These are absolutely great earphones -- if you keep perfectly still while listening to music (or talking on the phone) and ensure the cable never touches your clothing.
Music sounds beautiful and much clearer through this JBL Live 100 compared to the set I had previously (the Sony MDR-XB50AP). They are also really comfortable.
However, if you are listening to music at a reasonable (ie, not deafening) volume -- or just talking on the phone --, the moment you move you will immediately get so much cable noise that you will think you mistakenly put on a doctor's stethoscope. Sounds like a joke, but unfortunately it isn't and ruins these headphones for peopl.
It really is a pity because I love their sound and that makes them totally useless for me.

Rich, detail sound with strong bass and strong percussion. Great for Rock, Dance, Hip Hop, Rap, Electronica, and to a certain extent Jazz. Acoustic guitars sound fairly good as well. Not the best sound for classical music. This earbud also does not respond as well to an Equalizer or high quality dac/amp as do some quality competitor earbuds. Zero Audio Carbo Tenore and Symphonized NRG X are more compatible with changes to the sound profiles provided by the external sound tech. These competitor earbuds also provide more balance in the presentation.
Build quality is excellent for the price. Accessories are also fine for the price. The earbuds stay in one's ears, and external sounds are blocked out to a high degree. It really can provide a moving sound in a fun way. There is treble sparkle and deep bass.
JBL = commercial sound = pretty enjoyable.

I bought these based on the Wirecutter review. Since going remote, my Bose earbuds ended up trashed and I needed a replacement quickly. These seemed good at first, with the only issue being some low-level background static that was just annoying during personal use (never bothered me while I was in meetings). However, I only had these about 3 months before I suddenly got no sound out of the left earbud. There doesn't seem to be any damage anywhere--nothing frayed or bent or popped out. They were working one day and not working the next. They're still usable because I get sound out of the right earbud, but I need to find another pair of earbuds now. Very disappointed; this is what I'd expect out of $10 earbuds.

There's no volume control. Sound is OK, not great because there's no volume control other than the one on your phone which sucks. I would expect more from JBL brand and at this price. I got other brand at lower price that works better than this one. I am disappointed. Also, it keeps falling off from my ear. It doesn't stay there when I'm working out. And I have small ears.

I bought these earbuds after reading the Wirecutter review.
Positive:
Good-sounding midrange and highend.
Nice cloth "no tangle" cord.
Angled plug tip.
Negative:
The lower range and bass are somewhat muddy and muffled. I expected more from JBL.

Was excited because I've heard good things about JBL products in the past, and had had this product recommended as a good budget in-ear headphone. However, the sound quality was not good with any device that I tested it with (windows PC, Pixel, and iPad). Sound was harsh and screechy in the mid and upper range (fatiguing after only a few minutes), was lacking in the bass range, and muddy throughout. I am currently trying to return it--would definitely not buy again.
Silicone eartips were fine, just needed a bit of size-swapping to get a good fit, and I really liked the woven cable cord--though would have liked it more if it extended up to the earbuds, rather than just the split.

Like many other reviewers, I bought these based on the Wirecutter review. I will not follow their advice again. These earphones have a very "small" sound and have nearly no bass to them. My $12 Edifier phones are much, much better. Also, these earphones don't fit my ear. I tried all three of the sizers that come with it and none of them work. If I don't hold the phones in place with my thumbs, the phones just fall out.

Only complaint is they don’t stay completely tucked in my ears when running... they don’t fly out or anything so it’s not a deal breaker, but it’s a slight nuisance. Given the price, these are still worth it. Wire is super nice and doesn’t get tangled and sound quality is great.

These are, overall, very good earbuds. And the sound quality is great. But the fabric-wrapped cord transfers far too much noise. Even a turn of the head will generate some into the buds.
The one-button mic is good enough and fairly unobtrusive but it's a frustration of mine that JBL and many other brands (cough, Sony, cough) do not offer no-mic models. These earbuds would be great for just sitting and listening to music or a podcast but the cord noise makes them almost useless for taking calls on the go.

Bought these to replace a different type of earbud based on a Wirecutter review. I like the heavier duty cord, good sound quality, and built in microphone. I had to use the rubber ear pieces from an older pair of headphones that fit my ears better (these were too large). It would be nice if there was volume control, too.

JBL headphones are the real deal!. They feel comfortable on your ears and the sound is nice and crisp not to mention they feel durable. The red is very beautiful and you will enjoy these I highly recommend.

I love these head phones. A really good value. Separation, details. Full range response, slight realistic bass boost- not over bearing. There is some "air" around the instruments not a lot. But each musical instrument is convincing and has its own space. Not a 200$ headphone but one of the best cheap headphones I have heard.

the first pair was great. have replaced lost or damaged ones with new pairs that have consistently had issues with intermittent connection problems in one earphone. wiggling the cord near the jack causes sound to drop out and back in.

The left earbud died less than a year after I got them. The earbuds before these were cheaper and lasted 5 years, so I am not impressed.

One of the best headphone values on the market. For the price, you won't find headphones with such great range and response. These don't approach my beloved JBL Studio Monitors, but they do live up to the JBL name.

Exactly what I needed. They're a lot more durable than Apple's ear buds, and I've had zero problems with sound quality on Zoom meetings and cell phone calls.

comfortable - not all headphones fit my ears well and these work great.
the sound quality was so good that I was able to lower the volume on my phone three notches and hear just as loudly as my previous headphones!

the 3 stars my perfect rating for the product itself, however. The shipping issues I have gone through twice now are the reason I withhold the other two stars. I ordered this product in the color white but it came in the color green. Then I noticed it was just a bar-code error so the machine thought it was white. So I was ok with it and just re-ordered them in white again. Same issue. They came back as green in a different box but the label still clearly marked this product as white. So instead of just sending these back the drive would cost as much as the headphones themselves I will just keep them this time. But consumers please keep this as a forewarning. Setting this all aside the headphones provide a fantastic sound with amazing noise cancellation.

Хороший объём и глубина сцены - - верхняя часть кабеля,где уже начинается полимер, помнит свою форму лучше,чем я выпускной. Её просто невозможно сделать прямой. Малейшее падение температуры на улице или в доме,кабель дубеет
Кнопка на кабеле любит играть в прятки.
Иной раз,чтобы переключить трек,нужно прям давить на неё, но она как-будто с другой стороны
К покупке рекомендую.
П.С. если у вас телефон самсунг без 3.5 Jack, и хотите в этих наушниках слушать музыку,то покупайте переходник type-c на 3.5 jack именно от самсунга

- + Удобно сидят в ушах, удобный шнур, который не спутывается
- - Через 3 месяца перестал работать левый наушник
До этого была другая похожая модель jbl e15, они мне достались уже б/у и плюс я с ними еще проходила пару лет, но, к сожалению, ее больше не выпускают. Думала, что эта модель тоже прослужит долго, но как-то очень быстро все закончилось.
