Hello,Just bought this product and till now it proves to be worth the money spent. It has a great speaker, good comfortable controls on the base station as well as on the hand set. Holds charge for longer duration. On the attractions - I like the color profiles much,meaning if u use the IP phone the display color will be orange and if u use a landlines(Digital line) it will glow green. And also different callers can be assigned different colors.There is no hassles during setup,quiet simple and straight.I still have to explore more on the IP phone services so I cant write much about that.Thats why I kept the overall rating at 4 stars.
In brief, For the Product & spec:"5 stars" - I experienced very poor sales service through Panasonic.So i would suggest try amazon itself.
IP service: Await more comments.

Does its job very well - am extremely pleased. Technical Support was also available - and it was much better than any other store I can think of. I have referred it to my friends and they have bought 5 phones so far - all work great!!!

I've bought the handsets (3) to add to the phone I've bought last year. It's good and has many functions. Color specific calls and ringtones are nice too. But I just use it for its regular functions and not to it's full capacity.

Ordered phones. Waited a month. Received notice that phones "were out of stock" and a credit card refund. So, never received phones. How do you rate that?

Good phone from technical perspective but it was unclear from descriptive on-line literature that the P-to-P internet capability was only for proprietary system contracted out by Panasonic. Since I didn't expect nor desire to be limited to a proprietary system, I did not get what I thought I had ordered. Not sure this is the fault of ignorance and insufficient research on my part or deliberate obfuscation by Panasonic.

Amber light was blinking continuously so tried contacting joip customer service. Looks like there is no way I can reach them.
Sent email at support@joip.com, but it bounced back. Called their 1-800 number which is just a recorded message.
I reset the device a couple of times, but still the same amber blinking light.
No other choice except returning it.

Did not work that well for me: the setup gave issues with the online website. Client service only responded once with promise to have tech expert call back. Never did. Still waiting, after 2 weeks, for answers to online queries and you get parked in 'hold' limbo when you call.
The monthly plans are not good at all and YOU CANNOT REMOVE THEM once you sign up. the only way is client service, but they do not answer the phone nor the mails.
Lastly: the connections have been hit and miss. Tried QoS on router but did not really help. Do not think it is my DSL since I use that with no problems for video conferencing and XBOX Live.
Anyways, nice looking phone, but they are not ready to support it.
This can only get worse now that they are throwing the phones online for bargain prices: spike in bandwidth, overwhelmed support. Bad bad.

I dodn't like the sound quality for the landline. Never used it for internet line, because I already have Vonage (internet phone).
Finally I bought another Panasonic KX-TG1033S which sounds much better with landline.

The battery supplied with this phone failed to sustain a charge about four or five months after I purchased the unit. I replaced it with a GE battery which worked properly thereafter. The phone itself stopped working about three years after purchase, although I never once dropped the receiver. I'm replacing it with a different brand.

This phone is extremely comfortable to talk on. It is rare in the world of phones to buy one not shaped like a board or stick. Now that the buttons are slowly petering out, we need a replacement-this phone is more than a decade old,our kids who have since been through college and are now married, used it as teens. It's the primary phone in the house. :(

After a year, it's still going strong. The reception is quite good considering I live in a concrete house. Works upstairs and down stairs. Have'nt changed the battery either.

This is a very good phone... Another good one from Panasonic. The VOIP voice quality is very good. No issues at all. Very good online account management tool as well.

I had a Panasonic phone when I bought this one and I thought this one would be much like it. was wrong. This one is too long, too heavy and the speaker quality is bad. Had I seen a review like this one I would not have bought it.

Bought one of these phones, four years ago. Loved it so much, 2 years later, I bought 3 more of them for my other home. Plus bought 2 extra handsets since they all work in the same cradle. I've never had problems with the batteries lasting, and while you have to get acclimated the "talking caller-id" sound *interpretation*, it still amazes me each time I hear it identifying the caller's NAME, not just a number, in my basement. I can even walk down the street, (+/-240 feet)outside to my car, and get reception. At first I tried the Siemen's talking caller-id model and hated it, very complex and not as many features. But this talking caller-id phone, while I don't think they make the exact model now, is one of the finest phones I've ever purchased. The sound quality is good on both the phone and speaker phone, it's easy to program, and AGAIN, the talking caller-id function makes it great when you can't get to the phone quickly; you know who's calling and whether or not to rush to answer.ONE BIG DRAW BACK-- but perhaps it's with my PC. Sometimes, when the phone rings, or I'm actually talking and on a wireless network, I'll get knocked off the Internet. I think this happens with most of the 2.4GHz products?Otherwise, it's a reliable, sturdy, dependable and has a long-lasting battery. It's a VERY GOOD phone system.
