I got this a bit over a year ago for a build I was following from MaximumPC magazine. (Google How to Build an Awesome Gaming PC for $647) They had carefully spec-ed out the parts list, and so a lot of the horror stories of endless trouble shooting with new builds and/or memory upgrades never materialized. Motherboards and memory MUST be checked for compatibility. I know this sounds painfully obvious to some, but it's apparently far from universal knowledge. As a recently graduated from noob status builder myself, I sympathize.These run cool owing to their low voltage specifications and the sporty looking heat dissipaters/handles up top. Price has dropped from the $104 I paid last year, so snap them up while you can. The older build lists such as the one I mentioned up top can still perform basic tasks without apologies, so there is definitely life left in the DDR2 format. Again, check compatibilities first, no matter what.

Installed new motherboard ASUS P5G41-M LE/CSM, Intel Pentium E6500 dual core 2.93GHz 65W, Cooler Master Hyper N520 CPU cooler, Samsung Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB SATA drive, Windows 7 Pro SP1 64bit(full) OEM and this memory PatriotPGS24G6400ELK 4GB (2 x 2). Windows 7 installing failed with blue-screen errors using default hardware setup. Memtest86+ showed memory failures running at default settings for processor and memory(DDR-800). Then I changed FSB and set memory to DDR 750 or less then all worked OK. Memtest86+ ran 8 hours with FSB 280 and memory at DDR 700 settings. Windows 7 also installed and ran OK for these settings. I tested with some old Crucial DDR-1066 2 GB(2 x 1) memory and ran at FSB 333 and ddr 1066 with no problems. The E6500 and ASUS motherboard overclock very well using other memory, but not with this Patriot PGS24G6400ELK memory.

memory worked perfect after installed, stock performance is greatran memtest86 to make sure DIMM were ok (I did this because got bad DIMMs from corsair twice)all tests passed100% happy with this product

Bought this memory kit because it had lifetime warranty and I've heard only good things about Patriot and their line of products. They weren't compatible with my Asus p5k motherboard, the computer froze at the most random moments. Sometimes after 5 minuter, sometimes after 5-6 hours. I installed them in my girlfriends computer (am2+ motherboard...Asus something) and they work like a charm.

This memory is decently fast & for my computer a huge upgrade considering I'm not yet ready to change out my motherboard for ddr3. Win7 rating 7.3 with amd phenom2 3400ghz.

I have never used memory from Patriot but it seems to work fine. My system had no issues with the memory and it has definitely provided a performance boost, extending the life of my machine.

Cant beat the deal for 4 gigs of memory. Only bad thing wasn't from the product my motherboard doesn't accept the the 5-5-5-12 timing.

Plugged it in, and it worked fine. Nuf said right? Having said that, I did have to go to the manufacturers website to verify compliance with my motherboard. Amazon could include more specs such as voltage and cas latency for easier matching to a particular motherboard. Just a thought.

Bought 8GB(4 X 2GB) of this RAM and it runs lightning fast! Everything on my computer from basic applications to loading and installing software runs so smooth. No waiting for programs to load. Even graphics intensive web pages load immediately. I would recommend this to anyone.

I have had a Quad Core Inspiron 530 for over a year. I upgraded it to 4GB around 9 months ago, and recently found out, now that on Windows 7 64 Bit, it can support 8 GB of RAM. I was not in a hurry to find the memory, but recently saw these on sell. So I picked up a pair (2 x 2GB), turned off my pc, took out a pair of 1GB sticks and installed these. Rebooted, and just worked. It has 6 GB of memory (unfortunatly the 1 GB sticks are slower, so operating on a slower speed, but the performance is just better). I noticed when I have a lot of apps open (especially if doing video editing, the performance jumped!)If you have a Dell Inspiron 530, these will work well in your system. (they also have a heat sink on them, so they stay pretty cool). Very good buy...

I put this memory in my HP 1540 desktop. Win 7 Pro reclocked the memory and it went from 5.1 stock to 6.4 with Patriot Mem. Add to that the rebate and I resold the original sticks for $$ and this was a sweet deal. A great way to get a few more clock cycles out of an old CPU.
