Russell Hobbs Automatic Stainless Steel Electric Kettle DOME1515 1500 watt
I bought this kettle in October last year. Was quite happy with the performance. As good as my Philips and it had a longer cord. The only small issue I have faced is that when pouring out the boiling water, the handle becomes a little warm. Not a deal breaker. The kettle has been lying unused for the last 7 months due to the "lockdown". When we started using it again, it started working for a couple of days and then stopped. Russell Hobbs "after sales service" team came to my house and picked up the kettle for repairs as it was still under warranty. It was delivered back in a working condition after about a week. A bit of a long time but overall I am satisfied that the Company kept it's side of the warranty and repaired the kettle.
Update 1 : Sad to note that just 3 days after getting the kettle back from repair, it has stopped working again!! This is not really acceptable. They are going to pick up the kettle again (after 2 or 3 days) for repair and if it takes another week, I guess I will have to buy a stand by kettle. Will go with Philips this time. My last plastic kettle was a cheap product. Cost about 500. Lasted 7 years!! Finally gave it away as it was looking old and shabby - but, it was still working. Russell Hobbs need to take some lessons in quality control.
Update 2 : The Seller has replaced the original kettle with a new piece. I have to say that I am fairly impressed with their after sales service.

Disappointed
I bought this knowing fully well about Russel Hobs being high quality. It barely lasted me 3 months and it just stopped working overnight. I contacted amazon and I was asked to write in a complain to the seller through the amazon portal. It’s sad and disappointing to mention that my query was not addressed by either amazon or the seller! I hope Impex retail responds to this review at least.

Got the broken base kettle
This product I ordered 2 for gifting purpose
One was good but the other is delivered broken base
As I am out of station was not able to check the parcel got to know when this is gifted as the base is broken now the return window is closed

I have ordered this 2 kettles for my in laws who stay away from Hyderabad and as I was out of station got it delivered to my uncles house and asked him to give to my in-laws when he visits the place and we never knew that it will be delivered with broken base just realised yesterday when the product reached my in laws place and when they opened to use it

Broken product delivered
I was travelling while this package arrived and so checked it much after the return window closed. The worst thing was that I found the handle broken(photo attached) when I opened it. It definitely feels like very cheap plastic.
Then I tried to check functionality. I found the on-off switch was stuck in off position and kettle is ‘on’. After some efforts, the switch came to proper position. Again feels like the second grade product. Then I found that even after the water started boiling the kettle temperature control didn’t switch it off.
Overall, very low quality product and definitely not up to the mark of Russell Hobbs brand. I request customer care to refund my money and I’d like to buy other brand.

Product received in damaged condition, When I was opened box product already damaged on Handle and base plate also damaged condition. Need to improve good product delivery. Now I am returning this product. 0 star for this product

Poor quality in every aspect
My old Philips kettle lasted 8 years and this one didn't survive for 7 months. It's tacky with poor quality wiring, loose screws that have been rattling inside from the beginning. The thermostat is unreliable, it smells of something burning if it is used for more than 2 cups of water. It keeps making clicking sounds after the water is heated. Do yourself a favour and don't get this.

there is no transparent water level visibility from outer side as mentioned in the manual. also the base is not sturdy so the kettle can not be firm on the surface where you keep the overall unit.. therefore,you will have to be careful while handling, due to metal surface,kettle surface becomes very hot,so one should be careful not to touch it.but the performance looks better till date and its from a world famous British company. Warranty of two years is also generous.

Third class product Disgusting service
I purchased this item on 23 Oct 2020. Within two months water started leaking from Its cutoff electrical switch as shown in the photo and cutoff stopped working. The kettle will continue to boil water non-stop and will not cut-off. I called the number given in the advertisement on this page, I was asked to leave my number for call back, a lady called after two days and said she will depute a technician to attend the same day. No one called or turned up after that for several days that I waited. If this is not disgusting then what is this? Russell Hobbs should be ashamed of their product and service.

Won't last long
Bought in June20, not working now dec20; dead in 6 months. It looks like the base unit in effective, the center connector, looks like gets loose overtime. removing it & pressing it together makes it to work sometime. Similar issues with other brands as well. Now finding service center in an headache.

Poor quality / design MAJOR ELECTRICAL SAFETY HAZARD.
I was shocked to see a poorly designed kettle from a reputed manufacturer RusselI Hobbs. Current was leaking on the kettle body when the switch was put on. Fortunately I had taken the precaution of using a tester and detected the leak. I took the kettle to your service centre ( within 2 days of purchase). I was told the cause is the two pin plug with no earthing. How could such a design be manufactured especially with a major safety implication. On changing to a 3 pin plug system the problem got resolved. Wiring in my house is proper - I use a number of appliances for so many years with no problem.PLEASE HIGHLIGHT THIS TO THE MANUFACTURER lest an unwary customer gets an electric shock with very "unpleasant" consequence.

Poor quality Product and Service
1.5 L kettle was purchased on July 27, 2020. On December 1, 2020, the on/off switch went bad. I tried to contact Russell Hobbs for providing a service center number so the problem can be resolved. They are no help. This product is Made in China and therefore quality is not good. I purchased based on my past experience with the company while I was out of India. I am disappointed with the Product and service.

Overall perfect for heating with only one drawback---less cord length
Very sturdy and robust structure. Huge in size, perfect for a family during this rainy n winter season. Water gets heated super quick and stays hot for quite long time, I personally loved it. But only problem is the cord length as it's too small. This is the reason in not giving 5 star, otherwise worth every penny. 👍👍👍

The Kettle is Pretty Good Value for Money!
First up got a good deal of 799. Got 2 of them. The Kettle is working pretty fine for now. Been using it for one week. Big comfortable handle. Only small issue is the cord which is smaller than my previous Bajaj Kettle. So to use it in the same spot just put my old non working mini oven as a lift. Alternatively people can use Extensions or maybe use it in a spot parallel to a switchboard.
Water heats up within 2-3 minutes and stays warm enough for a while. Still to use it for a lengthy period. Will update more later. Incase I do not update in a few months you can message or mail me via Amazon.

Has an English name but is manufactured in China with very cheap material.
The handle is supposed to stay cool when the water is boiling. It doesn't gets hot

Product is not well designed
1. Plastic used for the base and handle is very inferior quality .
2. After heating the handle under the switch area gets too hot to hold - its a bad effect
Bottom of the mug is not joint less like some other products . It has a round joint at the bottom inside
3. I have another model which is not having this kind of problems
4. Lot of noise while boiling

brand has let down for this product
Takes long to get water boil if it’s filled full.
Also the handle gets extremely hot which it shouldn’t.
I have used the brand for various other kitchen stuff and all works really good.
Kettle is a bit of a disappointment!

Russell Hobbs kettle quality
Within 10 days of using it as i got it mid December i noticed the base of it was getting discoloured. I guess the quality is pathetic. I ordered stainless steel thinking it will be the best but was surprised that this happened so fast.

This product stopped working within two months . I contacted the seller and they say they cannot return or excchange this product even though the page clearly mentions its got a 2 year warranty! Its a scam.

Didn't expect this from Russel Hobbs
I have been using RH products since decades overseas...this kettle I bought in India (could feel Chinese make the moment I saw the plastic quality and weight of the product which reeks of low quality copper for sure) and it has gone kaput in just 3 months time. JUST NOT ACCEPTABLE, what's going on Russel Hobbs? Pushing all third grade products into India?

Plastic smell and water drips from lid
So the initial few days had a lot of plastic after taste and smell and even after a few uses this still continues. Hoping it goes away. You also need to be careful when you open the lid after boiling water in case you need to refill. The hot condensation on the lid drips onto your hands quite a bit. The kettle does get quite hot on the outside and you have to be very very careful. It is a good product otherwise in the price range I got it for.

Different Brand .... Not worth
I ordered the kettle of Russell Hobbs Automatic Stainless Steel Electric Kettle DOME1515 1500 watt - 1.5 Litre what I received id some random brand (never heard of) with different capacity. The cord length is very small. The quality of product is also not good. Feeling deceived.

Warranty 2 years, but service not available...
The product is good, but if it works for you..if due to some problem you have to invoke the warranty., then better to buy a new kettle. I am struggling for last 15 days to get the malfunctioning kettle repaired under warranty, obviously without success..the mobile numbers, email ids of the workshop appears to be non functional..very difficult..

The customer care service is even worse , inspite of me having a guarantee card the mumbai agent is insistent on a bill .
Will try now if can get a bill from Amazon

Chinese kettle with British name
Terrible Chinese product with British name.Warrant card is there but no dealers address or where to send for repairs. Chrome inlay on the lid is extremely cheap n awful looking.

Average product, not too great.
The kettle works well and holds a good amount of water. However the plastic element underneath the kettle is of cheap quality. The cord is also short, it could have been a bit longer. It is an okay product. I wish they would have used slightly better plastic.

I bought my kettle on 21st Sept 2019. Stopped working in 11 months. Customer service does not answer phone. Website contact form keeps showing error. E-mail messages don't go through. Total FRAUD. Amazon please stop allowing such sales

HOW TO GET A REPLACEMENT AND WHO TO CONTACT?
Stopped working after 2 weeks. The base where the kettle stands on doesn't work so will not heat. There is no way to contact the supplier to complain so no way to get it replaced inspite of the 2 year warranty. This is against Policy and what is Amazon going to do about it? DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT IT IS JUNK

Stopped working in 2 months
I bought this kettle around 2 months ago and it stopped working yesterday i only use it once a day to boil water the service Center is 30 kms away from my house I will have to waste a full working day to get it repaired

Unsafe product
Used for only two days switch and auto cut stopped working .water keeps on boiling .I have to turn it off from the socket . Local (desi) make under good brand very poor workmanship.

Works Well
No complaint at all. It is working fine. Only the length of the cord could have been bigger. One thing, the handle was broken, you can see it in the picture. I have attached it using a feviKwik. But not at all disappointed. Please take care of the handling for future orders.

Quality is bad all things are good but it's opening was to bad quality they made
Product is not Soo good because it's opening was to bad as it's opened automatically it's opening was broken not good in my view they have made product good as it heat very quickly but it's quality they have made was not good if they work on product quality then it would be better

This is second product I bought, really worthless it started leaking from the first use and the lid came off by the third use and now its scary to use and it give some small electric shocks.

Diseño genial y hierve súper rápido!
Me encantó el diseño, hierve el agua en poco más de 5 minutos! Es súper fácil de usar. El asa no se calienta en absoluto, el lugar en donde la colocas no se calienta en absoluto.
El cuerpo de la hervidora si se calienta es lógico, pero lo curioso es que la parte de abajo de la hervidora cuando la quitas de la base después de hervir el agua solamente queda tibia lo cual es genial porque la puedes colocar en cualquier lado después de hervir, de cualquier forma yo pongo una base para cosas calientes. Sí la recomiendo no te arrepentirás!

Muy buena y linda hervidora
Tiene un hermoso diseño y resulta muy práctica. Calienta el agua sumamente rápido y el termómetro resulta muy conveniente para calentar hasta la exacta temperatura que uno desea. Espero que tenga una larga vida.
