Камера в целом неплохая для своей цены. Из минусов пока считаю не слишком шуструю фокусировку и очень очень слабую фото съемку. отснято пока 4 часа видео.

- + Отличное качество видео в формате HD.
Отличная стабилизация. Компактная, хорошо сидит в руке. Автоматическое открывание/закрывание крышки объектива. Наличие USB в рукоятке камеры. - - -нет hdmi кабеля в комплекте;
-нужно дополнительно покупать карту памяти минимум на 32 Gb - чтобы снимать в HD и не возиться каждый день с переливанием...

- + Камера превзошла ожидания. Это у меня уже 4-я в/камера, но первая HD и на SD (ранее были кассетные).
Очень компактная. К сенсорному экрану надо привыкнуть, но удобно потом.
Понравилась функция прямого копирования с камеры на внешний USB диск, может пригодиться в дороге (если не с собой ноутбука). Сбока - Китай, но каких-либо дефектов сборки не нашел...

Пользуюсь камерой около 3 месяцев.Летал с семьей на Мальдивы и снимал там.В условиях жары отлично работала,снимал океан на закате,потом смотрел на 42" жк full hd.Качество записи необыкновенное,яркие краски,вообще к качеству записи нареканий нет.Кто собирается много снимать купите дополнительный аккумулятор.Его я тоже купил в Мвидео.Так что берите Сони и снимайте с удовольствием,не смотрите что сборка Китай.Все отлично работает.

- + Хорошее качество изображения при видеосъемке; четкая работа автофокуса и стабилизатора, вследствие чего - простота пользования; полная и понятная инструкция; легкость и удобство подключения к компьтеру и телевизору.
- - необходимо покупать карту памяти - лучше сразу двекарты памяти, 8 и 16 ГБайт, например...

42х кратный зум нечто как бинокль, учитывая отличный оптический стабилизатор без труда снимает с большого расстояния.
Дружит с TV с функцией "Аннет" через HDMI например Самсунги...

- + Достойная камера за свои деньги, брал за 21000. Удобное управление на экране, все необходимые настройки присутствуют, купил специально для путешествий, довольно широкий угол обзора, удобный провод USB-всегда под рукой,отличный стабилизатор, в темноте великолепно снимает, осталось только докупить карту памяти на 32 Гб...

Эх! Цену бы поменьше!
- + Легкая, компактная, качество съемки на очень высоком уровне! Пользуюсь 2 месяца -- очень доволен! Простота в настройках и использовании. Очень хорошая стабилизация картинки. Естественные цвета. Фотографии средненькие. Очень хорошо работает с маком в iMovie.

Камера не большая, удобная, быстро стартует, но при съемке в помещении сильный шум, что расстраивает, т.к. она как раз для "качественной" картинки покупалась. Из не удобного это расположение разъема HDMI.

This is the first video camera I've purchased, so can only compare it to others I've used in the past. That being said, I love the size and feel in my hand, the user-friendly interface, and the short USB charger/data cord that tucks neatly into the hand strap and allows me to not have to worry about carrying extra components wherever I go. I had read reviews prior to purchasing, so I wasn't surprised by any potential shortcomings. The main complaint I remember hearing was "no exterior mic port" which made me wonder "are you people free-lance reporters or something?" (No real issue there)

Fantastic camcorder - long zoom and outstanding quality. A little slow to focus though in low light - so I recommend it mostly for daytime use or indoor use with enough light. Stabilizer works great when handheld. 3mp still shots are not too great of quality - but you use a camcorder for video mainly instead of pictures so this doesn't bother me. If you are into nature or any kind of outdoor video like I am - you won't regret buying this camcorder!

Only desire is that it would have a viewfinder. Seeing the image via the SCD alone can be a challenge in the daylight. A viewfinder also provides an inherently more solid method of holding the camera for less shaking of the video.

I own two of these and would HIGHLY recomend it. The vidio quality is unbelievable and couldnt be simpler to use. It is an older model but all you will ever need. Get it while it's still availible. Great price and only a couple days shipping.

I have had my Sony HDRCX130 Handy Cam for some time now and I really like it. It takes great video in all lighting conditions. I took a lot of video during sporting events and many times under stadium lighting with favorable results. Very good zoom and easy to stablize. Small, compact fitting easily in a purse or jacket pocket. Easy to transfer to my video editing program. Overall I have been happy with the camera

I was initially expecting a compromise on quality while accepting the price. Surprisingly, or not as it's a Sony, the quality of the unit and its performance are outstanding. Have used it often since getting it and have had nothing but great results. I'm not a professional but as far as an entry video camera I couldn't be happier. Totally worth $200-$250.

I'm very happy with this purchase. I bought it to replace an older Sony Handycam that used miniDV tapes. I liked the idea of using an SD card instead of tapes. The price was right (~$350 at time of purchase). The LCD is large and bright, and the touchscreen interface seems to work well. No power button, just flip the screen open and the camcorder turns on. Great lens, FANTASTIC zoom and the image stabilization works really well. Device comes with a cable to connect to your TV (RCA style), although I opted to buy an inexpensive HDMI cable to connect to my HDTV. I am very pleased with the video quality, looks really nice on my 55" HDTV. Battery life is AWESOME....easily over 2 hours of recording time on a full charge, and charging is easy through the integrated USB cable. The camera is much smaller than my old handycam....about the size of a red bull can. I have larger hands, but the strap adjusted nicely to get a good grip and still be able to hit the record button with my thumb. Some have complained about the rigid portion of the strap where the short USB cable stores, but I didn't have a problem with it. This camera is also rugged...I had an unintended drop test from the top of a stroller down onto the pavement (D'oh!). Dinged up the bottom of the battery and a small portion of the case, but it still functions fine. No problems.I bought this camera to take on a Disney cruise and a visit to the parks. We just got back a few days ago and we reviewed all of the footage - very pleased. The only thing that I think is missing here is a remote control. My old handycam had one and it was nice to use that when watching footage with the camera connected to my TV.I haven't tried to move video files to my PC yet, do any editing, or create DVD's.

I ordered this camera but instead I received a CX160, I did not notice until I saw my computer detected it as a CX160. I thought maybe it was just a mistake but as I took a closer look at the camera itself, I noticed it was not a mistake. I guess maybe it was a good mistake because the 16 gb internal memory came in handy when the 4 gb memory becomes full when I am out filming my friends skating. :)

Took me a very short time to realize that the only thing itDOESN'Thave is a HDMI in and out cable, but I ordered one, MSRP $39, from Amazon fora great price.Speaking of GREAT PRICES, I paid $99 -- brand new -- at the PX for my camera...the "registration deadline" is New Year's Eve... the excessories are cheaper atAmazonDotCom anyway.Jump on it, but, remember to see the HD video from it, you'll need to buy theconnector cable:Sony DLC-HEM15 Mini - High speed HDMI cable (Black)...it's just $13!

I've mostly used this camera indoors and it has worked very well. It very simple to use. Just flip open the screen and it comes on.PROS:1) Extremely easy to use when shooting2) Great picture quality and good sound. I record many live music event and the sound is very good.3) USB cable built into handle is the easiest way to transfer videos and charge at the same time.4) compact and easy to fit in my DSLR bag with my other gear.CONS:1) must use Sony software to convert files into formats readable by Pinnacle software or Mac.2) After you plug it into the USB and turn it on you have to tell it to connect in order to transfer files.3) Menu for files could be more intuitive.4) I invariably hit the photo button on accident. Fat fingers while I'm zooming.5) charger has been finicky on occasionI would by this camera again. My only real issue has been keeping it charged.TIP: Buy a tripod for indoor shooting and monopod for shooting outdoors or from the pews/stands. A monopod ($15) will even help steady your shots if you are moving around carrying to camcorder. The extra weight helps steady the camera significantly but it's still not as heavy or bulky as a tripod.

Before purchasing this or any Sony camcorder be warned that their HD file types are very hard to convert or use outside of camera playback mode. This is particularly true if you have an Apple computer. Your videos, as nice as they may be, will only import into iMovie. Importing them to Quicktime will take 30 minutes per two minutes of video. This makes the videos unusable for any purpose. I had similar frustrations on Windows based PC as well. You simply will not be able to watch your videos or do much with them off the camera. Sony provides no support for this problem and are hoping you will purchase the camera before realizing that you can't actually do what you purchased the camcorder for - watch your videos.

We use this camera for work,so we use it pretty much every day from 3 to 6 hours,so we have 7 of them.It does work good for about 9 months,but of course I don't think it's designed to be used all the time,so yeah,it's pretty good

I was looking forward to making a few videos with a shotgun microphone I ordered, but since there is no audio input jack, I was let down. :/But otherwise, I got it used for ONLY 200$, and it was a fantastic upgrade from my last camcorder.

I received my Sony HDR-CX130 today and was shocked to find that IT HAS NO MICROPHONE INPUT of ANY KIND!I alerted Sony and they thanked me for bringing to their attention this error on their technical specifications listed (and promptly linked me to a page that allegedly says it's not their fault if errors are made on their advertising.. that link did not work either, btw bwaha).So, no, NO 3.5 mini jack or ANY mic/audio input whatsoever.Also, every auto-focus mode is EXTREMELY SLOW, and the "manual" controls are next to impossible to adjust due to the DESIGN. I have been practicing for HOURS and STILL haven't gotten the hang of using any of the "manual" controls. It's basically, "set everything to automatic and HOPE for the best" which is not too convenient for any point-and-shoot.On the bright side, the "touch the screen to focus on that area" DOES seem to work rather well 50% of the time, and I am pretty sure THAT is the way I will be focusingThe touchscreen however does respond accurately (even with my huge fingers) and menus are fairly easy to get to (even though it always exits as soon as you make any selection instead of taking you back to the menu). The touchscreen is a GIANT LEAP FORWARD in control when compared to that horrendous small "joystick" on earlier consumer camcorders like my old Canon.Optical stabilization is AMAZING!!And that Tele-macro feature is brilliant, if everything is extremely STILL!SO those are the biggest pros/cons so far. I still haven't actually recorded anything today so I don't know how the image quality holds, but it APPEARS to be great.I just thought i'd warn any potential buyers of the NO-MIC-INPUT (which was one of 3 absolutely-necessary aspects I needed, which basically means I wasted my money on this particular camcorder) and also warn of the near-impossible "manual controls" along with the snail-slow auto-focusing.

I purchased this camera for my Uncle. He wanted a digital camera and was tired of using tapes. My Uncle is not very tech savy so I wanted a camera that would be easy for him to use. This camera seems to work well for him. I like the touch screen feature and the different record formats are handy. I also purchased the Sony DVD writer for this and used it a couple times with satisfying results. For my Uncle's needs, I think this camera is a good fit for him. Personally I would have liked a viewfinder but that doesn't seem to stop my Uncle from liking it.

Recently couldn't find the charger for my regular definition Sony. Had an event in 1 day and the only way to get a charger in time was to buy a camera with the idea of returning it. So I figured what the heck I'll get a HD camera. Chose this one because it doesn't have built in memory. I'm not a fan of having to connect the camera to the computer and unload. Much prefer to take out the SDHC Card and when full just pop them into my compter. Yes this camera does take SDHC CardsI took movies of a family event starting in the afternoon and going into the evening. Night shots were a little grainy but still adequate. I just used the standard settings. I didn't go with the highest definition. It has a neat feature where it automatically takes Photos as you are filming.The difference between the movies taken with this Camera and my old Sony were night and day. You could see the details really beautiful movies.I took off a star for two reasons.1. As I read in another review, It detects whether the battery is Sony and will reset itself with an incompatible Battery warning for 3rd party extended batteries.2. The controls weren't intuitive, I couldn't find where to just reformat the memory card.Anyway I liked the camera so much I couldn't bring myself to return it. I'm not a high end user just an average Joe and this camera filled my needs.

Pros: Small, light, 30X optical zoom in, wide angle shotCons: Image quality is worse than Canon HF M400, which is about the same price ($329). In dark light, the background noise is not acceptable. In the daylight, the resolution is not satisfying. The highest quality video looks like having painting effect when played on 1080p LCD TV. A lot of details are missing. I compared the Canon HF M400 with this one and Canon HF M400 performs much better than Sony HDR-CX130.

The video quality is outstanding and is night and day from our old standard camcorder. I wish we had this a month ago for our niece wedding. You have to load the software on your PC to be able to view it on the PC. The only down side is the my wife wanted to add an extern mic and there is none after we read the manual. You have to get the nex higher model the HDRCX160. I think the built in mic is good for just everyday use. It was a good buy overall.

This camera was recommended to me by a friend that is a professional video editor. The number one concern was being able to edit the full resolution video and audio on an Avid Media Composer. It works Great!

Videos won't upload to iMovie. Workarounds available, but time wasting and annoying... If using Mac, my advice is to try another brand... Otherwise, for windows I'm sure this is one fab camera!
