I switched from an IPhone to the Windows OS last fall when the update from Apple took away the Mobile Me features and the ability for the phone to synce with Outlook for contacts and calenders. I had been using the apple products with my PC for about 4 years and it worked pretty well up until that point, Apple has made a clear commitment to work in a direction that appeals to social networks and game apps and seems to have thrown in the towel regarding business users. My first Windows Phone was the HTC Titan, great OS, lousy call quality and I would never recomend the device. The Lumina not only is a great piece of hardware but it has added Nokia features that allow it further rise above the HTC.The main thing that needs to be known for all to work well is you will need a Microsoft Exchange account, (about $60/ year, less than half or the Mobile Me cost). With that subscription you will be able to set the phone to sync with your PC and Outlook to maintain your contacts and calenders. You can view all of your mail, not only the inbox but the other folders as well and when you delete it on your phone it will also delete on the PC, sent items will appear in your sent folder on your PC as well. Syncing is almost instant and does not require any effort as the Apple products did.When you take a photo you can set it to automatically upload to Skydrive and then assign it to whatever folder you would like for anyone to view, no manual uploading one by one as with the Apple. This takes what used to be about an hour project and shortens it to a few minutes. Camera qualit is decent but I still carry a camera for more important shots.Sending video via email is very simple and the clip length is several time more than with the Apple device. Microsoft Office allows you to upload files and notes in any amount that you need via SkyDrive. All in all, if you have a Mac stick with your iphone, even though it does not have as many features and is slower, it will be more complatible with your other hardware, however if you are using Windows like most of the world, consider the Windows Phone, you will be amazed at what you had been missing.

First of all, if you have a few hundred bucks to spend on a mobile phone, please do yourself a favor and buy a phone that does not irritate you every time you use it. When you try to use the phone (taking pictures, sending an sms, watching a video), it either flips to the bing search engine or tellme (Nokia's version of SIRI) pops up or the screen is minimized automatically. All three of them are annoying and render the other features of the phone useless (although I must say tellme is the most irritating). I have researched the problem and it is not an isolated case. Hundreds of other customers apparently have the same problem (check out the nokia forum [...]) The bad news is that there seems to be no solutions to these problems (although some people have reported that using headphones will make these problems go away). In any case, my next phone is definitely going to be another brand. I suggest you do the same.

The phone didn't charge since day 1. It was very dissapointing receive a phone that does not charge and that it says factory unlocked but as in reallity is only an AT&T unlocked cell, it even seemed refurbished, I wouldn't never buy from this supplier ever.

I got this phone for presenting it to my dad.I highly recommend you guys to go for Lumia phone's if you are looking a phone for durability.If it accidentally falls from your hand i am sure it can withstand the impact pressure when compared to samsung.

Just received my phone yesterday...and I love it!! It arrived on time which is a plus and was fully charged. Slipped in an AT&T micro sim and I'm up and running with no problems. For anyone wanting this phone it's best to check out Youtube first for a full reviews on the phone before buying. I also clicked on the seller's reviews as well to see what I might expect, and I had no problems with them either. I was skeptical at first to purchase this phone due to the bad reviews. But after taking the time to actually sit and watch the reviews I knew what I was getting before it got here. Even still I didn't expect this phone to be as nice as it is. I got home last night and it was in my box and I haven't been able to put it down yet!!! The only thing I didn't like though was having to use Zune for my music player, not a deal breaker though. Love how Facebook is integrated, I really don't have to download the app to access it. All in all this has been a great experience purchasing my first unlocked phone!!!

I've always loved Nokia Phones, the Lumia 900 did not break my expectations, except for the (not so useful) Windows Phone 7.The hardware is really amazing, GPS, camera, compass... It has everything, the Nokia apps are really great and much more useful than the Microsoft ones.What really disappoints me is what Microsoft has done trying to copy the iOS from iPhone, the WP7 has so much limitations that makes me sad, can't use MP3 files as ringtones (actually you can, but they need to be shorter than 1MB and the album named as "ringtone"), you can't use any sound file as message,mail,alert etc except for the original ones. I've always recorded my own ringtones (other basic app that the WP7 DOESN'T have, sound recorder. You need to download some 3rd party recorder app).Not to mention the RIDICULOUS crap that apple did and Microsoft made even worse: You NEED to sync your phone with an specific software to add songs, pictures or videos to it (and that crappy ZUNE software is something that makes you really love to use iTunes). You can't access your phone memory by any means using windows desktop, that means you CAN'T add/copy/remove ANY file from it without using the (crappy) ZUNE software.

I have to start off by saying this Phone is the most stable platform I've used. I'm and Electronics Technologist and get all of my family and friends tossing their gadgets at me when they don't function quite right. Other products on the market that are 'popular for being popular' seem to have more issues than the less popular and more robust stable hardware out there. The old adage "I could sell 'ice' to the Inuit" comes right out of the marketing "hooray" book.Enough about my displeasure with other 'marketed' technologies... I made the unfortunate mistake of WASHING MY NEW 808 in the laundry the other night... GUESS WHAT!... IT STILL WORKS! after drying it in a bag of rice for a couple of days and nearly having a heart-attack seeing it in the bottom of the washer! It still does everything as if it were still brand new! I've seen a few other brands die from being in a steamy kitchen or bathroom. This Nokia 808 survived a WASH with a DOUBLE RINSE cycle!Best Nokia I've owned so far, better than my E71, better than my 5800Xpress, and slightly better than my N8 and waaay more stable/solid than my N9... From the above statements, quite more robust and solid structurally and hardware wise than any other "here take a look at this phone" I've had the pleasure of working on.(had to disassemble to dry 100%, very well put together)If you don't care about HYPE but like a good solid phone with great picture quality? BUY THIS PHONE!!!This Vendor ships fast and is quite easy to talk to :)

I really have just two things to mention that I think most other reviews missed.Battery:My wife has been using a Samsung Focus for a while and I already knew I will like the OS. But the battery life is what totally blew me away. This is almost impossible. Being the first week with the phone I am spending a lot of time on the phone - exploring features and apps. Add to that two hours of browsing over WiFi during my daily commute and I am still getting well over 30 hours on single charge. Batteries used to last this long in early 90's when all your phone could do was make calls.OS App Management:Being a desktop power user, I have a tendency to want full control over apps. I am constantly seeking something like task manager and end all apps that I am not currently using and there is no easy way to do that in Windows Phone 7.5. But the truth is that it does not matter how many applications are suspended, they are not really running and not taking any resources. Just open as many apps as you like and keep switching without worrying about using resources and battery. The OS takes care of it.Great camera, good display size for extended browsing, feels sturdy in your hand, fast growing list of quality apps, 4G fast, built in full GPS including voice directions (don't even need a data connection - Nokia Drive), low price ($0 till Apr 21st), full integration with Twitter and Facebook and the list goes on and on. It is impressive how you can go to the address book find a person and see their facebook updates, tweets, LinkedIn updates and even browse their Facebook albums without ever leaving the address book (or 'People' as they call it).I am totally in love with my new phone. My wife now is yelling at me constantly to put the phone away :)Edit (5/5/2012): Been over a month now. And I now have four email accounts, two calendars (personal and work), a bunch of apps using push notifications, and also a couple apps running in the background. I am now getting about 22 hours of battery life on a average day. Also I figured browsing over WiFi is a lot easier on the battery than 4G. Hope this helps.

I wish I could be rewarded for my Nokia loyalty because I have resisted the hype of other phones with other networks. I have the Nokia Lumia 900 4G with ATT and am enjoying the phone so far for both personal and light business. Typing is great and not at all aggravating like on the iPhone 4 and 5. I do miss some of the customizing options that the E series Nokias had, but the Lumia 900 looks and interfaces great right out of the box. They continue to make some mistakes with the Lumia 900 - like the battery is not replaceable. So I am curious about the lifespan - another bad design idea from Nokia. And I will keep all posted.I wish Nokia had not had some mis-steps over the last few years with phones that had a cheap plastic feel and no personality - the would not be in the trouble they are in now. But here is to looking forward to more phones that are well thought both from design to green design.And what's with all the different power cords? Can't manufacturers make them all the same and cut down on wastes! I would rather pay more for a cord that I can use with all Nokia phones past and future than to keep throwing a bunch away. It is truly a waste of a waste. Power cords can contain lead and other noxious metals and chemicals - not to mention the processes that got that to the functioning form. Nokia - can you be forward thinking in that area too? Customers - can you demand manufacturers consider this or you will not buy?

Switched over from the iPhone and am extremely and pleasantly surprised with this phone so far. Very fun and user friendly. The only thing I don't like about it is the Windows Marketplace, which isn't as good as the Apple Store and how large it is. Much bigger than I imagined it would be.

The phone has a decent enough touchscreen. The home screen is super-customizable. The QWERTY isn't actually as bad to type with as it may seem. It just requires a few minutes to get used to it. With the small form factor, it's really easy to type with one hand, except for me since I have itty-bitty hands.If you're a regular Nokia user (not Lumia), it would be much, much easier to get used to the works of the user interface. The camera is only 3.2MP without flash, so don't expect SLR-quality photos. At the right side of the phone are the volume and lock buttons.By default, there are certain button which access common features, like when the space bar is held down, the wi-fi menu pops up. At the top side of the phone are three holes: charging port, USB (not exactly sure how to connect it as the product doesn't come with it, but the common Mini-USB to USB OTG doesn't seem to fit), and 3.5mm audio jack. When you're charging, don't be afraid to force down the plug into the phone until the white ring touched the top side of the phone.A good phone overall for one who isn't into Instagram and wants a touch phone that also has a physical keyboard and that won't hurt your wallet.

I'd been a wm fan since win ce - wm6 then I switched to something else. I used to love wm so much for its apps availability & freedom. This one is a little disappointed to me for my apps choice.If you were spoiled by BB or iOS, you're not going to like this thing.Else,The good: sexy and fast, good cameraThe bad: Battery life sucks so bad. It only last me for a day, so if you plan on going somewhere without power source, please bring another phone as a back up.

I have used pretty much all the smartphone OS (Android, IOS, BB, WP7). Many times if not the OS the device had failed to work on several tasks in the past. For example: My Samsung Vibrant would always fail to register for GPS. My iPhone connection would drop and the reception was sometimes so crappy that I had to forget that I was using a phone. Then I used G2X as being the fastest android on its times (Dual core etc). Soon I figured that dual core doesn't matter to run the phone faster. I switched to SGSII to and still the same result. The screen of SGS2 was horrendously over saturated.I saw Lumia 900 when I was at Best Buy. The phone's UI and hardware was fluid and everything worked as expected. 1 Week later I bought Lumia 900 phone. I was little skeptical of buying any new phones as I was tired of every smartphone tending to slow down over time. Btw, G2X was crazy slow just after few weeks.I am using this phone as my daily driver and I am so amazed that it has worked in every area . GPS, directions, yelping, emails, sync, social accounts and much more. I just don't have anything to complain about this phone except one thing, Camera. Camera is not as great as I expected from Nokia. I have used Nokia phones before and their camera quality is comparable to Digital Cameras but not this one. I have the purple tint problem on most of the images that I click through this phone. This is specifically for the images taken from the camera. Nothing related to screen display. The fix is to basically click on "Auto-Fix" after you click the picture. This should fix the issue. But hey, I don't use camera every day, so I am fine with it. If I take all the features and camera issue in to consideration, this phone is by far the best device I have used as a smartphone. There are always few minor things that might bother other people but comparing those to other smartphone issues is absolutely nothing. I would give this phone a perfect 5 stars.

I am not a fan of this product and had to return it due to the fact that the first time, the phone was not truly unlocked, and the second phone I received could not hook on to t-mobiles 4g Internet network. I ended up paying the return shipping for the phone. Very unhappy. I would not recommend this item for someone other than an AT&T user.

With practically nothing running in the background--no apps, no wifi, no bluetooth, no live tiles, nothing, and very light to light use (one or two phone calls a day and that too for not more than 10 mins per call and two or three text messages a day), the battery drain is significant. average battery life is 12-14 hours.So before you buy a Lumia 900 you must carefully think about the battery drain even if the phone is sitting idle.

I'm coming from the n8 so its a great upgrade for those ppl coming from N8 its an upgrade all the way around and as stated in many reviews the best camera, video and audio in a phone after using it for a week i would say it even rivals most point and shoot cameras.And for app selection and os i have found everything i need (not everything i want) but for the most part its a good phone specially for those coming from other symbian devicesand the reason it didn't get 5 stars is cuz of the most reported 3g bug that many users have even nokia has stated that there is a problem and covers this issue with the warrenty and on the nokia site that took me to amazon and at the time tablet distributer was the one to sale the phone also it clearly states us warrenty on the site but when I contacted nokia they said there isn't any warrenty for this market even the box says us warranty so i will have to contact amazon about thisover all minus the problems i had and for a symbian device i think it earned five stars but until these issues are corrected. I can't give it that rating.

It is a bit expensive so I hesitated before buying the 808 PureView, but I have no regrets. I am loving this phone!OS: A lot of reviews gripe about the OS (Symbian Belle) and compare it to Android and iOS. I have used an iPhone for a while, and this version of Symbian is just as good. Everything runs very smooth, even when viewing the 38mp photos. The Nokia browser is usable, but definitely not the best. Still, you can just install Opera Mobile which is a fantastic browser. Everything I need in a phone OS is working well - for example I can sync my Google contacts and calendar.Apps: Admittedly there are far fewer apps available than on the major phone platforms, but there seems to be enough good apps for most peoples' needs. The mobile version of most websites (amazon, wikipedia, etc) work fine when there is no app available.Maps: Nokia has the best maps suite, hands down. The maps are preloaded on your phone, so they save bandwidth and work when you don't have a signal. The Nokia 'Drive' GPS app is also excellent for turn-by-turn directions.Camera: I don't need to say much about this, other than it is as good as people are saying. You have more custom control over your shots than any other phone camera, and higher quality than most point-and-shoot cameras.Screen: The AMOLED screen is much lower res than the iPhone "Retina" display, so I thought this might be an issue. It turns out, it is not too bad. Photos still looks very sharp and the screen works great in bright light. Web sites are sharp enough. The lower res screen also helps with battery life.Before I got my hands on the phone I would've guessed that it would be a 4-star product. It has exceeded my expectations in every way: 5 stars!

I bought this product and within three months have gone and bought a new phone because the phone sucks. My husband has at&t and the unlocked phones are at&t but yet it still doesn't work. I contacted the seller and got blow off!! I am so disappointed by this experience and recommend everyone look at another phone for your needs!!! I have attempted to write a review for the seller but my computer won't let me.I AM ONE DISAPPOINTED CUSTOMER!!!!!!!!!!
