Плохая модель
- + Цена.
- - Очень маленький буфер. Если что то копировать на диск со флешки или другого диска, не возможно открыть файлы или программы.
Хард сам по себе очень тормозной.
Я не знаю как и из чего сделан этот жесткий диск,...

Отличный, надёжный диск. За 5 с лишним лет ни одного бэда, сбойного сектора! Температура постоянно в районе +30, редко поднималась до +33, он тонкий и тихий, наверно потому что в нём один блин для записи, а не бутерброд из 2 или...

- + Технология диска неплохая, шустрый, в меру холодный, все заявленные производителем характеристики оправдывает.
- - Глюки начались после истечения гарантии (24 мес.). Для этого производителя ненадёжность изделия дело обычное.
Пока Сигейт не начнёт задумываться о надёжности...

I have to say I was very nervous about buying this. So many buyers reporting so many problems with hard disk drives from practically all manufacturers. Some of the manufacturer explanations about rough transport seemed plausible, but too often used as the go to reason. They cannot all have been handled by the Samsonite Gorilla. Mine came in the Seagate cardboard box with the anti impact plastic caps at each end. The Seagate box was inside another larger cardboard box containing other items I ordered. I intentionally did not order the drives one by themselves in order to force there to be another box and packaging around the Seagate box. The drives were in anti-static bags. So my out of box experience was excellent. I ground strapped my right wrist and my right ankle to true electrical ground and also electrically grounded my system box. Three of these are in my pc. I also have a fourth in a Thermaltake Max 5 eSATA external drive enclosure hooked to my SetTop cable box DVR for overflow of TV programs. The pc based drives get moderate use. The DVR setup is used a little more than the PC, but only a few hours a day. Honestly, there's not that much on TV worth watching. :-) All of the drives so far have been reliable, quiet, no complaints whatsoever. On the PC they are very fast. If you can get one on sale, they are relatively obsolete now, it is worth the try if it has not been abused. Handle with care and use ground straps and true grounds. Recommended even though it is older. I would buy again if needed. If no longer available I would try the Constellation 3 3.5 series because they have a bigger cache. 5 Star for me. Hope they work for you too.

I swore by Seagate drives. And then I realized what I really swore by, Seagate's now defunct 5-year warranty.I've had drives fail and I know it's to be expected. This drive began failing it's SMART checks within a month of my receiving it, but I didn't have any spare drives to back it up on so I could send it in for a replacement. I just held on for as long as possible and now, a year or so later, I'll finally be able to send it in for a replacement.It did its job, albeit always under the threat that it was going to completely die at any moment. The warranty was the saving grace. Now, without that, I'll look for the drive with the best warranty at the capacity I need,

I have had this for sometime it was my best investment ever it is very quiet does not make any noise the hard drive has more storage capacity and it was cheap too the price was within my budget which made it easier to handle

I have bought 3 seagate hard drives in the past few years all of them lasting a total of 3 months normally before having a spindle break or something similar. This one takes the cake though lasted 20 minutes before having a bad head failure.

I bought this drive as my data drive in what I call the beast!I load as many applications as I have the ability to, in a "Program Files" directory on this drive.My main drive is a 240Gig SSD and loads Windows 7 Professional in 10 seconds flat! But this drive serves up Apps, videos and pictures very fast, especially when it doesn't have to deal with the OS as well.Buy it, or it's kin. Great price. Is part of a 3-disk Raid5 arrangement in a WHS 2011 setup. According to SMART (yeah, I know) they are all in excellent health. After 2 months, so far so good. Only time will tell if this is REALLY a 5-star drive.

A one year life span is all I got out of mine. It did have a two year warranty and Seagate's website is helpful in diagnosing problems and getting RMA started. The SMART feature on my motherboard picked up the failure before the harddrive totally crapped out so I was able to backup. For $10 Seagate sends out another hardrive 2 day air and provides return postage for the old drive to send back. Not a bad deal. I have to really commend Seagate for such a fast and efficient service when the product goes bad. It helps lessen the hassle.

I bought this HDD as part of my desktop build. It was cheap at the time of purchase. I was sure that 1TB would be sufficient for storage space. It is fairly quiet despite having a 7200rpm speed. It reads fairly quickly thanks to the SATA3 capabilities.

I bought this drive to replace the puny 120GB one in my DVR. The Seagate 1TB is the largest one that can be recognized by the DVR but it still gives me a great improvement in recording capacity.The drive is very fast, extremely quiet, no vibration and runs nice and cool.I took a chance on a refurbished drive, but so far it is working flawlessly.

I used to use Seagate drives exclusively for their reliability and longevity. This drive was DOA and 2 more identical drives failed right after this one was sent back.I have now switched to WD & Hitachi for my drives.

I own over 50 hard drives and 99.9% of them are Seagate. I own several of this model and as my drives need to be replaced I use a SATA Revision 3 drive if my drive controller can use that protocol. I like the additional speed that you can get using the 6 Gb/s rate of the newer SATA interface. I have not had one problem with these drives and the writing speed is phenomenal when compared to SATA II.This drive spins the disk at 7200 RPM and a 32 MB memory cache that provides high data speed transfer and fast burst performance for exchanging data. Just remember that to utilize the SATA Revision 3 specs, your drive controller must be SATA Revision 3 compatible. This drive is also downward compatible with SATA II interfaces but will only operate at 3 Gb/s on a SATA II controller.It is a bare drive which means that it does not come with any CD disk providing software tools or any SATA or power cables.I do not like that the price has gone up dramatically and but that does not detract from the fact that the drives have performed flawlessly. A massive flood in Thailand shut down 1000s of factories including major hard drive manufacturing companies. Seagate was not affected but the price of hard drives has gone up dramatically and all suppliers are making extra profits due to this disaster. I am just being patient and not making any large purchases while the prices are so high.

I was a Seagate fan since the 80's when I forst start using microcomputers, I always loved their drives.This year's experience changed all that.I own a Dell XPS Desktop (i7 975 @ 3.33 GHz, 12 GB RAM, and ATI Radeon HD 5800) which I paid top dollars for. The computer was configured in RAID 1 - mirror drives, so that I can use it without worrying about total disability in case of drive failures.One of the drive went bad over the summer, so I bought a pair of Western Digital 1 TB Black and replaced the bad one. The RAID 1 did its job by allowing my system continue to function before I change the bad one, however, after I replaced the bad drive, the system did not return to RAID 1, the system became a RAID 0 configuration. Last week, the system crashed and could not be rebooted (MBR Corrupted). But i kept two copies of disc images after the system became RAID 0, so I restore from the image, did not work, still have the same problem. I then reformatted the drive and restore again, same problem. Each restore took over 24 hours, and I was not a happy camper.At this point, the issue was clear, the Seagate drive was bad. I replaced the remaining Seagate with the spare Western Digital, went through the same process, the system finally return to working form. Really, the Seagate drives were no more than 3 years. They both crapt out and caused me hours of work to retore the system. Is it my bad luck, or shame on Seagate by selling such a drive?

I purchased 2 bare barracuda hard drive intended for editing and one of them did not work since the moment I installed it on my raid 1 hard drive case. I missed the return window trying to make it work with the other hard drive, until in completely broke down (both drives taking all my information away). Now I have lost both the important information and the drives that I can not return or exchange. I am a premium customer at amazon and because of this I feel I might not pay for a premium membership for next year.

I purchased two Barracudas, one 7200 1 terabyte and one 5400 2 terabyte. I used an SSD for the Windows drive, the 1 terabyte for my programs drive, and the 2 terabyte for storage. A little over 3 months go by and both drives start disappearing and soon die. I interact with Seagate's technical assistance. While the warranty process itself isn't bad, if you didn't save the packaging, in particular the ends that hold the hard drive in the box along with the static bag, then your warranty is going to be null. To meet all their concerns with shipping the hard drives I paid around $15 in packaging and shipping. A week or so later I received my replacement drives. That was back in the beginning of November. It is now March and the same exact thing is happening again. So now I have a choice. Do I cut my losses, purchase 2 new non-Seagate hard drives or replace the current ones through warranty even though I know I'll have to replace them again in 3-4 months?
