Let's get the good out of the way first: It produces the clearest outgoing sound of any bluetooth headset I've used (according to the people on the other end). For me, it sounds great -- voices are loud and clear, and this is enhanced by the noise-cancellation feature that actually reduces the background noise for the wearer of the headset. When you connect the headset, it is like a hush falls over the city, almost as though we're in a theatre and the audience is preparing for the show. That's what this noise cancellation technology is like. Sounds you don't want to hear -- noise -- gets muffled, and you can concentrate on the call. And its wind performance! Folks, I was using this thing while riding 20 mph on my bicycle, the wind was coming at me left right and forward, and I shouted at the people on the other end, "Can you hear me over all the wind??!" Their response: "What wind?" Me: "You're kidding, right? I'm on my bicycle. You can't tell?" Them: "No. It just sounds like you shouting. Stop shouting." So Jabra has clearly hit this one out of the park in terms of wind reduction. If you ever use your headset while biking or jogging or just walking into the wind, you definitely want to consider this one.So then why only four stars? Because of little NIGGLES that are sometimes just annoying, but sometimes fatal to the call. For instance, one of the selling points of this particular flavor of "Jabra SUPREME" is the little Bluetooth dongle that comes in the package, and allows you to connect to your computer without installing drivers. Well, for most people this will be a nonstarter; all computers made within the last several years have bluetooth capabilities with no driver installation required. So I paired the headset with my top of the line 27" iMac desktop... got it to pair... lost the pair... the computer got confused... and KERNEL PANIC. That's right, the whole damn thing just stopped working. I had to do a hard reboot -- on my Mac! One of the most stable computers out there!I tried again. Same problem. I'm not sure what's going on but I think it might have to do with the fact that I have several Bluetooth devices connected at once -- a trackpad, a keyboard, and this headset -- and it's confusing the driver somehow. So I stopped using the headset with my Mac, but that was okay because I wanted it mainly for my phone. At this point you might ask, But Matt, maybe it's not supposed to work well unless you use their included dongle. To this I say: You mean to tell me a company wants me to fill up one of my precious USB ports with their stupid dongle that only provides a bluetooth receiver signal which my computer already does? No. I don't think the dongle would be required. Still, I did have a chance to use the dongle at work because, despite my earlier assertion, some computers made in the last five years actually don't come with Bluetooth. So I plugged the dongle in to the crappy Dell desktop, waited while the corner of the Windows screen became completely ecstatic at the prospect of adding all this amazing new hardware (really just one thing, but she called it a bluetooth device, an audio device, an I/O device... she was super excited I tell ya).Anyway, end result? After fiddling around with the sound card settings, I could indeed get the dongle to work. But then, YOU GUESSED IT, it crashed the system! Things froze up. I was pissed. Babies were sacrificed. I no longer use the dongle anywhere. There's one more thing: When I am making calls with my iPhone 4, usually it works just fine, especially when I dial out. Phone routes audio through the Jabra SUPREME UC, and everyone is happy. But sometimes when I'm calling out, the audio will weirdly go through my iPhone headset, even if it says Jabra. Or sometimes it seems like it says Jabra but it's not going anywhere and no one can hear anyone. This happens frequently when I'm on a call with the Jabra, and then someone calls me, and I try to put the first call on hold and accept the second, but then I can't figure out where the audio from that call has been routed to, and I end up having to end all the calls and call everyone again from scratch. This happens a lot.But it doesn't happen *quite* enough for me to downgrade the Jabra SUPREME UC to 3 stars (although if there were an option for 3.5, I would choose that one in a heartbeate). To sum up: Great audio, amazing wind cancellation, questionable audio routing over iPhone, bad dongle! BAD DONGLE! DONGLE, STOP!

Jabra has taken a different direction with the Jabra Supreme in that it doesn't utilize an in ear bud, but rather rests over your ear with a comfortable flexible ear hook. I know the Supreme has received some complaints about people saying it doesn't feel secure due to the ear hook being the only thing holding it in place, however if you replace the standard ear piece covering with the included alternative, you will have a much more secure fit. The alternative ear piece has two little prongs on it that DO go into the ear canal to help keep it in place. In my opinion, Jabra should have made this the standard version because without it, the Supreme does feel very unstable on my ear. That said, I'm ok with it not being a traditional in ear piece like so many other bluetooth headsets because over time those tend to really irritate my ears and I'm regularly pulling out the ear piece to rub my sore ear. Not fun. This new design is a very welcome change for me personally and I think it will be for many others as well. All these things considered, the Jabra Supreme is very very comfortable to wear and only weighs in at about 6oz. It might be slightly bigger than the standard, but I think for what you gain in call quality and noise reduction, the slightly larger design is well worth it.The Jabra Supreme is also unique from most other bluetooth headsets thanks to its extended mic that folds back neatly for storage when not in use. Clearly the closer the mic is to your mouth, the better the other party will be able to hear you. This coupled with some really great noise reduction technology makes for excellent call quality, better than any other headset I've used for calls, bar none. When using the Supreme, people can't tell when I'm in the car or outside and that's really fantastic for me as I tend to make calls while I'm out walking my three dogs and wind can be a major annoyance with some lesser quality headsets. Not so anymore with the Supreme.Sound quality is also excellent. You CAN use this for audio streaming, which isn't true with a lot of these single ear piece style bluetooth headsets. This is a nice addition for those times when I'm caught out without my Jabra Halo 2 and want to listen to some music while I'm working. It also looks more like I'm working and less like I'm listening to music than when I'm wearing a full headset, hehe! Nice bonus. It also has the dual pairing feature which basically means I can pair it to my iPad and my iPhone at the same time, and while I'm listening to music or watching a movie on my iPad and my iPhone rings, my music/video will pause and the call will transfer to the headset automatically. This is a common feature in bluetooth headsets these days but it's still very nice to have it as there are some bluetooth devices still floating around the market that can only be used with a single device unless you want to go through the hassle of pairing every time you want to use it with a new device. The voice control is quite frankly the best I've seen in any bluetooth headset I've used in the past. You can control virtually any aspect of it's use with just your voice, even rejecting calls. It's quite nice to not have to fumble around with the buttons. Really the only buttons you'll ever have to push are the volume controls on the back of the unit. There is no power button because pulling out the mic turns it on and folding it back turns it off, much like the way the Jabra Halo turns on and off when you open and fold it.Battery life is fair. I would expect it to be a little higher given it's size but it's fair enough. It will last for about 5 hours of talk time, which on some days really isn't enough for me but for the most part it is fine. It has a good long standby time however so if you use it infrequently, you can be sure it will keep its charge for at least a week with little use. Given it's design and superb call quality with excellent noise reduction, I can easily say it's the best single ear piece headset I've used and has become my favorite for making and taking calls. I still prefer my Jabra Halo 2 for entertainment purposes, but the Supreme more than fits the bill with it's extremely portable size and good battery life.

I got this device to have a convenient portable handsfree to supplement my in car hands free. I find it to be very good in call quality and ease of use, but bulky and a bit on the ugly side.DesignThis is an all black unit, with a rotating boom microphone. Opening and closing the boom turns the device on. It has a button for voice commands on the boom, an answer/end call button on the main unit, two volume buttons on the rear of the device, and a charge indicator that is only used when charging. Thankfully, there is no bright blue "connected" light. This device uses an over ear hook, and sits free of the ear, unlike some that are actually stuck inside the ear. The main part of the case is bulky, I suppose to support the large size speaker for the ear. It uses MicroUSB to charge and to connect to the PC for firmware updates.PackagingThe device comes with a Jabra wall charger (very short cord), a car USB port with detachable MicroUSB cable, a spare ear hook, an alternate cover for the speaker, and a really nifty zippered carrying case that is custom fitted to the design of the device when powered down (folded).Features- Advanced noise control. This includes something new called "Noise Blackout 3.0", which is supposed to provide even more suppression. I used the device when traveling in my car, and the distant end reported good sound quality. I could hear well.- PC bluetooth dongle to allow connection to a PC for internet calling. I am using WIndows 7 64 bit, and I simply plugged in the dongle and the device drivers were downloaded from Microsoft. When I first installed it, the device driver set the headset as my primary sound output and recording device; it seemed to be a bit weak on built in windows sounds, but it does work with media player (although I'm not sure if one wants the combined stereo sound in one ear). The software lists the following client softphones: Avaya IP Softphone. Avaya one-X Communicator, Cisco UC Client, Cisco WebEx Connect, IBM Lotus Sametime V8.0/V8.5, and Skype. I don't do Internet calling, but I think it will work based on what I see and hear from my connection.- Jabra PC Suite, which can be downloaded from the website, supports firmware updates, incorporates a call manager, and has basic controls for the headset when paired to the PC. To get status on the headset itself, one has to plug it into the PC via wired usb cable.- Easy handfree dialing - just hold the call button or boom button for 2 seconds, and the handsfree goes to the phone and runs whatever voice control software is installed. The documentation mentioned Siri, which means it supports the Iphone, but I'm using Android, and my MotoSpeak software also works fine. The call/hang up botton is quite large. I like this because I have big hands.- The device puts out a lot of sound when connected to the phone, so it is good that the volume controls are simple to use. I think this might be useful for hearing impaired people; I had to turn down the volume!- This device has some basic built-in headset commands. The command button on the boom supports the following commands: redial, call back, phone commands (I'm not really sure what this means and I couldn't get it to work), battery (provides remaining talk time - a nice feature), pair new device, and cancel. The device can support two phones and a computer dongle.Drawbacks- OK, the design is bulky, black, and big. This is not a headset that will go unnoticed. The pictures here on Amazon are accurate, but be advised that this is not a fashion accessory.- I had a bit of trouble pairing the device - because I couldn't remember how to get it into pairing mode. Most Jabra headsets work by holding the call button down, but this one works by holding the button down while opening the boom. I found that I had to continue holding it down while my phone searched for the headset. As it turns out, one can also hit the voice command button on the boom and re-pair the device. When I'm sitting at my PC, I can hear the noise suppression come on and off. It is not really annoying, but noticeable.SummaryIt is a large and conspicuous headset. However, in my opinion the functionality it provides, and the quality of the calls it supports, make it a winner. Highly Recommended.

I got this gizmo over 6 weeks ago, and i waited this time to review it so i can compose an experience-based impression about it.here it goes:1- Shape and Materials:A-Headset:Pros:- Ergonomic shape and reflects the designer's knowledge of human outer ear configuration.- 4 silicon gel fittings for ear piece. (i preferred the one already installed) but if you have smaller/larger than usual ear canal, you will find a fitting.- Light weight (around 8 gm)- No Buttons at all.- Thin and flexible ear piece holder, it does not cause pressure on your outer ear, sometimes you forget you were wearing it! and it FITS even in the presence of glasses or sunglasses. Thats a nice thing in my experience.- Velvety (skin-like) texture, fingerprint proof, nice to catch, never slips off your fingers or your ear.Cons:- Only fits right ear. Not a big problem to me, however, if you cant use your right ear, DO NOT BUY IT! its no good for you.- dirt can easily accumulate in ear piece opening and in the little space around the end of ear piece (this can make the answer/reject button click sticky) ...This can be overcome by inspecting the headset every time you take it off your ear, and remove any earwax on the spot.- After long usage, and if you have a Large ear curvature ,the ear loop slightly lose spring power, and when placed in Stone, it sticks out a bit, this protrusion can make it inadvertently hook to anything in pocket/purse and make it dislodge. This can be solved by slightly pressing the ear loop inward with the palm of your hand (hold the headset in your hand, close your hand gently as if you are squeezing the headset loop, hold it in that position for a minute or repeat the maneuver every 5 seconds for couple of minutes.. (it feels like tiny Stress ball training!) don't over press or you may crush it :)B-Stone:Pros:- Novel design & Innovative idea. Saves much time for frequent recharge of the headset.- Perfect storage for headset.- Light weight.- LED light indicating charge left in battery.- Same outer material like headset. same feeling.Cons:- The belt clip is made of plastic, feels a bit cheap, i won't risk it break loose and lose my stone/headset.- No alternative to recharge the headset of the stone was out of reach or worst case: lost. If you lose the stone, kiss the headset goodbye- No protection for the headset ear piece from having dirt or debris from pocket/purse. always take care and have a quick look at ear piece after you take it out of the stone & before you insert it into your ear canal. I once had a tiny wooden chip stuck in it, it was sharp enough to cause skin prick. i think one can never guess whats in his pocket all time!2- Operation:A- Headset:Pros:- Pairing with 1st phone is a no brainer, just enable BT on phone, make it discoverable, switch on headset (after Fully charging it) and hear audio instruction/comments which confirms connection.- Works with iPhone 4 smoothly, no troubles in pairing /reception!- Very Good battery life (it worked upon first charge for a whole 50 min call, flawlessly, at the end of call, battery level was medium. then it worked next day for around 30 min before recharge was needed. Apprx bat life is 60 hrs Stdby, 1.5-2 hrs talk time.- Verbal commands is a Big plus!- Fast Connection time. When headset is taken out of the stone, takes less than 4 secs to successfully hook with phone sending/ receiving a call.- Reasonable range of BT connection (7-8 meters from phone) no walls. if from room-to-room range is around 3-4m. with 1-2 walls in between. then signal is lost.- Volume level can be changed by touch,, thats pretty cool and practical. but before you try raising the volume level, make sure that the ear piece is pointing toward your ear canal, sometime a little movement can dramatically improve the volume. also beware to check the volume level on your phone. Its better to set volume level to high @ phone than on the headset. Make a trail call to check that before first use. you will hear "scrolling/clicks" as u move ur finger up/ down the headset. then when u reach top level, the little clicks stops and you hear a Longer than usual click.- Sound quality for both sides is Good, some complained of broken words, but i never had problem in receiving as long as the network signal was OK.- Perfect reception and clear audio when you are in a noisy background (Mall/ Market/ driving), however, you may experience "static clicks" or "beeps" if you pass by strong electromagnetic field (near power transformers/ high voltage electrical mains or the 300kV towers. Also if there are many bluetooth trying to connect to your device (specially in malls), you can hear beeps sometimes, its mainly from the phone not headset.CONS:- Static can be annoying, but as i said its not all time, it depends on where you are.- Some networks cause Battery life to drop dramatically, (around 50% of power is drained by the cellular network) as they scan your phone status more frequently and this makes phone refresh

I have tried a number of different Bluetooth headsets or headphones over the years for making calls from my phone or using Skype or Voice on my phone, iPod or computer. Most of the headsets that I tried were ok, but not perfect. The Jabra Supreme UC Bluetooth headset, however has really stood out as being an outstanding headset.I have connected the Jabra headset to my laptop, my Android phone and my iPod using Bluetooth. I found the pairing to be easy on all of the devices. A bonus is that you can pair to two devices at once which is a nice feature if you use both Skype and your mobile phone. The call clarity using the Jabra Supreme is excellent. Unlike some of the other headsets that I have tried, people dont know that I am on a headset when I am using the Jabra Supreme. What I really appreciate is that the Jabra Supreme also comes with a small USB dongle that can be used to pair the headset with a computer that does not have Bluetooth. I think that this is a very nice feature of the headset. I use my computer at work for making Skype calls for meetings and I much prefer the lightweight, Jabra Supreme to a wired headset which I would have to use otherwise. As far as comfort goes, I barely notice that headset is on my head. The headset hangs from a hook that is tucked behind your ear. A nice feature is that the hook can be adjusted so that the headset can be worn on either ear. The headset comes with two ear cushions which are positioned between the plastic headset body and your ear. There is a video showing how to attach the ear cushions, but I found that I had to watch it on a large screen (not my phone) to be able to see how to attach them. Although the headset is loosely fitted to your ear, I have had no problems with it moving while I walk around while talking on the device. The range for the Bluetooth connection is good and I have no trouble with it disconnecting or dropping calls while walking around or working in the kitchen while on the phone. The controls for the headset are easy to use. Just flipping the boom microphone turns on and off the headset which is a nice feature. There is a volume control on the back of the headset that is intuitive. I have tried using the voice commands with good success. In summary:Pros:- very good range using Bluetooth- the USB connector makes it possible to use the headset with desktop computers- easy to pair- pairs to multiple devices at once- excellent sound quality- comfortable- easy to use- turns on when you unfold the microphone which makes it quick and easy to turn on- folds up for easy storage in its case- lots of instructional videos on the Jabra website to help you use the headsetCons:- the headset extends to about 3.5 inches in length when the boom microphone is unfolded which makes it conspicuous if you are worried about that- the USB dongle is tiny and therefore easy to misplace- with the boom extended, it is larger than some other headsets- the instructions are printed in a tiny fontOverall, the best Bluetooth headset that I own. I am very pleased with the clarity of the calls, the ease of use and the features such as the USB dongle for desktops. These benefits more than outweigh the few negatives about the headset.

I've purchased and reviewed several different Bluetooth headsets, the majority of them becoming big disappointments. When I got the Jabra Supreme UC Bluetooth headset, I was extremely pleased to have finally found a Bluetooth headset that does the job and does it well. But then, for the price, I would hope so.Function: The Jabra Supreme UC works without a hitch and so easy to use. I use it with my Samsung Flight cell phone on a daily basis. The units found each other easily. The headset voice prompts are clear and easy to understand. The headset has two volume buttons in the back which I find a bit hard to find quickly. Flipping the boom mic to turn it off or works perfect. No power buttons! Yay!Additionally, I really like the voice commands. It works really well. A small button set on the mic boom activates it. Rarely do I need to repeat myself. With it, I can find out how much talk time I have left on the battery, accept or decline calls, access the voice features on cell phone, and more. It's a great feature to take advantage of.Design & Comfort: The design of the headset with its default ear-pad insert is a bit quirky. It just sits on top of your ear like a muff. I like the extra insert with the extended prongs (included) as I can feel it better and helps me to fit it just right. The ear wrap is comfortable and semi-flexible. It slides out to adjust for either the right or left ear. (However, putting it the left ear, the volume buttons will now be upside down.) Occasionally when I put it on it feels like it wants to fall off, but it hasn't. Overall, the unit a little bulky but is comfortable and nice. I've used it for talking for over an hour without it stressing my ear. It's not quite "I forget it's there" but still a comfortable headset. The Jabra Supreme comes with an nice looking compact protective storage case which is great for storing away in my purse when I'm not using it.Quality: This is where this headset shines. Voices come in very clear...better than on the cell phone. I now prefer to use the headset over my cell phone. Also, to my delight, people can hear me clearly when I use it! They have not once noticed that I switched to a headset, unlike other headsets I've used in the past. My husband is especially notorious on this. The moment I switch over to a headset, he has noticed immediately. This time, I've used the Jabra several times (switching live to the headset) without telling him and never once has he complained about it. I've also bumped and rubbed the mic by error a few times and nobody has complained.I tested the mic on my PC to verify the voice quality of the mic by making a test recording. I was very impressed how loud and clear my voice was recorded. With the PC: Works like a charm! I plugged it into my Windows 7 laptop, it found the drivers on its own right away and within seconds the headset was working. This is my first time using a Bluetooth headset on a computer and I'm really liking it so far. I will be taking advantage of this for sure.Overall, despite its rather high price, I am extremely happy with the Jabra Supreme headset. Its comfortable design, features, and great sound quality have won me over. Jabra has delivered on its promises of what this headset can do. Imagine - a Bluetooth headset that actually works well. FINALLY!

The Jabra Stone 2 is a surprising bluetooth unit with a few very good features that are sometimes overshadowed by awkward ones. The good:Good, functional designDecent acoustics with noise reductionReal, hands-free operation with voice-activated "answer" and "decline" functionsPortable charging egg with clothes clipGood voice quality on the listener's endThe bad:Sometimes bizarre design decisions including right-ear-only orientationShorter than advertised talk-timeHollow sounding voicesThe ugly:Ridiculous, illogical battery life claims (ten hours)Equally ridiculous multimedia device claimIt is easy to call the Jabra Stone 2 "awkward" because it isn't really bad; in fact, some of its features are real, unique innovations which, with slightly better implementation or with less grandiose claims would be considered great in another device. With the battery life as one important exception, the stone 2 does what the manufacturer claims it does and if you wish for anything at all, you wish that it did it only slightly better.Out of it's oval plastic box, the Stone 2 is a sleek package, shaped like a flattened, black egg that functions as a charging station and it is here that the innovation begins: putting the headset into the charging station turns it off; taking it out again turns it on and, once you've paired the headset with your phone, creates a bluetooth connection quickly and dependably.Another fine innovation in the Stone 2 is its digital signal processing features. The Stone 2 borrows a page from other manufacturer's playbooks and uses a voice for important announcements such as the headset's battery level and reading off the phone number when a call is received. The Stone 2 allows the user to take, or reject calls by saying "accept" or "decline" after the voice has read the last digit of the number (saying them before then seems to drop the call directly to voicemail). This is a great feature for people who simply *must* talk on the phone while driving; it allows them to keep both hands on the wheel. The Stone 2's voice feature ignores one aspect of contemporary culture: in a world full of cell phones that store libraries of phone numbers, fewer people memorize phone numbers as they once did, and having a string of numbers read to a user might not tell him or her anything useful. Those are all very praiseworthy design features but once you go past them, things get rocky.Used in a quiet environment, the Jabra Stone 2 is a stellar performer. Listeners report great sound, while the user hears the voice on the other end as somewhat hollow, but certainly clear and recognizable. In noisier, or windier environments, conversations rapidly become exchanges of "huh?" and "What?" despite Jabra's claim of effective noise-cancellation.One definitely edgy aspect of the Stone 2's design is the decision to use an asymmetrical, right-ear-only design. The Stone 2 is certainly stylish and well-fitting in the ear (better than the great majority of bluetooth units I've ever owned or tested including Blue Ant and the (early) Aliph Jawbone), however, no matter how good the fit, the design begs the question, `what about people with reduced or absent hearing in their right ears?" Jabra's obvious answer appears to be, `use something else.'Things become well and truly strange when you come to the Stone 2's battery life. Jabra Claims that the Stone 2 unit alone has a two-hour battery life and that it will run for up to ten hours with the charging cradle. The second of these claims lacks even a toehold in reality. The Stone 2 unit I have for review doesn't like long phone calls. It has never lasted for more than ninety minutes before the voice started announcing "low battery" and the claim that the Stone 2 with the charging cradle operates for up to ten hours is based on a logical dodge: if the user makes phone calls that drain the battery, and puts it back in the charging cradle until it is fully charged, repeating the process until all the combined power of the charger and headset is exhausted, the total time the headset was functional might tally up to ten hours, but it will be ten hours broken up by charging cycles when the unit will be either useless, or only partially charged.By this reasoning, Jabra might as well say that the Unit has twenty-hours of talk time because you'll use much of those twenty hours to get the full ten hours of charge, talk and charge again cycles out of it. This is either logically bizarre or a deception depending on your way of looking at things.Almost equally odd is Jabra's claiming that the Stone 2 is a multimedia device. Yes, it will certainly play an audiobook stored on your phone, but it has only a volume control and an end-call switch on the body of the device, and single-ear sound with a strongly limited dynamic range stopped being the norm for listening to media with the introduction of the Sony Walkman a long, long time ago.At the end of the day, the Jabra Stone 2 is not a bad headset; it is a goo

I've used a half dozen different Bluetooth headset of all shapes and sizes: give me practical over pretty any time. I tested the Jabra Supreme along the windy cliffs of Lands End Trail in San Francisco during our family's summer vacation. The sound quality on phone calls was nothing short of excellent. The Jabra Supreme comes with a zip up case that I can carry in my front pocket or toss into my backpack. The box included a car charger, a USB charger and a second ear cushion. I charged my headset with the USB charger in the hotel each morning before we took off for the day. I used the headset on and off all day to check ahead, make reservations, take personal calls and still had enough juice to get back to the hotel 12 hours later.I don't run with Ethan Hunt and his MI crew so the bulky construction noted in other product reviews is only beneficial if you are planning covert operations. The headset sits comfortably in my ear for as long as needed, which is no more than 10-15 minutes. I tried listening to music wirelessly from my smartphone and the sound was good, but I prefer to have both ears piped in, so I don't plan to use the Jabra Supreme for that purpose. To give you a sense of the headset I've used and reviewed before, here's a partial list of my previous Amazon reviews:I recommend the Kinivo BTH220 Bluetooth Stereo Headphone for wireless music streaming. The headset has an over-the-ear design and offers hands-free calling.I don't recommend the Sennheiser RS 170 Digital Wireless Headphone designed for watching TV. The headset offers a multipurpose transmitter that also functions as an "easy charge" cradle and docking station. However, charging issues and poor design detracted from the sound and comfort.I recommend the Jabra SPORT corded Stereo Sports Headset for listening to music during your workouts. And I recommend the Jabra CLIPPER Bluetooth Stereo Headset, which is designed as a clothing clip and comes with noise-blocking earbud headphones. This Bluetooth stereo headset allows for hands-free calling but the phone audio is not as crisp as Jabra's supreme model.I'm pleased with the majority of the Jabra products I've tested. I carry the Jabra Supreme with me now wherever I go, especially when I'm driving and need hands-free service.Rating: Five stars

* Inspection and Testing** Pro's and Con's*** Conclusion* The STONE 2, the second edition of their Stone styled Bluetooth headset is a brilliant technological piece of audio equipment.I've been using the Stone 2 for the past several weeks and it improves on the "basic" functions of a Bluetooth headset while incorporating wireless commands that connects to PDA, computers, MP3/4 players and the internet. This is something special. The Stone headset is about the size a large almond. There are two styles offered: a smooth, glossy finish and a textured, matte finish. The model I have is the textured and although it is made out of a polycarbonate material, it feels glove-leather soft. The headset, itself, is shaped like a strip of fruit skin that's been peeled. It wraps around the ear and the speaker itself fits comfortably in the ear canal. There's also two other earpieces included inside of the beautiful, if not elaborate, headphone case.Once on, the headset gives you instructions on how to connect it to your primary Bluetooth device. After which, the headset will tell you how strong of a charge the headset has. After having to forget to place it back into its shell for several days, the headset told me that the charge was strong. The broad part of the headset (the other side of the speaker) has a soft "click" mechanism. This is the on/off switch. The volume control, which is an invisible touchpad above it, is engaged by gently moving a finger up the headset--next to no pressure is needed.A2DP--wireless connection. Flawless. I have a separate prepaid phone as a business line and calling my main PDA, the headset will tell you "Telephone # xxx--xxx-xxxx is calling. Accept or Ignore?" At this point, accepting puts you into a conversation and ignoring returns you to the music you may have been listening to.There's no paperwork included, and to be honest, none is actually needed. You just have to know where on your phone or Bluetooth device is the connection. On Jabra's website, you can download the instruction manual or watch a Quickstart tutorial. Also, the site gives you options to buy peripheral software that will allow you to have wireless- audio access to programs on your computer, especially iPod Touch, iPad and the iOS. There's a Jabra device page set up on Apple's website for device compatibility.** Pro's And Con's.+ Extremely comfortable. Feels like a soft earmuff.+ Long battery life, digital-strength indicator (voice.)+ A2DP connection works well. (And, the ability to use the headset for voice-activated programs and virtual activities is extremely promising.)+ Audio reception. For calls, the receivers had no idea in our conversation that I was wearing a headset, even outdoors. Musically speaking, the reception changed with the bit rate of the songs I listened to. In other words, all of the music did NOT sound the same. (I wasn't looking for the highest audio fidelity because it is only for a single ear and I wouldn't want the company to compromise the other advancements in lieu of it. I have premium headphones for that.)Con's- Price. The price in the past 4 weeks (as of the date of this published review, 3-3-11) ranged from $89- $130. Having several other Bluetooth/ wireless headset devices, this one is above average. If the "better" Bluetooth headsets are between $ 50- $60 during that year when it is released, I would say a reasonable price would be about $75- $80. $130 is definitely not in my price range for a Bluetooth headset, but more importantly, I think it is overpriced even for a high-quality device such as it is.*** So... Stylish! Comfortable! Long battery life! Audio connection/ corresponding fidelity and internet/ software-program compatibility all above par. Price warrants a re-evaluation to something a bit more moderately priced.5 minus 1 equals 4 stars.

I've used Jawbone and Bose, and Jabra bluetooth headsets in the past, and while they worked admirably, there always seemed to be something off with the fit and volume. Bluetooth headsets never seem to get the volume quite right for my tastes, making the overall experience seem more like a chore than a convenience. This new Jabra headset is in keeping with all of the other Jabra headsets I've used in the past with it's slightly wonky comfort level, but it's made up for with some pretty superior sound control schemes.Perhaps the best aspect of this headset is in its ease of use. Flipping the microphone one and off is all you need to do to get it working correctly. You can sync the device with any PC, giving the ability to use apps like Skype with ease. I tested it with Skype and Yahoo messenger systems with nary a flaw, and sound was good all around. The noise cancellation feature is very commendable. I tend to not use bluetooth sets whilst driving for safety reasons, but I tried the sound cancellation intermittently while on a busy highway, and I have to say that it is among the best I've ever heard. Sound quality did not take a single hit at all while I erased background noise, and switching between the two was simple. If you plan to use the headset primarily on the road, I would strongly urge you to investigate this headset. My only gripe is design. It's not that bulky physically, but it manages to come off that way to the sight. You're definitely not going to be hiding this headset. The good folks at Jabra need to keep all of the inner workings of this headset intact, but go back to the drawing board when it comes to design. In summation, these headphones sound fantastic, are easy to navigate, but come at the price of sleekness. Speaking of price, this Jabra set is too much. $150? At $100 we have a deal, but as it stands, the price is a bit too steep for what this headset has to offer.

I used this headset with my iPhone 4S, and waited to put it through its paces with my iPhone 5 before submitting this review. Thankfully, this headset works just great with the iPhone 5.One of the neatest features with Jabra headsets (including this one) is the ability to monitor the device's battery life without any third-party apps on the iPhone. A little battery bar appears at the top of your screen next to the Bluetooth symbol on your iPhone, which is a really, really handy way to see how much life your headset has left.Call quality with this headset is excellent, but this excellence comes with some caveats. I have in my possession three Jabra SUPREME headsets. All of them have very different qualities to the person on the other end. My wife can tell me if I'm using headset A, B, or C in a "blind" test. One of the SUPREME headsets is utterly useless, and my wife complains I sound like I'm talking into a bucket. The other two are reasonably similar, but one of them has the edge. Thankfully, it's this one.Jabra support has been reasonable to deal with regarding getting the bad one replaced, but even then, - let me reiterate, - all three are different. We hope to see some tighter quality control from Jabra in the future to wholeheartedly recommend this headset. That said, if you can get a good one, you'll be very satisfied.4 stars out of 5.

Design and Build: 5/5The lightest and most beautiful headset I could find at this price. Has excellent build quality and is surprisingly lightweight! Comes with two different-sized ear-hooks. Comfortable fit, no pain after wearing it at a stretch of 12 hours. Comes with an ear-gel. Hangs very snugly without an ear-hook, though I prefer using the ear-hook just to be safe. Decent battery backup. Lasted about three days on a single charge. Comes with a micro-usb charger, can also be charged from the computer's USB port using the included data-cable. Charging takes about one-and-a-half hour. A dedicated power button and intelligent button positioning make it easy to operate without mistakes. The buttons are hard to press but that's for the better as it makes it less likely that a button will get pressed by accident. Still, they are a bit too hard.Features: 4/5Good quality microphone picks up voice pretty clearly, albeit not as clearly as the phone's microphone does (Bluetooth technology comes with these shortcomings). Has Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, voice dialing, call reject, redial, call transfer, battery and connection display on the inside. The display proves very useful at times (e.g. when the headset is fully charged). Can pair up to 8 devices but does not connect to more than one device at a time.Audio Output: 3/5Normally, sounds OK at 50%-70% volume, but in very noisy conditions, need to press the speaker to the ear even at max. volume. Other times, max. volume feels very loud.Working Range: 4/5Even if the phone is in another room and the doors are left open, I don't miss a notification, message or a call. However, establishing a conversation with acceptable quality in such a situation becomes impossible. For that, I need to be in the same room with the phone.Audio Clarity Within Working Range: 4/5Sound does not crackle, but loses clarity at times. There is loss voice in quality when there is an obstruction b/w the phone and the headset. Otherwise, works flawlessly (e.g. when the phone is in a trouser pocket).Value for Money: 5/5I bought this device after spending a considerable amount of time looking for a good Bluetooth headset at an affordable price. There were some other decent headsets from Plantronics, Nokia, Samsung and a few 'unheard of' manufacturers; but since Amazon did not ship Nokia and Samsung headsets to India, the list narrowed down to just two brands: Jabra and Plantronics. I finally selected this headset and am very happy with my decision.

I really hate to write nasty reviews but I have owned a lot of bluetooth headsets due to my job keeping me on the road and I need to stay hands free. I am on the phone often with clients and it is important to have a good call quality and noise cancellation is one of the best ways to get that. This head set is horrible at noise cancellation. If you want to just sit on a sofa and talk it may be ok but if you are driving it it the worse. It picks up the roar of any background noise. my Platronics broke so I picked up this one (which was my spare) and used it just for today and only talked to my husband and one other. Both said they could not hear me for the roar in the background. I deal with seniors (65+) so this is totally unacceptable. I do not recommend this headset to anyone. even though it is a cheap model....this is one time you get what you pay for. Buy the Plantronics Voyager Pro HDLittle more expensive but worth every penny!!!!!!

Whoever said size matters might have been thinking of one thing, and that thing might have been a device just like this bulky mechanism that felt like toting around a boulder instead of a device I wanted to wear. I never really got accustomed to that. I have had other items by the same company and, God, the sound is fabulous. It always is. I have used their headsets int he past and i have used others as well, and the idea that things become sleeker with time seems like a plus. I just cannot get used to this being too sizable to have any real use for me because one of the things I am looking for is comfort of use if i am using an item for a prolonged period of time.As far as setting this item up with my computer, I felt like it was almost idiot proof. A little look at the directions and I was off, and in no time the item was working and working well. This is one of the reasons I rate it as high as I do, because i really liked the fact that it hooked to my computer as well.As far as driving, this device does a nice job blocking out sound as well. i loved that feature and i really do not find most good because they tend to not work right. This was perhaps the best thing here, and the device had a lot to it, because driving is so distracting and dangerous if you feel like you are being pulled in too many directions. Here, you just click and go and i liked that. I liked it a lot.I'm giving this a 4, taking away a star because of the size. Perhaps this isn't an issue for you and, if not, this is a superb piece of machinery. Check other reviews - the one thing people agree on is that the device does what it is supposed to; a feat in headsets, to be sure.

Like some other reviewers, I encountered difficulty removing the device from the packaging. This isn't a fatal flaw, but rather a needless annoyance. Once opened, I discovered the Jabra Stone2 is packaged with a headphone that fits tightly into an attractive small smooth round charging dock. The dock utilizes a USB connection which permits it to be charged from any device with a USB port. Included are both a USB cable and an AC adapter, along with an extra package of ear gels, belt clip and the manual. The red light on the charging unit goes off when it is fully charged, and the lights on the headphone unit illuminate when it is removed from the charger to indicate battery charge and connection. My device was fully charged in under two hours. Both units have an attractive matte rubbery black finish.Pushing the earpiece out of the charging unit turns it on. A gummy dry gel coated protrusion is inserted into the ear and the thin curved spike is placed over the ear for secure attachment and a comfortable fit. A voice from the earpiece says "Battery level is high" and it is ready to go.Connecting to devices is simple and explained succinctly in the getting started guide. The voice from the earpiece says "connected" on successful completion. Multiple devices may be connected at the same time, such as an iPod and a phone, which was achieved easily in my tests. While listening to music on the iPod, I was alerted that a phone call was coming in and I answered it by pushing on the answer button. The music stopped during the call and resumed when I hung up. It was effortless and impressive. The earpiece is tiny yet it contains a multitude of operating controls. Volume is adjusted by running a finger up and down the flat surface on the outside of the earpiece which responds with a series of rising or descending tones indicating whether the volume is going up or down. The learning curve for controlling the earpiece with fingers is rather high because different results are achieved with the answer/end button based on the duration of the action. There are five different types of finger commands, tap, double-tap, push, long push, and extra long push. It also responds to voice commands if that feature is supported by the connected phone. Clearly this isn't all intuitive, and may seem complicated, but once learned, quickly becomes rote. There are batteries in both the earpiece and the charging unit. The earpiece has approximately a two hour charge, and the charging unit provides another six hours for a total of eight hours talk time. An important feature is that the earpiece can be recharged from the charge unit even when it is not plugged into an energy source. The connection with the phone remained solid even when the phone was twenty feet away.Over an extended length of time the earpiece remained comfortable to wear and the unit's power and performance stellar. With other units, I had to carry a cable with me and find a place to plug them in between calls, but with the Jabra Stone2, I can leave the cable behind and simply return the earpiece into the charging unit and it is fully charged and ready to go when the phone rings. And, the whole package is so compact that it easily fits into a pocket or purse so it is convenient to pop out and pop on to answer or make a call quickly. After just two weeks of use I don't know how I ever got along without it.

Given that small accessories like this are easily lost or broken, I was reluctant to shell out 40, 50 or even $100 - besides having never owned a bluetooth earpiece I wasn't sure I'd like it... If that makes sense to you - then this is the purchase to make! Received audio quality (from the party you call) is good to excellent, and the "talk audio quality" (what the person you call hears) is adequate and background noise is rather well suppressed (my car is somewhat noisy and using my cell by itself I often get complaints about it, but none so far using this product!)... Setup/pairing is a breeze and battery life appears more than adequate for moderate use. My only complaint is poor ergonomics of the controls, which are a bit tricky to use - even with my fairly small fingers... But given that the only control used frequently is the larger silver band (for redial, end call, etc), I can live with that...Well worth the price! (I'm ordering at least one or two spares in case I lose one!)

This is the 4th BT headset that i've owned. It is the best one so far but still not perfect.Things I like about it:* good sound quality. I've used it when driving and could hear very well. There were no complaints on the other side too so I assume they could hear me well.* comfortable. I use it with the ear piece and it fits well. You can keep it on while driving and it doesn't bother (almost...). I don't know if it's my ears that are different from all the rest of the world but the 'in ear' innovative ways to mount headsets just never work for me... I must have an ear piece that goes around the ear.* affordable. I got this for the incredibly low price of around $15. I am not comfortable with spending $100 or even $50 for a BT headset no matter how nice its features are. The only thing I would pay more for is for excellent sound quality that can handle background noises and winds. I still haven't heard of a headset that does this perfectly so until there is one, I'll just look for ones that don't cost too much.* easy pairing* can be charged via USB so no need for a power socket (but can still be charged using a socket)* dedicated power button* battery and connection indicatorsthings that I think need to improve* power button is very awkward placed.* power/battery/connection indicators only light when the power button is pressed* this is the most annoying thing: you need to press the power button for a few seconds to turn on/off. A sliding power switch with an on/off position would be best: it will be easy to use and will immediately indicate if the device is on or off. I think Jabra are using this for newer modelsIt's worth noting that integration with iPhone is different from my old headset. for example, i don't know how to direct music to the headset (but maybe you're not supposed to do this. I mean why would you listen to music on a one ear headset...). However, with this headset the phone still rings and most sounds are not directed to the headset until you actually start or answer a call, which i find very useful. with my old BT, all sounds were re-directed to the BT so you couldn't hear 'click' sounds when dialing or even message tones etc.
