The only game I play on this is the target practice game. The other games are worthless with the exception of the tanks, which is no better than any flash animation version you can play for free online. The target practice game is only good with a gun attachment of some sort. I use the Perfect Shot. I got this because it came with a Remote. This version does not, and thus, is not worth it. 2 stars because the shooting is fun, and you don't have to bother with any other game to get to it... which reminds me... you cant play ANY other game on this, until you have played the previous game on the disk. Tanks is last, so if you want to get to that you have to play the awkward ping-pong, the slow and sloppy pool, and you have to race some mentally challenged cows with clumsy controls, along with some other worthless games. Least you don't need a good score to pass them...

I'm absolutely happy with my Wii. The Sports Resort games are entertaining, and I can see images in SD cards in form of a nice slideshow.I've played Swordplay, Table Tennis, Cycling, Archery and Bowling, and liked each of these.

I just bought Wii Play with Wii Remote for $49.99. I agree with reviewer Bipi101 "... this is a 10$ game bundled with a remote. Only worth buying because it comes with remote, other than that, it should be in the 15$ bin."The games are fun and good for learning Wii controls and movements, but they are not very in-depth. Each game lasts only 2-5 minutes. I expected more. I would definitely not pay over $10-15 for this game, but with the remote, it's a good value.I do disagree with Bipi101 "... This is a great buy if you need another remote, and want to have some multiplayer games in your library. If you already have 4 remotes, I would wait until this game is sold without the remote in the cheap bin before you pick it up. This has multiplayer longevity, but you probably won't find yourself playing this game alone." Actually, I enjoyed the games more as a single player.I would NOT pay over $15 for this game by itself! Amazon was very prompt in delivering my Wii and it is everything it is supposed to be! My husband and I, 74 and 69, respectively, are having a blast playing the Sports resort games! We seldom go to the movies and there are not many opportunities for wholesome entertainment where we live, so this has been an enriching addition to our lives. We've even had friends over to play. Thanks for a fun time, Wii and Amazon! We will be purchasing more games as well.

With all the DS systems floating around and now a black WII which is the same a previous models Nintendo seems to be doing a alot of double dipping lately. I can see if this system had improvements like the new 360 model but this is just a black Wii???

The Nintendo Wii is ingenius! It appeals to a wide diversity of people from small children to active seniors; novice to avid gamers. The console is easy to use and fun to play while potentially giving the user a workout and a more interactive way to play video games with the use of wii sensor remotes. Although, some of the more advance games (i.e. Mortal Combat, Spyro, TIger Woods) can be tricky to play with the combination of movements and buttons; however, a conventional game remote can be instead of the wii remote making the game easier. To get the best use out of the Wii, I recommend purchasing a rechargable station for the remotes to save money and get a longer use between recharges. In addition to games, Wii has many other funtions as well. For example, internet connection and web browser, Wii store to download various games including original Nintendo games, Aviators (Miis) creation, contests, and sharing, interactive with other Wii consoles (via messages, playing games together), and voting on various polls.

This is a gaming console everyone in the family can gather around and play together.

Yes now days doctors are actually recommending games like WII for us older folks to keep active. And this is the best controller. Enjoy! Play two games tonight and if needed play a game against the doctor in the morning!!!

Well built and lots of fun. My son decided to trade it in for an X-box 360 and I actually miss playing the arcade games on it. I'm thinking of buying another one for myself :)

I WOULD NOT ADVISE ANYBODY TO BUY A WII FROM AMAZON.COM. I BOUGHT A WII FROM AMAZON AND WHEN I TRIED TO PUT IT ON IT WAS NOT WORKING I HAD TO WAIT ABOUT 15 MINS. FOR IT TO GO ON AND THEN WHEN IT FINALY CAME ON THE REMOTE WAS NOT WORKING,I TRIED EVERY THING AND STILL IT'S NOT WORKING,I HAD TO LOCK IT OF AND PUT IT BACK ON AND IT WORKED FOR ABOUT 20 SECONDS.I HOPE THEY WILL GIVE ME BACK MY MONEY.

This is a great game, it has tracks from all the previous mario karts including the N64 version. Its a classical racing game with the orginal modes for battling it out and time trail. It's a good game just to have plain old fashioned fun. Something the whole family can enjoy. Its not hard or difficult to play at all..

My husband and I love bowling the most. It is so much fun! However, all the other games we have tried are also entertaining. I would recommend this for all ages.

Price of the games are way to expensive. (not much to do with the actual console)

I love playing the sports game that came with the console. I'm not much of a outdoors person. So being able to play tennis, baseball, bowling, golf and boxing was great. I loved being able to pretend like I was really playing with another person. The tennis and boxing really make you move and you get a little exercise on the way. It's fun and healthy. Even my 3 year old can play. She loves the boxing. I would recommend this produce to anyone and any age. Wii has so many games and exercise programs. I am looking forward to building to my wii and purchasing all the "extras" that come along with the console.

This system is great. Now as compared to the white system in performance they are identical. The only things on this system that have changed are cosmetic and they look great. One thing I wish was different was that the base vertical stand would also be black, instead it is similar to the white wii's base station being a metallic color. I like the look of it because my tv is black, also my stereo and almost all of my other systems and accessories are black as well. All in all this is a great system and if you are trying to choose between the two colors look at what you have now and what will match. Both systems are identical in performance so go for whichever you like.

Well-constructed cable for a fraction of the cost of an OEM cable (I got mine for about $4 shipped). Effective length of the cable is about six feet. Picture quality is a bit better than with the replaced composite cable. Why *not* try it at this price?

If you have an HD TV, get these cables. It cleans up the color quality and you'll be playing games in 480p. Without this cable, games tend to look dark on HD TVs. This cable brightens things up a bit. Don't expect XBOX 360 video quality because the Wii does not support HD. Wii games are not formatted to run on HD. Another thing. At first, I had a bit of a hard time inserting the cable in the Wii. It was a tight fit, so be careful not to damage your Wii's cable input. As you insert the cable, gently wiggle your way in. Do the same when removing the cable. Usually goes in or out easily if you do that.

The nintendo wii is the most unique console ever made. It has the best price on all the consoles even though the graphic capabilities are not as good as the other two consoles because the wii operates on 480p graphics while the PS3 and 360 operate on or around 1080p. But don't be fulled by graphic capabilities if the games are not fun there is no point in having all those graphics.
This is where the Wii takes the cake it makes even some boring games loads of fun like baseball. I will devote sections of this review to each major part of the Wii.

The first part is the system itself. Like i said before it isn't the most powerful system but it still sports very good graphics.
Three of the best graphics games are Legend of Zelda, Mario, and Metroid. One of the coolest features is the self loading disc slot.
This cuts down on scratching, alot! It can also self load gamecube games. This system is fully backward compatible with all gamecube games
there is no software to download or anything like that. You just load it in and you are ready to play. On the back of the system there are
five ports three near the bottom two near the top. The three on the bottom are for the sensor bar, the cord that goes to the plug and the cord that goes into the DVD player. The two near the top are USB ports for things like keyboards when your surfing the web or using Wiiconnect24. This system is also very quiet you don't even hear it running. When first powering up the system you will go through the same process on the DS. They will ask you for your birthday what time it is ask you to set parental settings etc. After that each time you turn it on you will go through a be sure to read the health and safety manual before playing video games warning. Also there is a 512MB flash memory inside the system you can also copy memory to a SD card slot on the front of the system provided you have a SD card. On top there are slots for four gamecube controllers and two gamecube memory cards. These slots have coverings that can flip down and up. Another feature is you have the choice to lay the console on its side or stand it up with the included stand.

Part two is about the channels. When you first start the system you will have six channels the weather channel, the news channel, the Wii shop channel, the Mii channel, the picture channel and most importantly the game channel. In the lower right hand corner of the
channel menu you can acces Wiiconnect24. In the lower left hand corner you can access the settings and memory.
To access a channel you just pooint at it with your Wiimote select it then push start.
The game channel is where you start any gamecube or Wii game except wii fit wich will make its own channel.
The Mii channel is where you make and edit Mii's. Mii's are used for games like Wii sports and Wii play and Wii fit.
Weather channel, shop channel, and news channel all require internet connection by either a wireless router, the nintendo wi-fi hub that plugs into your computers USB port, or the Wii LAN cable.
Now the shop channel is for buying other channels (i.e. vote channel) or old games from the NES, SNES, sega genisis Neo Geo, Nintendo 64, and Turbografxs 16. Wiiconnect24 is where you can send and recieve messages from other Wii owners that are on your friend list. Your friend code will be generated as soon as connect to the internet using Wiiconnect24.

Part three its about what you get in the package. What comes with the Wii besides the Wii is a stand, the sensor bar, the plug that goes to your wall, and the plug that goes into your DVD player. It also comes with
the quick setup manual, the owners manual, and the channel manual. A Wiimote, nunchuk, and the game Wii sports are also included. Wii sports is a game that has golf, bowling, tennis, baseball, and boxing. Really all it is is to get you used to how you are going to be using the Wiimote and what you can do with the Wiimote.

Part four is about the games. In my opinian nintendo has some of the best games on a console it has a wide range of titles and ratings.
It also has very good sequals to their classic titles like super mario sunshine and metroid prime 3. Although they have not released sequals to all their classic games they are sure to some time in the future life of the system. This system has games for every person in your family from hardcore to never even played a video game.

Part five is about internet service. This system unlike their prevous consoles has fully functional internet play. For the most part its free although their are some extras that you must pay for. To find a fully functional internet game all you have to do is look for a
blue circle in the upper left hand corner that has Wi-Fi in white letters. Their are also some games that use Wiiconnect24, but these games are not fully functioning internet games. Now i won't lie to you the

I am a sports and outdoor guy and thought Wii would be a good companion & pass time after I moved to a new city and had few weeks, before I returned to new job. The unit came in a nice compact packing. The unit itself is sleek, stylish, compact and portable. Took 10 minutes to set it up to my LCD monitor. I loaded the complimentary games CD that arrived with it. It has 5 games : Bowling, Golf, Boxing, Lawn Tennis, Baseball
The only reason I returned it is due to making my brain getting used to a VIRTUAL gaming console. The response times were nowhere realistic. The only game I kind of felt OK was Bowling. It was hard to adjust to other games.
Other Wii specific gripes:
1- No DVD or Music Playing capability
2- No HDMI
3- No Disk Storage
I cannot imagine what catches the fancy of so many million users of Virtual Gaming Consoles for Real Sports like Bowling, Golf, Soccer etc. There is no way they can ever emulate the real world conditions, feel, response times etc. Probably this unit (or any other gaming console) is good for other games that one cannot do in real life for [...] ex: sit in a room and shoot people in war, race in lamborghinis, sing along etc. Also, i think real fun of these gaming consoles is in groups or parties rather than sports that doesn't need a group of people like swimming, golf, bowling.
I got caught in the hype owning a Virtual Gaming Console but couldn't adjust my brain to use it for fun. I guess I am becoming a dinosaur and lagging behind in the evolution (if the theory is right..) in this fast changing world of Gaming, Social Networking sites etc. It is becoming a institution like marriage where the only way to engage with others is to become part of that system/institution; otherwise you are not welcome.

This cable works great. Plug it in, switch your TV to composite, switch your Wii to 480P, and you're ready to go.

I got the bundle with the motion control plus and WII Sports Resort. My son wanted a X-Box and was mad until we started playing. Now he and I are very happy. Have it about 2 months now and everything works as advertised. Even the off brand second remote works great. The remotes eat batteries so rechargeables are the way to go. Other than that, great system.

It's just OK for me, but the wife and kids love it. Lots of fun, exercise and entertainment. It's hooked up to the big screen and WiFi so they also watch movies and shows with NetFlix on it.

excellent, it is the first time i can play a video game with my entire family, from my 5 year old son until my 60 year old father, it provides a lot of fun for me and my people.

I must preface this by stating that my review of this product is based on very limited usage... Why even review it then? To let others know you likely won't even need it.I have had my Wii now for 2 months and have used the Nunchuk exactly twice (and that was only on the included Wii Sports game). I have since played mainly Mario Kart Wii, Super Mario Wii and Zelda and guess what? The nunchuk is not needed to play them and in my opinion it actually hinders the game play when you try to play with it. I was sucked into the marketing behind the Wii and bought an extra controller with motion plus and an extra nunchuk at the time of purchase, hind-sight 20/20 I really didn't need the nunhuck or motion plus as the regular controller will be what I will likely ONLY use.This review is in no way a reflection of the quality or performance of the Wii "Nunchuk" but should serve to let you know it would be wise to make sure you actually use the included Nunchuk before purchasing an additional one.

Bought this non OEM Wii nunchuck... used it for two months then quit working!! Price is cheap but that's what you got... Better with OEM next time...

i play with my 5 yrs old kid daily for 1 hour. its simply superb. before going to Sports complex i usually play at home with him and gets warmed up. Table tennis, Tennis , Golf , Basket ball etc etc ,,,, what else do u want.Thanks Nintendo and Amazon
