This is the first webcam I've ever purchased and I think it is pretty good. I'm sure there are better quality webcams out there but I was looking for an inexpensive one. It was easy to set up and use. I've been told by my friends and family that the picture on their end is better than others that they have seen.

This webcam may work for both Mac and PC, but I would not recommend it for use with a Mac.Logitech does not seem to support any advanced features for this cam. There are no software downloads for Mac that are available for PC. I am using this cam for looking outside to post to an internet site, and the quality just isn't there. I know that it does not have a high resolution, but that was not required for looking outside.I bought this and a Logitech mouse at the same time and the mouse is having the same issues. This will be the last time I buy Logitech for my Macintosh computers.

Works well with Windows 7 x64 and the quality of the image is beautiful. Awesome with Skype. Built in microphone is good quality.

This camera was a very contraversial one. I bought 2 cameras (one for me and the other for my boyfriend) and my camera and mic worked perfectly fine....but my boyfriend's didn't. His camera had a terriable quality (I could barely see his face it was so blurry!) and his mic didn't work at all. I suggest you save your money and buy a better webcam.

wish the cable was a bit longer but it's pretty good for the current price if your not looking for super HD quality pictures it will more than do the job.

Had to return product sight unseen because after further research, I find that this doesn't work for a Mac G4 desktop! Still can't find one inexpensively. Won't be able to skype now. Might have to just buy new computer. Anyone else have suggestions?

Good basic camera/software for Skype. Easy to install and get online. Got it for my Grand kids older XP Desktop computer but they were a little disappointed. They want more bling on the software side (like avatars). They are comparing it to my new Laptop camera software which they love.

This little cam fits in a handy case that they provide you and it's so easy to pack up and go! Installation was a breeze and if you're connected to the internet it will look for the latest software, how considerate! The pic quality is not amazingly great, but for 50 bucks it's perfectly fine. The unit gets a little hot after about 15 min. of skype time but no visible effects to the vid quality. I would buy it again!Good luck to you in your search!

I also received the Logitech webcam through the Vine program. I wasn't quite sure what I was going to be using it for at the time, as I never used a webcam. When it came in the mail my son who lives at home was ecstatic. You see, I have a son in the military and over in Japan. My son who lives at home said "Now you can see him instead of just chatting with him when you talk over the internet". Ok, I admit being in my 50's that I am computer illiterate. But my son, in a matter of minutes, had loaded the CD rom and everything set up to go. The first time we used it I was amazed with the quality of the sound and the video. I felt as if the two of us were in the same room, never mind half way around the world from each other. I also found it very easy to use and was surprised to learn that I didn't have to sit immediately in front of the camera to make it work (I actually walked around the room while chatting with him). I also liked the way the Logitech folds up when I am done so it is out of the way until needed. I would highly recommend the Logitech C600 for newbies to this type of technology and realize the valuable uses you can put this camera to. I am thrilled that I am able now to have weekly calls over seas and chat with my son and his wife and see them at the same time. For the money, you can't go wrong with the Logitech Webcam C600.

The C200 is inexpensive and is easy to install. However, those who have experienced the higher end Logitech webcams will be disappointed with the lack of automatic focus and the resulting marginal picture. Its hard to find the sweet spot to get an image that appears to be in focus.

This camera works great for my purposes, which is to skype my family in Europe. I don't normally read all of the technical specs to compare items. I just verify that it works with Windows 7,read the reviews and try to figure out which product I can spend the least money on and get my desired results. So, I decided that I ought to write one for this product. It was simple to install and worked immediately.I don't know if other cameras have this feature, but it's has a "shade" so that the camera is not filming you unless you raise the shade.I didn't load the VID software as my family are already on Skype. It works seamlessly with Skype.Good Luck

Nice product, simple setup... ... cheap drivers though.In first instance it looks all right:You install the camera very fast.You are able to use it with skype without problems.You are totally happy!But though, if you have low light conditions, the automatic sensibility/exposure settings don't work. With low-light you get flickering vertical white-lines (probably CCD or video-amp gets saturated due to wrong control/feedback loop).To overcome this "mess" you MUST turn off exposure-control auto-mode (under right-light configuration), and keep setting it manually. Bah!Since 2009/10 I am waiting for the new logitech-driver, that should solve the problem...I still hope it will come out.

Just insert the disc that comes with the C600, and follow the on-screen prompts. It's the most simple, easy to use webcam I've used till date. It clips on to the laptop screen and stays in place. Picture quality is decent. Great value for money. I have no complaints so far.

The quality of the video for this unit is very good. When I skyped with friends/family, they commented how good the quality of the video on their end. The unit worked very well with the Mac 10.6.2. Mac's Photobooth worked fine with this unit, my kids have fun playing with the unit using Photobooth.

There was a rebate that came with it, but i lost my upc code so.. too bad. very very easy to use and fun effects are...fun. extra effects online that you can download. I have all of them. Great buy.

I've had the camera for about a month now and haven't had any problems. I'm very happy with the purchase. It was very easy to install. I plugged it into my usb port and it did everything from there. I use it for Skype and that's it, so I haven't used any of the other features. Just video.

After a week of happy use it freezes video after a few frames; if any is captured at all. I repaired, uninstalled/reinstalled, checked device manager, updated my online chat progs, and nothing. As a very odd, but interesting thing, occasionally when I start the camera bits of my network soft/hardware exit with errors... That is really confusing me. Any suggestions would be well received, but the next step is to test the warranty. I do like their troubleshooting with its references to hardware and software error differentiation, and device manager checking. It reminds me very lightly and vaguely of the manuals for old hardware, where wiring schematics and complete rebuilt directions were included.... sigh.. so much is dumbed down, or guarded now.

I use Skype to talk to relatives overseas, so webcams come in very handy. I've owned many Logitech models over the years, and as always, am thrilled with the performance of the C600 as well.Installation is as easy as it comes - once the CD is installed you go through some easy set up screens, and that's pretty much it. There's troubleshooting available, but with the numerous models I've had prior to this one, I've never had to troubleshoot once. Basically, anyone who has any rudimentary computer skills can set up this webcam.The webcam works on both laptops and desktop monitors, and offers different mounting angles. My two favorite features were the RightLight2 technology and the built-in microphone. When I was talking to a relative on Skype, they kept commenting on how clearly they could see me; with their cameras they appeared as if they were sitting in the dark. Also, the built-in mike is amazing - I had no issues even sitting at quite a distance from the webcam. With a few other brand webcams I've encountered before I would have to twist the webcam this and that way to get a decent sound quality, or get a separate microphone. The C600 has no such issues. Highly recommended.
