the batteries run out of juice very quickly compared to the last sets of panasonic phones that i have owned. if you keep your handsets in the cradle all the time, then this wont matter to you. however, if you carry your handset around most of the time (as i do) then you will see that you go back to the cradle to recharge the phone much more often.
also, just a small, but the low battery warning seens to go off when there is still a lot of life left in the batteries..they might want to recalibrate that low battery warning.
I use hearing aids for near normal hearing and the loudness of the phone on speaker is adequate at max in a quiet room but I'd love to have the sound a bit louder at times and that is not available.
The following may be generic to all wireless phone sets, but if one is on the phone, there is no provision for an incoming caller to record a message. I contacted Panasonic, was told for that capability I would have to use my carrier (COMCAST) and it's either their unit or COMCAST, no way to use both. I chose COMCAST out of necessity as I use my phone in Census work so people responding to me need to be able to leave a message if I'm on the line with someone else. But how I'd love to be able to switch back and forth. . .
Overall I still give this set 5 stars as so much about it is just right.
The number one reason I love it is that I could easily import my 100+ contact list with the push of a button. The second reason I love it is that there is a dedicated "call block" button. If I answer the phone only to discover that it is a robocall, I can push call block and it is automatically added to my blocked numbers list. The blocked numbers list holds 250 numbers! Yea! Plus it can block extensions for scam calls.
This phone essentially gives you a second or third phone line without paying your phone company extra. Once you have paired your cell phone, you can answer and make phone calls from your cell phone using this Panasonic system and you can make phone calls using your home/main phone number. You can pair two cell phones to the system, which is great for couples.
I also love the 250 Call Block button on the handset. Beats using the provider's Call Block, that usually has a limited (Cox has a *60 with 30 entries). Just push the button. Another thing, the voice that announces the call (caller ID) is squeaky and would be nice if the user could choose from a few other tones. My other was way better.
Container suffered, contents appeared ok. Was tempted to send back, of course no return label.
Bit the bullet anyway and set-up the phone(s), so far all are working fine.
The price was outstanding cheap and the quality I assumed would be good.
The handsets also have a low battery indicator which speaks and I like this function.
Sound quality is the only very major flaw and it's difficult hearing people speak. When I use the speaker feature that doesn't help. My family is disappointed with this phone system. It's definitely not worth purchasing.
October 2020
I can't in good faith recommend this product.
reliable than the new Panasonic system, and that's not saying much.
Additionally, the phones blow through their batteries and you have to rechard every few days. I need to go back to buying from Best Buy for electronics, this is third or fourth item I've been disappointed about from Amazon.
Aside from some really good features, it wasn’t the phone for me.
So, I sent it back and bought the Panasonic Amplified cordless phone.
Big difference in sound. I’m only 1/2 way on the volume when I’m on speaker phone. There is another way you can get even more clarity is the “Tone” button on the side of the phone. I haven’t tried this feature yet. I’m interested in how the sound will be.
