Very nice monitor for the price

Took me maybe 15 min. to assemble the stand and another 15 to install correct drivers,switch to FreeSync and bump up my refresh rate to 75Hz.Monitor's color's are vibrant and the wide screen is a pleasure to look at coming from a 32' LED TV I used for gaming from 2014.
Now it's gonna be a fun night playing Devil May Cry lol.
I'd recommend this monitor to anybody who doesn't have a lot of cash but wants a quality product that will do the job.

Awesome Display

Really surprised with the performance of this affordable version of the 21:9 concept from LG, color accuracy and bright are hard to equal when compared to other offers in the market.

The increase in productivity is significant, both in office related applications as well as in media and contain creation.

When movies are available in the 21:9 format (like some in the Amazon Prime Video collection) the viewing experience is immersive and delightful, this same applies to games.

It is my hope that developers embrace a higher commitment with 21:9 display format soon, specially those working in the interactive entertainment industry.

Looks good but only had it for a week

Good quality/price, and the ratio is really great to work
Also, the sound is surprisingly good
Black uniformity is not it's greatest asset though, but for the price, that's worth it (had it for 400$ at the time)

I like only having 1

Makes using a single monitor possible again. I use 3 monitors at work, but at home, I like only having 1. This is wide enough to put tools on one side and still view my work. It also does well with two programs on the screen at once, side by side. Text is not as sharp as I would have liked. I might upgrade to a better ultrawide later and move this one to my gaming rig.

I bought this to use as an extended display from my laptop. No gaming. I bought it specifically so I could put two webpages side by side. Works great and the price was right.

Minor issues, otherwise great!

I bought two of these and they are great. Very nice big monitors and a big upgrade from my previous setup. The only problem is that there is a dead pixel on one of them, and the stand allows you to adjust the monitor up and down. One of the stands allows 100% adjustment, while the other one has about 80% adjustment, it just won't go all the way down.

This is my second. That says it all.

I love this monitor more than my life. Would I like it a little bigger? Sure. Curved? Kinda. Would I love I higher refresh rate? You bet. But for the money, you can NOT beat this thing. With this resolution, onscreen real estate AND Freesync? You can't buy a better monitor for the price. I don't think you can get a better one for even $400 or $500.

This is great for professional graphics

This is one great monitor. I use it for Photoshop and 3D and it is exceptional. Very sharp and colors are excellent.I have it calibrated to my 2 Epson wide format printers that you can see in the background of the photo and results are dead on between screen and print. I do not know why some are complaining about the stand. It seems quite stable to me. It's a wide monitor what do you expect? My only negative was I had to buy a cable to hook it to my Mac Pro but no big deal. The size is not to be believed

Perfect monitor no tearing in gaming.

I have been using for a few weeks now and and it had a beautiful picture and there have been no issues. The split screen software works flawless. The only issue i had was the cd would now read in any of my computers so i just downloaded the software. Its basically 2 24inch monitors built into 1. I would recommend to anyone thinking about a 21:9 monitor, for me its the perfect size the 29inch would have been on the little small side. There is no tearing in game. I am running it with the Asus ROG RX480.

This monitor is dope

From CoD, to Overwatch to WoW, to simple applications like Visio & Powerpoint...and then for you engineers and tech nerds - MobaX, Putty and even native Windows CLI look clear and not hard on the eyes. I dig this monitor and would buy another if the price were right.

Ubuntu Konsole/Terminal look as good as green on black can be. =)

Great monitor

Monitor has been great, very sharp, used for office documents as well as internet browsing - haven't tried gaming on it
I did try 2 inputs at same time on screen - Desktop PC and Laptop PC, took a little effort, but I got it to work, that said, it wasn't really useful for me. So I am back to switching back and forth between input 1 and input 2

I am a photo editor and I love this monitor! The color gamut is amazing and the monitor doesn’t curve which I love because it doesn’t distort the image.

Better for watching movies than doing detailed work.

The screen is mostly well-designed and has a hefty weight to it. It can be hard to tilt the screen precisely. The screen is not ultra high resolution, so is less adequate for super detailed editing.

Great while it lasted

I bought this in Dec 2017 and worked great. I didnt use it for gaming and frankly just needed an extra wide for everyday work dual screen etc. I would have to say overall I rarely used this monitor. Finally in March 2020, this just stopped working. Will not power on. There is a faint power glow on the bottom of the screen but no life beyond that. Reading up some online forums, it seems I'm not the only one and if it were under warranty, then it usually means replacing some main board related issue. Either way it is dead to me now, no pun intended.

Overall while it was working, it was satisfactory though when I connected my Roku to it, I could never get it to show 16:9. Didnt spend too much time on this and probably user error.

Just what I wanted

I am replacing a two monitor situation and this monitor is perfect. I mainly need the space to have multiple applications open at one time. The OnScreen control software from LG is perfect for what I wanted. I do not do gaming so can not say how well that would work.

A bit of bleed.. but still awesome!

My first 21:9 monitor.
It's pretty sweet.
21:9 definitely changes the way games feel.
There is yellow bleed in the bottom left corner of the monitor I got. Kind of sucks.
Not a big deal. But it is there if you look at a black or dark screen/scene.
Also, Native 75Hz is freesync only. Otherwise it seems to be 60Hz. Might be able to force 75Hz but I am not sure.

Worked fine until...

Great monitor until it wasn't...Prior to working from home due to SARS CoV-2, I use this a handful of times and loved it. Using it to work from home, unfortunately, the Dell laptop my work gave me wouldn't allow me to use the resolution the monitor allows, but it was working. I decided to move the monitor from my small desk to a large table I bought to work from home...unplugged it, moved it less than 10 feet and then plugged it back in. No drop, not bumping into anything, just a quick and easy move. The LED indicating power was on, but never again would the monitor show anything on the screen...not built in commands nor anything from my laptop. LG tech support could only tell me to unplug it, press and hold the power button (joystick button) for at least 10 seconds and then plug it back in as a hard reset. That did not work. Reading online, I saw this same problem several times in different forums. Not sure I want to buy any other LG products if just unplugging and moving (following the instructions) will cause it to die. Big design flaw. I wish I had researched better before I bought.

So far LOVING this new monitor

I do a lot of engineering and design work, and this monitor works great for that. I can't so much on gaming as that is not really a hobby of mine, but I am sure it would be great for that too. I use it as a split screen most of the time when needing to work in different apps at once. Love it!
