Unless you are trying to film a movie or something i dont know why you wouldn't like this webcam. its a great product. I use it on my laptop because m current laptop embedded webcam is 480p if not 360p

Logitech did it again with a great webcam. I swear by Logitech products because they never disappoint. Video quality is superb. The speakers and mic are more than adequate. The only downside is that, for my CPU, which I have on the floor, the USB cable is way too short. I had to buy and extension. But this is a minor inconvenience compared to the quality of this cam.

The video quality is excellent and works well for Skype and Google Hangouts. Unfortunately, the noise-cancellation in the microphone doesn't work well; almost everyone I talk to asks me to take them off "speakerphone". I was hoping I could use this for VoIP calls as well as videoconferencing, but I've gone back to using my headset for audio.

I don't have any problem with the Non-Retail/Bulk Packaging.However, the 2 webcams I got have multiple scratches and no visible S/N (blacked out with marker).I'm quite sure Logitech will not provide any warranty without a S/N.

Simply AWESOME on our Panasonic Viera TC-L42D30! Soooo much better and easier than Skyping from our laptops, now the whole family can make calls together from the living room.. TV detects and configures camera automagically when plugged into a USB port. You must be using a 2011 Panasonic tv, as far as i know plugging it into a Panasonic DVD box won't do you any good, so chalk up some of the neg reviews for this product to user error. Provides a much wider field of vision (ie living room view) and an outstandingly clear image. We have a 2 year old and can lounge around on saturday mornings in front of the tv and Skype grandma & grandpas, cousins, etc. And the 2 year old can't muck with the laptop or keyboard as she was doing previously, often hanging up the calls in the process. Everyone is really happy with the new setup, especially those at the other end who can see us so much better now. We own a Logitech C910 also which works great attached to a desktop computer but this camera is way better. The Viera web app we use the most is Amazon Instant Video, YouTube has been great also, but the Skyoe app has now quickly become one of our new favorites. Yes it's pricey but i consider this purchase worth every penny. If you own a 2011 Panasonic tv, buy this camera. If you're looking to buy a new tv, i'd suggest considering a Panasonic as Skype & the Logitech webcam adds a whole new way to use your tv that other brands can not match yet. Hopefully Logitech will work to make the camera hardware compatible with other tv brands.

I'm not an expert in this area. But my Son is and he (and I) was very disappointed in the first cam I got. Okay it was only 14.95 but had decent reviews. I'm on a fixed income and have to watch my spending.I tossed in the trash, literally. It was that bad.This one is a GEM! The quality looks like it's way more expensive and it comes with software to have fun with. My son can see me clearly when we Skype and also thinks it's perfect for me.It took me a while to find it on Amazon, it was near the end. But it practically jumped off the page to me and I'm glad it did.

Logitech makes great products and surely this webcam is no exception. I could not believe all the features it has, especially for the price! Zoom - left - right - up and down adjustments are great. And, the sound quality is crisp, clear and loud with zero distortion. I will buy several more as Christmas presents.

First, I want to address the price, since I'm sure you have noticed this product is more expensive than a typical computer webcam. The reason is that most smart TV's don't have the same CPU power as your laptop/computer, so the TV has to rely on the webcam to perform the video/audio compression. Adding this to the webcam costs money, but if you are connecting it to a computer, you are paying for something you won't ever use.So, if you have one of the TV's on the compatibility list, you have 3 choices: The original Panasonic camera, a low cos knock off, and this one. Having read poor reviews of the first two options, i opted to get this model as a gift for my brother to connect to his new Panasonic GT30. When he opened it, we decided to try it out on my own new VT30 to make Xmas calls. W easily downloaded the Skype app, registered the TV to our account, and recieved our first call. The camera easily picked up voices 15 feet away, and the 720p video stream was perfectly clear.We've sinced tried it on The GT30 and the process was just as easy. Highly recommended for those on the compatibility list. If you intend to connect to something NOT on the list, be prepared to return it; you gadget is not a general purpose computer that can download drivers on th fly; there is a good chance it won't work.

Great image, for a cheap webcam. The video quality is better than I need. It was easy to set up (plug and play with windows 7, no drivers needed). The mounting system is kind of crappy.. would be nice if there was a way to mount it more sturdily. For $20, I can't really complain.
