Needs to be a little louder for the hard of hearing like myself. An extra volume boost control would make this headset exceptional. As is,it's just okay.

I thought I needed this headset for Dragon Diction. Low and behold, Dragon Diction came with its own headset. I've used this and it seems to be fine. I just wish I'd have known that I didn't need to buy this one.

The headphones pick up sound great but can pick up some background noise as well. As long as you dont have a dog barking in the background like I did, you should like these too.

I love the headset. Clear as any headphones I have used. The microphone works well and easily picks up conversation without all the ambient noise associated with some headsets.

I tryed to use these headsets with my dragon and learned that my dragon program had headsets with them that works perfectly. so, not what do I do when I open these headsets to use them when I don't need them?

These are better than the previous one by a wide margin.The old ones allowed ambient noise to confuse the Dragon program, these CS100 almost completely stop that annoyance.

Absolute junk, mic stopped working 5 days after I started using the headset. Koss normally makes good stuff but they missed the mark on this one

I bought this to use with Dragon Speak Naturally because so much of what I read about the one that comes with the software said to buy something better. But I have been utterly unable to get it to work AT ALL with Dragon Speak. Tried everything and I work in an I.S. department! It's possible it's just defective. Felt comfortable buying it because of the Koss name, but it's useless to me, will have to return it.

These are the best voice-recognition headphones that I habve ever used. The mouth piece is flexible, and so you can position it to really pick up your voice.

Works well with Dragon Speak 12, comfortable to wear, microphone is in good location, unfortunatly the mic cannot be moved to the left side, but other than that it works great!

After a found out that I had a speech recognition software in my computer that I have had since October 2011. Im dictating this review on these headphones. They are comfortable and lightweight and comfortable to wear. I do not do this for 8 hours a day, so much time is learning the speech recognition commands. I never learned how to type and these are sensitive, so you have to be careful in how you say something. I have not tried to listen to any music but when I do I will update this review. Now I will be able to better review by purchases from Amazon.

Bought this for use with Dragon (voice recognition program) and found it works quite well for the purpose of speaking. Have no complaints as the sound was adequate for what it was needed for.

Arrived very promptly and in good condition..headphones are very very good quality for money, Background Noise cancellation is excellent, very comfortable, would definitely recommend.My only comment would be, I wish the microphone could go lower rather than sitting right in front of the mouth.. however this is mere nitpicking... I doubt you could get a better headset for twice this money

I admit I was skeptical but the headset that came with Dragon Naturally Speaking was very uncomfortable so I decided to give the Koss CS100 set a try. WOW! I am very pleased with my purchase. The headphones are much more comfortable and the voice-recognition microphone is superior to the one that came with the product. Now, not only do I not get a headache when wearing the headset for a long period of time, but I am also making less corrections to my documents.

For $15.00, this headset is well worth every penny. I use it for multiple applications including voice chat, video chat, games, and music and it performs well in every capacity. My voice goes through clear and the audio quality is great.However, the build is a bit flimsy which is to be expected for something so cheap.

Nothing special, ordinary headphones.Sound not bad, the sound is generally good. Construction headphones is rough and not very pleasant to wear. Nothing special, but not anything special.

Sadly disappointing experience.We bought Koss for our 'reading for the visually impaired' reading service because of Koss reliability and quality.We didn't pull this purchase out of the plastic packaging right away, as we were going to use them as we needed them for replacement for use by our volunteers. It never occurred to us that they wouldn't work- they're KOSS, ferpetesake!We have several audio engineers (we're affliated with an on-air radio station) who have some ancient Koss headphones - and they still sound/work great.However, this headphone/microphone didn't work right out of the packaging - even had professional radio audio engineers try to make them work and the product never worked. NEVER EVER WORKED.Unfortunately, we discovered this just one day out of the Amazon return/exchange window.ONE DAY.Sure, we could return them for a reduced refund, etc. - but one might as well just send them back to Koss with $6 /postage for an exchange under the warranty in lieu of this deal offered by Amazon.Yes, we should have likely tested them on arrival- we get that!But these are KOSS, ferpetesake!It's not unreasonable to expect that they would likely work given Koss' track record for reliability, etc.Perhaps Koss is now farming things out overseas? (with sadly predictable results)Disappointing- our reading service have a total budget (which INCLUDES salary/fringe for one full time worker) of $30,000/year (so we're not exactly a luxe organization).A $15.xx purchase is not insignificant to us, and we're now looking at $15.xx + return postage + $6.00 for repair/replacement for something that NEVER worked AT ALL- EVER.Yeah, I know- not much $ to most folks, & we'll ultimately cope. It would be less of a deal on a personal level, but this is an organization that provides an honestly necessary service on a below-shoestring budget, & it's $$ we shouldn't reasonably have to spend.And I don't know that we'll try Koss again- "fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice,...."Their products may have once been amazing, but now.....not so sure.Sadly disappointing.

In this new pc game I've been playing, talking to companions is kind of an essential element in the game. At first I was using a webcam, but this had inconveniences such as them being able to pick up my gameplay sounds, or other people being able to hear what they have to say. I've decided to go and buy a head set, but once I checked online. I've found many of the decent ones were either out of my price range or the ones that were in my price range had terrible reviews. My cousin who is also a gamer, recommended me this headset. I was kind of skeptical at first because it seemed too good to be true, but the reviews were good, and this wasn't going to set me back much. When my package came, I tested it when I had the chance. The first I noticed was its seriously long wire, which is about 7-8 ft. This was a plus for me because I can move around a little in my room without it tugging on my head. As for the quality, to my surprise, the incoming sound was very good. I now use this head set to listen all forms of audio because it simply sounds better than listening to sound via stereo. As for the voice quality, that too is pretty good. I recorded myself reading a small passage, and I was delightedly to hear the clarity in my voice. Although it definitely not HD quality, it's still very clear and people will have no trouble understanding you. For this price, I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a nice head set.-Bao

I could have used the mic set with the Dragon speechware, however this is very much better. It helps with clear speech and hearing for any application. Would recommend it. A great product at a reasonable price.

This Koss speech recognition headset is worth the money. Some sets are flimsy and the mouthpiece arm will break and slip down constantly, but this headset doesn't move and doesn't need repositioned. It's a huge help with my work as a medical transcriptionist. The sound is good and not tinny. I recommend this headset.

While these worked wonderfully for a few weeks, they soon started to have problems. Now in every Skype call, there are times where the microphone just stops working. While it can be fixed each time by fiddling withe the microphone wire, it's extremely frustrating since it can happen at any time. Furthermore, while Koss does offer a warranty, you have to pay the shipping to get the product to them, as well as $9 to get a new set shipped to you. I really don't think these are worth it.

I needed a headset for the dragon naturally speaking software I bought. I use it for typing the endless amount of papers I have to write for my MBA program (no complaints just a lot of writing). I did not want to spend a lot of money because I am about 3/4 of the way done so these were a perfect price. They work fine, & sound fine for what they are. If you want high quality ones for travel, music, etc these are not it. They are kind of fragile being all plastic so I would not recommend taking them with you in your computer bag and such, but for at home use for use with Dragon they work great..

With a name like Koss I would have expected a bit more. the construction is light, and the comfort only marginally good. If you want some comfortable phones that you can where for an extended period, then I'd look elsewhere for a product to meet your needs.

I ordered this headset for use with the Dragon 11.5 naturally speaking software. Although the kit came with a headset, it didn't work very well. But I am ELATED at the superior quality of the Koss! I haven't tried any others but when I get something that works & I like, I stick with it. I highly recommend this headset.

I'm very disappointed with this Koss product. I've used Koss headphones in the past (apparently in the distant past, as this is the first Koss item I've bought in over 10-12 years), and have been pleased with both their construction and performance. However, this has got to be one the cheapest plastic headsets I've ever seen (and tried to use). Perhaps I expected more from Koss, even at the low price. It was ill-fitting, and difficult to adjust as the mic boom doesn't swing down far enough; I was not able to get a comfortable fit at all. And, right out of the package, the left earpiece was non-functional. I could not recommend this unit for anyone, at any price.
