I purchased this phone recently and have very bad opinion about it. It sounds very noisy even at short distance from the Base. It is not switching the channel properly. It is hard to believe that 2.4GHZ phone is working such poorly in reception.

This phone had horrible sound quality. You sound like you are in an echo chamber when you speak into it and you don't sound so good on the other end either so I am told. I returned mine within a few days.

I've tried this phone two times, just because of its rich features, but Panasonic being the big name company like it is has failed me both the times.If you forget to remove the handset from the base unit for a day or two, you'll be doomed (like ppl don't go on vacation). After leaving the handset on the phone over a day, it blew up something in the phone, now every time I try to dial a number it wd keep sounding the dial tone like it didn't accept the key. Also, ppl calling me can't hear me while I can. I exchanged this unit from the store, thinking a surge or something might have caused it & installed a surge protector with it, but to no avail the second one also ended up with the same problem.Now, I can't even return it as I am over the return period & the customer service is of no use, they want me to pay for shipping & handling to their service centre for a repair or refurbished unit. ...

I bought this phone because of the features. I was happy with it for about a month or so, then the problems began. Accessing the caller directory is a guessing game. How will I access it this time? Press the right arrow key and then the down arrow to scroll through? Oh, that doesn't work this hour...this hour I have to just press the down arrow key. Next hour it's pressing the right arrow key twice, THEN the down arrow key. Grrr!The battery worked fine for about 2 months. Now it can't hold a charge and my max talk time is 30 minutes. It takes approx. 6-8 hours to recharge it enough to again be able to talk 30 minutes.Stay away from this phone. I'm now researching V-Tech and the Olympia OL. My requirements are fairly simple: CallerID, an easily accessed caller directory, and the ability to see the last 10 or so calls, a battery that can hold a charge and a decent "talk-time". I thought these were fairly common, simple items to expect in a phone of this supposed "caliber". Obviously I was very wrong.Too bad there isn't a way to give 0 stars or "negative" icons!

This phone is great, all the features, the speakerphone built into the handset, etc. The biggest drawback is the battery. THe battery doesnt hold the charge well, or maybe the phone draws to much from it. Ive had numerous cordless phones over the years, but this one takes the cake. We always have to put it back on the charger, it never lasts more than a few hours off the charger.Make sure when you hang it up for a recharge that the phone is faced toward the base, meaning it charges more quickly that way, the only drawback is that you cant see the caller ID screen that way.

The phone is kinda cool! We are taking it back, and based on our experience and other unfavorable reviews it will be a return, not an exchange for another one. Paid over $... at Costco for this phone. Never paid $... for a phone before. Never had problems early on like this! Problem? Noise! It's as if it's a pre-900 mHz phone. There's interference. It's bad enough for others to have commented on it and we've only had it about 2 weeks. Also, if I'm listening to the messages and pick up the receiver to call someone, the playback ceases. It can't do two things at once. Finally, the menus for turning off the ringer (so I can sleep) are somewhat convoluted. Otherwise it's a pretty cool little unit. Sad to have to take it back.

The reason I picked this phone is because it was rated high by Consumer Reports. I am glad I didn't let the bad reviews get in the way. I have a disability which causes me problems holding on to items. The speakerphone in the handset is just what the doctor ordered. Editing and storing numbers from the caller's list to the directory is a breeze. Setup was a snap. I have only had it for two months but I haven't experienced any problems with the battery. It's a winner.

I have had this phone for several weeks now, and I love it! It is extremely easy to use and set up, the sound is crystal clear, and so far no complaints! When I read so many bad reviews of this phone, I was seriously thinking of returning it! But I have held off, and I'm glad I did. The range is super, answering machine crystal clear, and you can store a lot of your frequently dialed numbers, which I love -- no more searching for phone numbers. Plus it has that "high-tech" appearance -- looks good!

The battery on my phone, as well as other reviewers', lost its charge very quickly and completely died just a few months after I bought it. I can not find a replacement battery anywere, locally or on the internet. Panasonic can't even replace the battery. Also, Panasonic's customer service is not lacking, it is non-existant. Do not waste any money on this company.

This phone is not worth the money! For starters, the battery will not hold a charge and the phone gives no warning that the battery will die. In addition, the reception quality is horrible - is constant static. The speakerphone is a nice feature, but it is difficult for people to hear you on it. Stay away from this product.

I dont know what Panasonic have done here, but I cannot complete a long conversation (say 75 minutes) without the battery going dead. Lately, it has been far less than that. This is starting with a full charge. You would think that in a cordless phone this would be something they would get right. Unfortunately - it makes the telephone worthless - and I will have to return it. What a pity - I thoughtI could rely on Panasonic.

Do not buy this phone. After charging for 2 days, we still can not get any more than 5-10 minutes out of a FULLY charged phone. No warning just CLICK, and now the phone battery reports getting low. Phone was fine for first couple weeks, and apparently this is a common problem with this model ... YUCK. And I loved my old Panasonic

I know the other reviewers didn't rate this phone very well. I have only had it for a month but haven't seen anything that bad with it. The sound/reception is fine, the answering machine works well and it stays charged for a long time. Let's hope all this continues.
