The Wii console has been a great investment for my children they love to play with it and with all the great games out in the stores it a great education and fun activity for childrens and adults as well. I would reccomed to purchase a controll charger that is not included in the bundle and would be of great use. This specific game Mario Kart is vey hard at fist to play with the Wii controlled and makes it boring and hard for little kid. But if you have or can buy a gamecube controlled it works perfectly with the Wii and its great for this specif game. But I am very Pleased with the Wii.

is okay its just not alot of moving around. you can play every game sitin down and i dont like that at all but my dad loves the game and play it more than i do.

I just got a couple of these when the price dropped to around 15. They were sold by 'direct distributor' and fulfilled by amazon. The packages included the nunchuck and a blue silicone skin.When I got them, I was concerned that they weren't genuine since I expected them to be manufactured by Nintendo. I inspected one and it looked identical to the one that came with the system (didn't compare the cord length), but I figure it is easy enough to copy the few details on the device. Since these are made by BD&A (I forget the exact name, something Deutch & Associates), I wondered if the Nintendo Genuine logo was a counterfeit. I called Nintendo at 9pm on a Sunday night, and amazingly someone answered! To my surprise, she was quite knowledgeable and helped me determine that the BD&A nunchucks have in fact been certified. She told me that they spend a lot of time testing these and warned against non-certified ones, especially those who steal power from the remote. Since I have had nothing but bad luck with 3rd party controllers in the past, that was preaching to the choir.Anyways, I thought I would share my findings here. If you get one with the blue skin and it is made by BD&A, it is in fact a nintendo certified controller. Happy gaming!

I bought this last Christmas for my wife, who I thought had hinted that she wanted one.
Well, it turns out that it was more for me than for her (although she loves bowling).
Set up is easy, and the unit is well designed. It fits in unobtrusively next to our large screen High Definition TV. The sound is also excellent with my high end, add-on TV sound system. I bought several accessories, including the Tiger Woods game (for my wife the golfer, albeit before his fall from grace. She refuses to play it for reasons of infidelity. Go figure!). I also bought the balance board and a couple of extra Wii controllers.
This is great fun, but I find that I don't use it very much. If I were younger (I'm 66.) and had a young family, or my grandchildren lived closer, I'd probably use it much more.
I also installed the free Netflix add-on (which requires a Netflix account to view movies via the Wii.) Although this works fine, be forewarned that the Wii is not HD. The picture quality is certainly good, but not High Definition. If you are interested in this use for the product, I'd stick with the HD Roku box. But then again, you're not buying the Wii to view movies: that's just an additional benefit.
I've read positive reviews of the Microsoft product that has recently come out. It appears to take the Wii to the next level and may be the next big computer game hit.
Wii Sports and Wii Fit (that comes with the balance board) are fun, challenging and loaded with a variety of experiences.

This game is really fun to play with multiple people. I bought this as a gift and was happy it came with a wheel, This game (with the wheel) was surprisingly much cheaper than the regular Mario Kart (without a wheel). Everyone loves to come over and play.

First I'll say I get a wonderful signal out of this thing, it made me smile powering up my Wii for the first time with my new tv. I have to unplug it to switch plugs with my old dvd player whenever I want to watch a movie. This hasn't degraded the performance of this cable at all after ~30 connections.
The only thing I don't really like is that the red inputs are easily confused. The colors are reversed to differentiate between video and audio, but when crawling behind the tv it's hard to really notice. It's a minor flaw though, not worth taking off a star.
Some people talk about interference when using these cables since they're unshielded. I don't think they even make a cable of this type which is shielded by my definition. These do fine. I see no interference even with tons of electronics around this thing. If you're having trouble with interference in general, may I suggest you might just be too neat! Cables that run parallel to each other might communicate like little antennae -- try making your wires a mess and see if that helps! :P

This console was a Christmas gift for my 2 grandsons and they have already enjoyed it greatly! I just had to buy an extra 2 controllers so the whole family could join in the fun.

This set of games was just perfect for our 4 and 5 year olds who are just getting used to working with the remote and playing games on the Wii. No jarring graphics or overly disturbing scenes. These are all plain simple games that everyone would enjoy. The graphics are not the best as one would expect from today's technology, but that's a minor issue. We are loving this game!

So we have waited forever before we got a Wii. Actually, my wife and kids want to play on the Wii and I went along. It just so happens that about the only game that seems interesting to me to play is boxing from Wii sports. In summary, it just plain sucks. There is only the vaguest association between what the controllers are doing and what happens on the screen. This is to the point where swinging exclusively the left hand sometimes causes the right hand to fire. Forget anything like speed with cross hands. The only repeated hits you can land seems to be either right or left jabs. The other games are just boring. Similar to what you get in web games for free.Anyway, the other problem we have is that with four controllers, you have to reset the controllers everytime the Wii is turned back on. So this starts by pressing all the buttons on every controller to find the one that the Wii will respond to. Its not the same one each time. So after mashing every button over and over on each controller, a controller is seemingly chosen by random. Once that is done, you then have to go to the home screen and start this process over again to get the other remotes linked back up. Don't forget, you have to do this again and again each time you turn on the Wii or start a new game. Yes, putting in a new disc and starting it, delinks the remotes and the random button mashing starts over again. I can not imagine why this was thought to be necessary. So, I am glad that I did not want to play it because I suspect that I will not. Life is just to short to waste on the Wii.

As described on the ad in good condition even the box it came in on but it is missing the manual.if you have not installed one of this before you will be in the dark.

I bought this because I thought that it was a good quality at a cheap price, and the wii itself only comes with one nunchuck that I was tired of fighting over. Needless to say I was not disappointed and the fighting has finally ended. :0

Best part of the Wii is that it brings our family all together of all ages.. Grandma and great aunt joints our kids to have fun. at least we all look like fool playing games with kids! what a valuable time spent! Nice!

I just got (and played) a wii for the first time the other day. I was really impressed with the system. I love that it came with two games included.The Wii Sports is actually really fun. I've played the Tennis for several hours without getting board. It's designed for a different type of play style so it can be hard to get use to the controllers at first.The graphics are not all that amazing, but it's okay because the wii sports games it came with are so fun, that you don't really notice the graphics. For example, some of the computer players don't even have legs.I don't think this system was designed to impress people looking for amazing graphics, it was geared more to people that like to be active while they play. If you are the type of person that likes sitting down when you play, most of the wii games probably wont be good for you. Most of the time you need to stand up in order to get the controllers to communicate with the system.BLACK SYSTEM: I got the black system and I really like it, however, one thing should be noted that it is a huge magnet for smearing and fingerprints. This thing was covered in fingerprints before I even got it out of the box. But I've heard that the white system gets covered and showed dirt very easy. So I guess it's up to you.

Purchased as a gift for my grandson. He loves the one I have, so thought he should have his own. It's basically for teaching the use of the Wii remote, but some of the games are so much fun. My grandson loves the tank game, and I love the cow racing one.

This is our 2nd Wii as we bought one last year but was stolen. We tried it out last night as this will be Xmas gift to the kids but wanted to make sure it worked. My husband, who is not the gamer at all, and I were having so much fun with this and we love the new controllers with the remote plus built in. They should have done that in the first place.Plus love the deals they keep having. Its a great product and its definitely fun for Everyone.

It's a Wii in an sweet color! Not much more to be said! I'm glad to have more than just red, white and black to choose from! They go for $140 at Walmart so there's next to nothing, if in fact no profit to be made. (referring to the other review)
