Pros:
* AWESOME Display: I am love with the crispness, sharpness, and vibrancy of color gamut displayed on the screen. The screen is Big and takes time to get used to, but within 1 week, I felt every other phone around me had a sub-par display (including 1plus5T). It's very hard to like anything else after this.
* Performance: I have played a couple of games and often forgot to close apps once I am done using them. Often they are minimized or running in the background. At one point, I had 15+ apps running subsequently and I didn't even notice any performance issues while using the phone. I accidentally noticed the # of apps running and I was pleasantly surprised with the device's performance. I have come to realize that "A new redefined but familiar Samsung OS+Exynos Processor + 6GB of Ram" is a deadly combination that's built to last. I can easily foresee that the phone will be relevant for next 3 years at least. This in a way justifies its high price against some lower end phones which start to show their true color within 1yr.
* Camera: I have taken stunning pictures of my daughter using Note 8 in broad daylight; and I say this even though I own a mid-range DSLR. The camera has performed brilliantly under natural light conditions. The camera has also performed quite wonderfully in the night as well, particularly under artificial light at home. The Dual Camera takes two images under live view setup and that's a nice to have feature. The Bokeh effect produced by software is very impressive and doesn't look gimmicky. However the camera has been a bit disappointing in extremely low light conditions and that's understandable as I was expecting a lot from a smartphone; then I do have a DSLR which would take over where Note 8 fails. On a side note, I have seen Google Pixel XL2 take great low light images - something that Note 8 can't give you. But as they say, there is nothing called "a perfect phone".
* Water Proof and Dust Proof: The phone is IP68 certified which means it is dust and waterproof. I play outdoor games and often the corners and edges where the back cover fits attract a lot of dust particles. To freak my wife, I often wash the phone with tap water to clean the dust and screen finger print marks. The look on her face is priceless. Lol ;) But having a phone which can resist elementary conditions around us is a definite plus for me.
Cons:
* Battery Backup: I wish I had more juice in battery which would make 100% charged phone last beyond a day. As I mentioned earlier, I am not hooked on the phone 24 x 7 but I do my share of gameplay, YouTube streaming, texting, browsing on the phone. I start my day with 99% charge and end my day with 13% left on my battery. I would say that's around average given other smartphones comfortably last more than 1 day (for example, Google Pixel XL 2).
* The speaker of the phone is a disappointment. I had better and louder sound output from Note 3. I don't know why Samsung didn't give front facing speakers like other phones have. It's puzzling.
* Finger Print Scanner: It's virtually nonexistent for me given its position right beside the camera lens. I have mostly used the Facial recognition to unlock the phone. Only in low light conditions or dark conditions, I have tried using Fingerprint sensor on the back to unlock the phone. The facial recognition works like a charm but it's definitely not as fast the one which One Plus 5T has (which is lightning fast).
* In order to protect the screen, there are no good screen guards/tempered-glass options available. I have wasted 2k in trying different screen guards only to find that the touch sensitivity of the phone is reduced after putting on the guard. I have found some screen good guards in USA, but those are extremely expensive (~$50). As of now, I am extremely careful while handling the phone especially when I am walking or talking.
Overall I am happy with my purchase. I had to choose between Google Pixel XL 2 and Note 8, and I wanted Note 8 for its bright display and comparable performance. The camera isn't too far behind the Pixel 2. As I said, there is nothing called "a perfect phone." All phones have various deltas which can be improved. Somewhere I feel that's a strategy which Samsung, Apple, and Google adapt - to release the phone with some obvious flaws and deltas. I mean, "Does it makes sense to put the fingerprint scanner next to cameras? Who was the design architect of this phone? I want to meet him" :O :O
And of course, the next iteration has those deltas fixed and lures the customer towards them. For me, I am not looking at a smartphone for the next 3 years at least.

Owning a galaxy note device has always been a desire of mine. It was fulfilled when I managed to gather up enough to purchase the Note 8 this October. I was actually, planning to go for the Note 9, but decided to save my money and get the predecessor instead.
Sure, the note 9 is a better device overall, but it does not justify paying 67k, whereas I got this one for only 28k after exchanging my old Galaxy S7.
Here's a quick review of mine with pros and cons of using the Note 8 as a daily driver in 2018.
Pros:
---------
- Excellent build quality (premium and surprisingly comfortable in-hand feel)
- Great display (as usual from Samsung)
- Reliable set of rear cameras
- The S-pen and all of its perks (duh!)
- Still has a headphone jack!
- An extra (bixby) button that you can easily remap however you want.
- The vibration motor is much stronger than any other flagship I've owned in the past. (definitely one of the best
android side has to offer)
Cons:
---------
- Not-so-stellar performance (I could not find major improvements over my 2 year old Galaxy S7!). It is pretty good,
but nothing "OnePlus level".
- Battery life is decent at best. I am averaging (at the maximum) up to 5 Hrs screen on time
- I feel the speakers are weaker than my old S7.
- Fingerprint sensor is sometimes pretty slow to wake the screen up after recognizing my finger from standby
(It works very fast when the screen is on though, which is strange!)
Also, the headphones that are bundles in the box are pretty trashy! They have a very flat frequency response, which will not appeal to most of the customers who enjoy rich, equalized music. I never expected Samsung to give such flat equalized pair with their newer devices, especially because the earphones that I got with my S7 were absolutely phenomenal in comparison.
Some people said I have to manually equalize these AKG earphones first, but even after enabling Samsung 'adaptive sound', the output was straight up garbage. It is surely not an equalizer issue, because I am using PowerAmp Pro, which is THE BEST in my opinion.
Anyway, these were my two cents on the great Galaxy Note 8, and regarding using one in 2018. Should you buy this phone? Absolutely! It is a great buy at it's current price, but I advise you to buy it with exchange offer, which makes it an even sweeter deal!
Press the 'Helpful' button if you found this review insightful. Take care!

Screen - its like a global fact now : best in the business, nothing can match the level of vibrancy of this one. It is a 2k screen so yeah, the sharpness is there, but, I know I am nitpicking, its a diamond pentile matrix display, so there's sub-pixel sharing (less blue and red sub-pixels) which is a bummer when you compare it with a typical RGB display which would effectively have more sub-pixels with same resolution and thereby, superior sharpness. So if you look close enough, you can still spot the pixels, particularly in texts. There are 4k screens in Sony flagships, but its bit of an overkill. Anyways, the 2k resolution on the Note 8 is worthless - confused? I will get to it when I cover the most important factor - the battery.
(Just to mention: my friend had bought this about 8 months ago and had a screen burn-in last month after which he got the display replaced under warranty)
Audio quality: No issues with the earpiece, its loud and clear, call quality is right up there.
Speakers - pretty average, no bass, not very loud, leaves you wanting for more.
Audio through headphones: It has a good DAC, so the clarity is awesome. But that's where the good things end. Not a very powerful amplifier on this one, so if you've got higher impedance headphones, its not going to be able to drive them. Also, the volume settings has huge difference between any two steps, specifically, its average at second last step, and pumps up significant dBs at max volume(which still is somewhat low). This can be a bit frustrating. Another notable point is that there is a lot of static noise which you can hear when nothing is playing and you're earphones are plugged into the headphone jack. It goes down with the UHD upscaler option turned on. All in all, not a good device for audio through wires. Vivo nex and LG V30+ have better DACs and more importantly, powerful amplifiers and overall, better sound signature.
Battery: Here is where all the good things end. Remember I mentioned in the beginning, that the Wqhd resolution is worthless on this phone. That's because the battery gets drained in less that 5 hours. The battery just can't handle pushing those many pixels. Perhaps that's why, by default when you purchase the phone, the resolution is set to FHD+. But nevertheless, even at FHD+, the screen is better than what you'd see on the OP6. Haven't calculated the SOT with Wqhd, but would be anywhere between 3.5 to 4.5 hrs. And even with normal usage, you will have to charge it every 7...8 hours. I played PUBG for 1 hour 10 mins, and it drained from 67% to 3%. With always on display off, and only 4G VOLTE, the phone loses about 16% through a 8 hour sleep.
My friend has slightly better numbers than these on his Note 8, so I am assuming, mine could have a problematic battery. But the general consensus with this isn't great either. And also, the fast charging is just about okay. Its 40...45% slower than dash charging. They use QC 2.0 in snapdragon version, so in exynos, it should be about the same standard.
Coming to everything else, its just perfect. Pictures are crisp in daylight and the portrait mode is best implemented on it. The pictures are a bit noisy though when there's lack of light but still, stand out from the competition. The OS is also well optimized and is the first samsung device which doesn't have the samsung lag!
If you're okay with charging it frequently, there isn't a better device than this.

I AM Reviewing from my experience and users perspective.
I am reviewing after usage of almost 8 months
I am not reviewing typically on features as everybody can read it from feature column
Pro
The Quality of the Note 8 Super.
The Quality of Amazon delivery and packaging 100 out of 100.
The most helpful and unexpected accessories Are;
1. Extra plugs for charging/connecting.
It's a blessing for the user and thoughtfulness of Samsung to provide these small essential accessories to make the Note 8 a complete package.
I forgot the Charger at my sister's place and worried about buying a new for the time being but the Note 8 package has 2 more extra plugs: type C Male to Type -B Female And Type C Male to Type A USB female.
These plugs can be used as converters and u can use your old original chargers to save the day.
2.These I use for transferring files, occasionally for bulk as I used to oldways but the Bluetooth, NFC and hotspot are so capable and great that I rarely use these for everyday file transfers. The wireless experience totally rocks. This phone is so great that general ways become old ways.
SAMSUNG Made Life easy.
Thank u.
3. THE S-Pen it's the Magic wand, most of us buy Note in Fancy of it and it is key to fantasy. Truly.
And i am adding 4. It is the Penup App the canvas to ink your figment of imagination... Literally..
If u have artistic inkling or childish doodling habits this is ur thing.
Let's leave the artist use and come down right to practical use.
It's best for quick revision, correction, pointers, reminder on presentations slides. You can directly right and scribble on it. It is damn useful.
Con:
NOW, the battery.. when is phone is so heavily use and is capable then it takes a toll on the battery.
Normal use like taking calls the battery lasts 24 hrs( after 8 months no sign of degradation);
Active use: 8 to 12 hrs;
Heavy extensive use: 4hrs.
(Without Performance Issue)
If u want to save the battery either u have to buy a power bank or pause your extensive use like digital painting, heavy Gaming .. etc..
I carry a POWER BANK and use it extensively and it never hangs ..never means never .. at least for me.. well, I do to take proper care of my phone with proper anti virus and anti malware and regular checking the maintenance.
To be honest I don't blame it but the phone is so active and enthusiastic it draws out power and this fact needs attension of the user that their phone do not run out it.
Tip: Buying a Heavy and extensive use Phone Get A power Bank.

Pros
1.Best display out there.Period!
2.Fastest processor and yes it's better then Snapdragon 835
3.6GB of Ram means you can multitask on this phone without any worry
4.Dual camera's and first in samsung phones. They take some very nice photos.
Cons
1.Poor battery.Seriously don't trust any one saying that samsung optimisation is good and you will get good battery life out of this phone but that's not true.I get 3hr 40 min SOT on this phone in mid usage.I don't know if i can get 2hr SOT on high usage.Since it's a NOTE device it better should have 4000 Mah battery but what happened last year, samsung decided to play it safe.I charged my phone to 100% and left it on idle. All wifi/bluetooth/Always on display were off.I wake up in the morning and see my battery at 82%.12% battery drained on standby without touching the phone over night.Truly battery life sucks on this device.Period!
2.S-pen.I know S-pen is the selling point of this device and has very nice features. These features sound cool and believe me you will never use those features unless you are a business guy doing some heavy work.Kind of you can say battery is short because of S-pen space in phone. This point is personal opinion though.
3.Samsung usual LAG.It's very common with samsung phones. No matter the 6GB of Ram.Touchwiz aka samsung experience over android skin really do lags. You might not notice it but i can during switching apps, scrolling. It isn't as smooth as pixel devices.
4.6.3 inch display.I know it's a note device and big display helps but it only helps when you use S-pen and most of the time average people don't use the S-pen at all.You can do some task faster with your hand compared to taking out S-pen then holding device with other hand and then doing that task.
5.Bixby.Don't believe a word they said related to bixby voice rolling out in india and support for indian accents.Bixby voice sucks.70% of the time i used it,it simply didn't recognised what i said.Google assistant is much better then that and 95% of the time Google assistant works fine.I kind of wish i can remap bixby button but samsung does not allow that and Bixby running in background sucks more battery out of the phone.
6.Fast charging.Samsung so called Adaptive fast charging is not really fast.Samsung offers the same fast charging on mid range devices like C9 pro and it's less then Quick charge 2.0.I was able to charge Note8 0 to 100% in 1hr 50 min only because note8 has 3300 Mah battery.Phones like oneplus 5/LG G6 have better fast charging then this phone.
7.Bottom speaker is a big JOKE on this phone.Trust me!
CONCLUSION
Only buy this phone if you think you will AND you can utilize that S-pen and not just for show off that you got a flagship device with a stylus. There are many better options then this phone for far lower price.I know many people may comment on this review that this phone is meant for business users but what about battery life. You can't do no business on a phone which has 6.3" display with 3300 Mah battery life.

Rest- its just amazing.
This phone turned some (my Friends) samsung haters to Note series die hard fans.
Pros-
1. IP68-- WaterProof => carry worry free, barsih ke mausam me bike riding ke time ab mughe kahin rok ke shop se polybag lene ki aadat nhi rhi...hehe
2. Awesome camera => sabhi yaar dost mera wait krte rehte hai milne ka...haha
3. Amazing display => seriously yr, PUBG me mere frnds ke phone and ye phone full brightness pe the...at some point I was able to see a person running far away and jaise hi maine warn kiya to baki sabko wo dikha hi nhi and I looked at their screens...yr kisi ke phone me bhi nhi dikh rha tha...that showed the screen quality difference.
4. Fast Charging => Just 85 min and you are ready to rock n roll again with 100% battery.
5. S-Pen features that comes handy on the go any time any where. Just love this.
6. Samsung Experience UI features are amazing. Specially the secure folder and game launcher along with Edge Panel that is really helpful.
7. Bixby Vision along with Samsung Pay (NFC) are another handy features pf Samsung UI. Yr wallet rakhne ki aadat bhi nhi rhi ab. :)
8. Looks => obviously the best looking phone. I know ki biometric sensor ki location odd hai (2-4 din me habbit ho jati h and then no issues) but look wise it looks fantastic as compared to the latest Note 9.
Friends Note 8 ke 8 special features unki preference ke according set kiye hai....its may not be 100% accurate review but still its an awesome phone.
Cons-
1. Bettery life.
2. Average sound quality in such high end phone.
3. Obviously the price.
Talking about battery, we just get approx 6 hours of screen on time with regular Jio 4G VoLTE connectivity at 50% brightness. That is quiet average keeping in view the price of this beast.
Actually what really sucks is the standby time with 4G net connectivity. I have to keep Net OFF and put it back to ON only when I need, so that I can get backup of upto 15 hours i.e. through out the day.

The innovation from Note 2 to Note 8 and from iPhone to Note 8, is mind blowing. The phone is smart in all ways it is possible in this era:
1. Two AI assistant - Bixby and Google Assistant.
2. Amazing cameras
3. Wonderful design
4. Good quality display and sound
All these things are already mentioned in the other reviews and in much detail. There are two unique bugs which I found in this phone though:
1. The speaker issue:
During calls, all of a sudden, the speaker of the phone would turn on, once every 2 to 3 minutes. This was definitely not sim slot issue as the same error used to come in skype and whatsapp voice calls also. This almost caused me a huge problem when I was talking to one client whilst sitting in front of other. I immediately requested a replacement on Amazon. Amazon team sent a technician to my house to see if he could troubleshoot, but the problem stayed even after reboots and resets. So finally replacement order was processed and thanks to quick Amazon service, got the new phone next day only.
2. Might be and AoD issue:
Now the replacement phone is also having a bug, but this is something which I can live with. I scheduled Always On Display Off-timings as 12am to 7am. And as soon as AoD turns off, the Sim card in sim slot 1 starts showing error of "No Sim detected". So a simple solution was to keep AoD always on.
But having encountered these minor bugs, doesn't diminish the worth of this amazing phone. The stylus has become much advanced since the initial phones in the series, handwriting to text has become much much better, which has motivated to start writing in Hindi 😄
Edit: Turns out the replacement phone also has the call issue. Seems to be a inherent defect in the Note 8 phones!

Starting a day with its powerful but pleasing alarm and gracious fetch with AOD, this screams winner vibes. And then being water resistant, can be safely used while getting ready with some you tubing, net flixing and yummy breakfast. Someday I take an uber else I drive. On Uber days, spend more time on catching up with emails or calls. Email client on such a large screen is a pleasure to use and calls sound great too. On Drive days, very useful with Bluetooth music. Supports Apple Music and not much buggy due to splendid amount of 6GB RAM.
Now at work, very helpful to stay on top of to-do notes with screen off scribbled notes. Easy to edit and pin to AOD. It is a given to attract attention when you are working on this phone with the stylus as no other phone gives this feature and thus you are easily a target of both admiration or ridicule from jealousy :) And I cannot say enough about the display, "JUST OUT OF THIS ENTIRE FROLICKING WORLD". So if there is one reason you need to buy this, buy it for the screen and then feel even better for the mobile HDR netflix, dual camera for portraits and do some doodling singing a happy tune. :)
Samsung has priced it really well at 67900 and has sweetened the deal with cashback and wireless charger. Claimed mine already and am waiting for it. Will keep it at work for convenience and show-off :) And during lunch break, you can again plug in the fantastic AKG ear buds and get lost in some music.
Now coming back to weekends, mostly YouTube, Gaming, Netflix, Amazon Prime come into view and the experience of each of them are great on this and most often you will hear the wife scream at you for not doing anything else. Lazy bum.
Now onto vacation, best experience is to capture memories. The cameras don't let you down even a bit. Just winning shots after shots. OIS on both cameras and well supported color captures with great low light images make those days better and also the recovery days greater as you review them photos and videos.
As it supports Micro SD cards, very helpful to download lots of offline Netflix, Apple music and pics and don't worry about it.
So all in all a true five star product. Should fetch good resale value as it seems like a true blue buddy...

Areas of improvement are battery life and placement of the fingerprint scanner. The user can live with both these problems.
The battery is smaller than expected, the phone is however able to give one full day of charge with normal usage. The placement of the fingerprint scanner can be a bit of a problem especially when you are trying to unlock the phone which is placed on a table. Also considering the height of the note 8, it's not easy use the sensor unless you hold the phone somewhere in the middle.
The reason for giving 4 stars is that iphone 8 it is offering a 10000 rupees cashback. Samsung should price is products in such a way that user get maximum benefit.
iPhone is also tied with Reliance jio and they are able to give an upgrade plan where 70% of the cost gets covered when you go for a new upgrade. Samsung offers no such plan and even if there is an offer, it's not up to the same amount's worth.
Samsung is offering a 4000 rupees cashback. They have also included a basic clear case bundled with the box. There are also offering one time screen replacement for rupees 900. These are all good but not as good and tempting as the iPhone 8 and Reliance jio offer. The current situation might drive away some of the potential Galaxy Note 8 users to iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 plus. Samsung can quickly correct the situation by offering a good upgrade proposal for Samsung users.
Apart from that the screen of the phone is gorgeous. There's no other smartphone in the world that offers such a beautiful screen.
The dual camera system is very good. It's just a little short of what the iPhone 8 plus offers. I believe that this can be changed with a software upgrade. But the gap is closing and Samsung camera systems are becoming at par with Apple's. The Other department where the note scores over the iPhone is the looks. The iPhone looks a little dated when compared to the note 8. The Other noteworthy mentions are the note comes with fast charging that comes out of the box and also a pair of premium akg ear phones.
On a performance front some of the geekbenchmark scores clearly outline that the iPhone 8 is crashing all performance Benchmarks with the A11 Bionic chip. The Note 8 is falling a little short here when compared to the iPhone. How were the note it makes up for this week the 6 GB of RAM. So the note head has the ability to store lot of applications in the background and recover them whenever required. So from a practical point of view both of them are equally performant.
That's it for the comparison and general update of the Note 8.
I will be going in with 4 out of 5 stars for the Note 8.So one Star less because of the pricing decisions and partnerships that Samsung did not make.

Being a journalist, I have access to some top level tech experts and when I spoke to them, they told me a shocking reality: these big companies start putting bugs in your phone step by step with each software update they have for your phone. Because if they don't, why would you go out and buy a new one? Well, the explanation really caught my fancy. So when I migrated to Samsung, my calls issues were all sorted. But guess what???? Now, even this phone has started behaving in similar fashion as the iPhone. Only difference? iPhone at least lasted for 3+ years while this hasn't made it to even a year. A friend of mine having this same phone is facing exactly similar issues!! And look at the smartness of these bugs by these big big companies - if I put two sims of two different service providers, both wont work. If I put one sim which is working while the other one (such as JIO) which is not charged with top up and not working, the jio would show signals just fine while the working one wont work at all - it will say some message like 'not registered on network' !! and no calls would go through or no calls could be received!
Hence, its a scam by these big corporations so that you keep updating to their newer products and keep paying up to them on a regular basis. Also, they save your data and settings on their own server - so your affinity to the brand remains because your life is simpler since a new phone of same company will hardly take any time to bring back your old data and settings! Remember, a while back, a law suit was filed in US against iPhone for an issue similar to the one described here? Well, what was the logic given by iPhone? The updates have these updates to balance out the battery life of older phones being used! Really? - So technically they have accepted that their updates make the older phones under-perform! This is the scam being run by big corporations and I can see that South Korean major - Samsung is no different! Hence I would appeal to you to not buy phones from Samsung.
Alternatively, you should try out these Chinese phones which are at least cheap with reasonably good features. That way, its value for money.. even if these cheap phones run for 1+ year, you get your buck's worth at least!

1) Screen is super clear and vibrant. I generally kept it on FHD mode initially for battery saving but now I'm using it on WQHD mode and it's look awesome. Slightly more battery drain but the clarity you get will blow your mind.
2) Speaker Sound could have been much better and they merely serves the purpose.
3) Software is glitch free and every update is stable. Android security patches are provided by samsung on monthly basis.
No hang or whatsoever during my 2 months use. Ram optimization is top notch. It plays PUBG in highest possible configuration without any sign of hanging. PIP and other functions provided by samsung are very useful. Every app is super smooth and not like bloatware. Oreo is there and Pie is in pipeline for early 2019 with full black mode.
4) Battery : Before buying I was very much skeptical about battery life as reviews were bad but I can say that the battery lasts a whole day(upto 6pm) even on WQHD mode and gives 4 and half hour screen time. That's sufficient for me. I'm also using Greenify for putting unnecessary apps into hibernation. Saves lot of juice.
5) Size: I have never used this much big phone before and the phone is not for single handed use but the screen size you get will provide you mesmerizing experience and you will forget about the size once you start using it.
6) S-pen : The s-pen is the best part of this phone after the screen. Once you start using it you will do most of the reading, noting and browsing through s-pen and it's super accurate and elegant.
7) Camera: Best camera you can get after Google Pixels. The latest update have also enabled super slow motion feature that was available in S9 and note9. Videos are super stable as both rear lenses are equipped with OIS and EIS. Presently it supports video shooting at 4k @ 30fps which is software limited but you can also use it for 4k @60fps videos shooting through some LG camera modded app available on XDA and the videos are stunning. Overall greatly satisfied with the camera.
Cons: Is there any point left. No.
So, go with your decision and buy it you will never regret.

One plus 3T feels faster than this phone. It's because of the animations and screen transition time which can be reduced a little bit to feel it faster. I've done it by changing the screen transition time in developer options. (Warning : Do not touch any other options in developer menu)
Camera is amazing, little over saturated though. Didn't find it as a problem as I like over saturated and bright photos.
Live focus shots in low light conditions are horrible. Very disappointing.
But normal shots in low light conditions are amazing. Great improvement in image processing.
Screen quality is at its best. Compared it with iPhoneX, oneplus6 & iPhone 8plus. None of them are even close to note8's screen quality.
Speaker is also great. It's not louder but the quality of sound is amazing.
Big phone with sharp edges.. so you might feel it difficult keeping in your pockets while wearing tight pants.
Placement of 3.5mm jack should have been on the other side. Because, sitting with the phone in your pocket with 3.5 jack connected, kind of screws the earphone cable at the joint. I would recommend using earphones with L-type cable joints.
S-Pen is very useful at times. Never thought I would actually be using it but yeah I am.
Coming to Bixby, If you know how to make use of it, your day to day activities become much more easier. It does a lot of things. Loving it
Over all it's a great package for 40k. Few cons will always be there in every product. But it's okay. No major complaints. I'm happy using a Samsung again after 5 years.

I have been using this phone for last 6 month. Here is my honest review
I am kind of person who use this phone for mostly productivity task. As a result i am great fan of S-pen
This phone handles any task u throw at it. I mean literally anything. I dont want to repeat the specification which are best in the market
Best Feature-
1. Only mobile which offers pen support. Not only it offer support but it offers one of best pen experience. Mobile is the device we carry everywhere. If you are kind of a learner then it really help to jolt down the things when you study read listen speak at your own convenience. I think it is the best usable feature in any phone
2. Best display- no mobile can beat samsung Super AMOLED displays. These are the best and most comfortable to your eyes. Watching video is pleasure on this large super amoled display
3. Processing power and RAM- No lag on any kind experienced even once. 6 gb RAM suffice and everything is fast and snappy.
4. Samsung software offers best features and Oreo update made it best among the top phones. A lot of useful productivity apps are provided.
Cons
Average battery- if you are heavy user it is nearly impossible to get full day of use. But quick charging compensate for that. Hope that graphene batterys are adopted at the earliest in next mobile.
Average speaker- Speaker is clear but not loud. Although AKG headphone provided are one of the best i have used
Verdict: No phone has been made that encompasses all best feature with zero compromise. I will give this phone 9.5/10 because its best feature really make it leader in its category. This phone gives the best with least compromises.

It's not very easy to use, I have used 6.4 inches device in the past (Sony Xperia Z Ultra) and I never felt this uncomfortable with XZU. It's definitely not very ergonomic. The fingerprint sensor positioning only makes matters worse. The iris scanner or face scanner often fails. There is always three-four extra seconds you need to start working with it.
The battery isn't bad. It is not great either. I am getting decent 4-5 hrs screen on time. These are the first two days, so it should settle down at 5-6h. I am OK with that. The battery, however, is heating up a bit. It was evident when I wasn't using a case. It's not very noticeable with the case.
There is no quick access to the notifications from the home screen. I sorely miss this feature from Moto (I was using Moto flagships over last 3 years).
The bixby is pretty good. Bixby+Google Assistant is actually better than MotoAssist+Google Assistant. Bixby is a little less resourced than GA but it is more intelligent.
Camera is out of the world. So is the screen. I wish it had stereo speakers, or little more HDR content. Samsung should have bundled few months of netflix with this device :(
S-Pen is highly addictive. It is very difficult to keep it away once you start using it. AKG earphones are decent, not great but easily better than some of the 2-3k earphones that you buy.
The biggest worry however is the availability of other Gear devices that can use this device's full potential. I already got a Gear 360 from US for 13k, here it costs 35k+. Where is Dex? Where is GearVR2017?

Delivery by amazon was quick-very next day of order.lets come to the point.
1) build and quality--(8.5/10)
typical samsung.metal glass combo..feels premium..its a big device so you will find one hand operations difficult.its not slim but no complaints...after all its - The Note.looks premium, solid built. comes with a clear back case in the box. a back case is must as the back of the mobile is fingerprint magnet.many complain abt its awkward positioning of fingerprint sensor, but you will get used to it in a day or two.
2)Display (9.5/10)
superb dispaly ..nothing more to say.
3) Camera (9/10)
Comes with great capabilities..its dual camera set up at rear..each of 12 MP. low light photos are good.OIS does its job while video recording.Front camera too is good.overall Camera is among the best devices available in the market
4) S Pen (10/10)
Thats the reason we buy note...loaded with amazing features. simly superb!
5) Hardware and Performance.(10/10)
fast , zippy and great at multitasking. the top end processor , 6GB RAM, and samsung UI does the job quite well.
6)Battery (6/10)
poor..hardly lasts a day.even at the moderate use most of the battery consuming features (like- always ON display, location etc) Off, the battery hardly lasts a day.
Overall (8.5/10)
considering huge cost of note 9...its still a better choice.i would carry a power bank with note 8 rather to buy note 9 .😄

Back - Plasticky. Apple beats Samsung hands down.
Feel and Touch - Sturdy but Slippery
Screen - Gerogeous. Love at First Sight
Battery - Useless. I challange anyone to use this phone for office hours without a charger
Turbo Charger - Still takes 2 hours to charge
Camera - Awesome
THE BEST for indoor photography. Nothing can come even close. Even in 90% dark condition the pictures are awesome
Bokeh Effect - Huh ..has the effect been applied ?
Selfie - I have an ugly face BUT this make my face even uglier. Too Fat. The Filters dont work
Panaromoa and Rest - Awesome
OIS - Awesome Video and Photo even in a Auto on Mumbai Pot Holes (You can use the work roads anymore in Mumbai)
Fingerprint Scanner - Ugh. Muscle Memory might work in long run BUT you would tear your muscle streching your finger
Edge to Edge Dispaly - Looks Awesome espically for Media Comsumption BUT copy pasting text is a BIG issues
Samsung BLOATWARE - Why do they try their hands at something they are not good. 3.5GB out of 4GB wasted for things i dont use at all.
Bezels - This much is required man
Bioemtric Scanner - Works only in not good BUT Excellent Lighting
SO im still using pattern lock
Stylus - Why have a flat hard to use stylus. Pens and Pencils are round and so should this be. Apple PLEASE design a stylus so Samsung can learn.
Pressing the flat button on the falt stylus for options is a biffer pain. Would have loved to use the click option at the end
Bixby - What is it . I dont use it. Have disabled it. would love if i can use the button for something else
Till someone make a phone with stylus (dont even discuss about LG Stylus) this what you want. Incase anyone is tyring consider the follwing
Smaller Screen - Bigger Battery - Round Stylus - Non Slippery Grip

*Screen* and *Picture* quality- I think in this section no one can beat samsung even the $1 trillion giants "Apple". Th 6.3 large immersive super amoled dislay will give super crisp picture quality and you can enjoy Netflix and movies at superb quality.
*Speakers*- housed with single speaker which I think is good and produces sound with great clarity. The AKG in ear earphones that comes with the package are also of great quality and produces the best of the music you are listening to.
*Camera*- I feel is not up to the mark(Average , mainly front camera) , but you can install google cam 5.1 (only available) which really brings the best out of note8
# tips for saving battery
1) turn off the autobrightness
2) turn off the Always on display ( you can customize what you want on the display from settings)
3) do timely battery optimization from settings
4) turn off the fast charging mode ( will expand battery life)
5) turn off sync (as you can manually do it, and saves a lot of battery)
6) set location to battery saving
7) restart you device after every week
End Note - Note 8 is a great day to day phablet which is stylish as well as powerful .It will never let you down in performance area and you won't experience any lag what so ever( I personally haven't experienced any). The S pen comes handy and is quite useful for those who loves to makes notes on the go.
