Perfect for Unraid Server
I bought this for Unraid and was not disappointing
Wanted a board to pair with a AMD Threadripper 3960x to get merge my main machine with two servers that I run.
I have go to say I was not disappointed, I have loaded it with a P2000 for plex, Nvidia 2070 Super for my gaming machine, Nvidia 1060 for another VM and a PCIe HBA card to attach all my drives.
Took a while to figure out the break up of USB ports to be able to pass through the controllers to various machines, please see photo in case anyone needs it.
Red: 23:00.3 USB Controller
Blue: 04:00.3 USB Controller
Green: 48:00.1 USB Controller
Yellow 45:00.0 USB Controller
Other than working out the USB assignments I have had no issue with the board, although it does take a longer time to post than any board I've used in the past so be patient :)
You can even passthrough the Wifi and Bluetooth card.
Not using the PCIe Gen 4.0 yet but nice to have for future use.
Would recommend to anyone who needs a powerhouse to run an Unraid server, not much this board doesnt do.

Великолепно
Premium motherboard with loads of connectivity/storage to keep you content for a long while.
After going through reviews and hunting for motherboards, I found this board to be the most feature packed and future proof sTRX4 motherboard for what I was looking for. I don't have any legacy storage connected and currently use 2 of the 4 onboard slots. The extra PCIe 4.x NVMe RAID card will take some time to populate! The BIOS is great packed with many features but I think that is standard for a premium board. I currently have the AMD Ryzen Threadripper 3960X 24-Core Processor along with 128GB of G.Skill 3600 memory and there is still room to upgrade it even more so in 2-3 years I can still get a 3990X and an additional 128GB if I ever need to. Board layout is great and it has loads of connectivity. Adding a GIGABYTE titan RIDGE might be something I'll be looking at if I ever need Thunderbolt support.
The board has definitely delivered in terms of connectivity options (USB ports ,SATA, NVMe storage, slots, etc) and think I'll be happy using this board for the next 3-5 years with no issues (if not even longer as a server / lab system after that!). There are also plenty connectors for fans and each is rated at 1A so should be more than sufficient. They really went overkill on the power delivery on this board!
Just a note, the extra RAID card uses the 2nd PCIe x16 slot so you can only have one additional GPU on x16. I think you can use it in a PCIe x8 slot and use only 2 drives in it.

Horrifically slow pre-post time from this latest and greatest tech!
You'd think, with manufacturers hammering us with marketing on how fast and great our pc tech is, they'd sort the shockingly slow pre-post on our motherboards!
Also, despite me setting the pcie version to gen 4 in the bios (why should I even have to do this?), the bios is still showing as running 3.0! What?

Well made
Well made offers a lot for the price. Be advised to take care for static. I use antistatic mat gloves and earthing strap.
Used 3960X threadripper. All went together flawlessly and powered up windows 10 a treat. Performs well

Failure to start
2 motherboard and none work, no rgb lights, code b0, bios setup failure, atx 24 pin and cpu 8bpin and usb 3.2 cable placement is a failure !!
Worst motherboard ever!

Simple, Robust, Comprehensive inputs and outputs
What I found the most useful:
- 3 x M.2 PCIe4 slots
- 5 PCIe lanes
- plenty of USB inputs!
- 5Gb Ethernet
- plenty of custom sensors (2 additional temperatures and 1 noise)
And overall build quality will hopefully means this one will last!

Less about the board , more about Amazon Warehouse quality control
This is my 3rd board from Amazon Warehouse , each time they have either been DOA and or major components missing. I am not sure that there is any quality control checks when returns are made thus people sending back faulty boards as not wanted or taking items from the box and then Amazon not checking the contents. Either way this is my last attempt of buying a board from Amazon.

Das Board zählt mit zu den günstigeren TRX40 Boards, man hat eigentlich alles auf dem Board was so braucht und die Stabilität ist auch gut. Es gibt einige Dinge die man besser lösen könnte, das betrifft meist kleinere Sachen wie die Positionierung der Temperaturfühleranschlüsse, gerade EC_TMP1 liegt doch eher ungünstig positioniert. Da muss jeder sehen wie man damit klar kommt. Der Rest vom Board ist ziemlich unauffällig und gut verbaut. Ausnahme ist hierbei allerdings die Southbridge, die liegt so ungünstig das man Probleme hat die gegen einen Kühlblock von einer WaKü auszutauschen, leider dreht der Lüfter in der Standarteinstellung auch ständig. Zum Glück hört man den nicht so.
Jetzt kommt das ganz große ABER...
...unter der Abdeckung der Anschlüsse verbirgt sich ein 40mm Lüfter mit 10mm Stärke. Das Jaulen von dem Teil treibt auch dem friedlichsten Menschen in Mordgedanken. In der "System Informations Viewer"-Anwendung (SIV Version B19.0926.1) kann man diesen Lüfter leider NICHT einstellen! Das geht nur über das BIOS, oder aber über die Version des SIV von den X399 TR4-Boards! Dort taucht dann der Punkt MOS auf und dort kann man den kleinen Lüfter einstellen, ideal einfach bis 40 Grad einfach auf Null stellen und man hat Ruhe. Alternativ den Lüfter noch vorm Einbau gegen einen Noctua tauschen.
