Cheap and easy to use
if you want to put more than a litre in get a different one but anything a litre and under this one is pretty good for, along with that it's really easy to use.
P.S the cable is longer than it looks in the images.

It's rubbish. Look elsewhere.
Philips have been making blenders for a lifetime and can usually be counted on.
While 'only' 450w, it blends surprisingly well. The matte black finish won't pick up fingerprints and the angled control knob is a clever touch.
So what's the problem? Unusually, the blades are welded to the jug with a plastic seal, which surely won't last.
Before using it, I blended a few times with cold water to wash it out and was *astonished* to see small water droplets appear under the jug. Yep - that permanently welded blade unit had breached and was already leaking!
Maybe it was a one off, but it shows where its flaw will be. As replacement jugs aren't available, don't expect this blender to last. How can Philips justify this? Sure, it reduces parts and manufacturing is a simpler, but at what cost to the user and the planet?
Also, the suction feet on the base don't hold it still. Really annoying. This means (on my worktop at least) it doesn't stay put when attaching the jug.
It's all annoying because the blending quality borders on outstanding and the noise level is good but this non-detachable blade is a major reliability issue waiting to happen.

I thought the leaking was a one-off, so got a replacement sent (I couldn't find blenders at reasonable prices anymore - thanks, inflation!). It didn't leak this time…
…but it didn't need to, because after a month, the knob broke! So, that's two units both with faults. This is cheap trash!
I can only recommend spending double (cheaper in the long run) and going for Kenwood or Tefal.

Great for smoothies - but too easy to accidentally knock on / off switch to 'on' position.
Very good and quick blender (though noisy) and very easy to clean, but one important issue - the grey on / off switch can be easily knocked into the on position without noticing and no clear indicator that it is on - then when you go to plug it in it starts immediately - which caught me out badly once and led to a load of liquid flying out - onto the kitchen wall - and also near to a plug socket, so potential hazard. Since then I've made sure to double check the switch is in the 'off' position before plugging in. Other than that has been great and very easy to clean compared to previous blender / smoothie maker I had.

Still Great After 1 Year Of Use
I don't know why this blender has been receiving lots of hate? Is it the worst blender, as some people wrote? ABSOLUTELY NOT! I've been using it for a year now, and it's going strong. It's powerful but noisy, but this is to expect from a budget blender. It's easy to clean.
The 1.25 liters is plenty for my needs, and it's perfect for crushing ice, frozen fruit, veg, oats, and nuts. No issues here with the lid falling off, it's properly sealed when I use it. I highly recommend this blender for the price.

I read all the available reviews before I ordered mine & I am so happy with the performance of my blender. It's just a matter of adapting to the appliance & it's uphill from there. No complaints at all.

Design fault
I wanted to love but it’s a nightmare to use if you make Keto coffee with !!! EVERTIME it spurts hot coffee out when you try and blend, either way on switch no matter how gently you do , I burnt myself several times , it spurted all up kitchen shelves and over work top ! The only way I can still use is by placing tea towels over the lid , it still spurts out of lid hole and front spout but It’s only way to use !!! DO NOT RECOMMEND

Bit flimsy?
Sadly just had to throw away blender 30+ years old. This Phillips one seems very flimsy and a bit cheap looking. I thought the jug was quite small? I guess you get what you pay for but not too impressed. It did work but not sure how long it will last?

Don’t plug in until covered!!!
Warning, careful when using this blender. The start button is so large easy to press it on before your ready had a couple of mishaps with blender contents going everywhere.
Otherwise an ok blender, easy to clean and grips well on the work top

I know it was only thirty quid but....
This just feels incredibly cheap and flimsy. They do say you get what you pay for. Well, this feels like a bout 3 quid's worth. I've not used it yet by my, it's a cheap looking item. Made in China. Ya' don't say...

Brilliant, bought this to puree my sons homemade food instead of buying baby food pouches or jars, meaning I have a happy baby!!
Use this at least 3 times a week to puree several portions of food and its so simple to use!
Easy to clean and the jug isn't heavy unlike previous blenders I've owned!
The suction power is great and keeps the blender in place when in use. Good size, allows for several portions of food to be blended whilst not taking up to much space on the counter.
Also great for conjuring midnight margaritas too, which makes for a happy mama too!

Check the switch is off before putting the jug on
Good blender, plenty of power, however there is no safety cut off, so if you have caught the switch and turned it on and you put the jug section on it automatically starts, a bloody nightmare if you left the lid off, happend once , never again

Very strange design… there is a hole in the lid. Are they aware of this?? Am I supposed to risk my hand lying on the blender to fill the hole? I don’t get it.
But except for this- lightweight blender that does the job for a budget.

No Lid Delivered!
The blender it’s self is very good value for money, however I received a product with no plastic top meaning the contents leaks all over the place

The switch is tricky to control.
The switch is difficult to control it goes from a quick blast to constant which can cause a mess as it did in my case.
