all, i controlled this on Heavy Rain and NBA 2k11 it performs really well, controls are hard at first, but you do get use to the feeling of moving your character around, it almost makes you feel like you are the action of the game. Please be sure to remind other's or tell your friends about this if they did not know about this information. I hope i helped out people who did not understand that the Navigation controller needs both the PS3 eye and the Move Controller. Thank You.

I tried to refrain from getting this to go along with my Move Motion Controller, as it isn't necessary. But playing the shooter games in modes requiring to move, using wireless controller on one hand while holding gun on the other just doesn't seem to be as immersive as I can be.So I got this along with the Sony PS3 Sharp Shooter that holds both the Motion and this Navigation Controller, and it feels more realistic. The games I tested with includes Time Crisis Razing Storm and KillZone 3, both in campaign/story mode.First time pairing for me require USB connection to console. Subsequent pairings do not require (I have external third party charging dock).It only has L1 and L2. No L3 or R buttons but I can understand that. There is no select/start buttons also and I think this is an inconvenience for me. Yes they can be found on the Motion Controller, but would be nice to have on this as well so I don't have to take my hand off it and find the buttons else where to interrupt the game.I have not tried other Move games that can benefit from Navigation Controller, but I highly recommend it for shooting games requiring controlling the movement.

You need this controller to play Killzone3 with Move and will most likely need it for Resistence 3 and Bioshock Infinite Move support. It is basically what the nunchuck controller on Wii, which you needed for playing games like Metriod Prime Trilogy with motion controls, but it has a few more buttons and you don't have to wire it to the main Move controller a big plus, I always hated that cord on Wii. It works decent as getting around XMB and a DVD/Blu-ray controller since it is smaller and can be controlled in one hand, only problem it doesn't have a triangle button which isn't used that often but sometimes you need it but I like using it for basic movie watching functions. Also works with Heavy Rain.

While this attachment does come to good use in certain games, it simply is not worth 20 bucks. You could better yet invest that cash into a game for your new Move setup. It makes navigating games a breeze, but it doesn't contain any motion AT ALL. Honestly, hold your cash and just use your regular PS3 controller.

While the navigation controller isn't really needed right now for any of the PS3 move games yet it's still nice to have it ready and can still be tested with demos an the like for right now if wanted as well, and for $30.00 dollars I felt it was a great bargain anyway since I know I'll be getting games like Killzone 3 an the like later on in the future anyway so why not have it on hand. The controller does feel a little like the Wii's nun chuck controller but that's to be expected as well so no surprises there, the controller fits snugly in your hand without feeling slippery or that it's going to drop to the ground by accident though I wish it did come with a wrist strap though but I'm sure we can buy a $2.00 dollar strap later on if need be so nothing to worrisome to think about for anyone. The buttons are stationed at easily accessible areas on the controller so no fighting to try and hit any of them during a gunfight or hardcore fighting level, and setting it up for your PS3 console was as easy as it was with the Motion controllers which again was very appreciative son no headaches of having to hit a connect button on the remote and than on the gaming console trying to make them read each other an the like. So is this worth getting right now?, I say that at most it would have to be up to the buyer while again there aren't any games that really need the navigation controller right now it does help knowing that you already own it when a game does finally comes out and your not stuck having to try and scrounge for money or hurrying to the gaming store to buy one because you find out that the game needs the navigation controller after all..

overall it is OK, but for me, I would rather use the dualshock3 instead. they seem to be more responsive and less confusing

It's the Sony branded navigation controller so it is probably more costly than third party controllers. Very reliable, depending on your objective you may want to shop around before pulling the trigger on this one.

This little controller is a great addition to the PS Move controller. It's almost mandatory for you to get this. They try to pitch that this is optional because you can use the PlayStation 3 Dualshock 3 Wireless Controllerbut it's uncomfortable and trying to maneuver it in a less frustrating spot is almost impossible. The best way I could come up with was to try and hold it up with the side of my leg. After a hour or so of gaming like this I immediately ran to the store and bought the Navigation Controller. First impressions was how well it's build. This controller feels and looks solid. The joystick doesn't have a track to fall in like how on the Wii's nunchuck. The joystick moves very smooth and has the same rubber on the top as the DS3. The controller comes in those plastic clam packaging, it does take time to open but you know it's very well protected. Nothing is really included with the controller. The only thing it comes with is the reference guide. I was hoping it came with a strap but it doesn't. You may think this controller has too many buttons but every button is needed. Thankfully, everything was well planned before release. I plugged it into my Mac to charge. It took about an hour to charge then I synced it with my PS3 just by plugging the USB wire into the PS3. The controller feels thick to me. It doesn't feel natural like how the move does. It takes some time to get use to the design and I'm still on the learning curve. I highly recommend this controller. It does what its suppose to do and it does it well.
