отличная модель
До этого был D-link DR-300, в принципе не было к нему претензий, но старый отдал и пришлось выбирать новый, остановился на этом понравился дизайн да и в инете пишут только положительные отзывы. Купил. Просто нет слов, D-link нервно курит в сторонке) Просто, недорого, красиво! Очень доволен!

Отличный маршрутизатор!!! Даже не думал, что так просто будет создать домашнюю сеть! Сам настроился, сам подключился, никаких сложностей и заморочек!

Отличная модель
- + Удобная админка, простота настройки.
Прошло 8 лет, а до сих пор исправно работает. Почти отличный сигнал на всей площади квартиры 70кв.м. - - С домашним инетом Билайн (L2TP) плохо дружит, если подключать ПК к роутеру по LAN (С DOM.RU, Таттелеком работал отлично).

I purchased this unit because of the much touted "Live Parental Controls" (abbreviated LPC). The router itself seems to work reasonably well, its a fairly generic product after all. It is a bit warmer than one would expect but I don't know if this will ultimately degrade performance.The word on LPC is that if that's why you are buying the router for that reason then don't waste your money. The LPC do not work as advertised. They work for a short time but simply stop working for no reason at all even when the management utility indicates that they are enabled. Your money is far better spent on an OpenDNS account ($10 per annum for the deluxe version). Netgear LPC use the OpenDNS filters and is supposed to simplify the setup - firstly it isn't that simple to set up (or at least no more difficult than OpenDNS itself) and secondly it doesn't work and you have to constantly disable and re-enable the service in order to get it to work.The Netgear tech support is the worst I have ever encountered on any product. The tech support emails are all automated and don't answer the questions that you pose. The phone line is even worse, the consultants speak halting English and are absolutely clueless. I've had about six sessions on the phone with the support team and it was like a comedy except that it wasn't very funny for me.

I am having issues with the Netgear router. It worked okay for a few weeks, but now the signal is not sufficient to run my printer. The tech support people at Netgear told me it is a very common problem and very easy to fix but wanted to charge $39.99 in additional fees to change the computer settings and make the printer work.Initially, I spent many hours (over 4 days) on the phone with their tech support people who can't speak English legibly, very difficult to understand, just to get the router up and running at the start. I had to return it twice before I got one that would work at all and now after a few weeks, problems again. It is very poor business practice to charge a fee for the technical support required to get this product to work. I had no luck with Manager/Supervisor either. They were very sorry they could not help me without charging me an extra fee.I plan to return it and get some other modem router. I do not recommend this one at all.

I have AT&T and when I called them to verify my DSL Username and Password, all they have for my username was "asterisks" showing up on their computer?! The agent told me that because my account with them was 'too old'?! Anyway, password reset ensued. After I got the info I called Netgear [24/7] just to be sure he/she talks me through the process. It was pretty easy once I got the username/password info. Kudos to Netgear. The day after, I called again for assistance on setting up my USB drive attached to the modem/router.The signal is pretty good. No complaints. It seems just a weebit slower than wired, but no biggie. I'm new to wifi, so every now and then I would look at the device to see whether all the lights on or not. One reason we got later on I plan to get a wifi tablet, so this definitely helps. I also tried my phone on wifi, it's much faster than my phone network provider. Anyway, so far, the device seems dependable. Like my title says, I definitely would recommend it. Nice packaging, too, but documentation is sparse. Also, I searched the all over the internet to see what those symbols are for in front of the modem/router, no avail. Now I know they're for ASDL, Internet, etc., but which is what, I still not quite sure.

I purchased this item as a refurb. I do it breaks often in my connection, however I am not sure if that is due to this unit, or my isp. I have AT&T, and did not want to rent or buy one of their units. So I opted for this. Only paid $29.99 from Amazon, w/free shipping. It does the trick. Even when it cuts out, it immediately reconnects. No major issues for me, as I primarily use my internet for Netflix, gaming, and web surfing. At $29.99, to have both the modem and wireless router all in one, I couldn't pass up

I paid for Overnight shipping to get it. Very disappointed. It is my first time getting defective item from Amazon and return a item.Frist of all, it is not "New" as the Condition mentioned at the web site. It did not come with CD for Installation & Configuration, but a piece of paper to tell you download it from Netgear. If this is your first modem to setup your network, I am sorry. You have to ask someone to download the software for you.I have set up 2 similar Netgear routers before. They all were up and running within an hour. So, I know how to do the setup. But I spent almost 3 hours on the setup process and could not make it work. It kept asking me to check the cable connections, and could not detect the DSL line. (My DSL line works fine for sure.)Chance to get defective unit is very high. Not worth to try even the price seems good.

I was sold this unit a local retailer as my ATT gateway broke. Had to call the help line to get the thing set up. Helpline very helpful and I was up and running in ... days. Apparently, you have to reset every wireless device you have in the house even though you keep your same wireless codes. But the unit worked absolutely great for a few weeks. Then we noticed it getting hot. To hot to hold in your hand. Once that happens, the network performance drops like a rock. I ran network tests and it showed the network access dropping from 5.0Mb to 0.5Mb. The only way to fix it temporarily is to unplug it and let it cool. After an hour, the problem is back. I checked the forums and the problems I experienced are very similar to the DGN2000 posted on Netgears forums.While it is great when it works, I can not recommend this product.

I needed a modem for my computers quickly. I originally started many years ago with SBC provider which is now renamed AT&T. Originally they provided a modem with service now do not. Equipment is on me, so I replaced it about 4 years ago with a Netgear wireless router modem; which worked well concidering the torture my son and his freind applied to it while having LAN parties. Finally the wireless mode fizzled out so I needed to replace it. I found this model (wireless N300) at Staples down the street and it works faster and better than the one before. I needed fast and wanting a fast return if it was not going to work well (no time for shipping back and forth). Made of lighter materials for its' outer casing(Negitive), it works great. The set up software made install easy though it requied call AT&T for forgotten access login and password. Paid the same price as stated here so I feel better for only paying sale tax as the difference in cost. The signal strenth was by far stronger than it's predecessor. My only concern is the amount of torture it will take before failing, but feel somewhat confident it will last awhile.

After doing a lot of study about available options, I decided on the DGN2200 DSL modem. In short, this product is everything it promises to be.I experienced no problems whatsoever from the moment I took the unit out of the box. Setup was easy and the product worked flawlessly from the start. The speed and coverage is impressive and it is a noticeable jump in performance compared to my previous router with 802.11g wireless. The 802.11n is a huge jump in performance and coverage and my wife "can't believe" how fast our DSL service is.I did have to call Netgear once to ask how to set up a DSL modem with an ISP who didn't use PPPoe login and password; they were extremely helpful and the wait time on hold was less than 30 seconds. All in all, setup was a snap.I also set up a USB network drive for backups and the ability to connect a shared drive on the network is a big plus.If you're looking for a nice bump in performance, especially as it relates to wireless connections, this wireless modem is a great choice.

Netgear had to know about the overheating problem when they put this thing on the market. Stay away! Warranty doesn't matter because Netgear customer service will not return your emails.

Took 3 hours but wew i did it. Used setup disk and no internet. called netgear went through manually and no internet. called at&t checked line, it came back good reset password and no internet. I changed PPPoE to PPPoA and we have internet. make sure to open NAT if you have game systems like ps3 or 360 so you can play online. With at&t they kept saying PPPoE and so did netgear but screw'em it worked for me. the router is good so far worth 100 bucks. Its seems better than the dlink dir-655. think about buying a descent modem and router individually how much that will cost you. plus going through one thing instead of 2 has gotta be better. heck with dsl every little bit helps as far as speed goes. Oh and AT&T equipment sux and customer service are idiots. Have a nice day.

First, the product is not well-described in the title. This is the DGN2200, an updated model to the DGN2000. I can only comment on its wireless g capability, as my wireless n card does apparently not support encryption.Setting it up to a wired connection works pretty easily with the set up CD. You need to know your PPPoE login and password, which you should get from your internet service provider before beginning setup.Wireless is another story. Computer would not detect the network. I had to resort to a long call with customer support to set it up manually. Even then we had to go to numerous tries with different encryption systems to get it to work. Apparently, with my current computer we need to use WEP encryption, which makes it a g network.The thing is pretty warm, and the connection does not time out after idle (although such a choice to time out is decribed and shown, the actual choice is not available). It has an on-off button (unlike my old modem), and given the heat, I am going to turn it off at night-- hopefully that will make it last longer.

Works well for my apartment. Set it up with my AT&T account. Only took me a few moments to set it up though.
