works very well. it takes awesome pictures above and below the surface of the water. would recommend if you are looki.g for an underwater camera.

Me and the bf bought this before we went on a cruise! It works so well underwater! We took a bunch of pics of coral and fish at St. Thomas island. Just a tip- just make sure you are always rinsing it off with water esp if you use it at the beach so sand doesn't get wedged in.

After two or three uses under water, the camera stopped functioning. It was within the one year warranty so we sent it for replacement. SONY informed us that there would be no replacement because the camera was found with signs of corrosion. So essentially, the camera does not work properly under water, and the warranty becomes void once you use the camera for its intended purpose. If it had not happened to me I would think this was a Kafka novel.

This is my 4th sony over the yrs. they get smaller and better each yr. I had a previous tx and dropped it. this one is small, better optics, but is very slow processing each photo after it is taken. good in low light as well

I found this camera easy to use and it took really nice colorful underwater pictures, as well as pretty decent pictures on dry land. I like it!

The design looks cool but I guess we were unlucky.It was faulty and did not resist water. Ruined all irreplaceable pictures for our trip.

I love this camera. I can't say enough good things about it. It's size and durability are incredible and I'm so happy it charges off of a standard mirco USB charger. I wish all mobile devices used this standard charging.The sliding cover is an intuitive way to wake up the camera. I wish more cameras utilized this system.It's hard to believe how good the video is considering the size.I would get an extra battery or two, but other than that, enjoy!I also own the tx20. This one is better but if price is an issue then the tx20 is also good.

Nice slim camera that we used for the ocean in Hawaii. It was very sharp and clear and I would recommend it to anybody who wants to use it for underwater.

Lots of great features, great display and image quality. Battery lasts long, easy to transfer pics to PC and upload to fb. This camera fits into every compartment wher eI normally keep my iPhone, almost same size. Hubby bought it as a birthday gift for me and I am very happy!

This camera was replacing an OLD Olympus underwater camera. This takes great pictures under water, though I miss the 20x zoom capability of ly "land" Sony.

Compared to the Sony TX7, this is pretty much that same camera, only smaller, lighter, eats batteries, and is far more expensive. The only good is that its moisture and dust proof. I wouldnt trust this camera under water. They just don't make these cameras to be submerged and actually last without later issues and anger by the user. the Sony TX7 has far superior sound, is larger with bigger screen and better made.

Bought this for my daughter who is going on a cruise over Christmas. I got it for her birthday. It was exactly what she wanted and she is really looking forward to using it on the cruise.

We got this camera for outdoor hiking trips. It is nice and compact. Always spring for the Carl Zeiss lens on a Sony camera as it is a great improvement over the standard lens. It has a small internal memory space so get a micro SDHC memory card to go with it.

Be aware, if using the camera outside in sunlight the screen is almost impossible to see!!!! How could Sony make a camera with a screen that is useless if used outside. Other than that it's okay camera. Just being honest.

I bought this camera for a vacation trip to the Bahamas. We took stills, video, underwater, and panoramas. Picture quality is fantastic, even from a moving boat. The LED display is a little challenging to read in the sun and scratches easily, and I couldn't ever find an underwater mode choice in the menu (instructions don't match available screens), but all-in-all it is a great little camera.

Be sure your computer is compatible with the camera to download the videos. It is a challenge to say the least to get it onto my PC, and I am told next to impossible to get them downloaded to my Mac.

Seafood Sales.It works great for those close up product shots, which can be used with a sales pitch. If the camera get soiled, smells fishy, just wash it.
