I bought Dragon Naturally Speaking fully knowing that it comes with a sub-par headset. In the market to replace them, I set my sight on the Koss CS100 due to all the favorable reviews and, of course, the low price. However, nowhere in the product description does it mention that the Koss CS100 product requires a sound card either built-in or as an add-on. This is an ANALOG ONLY headset; it does NOT offer a USB or Bluetooth connection. That's a deal breaker for me. I already have a nice set of speakers with surround connected to my sound card and I see no reason to unplug them, especially when there are better digital options available.When it comes to the sound or recording quality of the Koss CS100 headset, I honestly can't form an opinion. Once I took them out of the box and realized they were analog with no volume control, they went right back in. I ended up buying a nice Andrea NC-185VM for about twice as much, but it was worth it. The build quality is fantastic -- not as flimsy as many other Andrea headsets -- and accuracy has simply been off the chart with Dragon Naturally Speaking.

I had purchased the Dragon program and needed a headset. I purchased these, mainly because of price, but was pleasantly surprised. The voice recognition worked the first time. Crystal clear! Later, I sent the set to my friend, along with the program and I purchased another set.....a better model....but I had a lot of trouble getting the voice recognition to work. I have to hold the mouth piece close to my mouth for the program not to fail. I should have bought the headphones that worked and saved myself some money. Lesson learned

I have a shunt in my brain and a lot of tubing under my scalp. I have tried other headsets that did not sit well on the shunt and it was very uncomfortable. Now that I am past the discomfort problem I can pay attention to the function of the headphone.The sound quality is excellent for both a computer-generated voice and for music. And the price was perfect for someone on a fixed income like me!I have tried ear-buds and other over-the-ear head phones and I think I have found the headset I will stay with for good.

The head phone looked as a low quality item in photo, yet do not let that stop anyone in obtaining a pair.I have found that these head phones and mic are top notice and very comfortable I forget I'm wearing themBesides they have extra long cord so your not completely tied down. If your looking for a top quality head setThat will not set you back in the mortgage then these are the ones you wanna get, just remember you are wearingThem for I am sure I came close to nearly breaking them when walking away from the computer.

This was a gift for my daughter who wanted to replace her $5.00 walmart headphones because wen she was in an online meting her voice level would unexpectedly drop. I purchased the Koss headphones for her from Amazon, she was very disappointed and frustrated with this Koss product - why? They had no mute button and when she used these Koss CS100 Speech Recognition Computer Headsetwith her computer the settings of sound and speech were all adversely affected. Unfortunately she became so frustrated with these headphones that she threw them on the ground and they broke - in addition - she had thrown out the packaging so I cannot return them for a refund. Very disappointed!!

I'm sure this headset is a good headset, but if you're looking for something to plug into the back of your Mac Mini; this is not the headset for you.The Audio-In port on the back of the Mac Mini is for amplified audio only. Not for the normal use of a Mic. If you're looking to be able to use a headset with your Mac Mini, look for a USB headset or bluetooth headset.The rating really doesn't reflect the performance of the headset since I was only able to use half of it's claimed functions.

These headphones are comfortable, adjustable enough, and have a bendable, adjustable arm as well. Sound quality seems to be great. Only thing I might criticize is that the arm is so long for my face and head, that the little mike at the end is too far away from my mouth. I bent the arm at about a 45 degree angle to come closer to my mouth when talking (I'm using these primarily to accompany Dragon Naturally Speaking). They look nice, good that they're not bright kid-like colors I suppose.

May not be Koss' fault, but getting these to work with my computer is a pain, and every time I restart, I have to go back into control panel to set it up again. I bought them for voice recognition, and they work better than the ones that came with Dragon Naturally Speaking, but still ...

This Koss "CS100 Speech Recognition Computer Headset" works exactly as I had hoped for use with Dragon NaturallySpeaking Home 12.0, English. The headphones that come with the Dragon software is OK, but not really comfortable for long periods of time so I decided to try these out instead.While they feel sort of "plasticy" and are not great physical quality, they are good enough for daily dictation use in dragon and for the occasional Skype call. The earphones cover the ears well and sound decent, but they do not block out much of the ambient noise (which might be a negative or a positive thing, based on your needs). It would have been better for me if the microphone physically had a greater range of motion, but it is fairly sensitive and works well.These work well for my needs and play nice with the voice recognition software, making them a good overall value.Recommended!CFH

As another reviewer mentioned, this is not a USB headset and will not work with Dragon Naturally. My computer doesn't even register that there's an external microphone plugged in. I'm returning this set and getting a USB one instead.

Bought this headset that was 'suggested" with Nuance Dragon speech recognition. 2 days later and it's in the trash already. One earpiece came apart when putting it down, and tiny wires detached. Poor construction, not that comfortable. And, the headset that comes free with Dragon seems to have slightly better recognition (can't be sure) and is more comfortable! Don't waste your money on this!!

I love this head set. Sound is clear and it block out a lot of the background noise. The mike work well and again, it filters out a lot of the back ground sounds and so make it easier for the program to understand you.

These work great for my Dragon dictate! They work better than the $80 headset I tried first. They are definitely not for music enjoyment but for speech recognition use they are top drawer.

I am sure this would be fine if you just need a headset, I don't really know because it didn't do what I needed it to. I am not happy that this product shows up when you type in Rosetta Stone Headset if it won't work with the program. Now I have to wait for another headset. Be careful about price being your guide.

Rating this speech recognition computer headset isn't easy because I couldn't tell wheter the one that came with the program was better or not. It was purchased because the packaging of te program didn't say one way or another if there was headset inside. But this I will say it is good for a second pair.

When I bought Dragon Naturally Speaking, I didn't realized that headphones were furnished in the package. After I discovered it, when I opened the package, I knew I didn't need the Koss headphones, so I'll be returning them for credit.

I ordered the headset for my husband's Dragon Naturally Speaking unaware that a set came with the program. He seems to prefer this set over the one that came with the program.

It took me a while to figure it out-where to plug what -no instructions were included,I can voice search Google but still haven't got the sound to come from my ITunes thru the headphones,guess I'll figure it out eventually when I feel like messing with it,got it mainly for the microphone though.
